Calvin Woon and Jonathan Teng launch IM Buzz Software (IMBuzzSoftware.com), a free service that allows you to harness the power of Software Buzz Marketing. In other words, you will use software to spread the word around about your site, product or services, with the help of the viral marketing power of pass-along software.

Imagine this: You either sell or give away programs that people will find useful. Inside the software are links that lead to your site. The bottomline is that you (and other people) will make others aware of your site, thanks to software that people will use. Now, will this really work for you?

Fortunately, there is a free membership option that gives you rebrandable software each month. This allows you to test (for free) how effective such software is in driving more targeted traffic to your site. Your success hinges on these factors:

Is your target market interested in the particular software?

Is the software content somewhat related to the web site you want to target?

How quickly you can spread that software around.

Simple, right? If the free program, for example, helps people easily calculate the number of calories that they've burned in a day, would it make more sense to promote your forex site or your weight loss blog?

Calvin Woon and Jonathan Teng are smart marketers. While the rebrandable software they will give out each month will help you promote your site, inside the same software are other links that will promote Calvin and Jonathan's site. If you want the software that you spread around to promote only your site, you have the option of going for that package.

Now here's my recommendation: Click here and give IM Buzz Software a try! (It's FREE)

You can rapidly see if this will bring in more traffic to your blog or web site, or even the affiliate program you are promoting. (TIP: Send traffic to your blog or landing page.) After you see how many visitors you are actually able to funnel to your site because of the widely-distributed software, then that's the time you can consider going for the "All Links Are Yours" package. (If you're more entrepreneurial, you can go ahead and try the Platinum package.)

In the meantime, take action and try IM Buzz Software for free.

Peter Drew launches the Brute Force SEO program, and we'll be liveblogging an online experiment to find out if this actually works. What BFSEO promises to do is help you easily create web sites that will send backlinks to your main sites. If you want to succeed online, you basically need just two things: Relevant Content and Backlinks.

The content helps your readers, while the backlinks earn you SEO points which translates to higher rankings in the search engines. As you move up the search engine page results or SERPs, your site will gain more visibility, which leads to more traffic or visitors.

Anyway, let's see what this Brute Force SEO (BFSEO) system can do...

The BFSEO installation is somewhat different from the usual programs or scripts you get over the internet. You will need to log into your Paypal account so you can copy/paste the Transaction ID # (not the subscription number). You will need this Transaction ID number to activate your copy of BFSEO.

(Peter Drew is an innovative programming genius!)

The ID number looks something like this: #9AB12345CD1234567, but when you activate your copy of Brute Force SEO, you do not need to include the # symbol.

NOTE: This is a monthly subscription program that normally goes for $147 a month, but during the early promo period, it will go for only $97 monthly. There's a $1, 7-Day Trial offer that you can play around and experiment with. You should be able to see results within 3 days, so that gives you more than enough time to test-drive the system for only $1.

Action Point: Take the Brute Force SEO 7-Day Trial Offer for Only $1

Now on to the rest of this live blogging experiment...

Okay, our team has quickly gone through the BruteForceSeoReport-Instructions.pdf manual, and Brute Force SEO version 2.0 is now running. We've clicked the "New" button and are starting a new project.

The General Settings window has opened, and it looks like there are options to create accounts in GMail, Yahoo, WordPress.com, and Tripod. You know what this means? Yes, we will review the instructions manual again, watch the video tutorials, experiment, and then update this blog post. Catch you in a few minutes. In the meantime, remember to do the Action Point listed above.

UPDATE #1: We're now doing Niche Keyword Research using Pete Drew's "My Gold Tracker" tool (which is accessible when you try BFSEO), and am compiling several winner keywords and phrases. We're also listing several long-tail keywords which we will use as "tags" when promoting different web sites and blogs. While some amount of guesswork is useful, having statistics about popular keywords will help us ramp up web site traffic. It makes sense, right? A web site that talks about things people are searching for stands a better chance of getting higher traffic.

UPDATE #2: Now registering a domain name, and getting a web hosting account. There's usually a $97 set-up fee if you get the Monthly Plan, but if you enter the promo code "VILORIA" then your set-up fee drops to $47 (you save $50). If you go for the Annual Plan (only $119.40), then the $97 set-up fee is waived (you save $97), plus you'll get an extra domain name... for free.

UPDATE #3: Used the 1-Click Install feature of the web host in Update #2 and set-up the WordPress blog. Easy! Then we've quickly rewritten a few PLR articles on our chosen niche topic, and have chosen a few related videos currently being shown in YouTube. We've also created a few Social Media accounts.... all these in preparation for the main tool at BFSEO. Anyway, we're taking a break now (to do some shopping and attend a party) and will resume in about 5 hours. You can expect the next update at 7am (gmt+0).

UPDATE #4: Now going through the various training videos. The system basically helps you rapidly build partner web sites (on free hosts such as Geocities and Tripod), which help send backlinks to your main site. While this will work in the short-term, it remains to be seen if this will be a viable long-term strategy. My gut feel? It is only a short-term solution. If you're willing to quickly build 10 web sites monthly (with the help of Brute Force SEO), then you'll stand a better chance of recovering your $97 ~ $147 monthly investment.

