Ask one thousand men what the correct way to drive is and you will get one thousand different answers back. Ask one thousand men how to set up a home ...

Ask one thousand men what the correct way to drive is and you will get one thousand different answers back. Ask one thousand men how to set up a home theater system and you will get one thousand different answers back, so what does that tell you? That each man has his own way of doing things.

But that doesn't mean there aren't a few ground rules we can't agree on. We've compiled a shortlist of the most important things you need to change in order to masculate your home theater system.

Size Matters

It might seem juvenile but knowing you have a bigger TV than a co-worker or friend is a satisfying feeling. It means you're the go-to-guy for any living sporting event, whether it's basketball, football, baseball or racing.

It makes perfect sense; why have a 42 inch TV when you could have a 60 inch TV? Especially when prices have fallen so much in recent years, the Panasonic VIERA TC-P60S30 is a top quality 60" model and you'll be able to get one for just over $1000.

The Remote Control

If an armchair is a man's throne, then the remote control is his trusty digital servant who runs back and forth from the television adjusting channels and doing other menial tasks.

You should never settle for the basic remote control that comes with your television, they're usually cheap and very boring. The Logitech Harmony One remote is a Goliath of the remote world; it has an LCD touch screen and does literally everything you could want.

Ultimate Comfort

No-one wants to watch TV whilst on an old chair or uncomfortable sofa; what every man needs is a recliner. But not any recliner, you want one made by the professionals, you want a La-Z-Boy recliner.

These bad boys are not only the height of comfort, but they're really useful too. This La-Z-Boy (pictured above) has special fold-up arm rests that allow you to store everything and anything, from your TV remote to your TV guide.

The iHome iP4 Boombox is a music player with a retro design that's been re-imagined to integrate with your iPhone or iPod. The iP4 features SRS TruBass digital signal processing technology and 5 band EQ blasted out through a pair of 4" sub-woofers and separate 1"tweeters. Includes FM radio and auxillary line-in jack and can be powered with the included AC adaptor or 6 D batteries for your convenience.

Why it's cool: Great for lounging at the beach, on a camping trip or for just hanging out on the stoop. If Radio Rahim were around today he'd most definitely be toting around one of these bad boys over his shoulder blasting out Fight the Power. And if you don't get the Radio Rahim reference we suggest you 'do the right thing' and look it up. Also, while you're at it, consider getting yourself the iHome for Christmas.

The Radler Trail Camp Folding Shoes by Timberland are hiking shoes with a twist. Or rather, make that a fold. The shoes feature a rubber sole and a super lightweight upper held together by quality stitching and cord work, all available in one of five colors. We admit, it sounds somewhat pedestrian at first blush, except when you add in the fact there is also a zipper along the side of each shoe that allows you to literally fold it in half. Great Scott!

Why they're cool: Frankly, we hate the idea of wasting precious suitcase or backpack space on the packing of bulky shoes. There is just something utterly inefficient about the whole idea. These shoes fully take care of that problem, and that's besides that fact that the fleece lined footbed of each pair is incredibly comfortable to wear.

Men we recommend them for: Travel Guys, Outdoors Guys, Hiking Guys

The Etip Gloves by North Face are a stylish and comfortable option to help you stay warm while operating all your favorite touchscreen devices in the bitter cold. The ”X-Static” fabric on the tips of the thumbs and index fingers allow you to use your Smartphone, MP3 player or tablet all without ever having to expose your hands to the elements. There is also a silicone grip pattern on the palm to make sure moisture never lets your device slip from your gloved fingers.

Why they're cool: Consider this three pronged argument for the Etip Gloves: a) they're practical because they solve a common winter outdoors problem (who wants to take gloves on and off to send a text message), b) they look good and c) they come at a price that won't break the bank. Win, win and winner!

You've probably noticed some of your friends and co-workers growing out their facial hair this November in what appears to be one of the most questionable grooming decisions of their lives. Or maybe it's just that guy on the bus that you've never actually spoken to but lately seems to be sporting this awful looking lampshade underneath his nose. Well, as it turns, these people aren't just growing the stache for sake of the stache... they're fighting cancer in a movement cleverly titled Movember.

Movember began in Australia in 2003 to increase the public’s awareness of prostate cancer, and since then, over a million people have taken part in this fall phenomenon. As I type this, thousands of men across the country are embarrassing themselves (or in some cases, enhancing their appearance) for a worthy cause.

So just in case you wanted a little further edification on Movember, prostate cancer or some fine looking mustache options check out this infographic (via sortable.com). If you're feeling inspired or generous after giving it a look then head on over to movember.com and make a donation today. It's definitely not too late to get involved and every bit helps!

The Yamaha PDX-11 Portable Player Dock is a handy solution for enjoying your favorite music wherever life takes you. The PDX-11 hooks up to your iPod to deliver crisp mid-range sound and boasts a four-inch subwoofer that provides superior bass to what you'll find in just about any other portable speaker system available. The metal handle makes for easy carry-out and the 3.5 inch input means you can even hook it up to your laptop. AC and battery powered for your convenience.

Why it's cool: Great for grab and go occasions when you're headed out to beach, the park or a camping trip. It's a little bulkier and pricer than, say, the Razor Ferox or the Altec Lansing Oribt but the trade off is having superior sound quality with a large enough boost to entertain a small group. Definitely merits consideration.

Guys we recommend it for: Gadget Guys, Travel Guys, Apple Guys

According to Chris Warner, author of A Tailgater's Guide to SEC Football, the origins of tailgating emanate from post civil war spectators who rode by horse drawn carriages to the first organized football game between Rutgers and Princeton in the fall of 1869. Those early pioneers began the tradition of feasting before sporting events that has become a weekly way of life for many fans. But what we wanted to investigate was not just the lineage of tailgating's history but also come up with a solid blueprint on how to make the most of what has become one of America's favorite past times.