If you haven't already, Take the Brute Force SEO 7-Day Trial Offer for Only $1

You can make money online with membership sites. These are usually monthly subscription packages which allow you to earn a recurring income month after month. While some members usually drop out after about 4 months into the course, there is a way to make even more money using the power of membership sites and Drip Feed Marketing.

Here's how it's done...

The first thing you need is enough content to last two months, and you will feed this into your membership site at the rate of one blog post per day. Some sites give you access to Month 1, for example, where you can already read any of the blog posts from Day 1 to Day 30. There are different sites, on the other hand, that provide the information on an installment basis with the help of a daily autoresponder message.

Which one to use (access to all 30 posts in a given month, or 1 post revealed via a daily email) is up to you, but the successful ones I've seen simply provide all 30 posts to Month 1 subscribers. Incidentally, writers who can commit to posting everyday have launched their membership sites even if their blog contains only a few days' worth of content. If you're going to use this approach, however, be sure to post every single day or risk losing your credibility.

During the first month, provide extremely basic content (but include one or two slightly advanced topics to appease the non-beginners who subscribe to your membership site) and price the monthly fee at an attractive price of about $9.95 per month. You can even decide to raise the price slightly to, say, $10.95 a month after you get 100 sign-ups:

For the first 100 subscribers, lock-in at $9.95/month
Subscribers 101 to 200, $10.95/month
Subscribers 201 to 300, $11.95/month
...and so on.

And when you present the above info this way:

<strike>For the first 100 subscribers, lock-in at $9.95/month</strike> SOLD OUT.
<strike>Subscribers 101 to 200, $10.95/month</strike> SOLD OUT.
<strike>Subscribers 201 to 300, $11.95/month</strike> SOLD OUT.
Subscribers 301 to 400, $12.95/month - only 47 slots left.

If you wait too long, the next batch of members will lock-in their membership at $13.95 per month. So sign up now and save!

Well... you can probably guess what effect your salesletter will have on your readers or potential members, right? They will grow excited because they will see that a lot of people are signing up for your course. And yes, this is the tactic used in Niche Blogging Success.

Now here's how to make even more money...

Allow comments in your blog and the beginners will start posting questions that can be answered by your Month 2 material. You can reveal part of the answer in your replies, and then add something such as: "...we will go into greater detail in Month 2."

TIP: Plan your content so that your material gets more "exciting" and sought after in the later months. But don't stretch it out too long.

Eventually, your commenters will say things like: "I can't wait for Month 2. I want it now! Can't I prepay the subscription price of Month 2?"

Here's where you can offer a Lifetime Membership Option for $97. You can market it along the lines of: "Say goodbye to monthly dues. This one-time payment gives you Lifetime Member status, and you will get advance access to materials are they become available."

True, some members will do the math and figure out that at $97, that means they should expect around 10 months' worth of material. Now if the topic covered by your membership course isn't exactly expandable to 10 months or 300 blog posts, such members will simply exercise patience and wait for the succeeding months to roll in. Not everyone is as patient, however, and those are the ones who will opt for the $97 Lifetime Member package.

Did you catch that? Most members drop out after 4 months, so if they're among the early birds paying you $9.95 a month, the most you can expect from them is $39.80 yet here you are with the opportunity to earn $97 from your rabid and impatient fans. Just make sure you have a solid plan of delivering around 10 months worth of content, or you'll end up with a considerable number of disgruntled customers.

If you want to boost your earnings from your Membership Site, try drip feed marketing today and see your membership revenues rise.

Tags: membership sites

You can now use Twitter for affiliate marketing purposes, which will help drive more traffic to your site. This assumes that you are an online merchant who has an affiliate program in place, and you have a number of affiliates who are also using Twitter.

This technique is called Rapid Twitter Marketing, because you will make it easy for your affiliates to promote your site (via their aff link, of course) via Twitter. The hope here is that some of their Twitter followers will see their "tweet" and will end up visiting your site.

And here's how this is done...

Step 1: Log into Twitter.com

The technique requires that you and your affiliates are logged into Twitter. This achieves two things: It allows you to check if your pre-made Twitter message is 140-characters or less, and it also allows your affiliates-who-use-Twitter to make use of your pre-made Tweet.

If your affiliates are not logged into Twitter before they click on the special link, this technique will not work. It helps a lot if your message to your affiliates clearly reminds them to log into Twitter.com first.

Step 2: Create the Pre-Made Twitter message URL.

Here's what it looks like (please make sure you're logged into Twitter if you want to see what should happen when you visit the link, which will open in a new browser window):

http://twitter.com/home?status=Reading+%40ManuelViloria%27s+Rapid+Twitter+Marketing!+-++at+http%3A%2F%2Fwww.manuelviloria.com/archives/rapid-twitter-marketing

Okay... let's break it down:

The + symbol represents a space. Normally, you will broadcast an email to your mailing list instructing them to first log into Twitter, and then visit the link that represents your pre-made Twitter message. If you simply use spaces, the link will break and will no longer be clickable in your affiliates' Inbox. By using the plus symbol, you help ensure that the long URL remains clickable.

The %40 symbol represents the @ symbol. In Twitter, placing an @ in front of a Twitter username makes that username clickable. This will help drive traffic to your Twitter homepage.

The %27 symbol represents the apostrophe ('), %3A stands for the colon (:), and %2F is the url escape code for the forward slash (/).

Yes, you can do away with all those url escape codes and simply use this (with + symbols, but no url escape codes):

http://twitter.com/home?status=Reading+@ManuelViloria's+Rapid+Twitter+Marketing!+-++at+http://www.manuelviloria.com/archives/rapid-twitter-marketing

or even this (no + symbols, no url escape codes):

http://twitter.com/home?status=Reading @ManuelViloria's Rapid Twitter Marketing! - at http://www.manuelviloria.com/archives/rapid-twitter-marketing

Those URLs (without the + symbol or the url escape codes) will work in a blog or static web page, but some email systems will not be able to interpret the URL correctly. So if you want to reach as wide an audience as possible and have the links clickable right within their email, please use the version which makes use of url escape codes.

Here's the recommended version (works in both web pages and email messages):

http://twitter.com/home?status=Reading+%40ManuelViloria%27s+Rapid+Twitter+Marketing!+-++at+http%3A%2F%2Fwww.manuelviloria.com/archives/rapid-twitter-marketing

Assuming your affiliates are logged into Twitter before they click on the specially crafted link, your message will appear in their "What Are You Doing?" Twitter box. All they'll have to do to complete the process is to click on the "Update" button.

Step 3: Remind your affiliates to click on the UPDATE button.

In your email message (or in your blog post if you choose to communicate with your affiliates via your blog), remind them to click on the Twitter update button. Otherwise, that tweet will not appear in their Twitter timeline.

And what will the tweet look like? Using the above example, it will look something like this in Twitter (although the long url of your blog post might be shortened with a TinyURL-converted link):

Reading @ManuelViloria's Rapid Twitter Marketing! - http://www.manuelviloria.com/archives/rapid-twitter-marketing

If you create a Twitter message yourself, some of your followers will end up visiting your site. Now imagine what would happen if other people will tweet about your site? Yes, some of their followers will visit your site.

Web site traffic is a numbers game, and this Rapid Twitter Marketing tactic provides a win-win situation for both you and your affiliates, because it allows you to appear in places where people get together online (i.e., Twitter), and spread your message easily.

What if you don't have affiliates? No problem! Simply twist this tactic and communicate with your Twitter friends. If you don't have a product to sell, but are promoting someone else's product (because you are the affiliate), you can get your Twitter friends to sign-up as an affiliate under you.

When your Twitter friends send traffic to your blog post, their own affiliate link can appear in your blog post (with a bit of PHP magic called JV Plus). And even if the full affiliate commission goes to them (which is only fair since it was their tweet that brought in the traffic), you will still earn a commission if the affiliate program you've both enrolled in is a 2-tier type of program.

What are you waiting for? Act today and see your web site traffic rise, with the help of Twitter marketing!

Some friends have been asking: Which is more profitable, a blog or a traditional static web site? Which attracts more visitors? Which makes more money? Perhaps this question keeps getting thrown around because a lot of folks are worried about the technical aspects of creating a blog. Can't I just build a simple web page and start earning online? Or do I have to read hard to understand techie stuff just to get by, assuming I survive the 10-month reading process?

Relax. The short answer is: The ordinary static site makes more money than the blog.

Here's why...

Ordinary static sites and web pages offer fewer distractions. They don't have the usual widgets that pepper the sidebars of most blogs. They also tend to have simpler, non-flashy designs that help the readers focus on the content, rather than on the design. If you want to make money online, you will need to focus both your efforts as well as the attention of your readers.

Non-blogs also tend to be more secure in the sense that you don't have to constantly keep track of the latest version of WordPress. For example, there are static sites that were last updated over 5 years ago, and they don't have any vulnerabilities found in "update every quarter" WordPress blogs.

Static sites tend to look "unique" from an html code point of view. If you look at the code of many WordPress-powered niche blogs, you will find several similarities. Other people call this a "footprint." No wonder a lot of online marketers prefer to build static sites. Some of them even use tools like XSitePro.

Traditional web pages have fewer duplicate content issues. If you build a WordPress blog, you'll have a higher chance of unwittingly creating duplicate pages. For example, some of your Category pages or even Archives might look like your actual blog posts. It's all automatic. With non-blogs, it takes more effort to accidentally create a duplicate page.

So, does this mean we can forget about blogs? Of course not.

With WordPress blogs, you can easily create a lot of web pages. With all those web pages, you can do a bit of programming to find out which layouts will maximize your online earnings. You can also quickly test different color combinations to figure out what works well with your site visitors. Armed with this marketing knowledge, you can then adjust your static sites to increase your online revenues even more.

All in all, it helps to build a combination of blogs and non-blogs. Sure you can try and monetize all of them. Afterall, there are some niche bloggers who are making $5,000 a month. Just make sure, however, that you're able to use them in line with their strengths: Blogs for online marketing information and SEO traffic, static web pages for maximum earnings.

Robert Plank launches his set of ready to go PHP scripts at ReadyToGoPHP.com, where he offers seven hand-picked PHP scripts that internet marketers can use. These are easy copy/paste PHP scripts that even non-techies keen on making money online can easily use.

I'm particularly interested in one of them (called Multi Countdown), because it has now become easier to do Anticipation Marketing online...