With that in mind we turned to Dave Lamm, the founder of TailgatingIdeas.com. Dave is a die hard Chargers fan, a hardcore tailgater and as close to an expert on the subject you're going to find. He was kind enough to sit down with Mantuitive to discuss a strategy for getting the most out of your tailgate, things to always be aware of and accessories to optimize your experience.

The Gameplan

What did John Wooden say? Failing to prepare is preparing to fail? Well the same goes for tailgating, according to Dave:

I would say preparation and planning is the best way to prepare for a perfect tailgate. Underestimating the number of guests or how much ice you will need puts the damper on any tailgate party. Failing to estimate how much charcoal you will need or how much food to bring it the biggest tailgating faux pas there is. I suggest making a check list of item you think you will need and packing the car the night before. That way you have extra time to remember something you may need and ensures an on time departure which in turn means more tailgating time in the parking lot.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8avxh0pHBY

Go Big or Go Home

If you're looking for some new twists and ideas for your own tailgating extravaganza you might want to consider going all out.

If you are really trying to go all out most people will rent an RV. That way they can have all the comforts of home including their own restroom, a full kitchen including a refrigerator and TVs to watch the early games while tailgating. If going the RV route is not in your budget you definitely need to have a decent sized grill, large cooler fully stocked, plenty of chairs for people to sit and shoot the breeze and some sort of a tent to protect from the sun in the early months of football season and to protect from rain or snow in the later months. I've seen people go as far as to use portable wet bars, portable flat screen TVs that get the full compliment of early football games, even blenders that mix up drink using a cordless drill. Honestly, if you can dream it, someone has probably come up with a way to do it in the parking lot.

On the craziest rig Dave's ever seen:

Probably the craziest contraption I have seen was a guy rigged up a chainsaw motor to power up a blender and would make margaritas with a chainsaw. Motorized beer coolers are pretty cool in that people can party hop without being too far away from a cold one. Some tailgaters will break out the deep fat fryers and will fry an entire turkey in the parking lot. In the college ranks, especially in the SEC, you will see huge grills and smokers on flat bed trailers that would rival the smokers you find at authentic BBQ restaurants. Another cool thing is that the University of Tennessee and the University of Washington both play in stadiums that are close to water. Both of those places encourage what's known as "sterngating" where tailgaters will tailgate on boats instead of in parking lots behind cars.

Are you that up and coming young professional who feels like he’s got it all? Or does that euphoria deflate faster than you know what in cold water when you ...

Are you that up and coming young professional who feels like he’s got it all? Or does that euphoria deflate faster than you know what in cold water when you find yourself in the same room as your parents? If you’re resigned to feeling like a bumbling kid around your parents even when you’re sixty and they’re eighty, then listen up ‘cause I’m here to tell you, Aretha got it right, baby. It’s all about respect.

Now I’m not gonna shine you on with the ‘Do what I say because I’m your Mother’ or the ‘Father knows best’ commandments. Those stopped working when you guys hit the double digits. Re-defining your relationship once you hit the far side of 21 means that you have to take another look at what R-E-S-P-E-C-T should mean. Try following these 7 simple rules:

R = REMEMBER

Parents are people, too. If you want them to respect your life and identity, then acknowledge that labels don’t define them either. They’re not just your Mom and Dad. They had a life before you came along and they have a life outside of you now as well. Ask questions about their lives and share your experiences. Maybe you’ll actually have a meaningful conversation..

E = EARN IT

Get a job. Or, in this economy, keep a job. Work on a plan to become financially independent. Remove the chronic worry that they’re still financially responsible for you and you’ve earned their respect. If you’re in a holding pattern, see rule 3. You have to take risks and you’ve got a better shot at making those risks pay off in dollars if you pursue an education so – go to rule 3.

S = SCHOOL

Parents want you to have a better life than they have. It’s ingrained in parent DNA. Better life = education so-o-o finish high school, get that CSLB license, join the military and have Uncle Sam pay for your education, be ‘My son, the doctor,’ or the best poker player you can be. It doesn’t matter what as long as you pursue some kind of training or education to reach every parent’s secret desire that their child be financially independent as soon as possible.

P = PATIENCE

Be patient with your parents. It’s a virtue. Make a conscious effort to not get annoyed, lose your temper or walk away when the inevitable questions about marriage or grandchildren start popping up – and they will, I guarantee it.

E = EXCUSES

You don’t have to make any. It’s your life so no apologizing for why you’re not married with 2.5 kids and a dog or why you haven’t made partner after six years at the same firm or won a Super Bowl ring. You’re the adult and you call the shots. Just, for heavens sake, make responsible choices. Boomerang back to parents. You don’t get to make them feel guilty for what they didn’t give you. Most parents do the best they can with what they have and they want more for their kids that they’d ever had. So, everybody deals and moves on.

C = COMMUNICATE

Adults share experiences. So take the time to talk about what’s going on in your life and listen to what’s happening in theirs. Talk. Don’t just string a series of monosyllabic words together. Call, text or e-mail once in a while and let them know you’re okay but whatever you do, don’t forget birthdays, Mother’s or Father’s Day or you’ll have a harder time implementing rule 5.

T = THANK YOU

Yup. This one says it all. Plus an occasional ‘I love you’ never killed anybody. So say ‘thank you’ and ‘I love you’ often and you better say it like you mean it if you know what’s good for you!