When I say "anticipation marketing", I'm referring to the act of building interest, anticipation, and excitement among your potential customers so that when your product finally launches, they will rush to your web site and snap up your offer.

In fact, don't be surprised if you have hundreds of visitors repeatedly refreshing their web browsers as they impatiently wait for your web site to get updated.

In the past, we used to do it by getting a webmaster to manually edit the web page and upload the new version at an appointed time. With Robert Plank's Multi Countdown script (one of seven PHP scripts in Ready To Go PHP), we can now do away with nailbiting, timed web site updates because the script allows you to sit back and relax as it automatically makes the changes at the right time.

One thing you can also try with the Multi Countdown script is chained product launches. You can have the script countdown to product launch number 1, for example, and then present new mini-offers after your first product launch, after which you can present another countdown to product launch number 2, and so on.

If you don't have your own set of products, then simply use this script to promote other products via affiliate marketing. When you get advance notice of upcoming product launches, you use that data to set a schedule of product announcements and have the Multi Countdown PHP script make the web page updates automatically for you.

If you're curious, please check out Robert Plank's scripts at ReadyToGoPHP.com (nope, that's not an affiliate link) and see what 162 people have gotten in just 3 hours.

Eric Rockefeller and Howie Schwartz launch Google Wealth Maker (aka Automatic Wealth Maker or Google Wealth Taker) not to give you an example of a confused marketing/branding campaign, but to give you a tool that uses Twitter to create hundreds of web pages automatically (for SEO, listbuilding, or affiliate marketing purposes).

At $77/month, you're better off saving your money (unless you have mastered the use of Twitter). Here's why...

Google Wealth Maker automates certain activities that you can perform manually yourself (and thus save you the $77 monthly expense). Some of these manual techniques are things you can learn in TwitterSqueeze (which is only $27, one-time).

Here are examples of those activities:

Post Google news automatically to your Twitter account.

Automatically follow other people in Twitter.

What GWM (or GWT or AWM) also does is insert affiliate links in your Tweets or Twitter messages. The thinking here is that when you have a large enough following in Twitter, those people who see your tweets will click on over to your affiliate offer, and then whip out their credit cards and buy online, thus giving you a lot of affiliate commissions.

Er... does it really work that way?

If you have tried using Twitter, ask yourself: What makes you follow someone in Twitter?

Do you follow someone because they post Google news, or affiliate links? I don't know about you, but people tend to follow Twitter-ers who share useful or entertaining messages. And if they're sufficiently entertained enough, they may even take steps to get to know you more. From there, you can build an online relationship, which could (later on) lead to making money online.

You have to admit, $77 a month is not exactly a small chunk of change. Unless you're already making that much from your Twitter account, and would like to speed up or expand your Twitter affiliate marketing of listbuilding campaigns, right?

Bottomline: If you're willing to successfully build a following in Twitter the manual way, and if you're seeing promising results from your manual efforts, then consider the Google Wealth Maker automated approach. If not, then just save your money.

There are many things you can write about on the web, and the trick is to find out which are the profitable niche blogging topics. What areas must you focus on, so that you spend less time on trial-and-error and more time cashing in on your online writing campaigns. True, there are enough people interested in such diverse topics, but which ones are worth your while?

In other words, how do you become a niche blogging success?

The key to profitable niche blogging rests on your topic. If you choose a topic that hardly anyone searches for, then your web site is doomed to pitiful low traffic which ultimately leads to low profits (if any at all). Pick a topic that gets loads of traffic but hardly attracts any advertisers or online merchants, and you'll end up with a high website bandwidth bill with no income to recover your costs.

Here's one approach you can take: Sit down and list the topics you are interested in. Go ahead and try it. Before you know it, half an hour will pass and you'll probably be stuck with a sheet of paper containing less than 5 items. If that happens, you're probably focusing too much on what you already know.

If you want to expand your interests, you will need to step out of your comfort zone and do a bit of extra reading. Afterall, how will you know what new things you may become highly interested in if you don't even bother looking at new things or new places, right?

It sounds rather simple, yet there are things you will need to figure out first. For example, where can you find those new topics? And how can you tell if that initial list is worth looking at in the first place? How can you find out if you're just chasing a topic down a dead-end, low-profit street?

In the example above, you'll find a short list of topics tackled by what some would consider a "serious about writing" group online. They did not target just any topic off the top of their heads. They carefully chose the topics that they were willing to spend time writing about, because they know that only certain subjects will be worth their time.

In Month #1 of The Niche Blogging Success Course, you will be shown where those list of topics are. When you read through those different lists, you will either remember your old interests, or new ideas will leap off the page and catch your attention.

(Now that's a smarter and faster way to brainstorm for niche blogging topics to write about, don't you think?)

I also liked the tips in Month #1 about how to further evaluate if a topic you like has enough demand, and if your online articles or webpages will have a good chance of attracting enough traffic and readers to make your blogging efforts profitable.

Remember, a lot of probloggers succeed because they publish useful original content. Most of them were just lucky to have stumbled upon popular, high traffic, and profitable topics. You, on the other hand, will be able to find those topics faster. Here's wishing you success in your online niche blogging business!

What exactly is duplicate content, and will the search engines penalize your site if you have it? What if other sites scrape your content, will your site suffer when those scraper sites rank higher than your web pages? Or is all this worry about duplicate content needless since dupe penalties on the web are just a myth?

Let's see what Google has to say...

In Demystifying the "duplicate content penalty", Webmaster Trends Analyst Susan Moskwa writes that there is no such thing as a duplicate content penalty.

In other words, if your web site has a screen version and a print version of the same web page, you will not get slapped with a dupe penalty.

However, the following activities (which look like duplication) will get you in hot water:

Republishing other content... without adding additional value.

Scraping content from other sites.

Creating other web sites which contain info that's similar to info found in your other sites.

What happens if you want to spin off part of your site into a separate domain? You will need to use 301 redirects so that the search engines will not see your sites as pages to penalize.

So, who are truly worried about duplicate content? These are usually legitimate online publishers whose web site structure produces a lot of duplicate content. For example, if you have a WordPress blog that has a 1-post category, both the blog post url and the Category url will contain practically duplicate content.

It is to this group of people that Google says: there is no such thing as a duplicate content penalty.

Unfortunately, some internet marketers will tell people: "Hey, there's no dupe content issue, so go ahead and start a blog using content found in other web pages." Clearly, the search engines will impose some kind of penalty, because the intent of the blog or site owner was to simply put up a site using only or mostly content which is already being used in other sites.

The intent, in other words, is to get something for nothing (by publishing pages with little or no content).

So, if someone is selling you a system of automatically populating your blog purely with online content you don't own (or content already found in your other sites), and then they add that "there is no duplicate content penalty", and you still insist on not adding new or unique content, then don't be surprised if your web site does not last long in page 1 of the search engine results.

For hardworking online publishers, the duplicate content penalty is just a myth. But for shortcut publishers who don't even want to contribute original articles online, the dupe content penalty is as real as the truth behind their intent in simply re-publishing articles in their web sites.

How much advertising revenue can your blog generate each month? Should you even bother, or should you just blog for the heck of it and forget about making money on the web? Or should you simply chuck all this blogging stuff out of the window because this is all just a waste of time?

Well, if yours is a typical blog that touches on a wide range of general subjects, here's a nifty way of estimating your monthly blog earnings...

In YesButNoButYes.com's So WTF Are We Doing Wrong?, Scaramouch wonders about a state of the blogosphere post over at TechCrunch which reveals how some blogs with at least 100,000 unique visitors a month can earn $75,000 a year. YBNBY's experience, however, is more modest.

Assuming a monthly advertising revenue of $1,250 and about 250,000 unique visitors per month, that comes out to $0.005 or half a cent per unique visitor. So if your blog is similar to YBNBY in terms of content, where your visitors come from, and advertising layout, you can expect about $22.50 in advertising revenues a month if your site attracts 100 unique visitors daily.

In other words, if you want to reach at least $100 per month (we're talking about advertising dollars here, not affiliate marketing commissions), your site has to have around 700 visitors a day. Please note that these are conservative figures because the example site used has minimal ads which are not placed in the high visibility areas of the page.

Now there's a business blog that gets around 1,200 unique visitors daily. Based on the above estimates, that blog should be earning at least $180 in monthly AdSense dollars. Given the more aggressive placement of his ads, however, I estimate his monthly earnings at around $450. Not bad, right, especially for content which is not originally his.

What about you? Are you earning at least half a cent per unique visitor? Or do you need tips on how to tweak your content and layout?

Whichever strategy you choose, the important thing is that you actually have fun publishing content. If you just focus on the money, your initial no or low earnings might discourage and keep you from reaching the potential you thought you never had.

Internet marketers and aspiring probloggers have been struggling with content. What kind of content must we publish? Will we get away with junk articles, or do we have to come out with high quality, unique blog posts? Will the search engines penalize our site if we publish duplicate content? Or does all of this not really matter?

Well, a veteran internet marketer shares his take on the issue of content creation...

Grizz writes in his Make Money Online blog a post entitled "The Difference between Professional Marketers and Bloggers" (but with a blog url title of Credit Cards MMO). From there you can already see the difference in blog SEO approach between internet marketers and bloggers.

For Grizz, it's not a question of which is more important: Content or Links. For him, links are all that matters if you are an Internet Marketer.

Yet if you think about it, what exactly gives power to the links that point to your web site? What is it about those webpages that provide backlinks that makes their online linkages count? What do those pages have, aside from the link?

Yes, those pages contain CONTENT.

If links are all that matters, then let's see a web site that ranks high (and maintains that ranking) in the search engines because it has numerous links from sites that contain junk content. If you can show us that, then yes, links are all that matters.

From what I've seen, on the other hand, writing good content and getting links are important if you want to have sustainable high rankings in the search engines.

Grizz also talks about quality content versus relevant content. It looks like the discussion on the kind of content we should put in our blogs stems from differences in definitions. What may appear as quality content to you, might only appear as relevant (not quality) content to others.

For example, if you do a search for credit cards you'll find that the top results basically offer the same content. But of course... these are reference sites that list which credit cards are available online. These sites target people who want to apply for a credit card, so similar to other reference materials such as encyclopedias or dictionaries, the content will more or less look the same.

No, those sites do not contain quality articles. Those sites are not even blogs; they're just static sites. Yet if you visit those web pages, you will find that the information is well presented and makes life easier for people searching for credit cards. What do you call easy to read and useful content on the web? I call that quality content.

As I've mentioned earlier, it's mostly a matter of definitions and perceptions. What's considered quality in your eyes, might only be considered relevant in the eyes of others.

There's a key lesson in the post of Grizz: Search for a niche in Google and see what the top results are, and find out from Google exactly what kind of content it wants for that niche. Notice, though, that the key word here is content.

In other words, whether you decide to build a static site or a blog does not really matter (although some people believe that static sites are better than blogs, or that blogs are better depending on which group you belong to). What matters is the kind of information you put on those web pages...

...Or the kind of "quality" information that other people put in their webpages, before they link to your "non-quality" website.

Your SEO Strategy: Create content, or partner with other site owners who publish content that makes the search engines relevant. With this approach, you no longer over-analyze your own posts and debate whether your content is quality or relevant. You simply ask the question: "If my webpage occupies the #1 spot in the search engine results for a particular keyword or phrase, will that make the search engine relevant?"

If you can help increase the relevance and usefulness of the search engines (because the people searching for information will find useful info in your site that will help them solve their problems), then you've done your search engine marketing job (depending, of course, on what your goal is).

People have different goals and different needs. As Grizz points out the difference between Internet Marketers and Social Bloggers, between profitable search engine traffic and low income social traffic, or between high earning write-for-the-search-engines and the noble but starving artist write-for-your-readers approach, you need to ask yourself this question:

What exactly do you want?

Your answer to that question will make a huge difference in how you approach content creation out here on the web. Be relevant by yourself and also within a network of static web sites and blogs, and you will see your traffic and online earnings soar.

Frank Carr launches Blog Content Wizard to help satisfy the demand for creating content easily on the web. Specifically, this software creates keyword-focused web pages, but before you go off and get hold of this program, there are certain things you need to consider first.

For example, it is all too easy to jeopardize your current online income streams if you mis-use this, but with a few adjustments you'll be able to tame the beast known as the Blog Content Wizard.

BCW takes your list of keywords, and then mix-and-matches those with a list of about 20,000 cliches or phrases. Sometimes, your chosen keywords are inserted within a phrase, other times each adage or saying is displayed as a single sentence (with no targeted keywords inserted within).

In other words, you'll end up with blog posts that look like they were written by people who can't write or express themselves properly, because they were not confident enough to stay away from some bedside dictionary of quotes or sayings. For some people, the posts will also look like they were written by some erratic individual.

Burn this in your mind: Blog Content Wizard produces content similar to those written by mentally unstable people. To be fair, though, Frank Carr never promised that you will get sterling content of impeccable (or even passable) quality.

What's the point of using BCW? You can quickly produce keyword-rich "content" that does not look like it's automated, because it does not look like gibberish. The common hope or belief is that the search engines will not be able to detect that the post was just written by a robot.

This hope is not sustainable in the long run.

Sooner or later, the search engines will be able to tell if your post was created by some program. Don't be surprised if one day, your high ranking BCW-generated web pages suddenly disappear from the search engines. Afterall, people can easily tell. And if people can easily see if content is just slapped together, then patterns can also be detected.

Tip #1: Do not monetize your BCW pages.

A number of advertisers will not be too pleased if you place their ads on pages which contain worthless junk. You risk losing not only your online business reputation, but also your other income streams.

Tip #2: Experiment with BCW, but don't clutter the search engines.

Google, for example, wants to give searchers a good or useful searching experience. If you force your autogenerated webpages into the search engine results, you risk catching the ire of companies whose databases you fill up with junk, right? Hence, if you want to see the power of BCW, take steps to keep those pages out of the search engines.

Tip #3: Look beyond search engines and advertisers.

There's more to life than AdSense and advertisers. Yes, I'm referring to merchants running affiliate programs. Just make sure to check their Terms, though. So far, I haven't seen merchants prohibiting their affiliates from promoting their products on pages that contain worthless content.

Tip #4: Add value to BCW.

While BCW does contain a dictionary of 20,000 phrases you still have the ability to create your own dictionary. That means you can compile a list of applicable phrases that are not simple quotes or cliches. You can even group related phrases per dictionary list. Yes, it will entail a fair amount of effort, but over time you'll be able to produce good content in less time.

In the end, Frank Carr's Blog Content Wizard (BlogContentWizard.com) is a tool that can be abused or used properly. But more than that, it can lead you to new avenues of creative growth, and can even inspire you to produce useful content much faster. And someday, you will discover (if you haven't already), that the true content wizard is not something bundled within lines of script or code, but hides somewhere between your ears.

One of the successful business models online involves the creation of Content, which then leads to higher Traffic, which allows you to Connect with more people, and which eventually leads to Monetization. Congratulations to those of you who have made the first step, which is to publish content online. It can be quite difficult to come up with content, though. Fortunately, there is a way to easily produce content for your blog, particularly if you have a WordPress-powered blog.

And that secret tool is Article Marketing Automation.

You can register for free, and what it does is that it allows you to easily add articles about a focused topic to your blog, on a regular basis, hands-free (after you've set it up). Here are some of the topics covered by those instant articles:

Arts and Entertainment, Automotive, Business, Cancer, Communications, Computers and Technology, Finance, Food and Drink, Health and Fitness, Home and Family, Home Based Business, Home Improvement, Insurance, Internet and Businesses Online, Kids and Teens, Legal, News and Society, Pets, Real Estate, Recreation and Sports, Reference and Education, Relationships, Self Improvement, Shopping and Product Reviews, Travel and Leisure, Women's Interest, Writing and Speaking... and these are just the broad topics.

How Does This Work?

You will create an Author account in your WordPress-powered blog (not the one hosted for free at Wordpress.com, but your own hosted WordPress blog), and you will enter the username and password into the Article Marketing Automation (AMA) system. AMA will then periodically add entries to your enrolled blog, and these entries will be about the topics you choose.

In other words, it's like you have a team member helping you build your blog. You will create blog posts about a certain topic, while the AMA "author" will post in another category. If you feel too tired to write today, no problem! There's someone adding content to your blog on a regular basis.

Who Are Writing Those Articles?

Those people are article marketers. They write articles which contain links to their own web sites, and then allow others to republish those articles. As these pages spread all over the web, that translates to free links pointing back to the web site of the person who created the article.

Traditionally, people submit their articles to article directories such as EzineArticles (EA). Website owners in need of content visit EA, choose the articles they want (arranged according to different categories), and then republish those articles on their previously content-less sites, with the condition that the author's resource box is also displayed, along with the links.

You can imagine how tedious that can be. Copy/paste, and then edit the article so that the links are live. In some cases, the resource box is removed, and the original article writer does not benefit at all.

With the Article Marketing Automation system, people in need of content no longer need to copy/paste. The system logs into the various WordPress blogs, and then posts or publishes the articles that the original article marketer wants spread around.

It is this aspect of automation that makes AMA attractive to both writer and blogger. Perhaps it would be easier to see what I'm talking about if you find one of your neglected blogs, and then register here for your free Instant Blog Content account over at ArticleMarketingAutomation.com

(Remember, however, that there are other people thinking of the same thing. In other words, add your own content to your blog, so that it does not contain only "instant" articles. Have fun!)

To clarify what we mean by success, Amy has built her online income to around $5,000 a month within a period of 12 months, with the help of her network of blogs.

Wouldn't you like to achieve that level of niche blogger financial independence? Before you go ahead and jump right in and enroll in the course, there are some things you have to know...

Amy started last August 26, and content is being added on a daily basis.

So if you're expecting to immediately read Amy's advanced secrets, you will need to wait a while. This is a trickle-type of membership, where you have to go through the content in Month 1 before you will get to see the other topics in Month 2.

In other words, assuming the price is still at $12.95 per month, you'll invest a little under $26 before getting to the content of Month 2. No, you can't advance immediately, but you can ask Amy about such an arrangement, because she also offers a One-On-One Coaching track for $97.

If you're patient, however, you will find in Month 1 the basics of setting up a WordPress blog. Amy clarifies that she prefers to present niche blogging tactics in a step-by-step fashion, so the starting foundation rests on having a good grasp of how to set-up your WordPress blog.

Oh no, boring stuff, I groaned.

Afterall, why should we pay $12.95 for something we can read from the WordPress help files, right? Well, I decided to go through the basics in Amy's site just the same, and found something new in the section about permalinks.

The surprising thing is that Amy's recommended permalink structure is so different from what the internet marketing gurus have preached.

In fact, ManuelViloria.com is using the wrong structure! (No, I will not change the structure of this site anymore, but I will use Amy's highly recommended and battle-tested permalink structure when launching future blogs.)

How can Amy's permalink structure produce blog pages that rank higher and gain search engine visibility boosts over the structure that a lot of gurus have taught? Why is this happening?

Well, Amy does not know the why's. All she knows is that based on her extensive experience, it works. And it works very well in her case, to the tune of $5,000 a month. How many niche blogging gurus can beat that performance, right?

So if you're an intermediate or experienced WordPress problogger who thinks you already have the basics down pat, you might want to find out how Amy sets-up her high earning niche blogs. For example, how many blog posts to show on the homepage? How many posts to include in the RSS feed? What are the magic numbers and settings?

Now if you're a beginner, be assured that Amy will gently take you through the basics, and beyond. And Amy has proof of her ability to teach anyone, as you will soon find out.

Curious about how a $5k/month niche blogger does it? Grab the latest info now. Go and join the Niche Blogging Success membership site of Amy Bass today!

So you've been reading blogs left and right, absorbing tutorials on internet marketing, taking notes about this or that Adsense tip, and getting inspired to try problogging. You've mustered the guts to learn WordPress, and even resolved to start a free blog in Blogger or Blogspot. You have everything... except for content.

What will I write about? You're at your wit's end. Stop. Relax. Now read the rest of this post and find out where to find content for your blog...

1. First Thing's First -- Relax.

Go ahead and put up a site. Yes, even if it will be a free Blogspot blog. Just go right ahead and create one and post whatever you feel like posting. No pressure. Simple, relaxed writing. Write about your day, or what you ate, or what you think about this or that news item. Anything that suits your fancy.

Just. Sit. Down. And. Write.

Now, that wasn't so hard, was it? Afterall, there was no strict outline, no formal Goals/Objectives, no grammar police. You simply started writing.

2. Write For Yourself.

Don't worry if no one will even read your blog. There's no pressure. There's no rush. All you're after is the chance to publish words (and perhaps even images) online. That's all. Before you know it, you'll get pretty bored with the usual mundane stuff about how your day went. You'll go beyond the bland enumeration of your meals, or how someone irked you, or the how you almost slipped on a wet floor.

Pretty soon, you'll start noticing a curious thing: You'll start writing longer entries. You'll end up publishing 250 to 500 word posts. Effortlessly. Again, no pressure as you ramble on in your general or whatever blog.

3. Start Observing and Remembering.

As you lengthen your articles, you'll end up remembering more things. You'll also find yourself jotting things down on scraps of paper or even a notebook. Your blog posts will grow, and so will the topics you cover. You'll recall conversations, whether with others or those you simply overheard while taking a break at Krispy Kreme or Starbucks, or even at Jollibee. You'll remember questions thrown to the air.

And then... you'll discover that you actually have the answer to the question, or the solution to the problem. And when that happens, you'll...

4. Start Writing For Others.

You'll start posting those solutions online. Again, effortlessly. Afterall, you've by this time gotten so used to tap-tap-tapping on that keyboard and blogging online. It will feel like you're composing an email, only this time it will be longer. It will seem like you've having a conversation online, only with just one person. A single person whom you're trying to reach through that single rectangular area where you type your words.

And once you start writing longer pieces for the benefit of others, that's when you'll notice that your site traffic begins to increase. From one visitor a day, it will grow to five, then 20, and even perhaps up to 100. The more you help others, the faster you answer their questions, the higher your traffic will grow.

So, where will you find content for your blog?

From others. Speak with people and find out their problems. Then search for the solutions and blog about it.

From conversations. Sometimes, a casual email will reveal a problem or question, even if you were not searching for it. In certain cases, you might already have the answer right there in your mind, without you needing to conduct research. Go ahead and write/blog about it.

From your problems. Have you ever faced a problem which you ended up solving? Well, guess what? You're not the only person with that problem. So look at your own life and share your solution with others through your blog.

From print media. Read newspapers and magazines, or even comics. Believe it or not, but not everything in the printed world is already on the web. Just check newspapers and you'll see how a lot of it is not found in the online edition. That will give you tons of ideas on what to blog about.

In the end, you will realize that we are all swimming in a sea of Content. Even while we sleep, we dream. And when we awake, we will have something to write about. For example, I once wrote about my OOBE.

You will find that there are stories locked in each one of us, even if we are quiet introverts who would rather keep to ourselves. The very fact that you are here, reading all this because you are interested in blogging, is proof that you have things in you bubbling and waiting to be published online. So go ahead and take the first step. Go and create a free blog today. Go and take that first step, towards making money online.

(This post was inspired by a short message sent in Facebook. Imagine that. Thanks, D!)

Nuffnang Philippines reaches out to practically all bloggers (especially to those who have at least 20 unique visitors daily), and is rolling out an awareness program. For many budding bloggers, this may be a chance to make money online even if they are just starting out. Is it truly possible to earn through online advertising, even if your site traffic is still quite low? For numerous aspirants, that hope might be fulfilled by Nuffnang.

Nuffnang started in South East Asia, and has recently spread to the Philippines. For the longest time, membership was exclusively limited to countries such as Singapore and Malaysia, but now that bloggers from the Philippines can join, it comes as no surprise that a flood of bloggers have rushed to the Nuffnang Philippines Registration Page.

What feature do I like about Nuffnang? It would be the analytics. You can see a graphical report of your web site traffic, neatly classified according to each blog that you enroll. With just a click of a button, you can quickly shift the view from Site A to Site B, for example. Plus, you can also see where your visitors are coming from. And so can Nuffnang, of course.

Another feature I like is the Nuffnang Philippines community. It would be much better, though, if there were some kind of page which handily lists the different bloggers. For now, it's a matter of trial-and-error, as I try to guess the different profile pages of the Pinoy bloggers:

What's your Nuffnang username?

Will this Nuffnang really help you make money? Here's where it gets iffy, though. Please bear in mind that Nuffnang is like an advertising broker. They will look for advertisers who are willing to advertise in your blog. If you were in a marketing person's shoes, would you advertise your product and services in your blog?

Just because you prepare some ad space in your site, that does not automatically mean you will attract advertisers. It would help, though, if we would somehow get information regarding the kind of advertisers who are going to participate in the Nuffnang ad network, as well as their product and services. That way, you can quickly assess if there's a fit between your blog's visitors, and the companies the advertisers represent.

If you feel that you are in a good position to try Nuffnang, then head on over to Nuffnang.com.ph and sign up. Your application will most likely be approved within 48 hours.

After you're accepted, check out the special 68 bloggers promo of Nuffnang, where they invite 68 bloggers to write about Nuffnang (deadline is Sept 30, 2008). Up for grabs is P500 for each of the 68 chosen bloggers (but please keep in mind that the minimum payout is P1,500 or P2,000 depending on your status). In other words, you won't receive the P500 in cash just like that. You'll need to reach the minimum payout in advertising earnings first.

It's still early days, and no one really knows for sure if many bloggers will actually make money with Nuffnang. What's clear up front, however, is that Nuffnang is doing an outstanding job of marketing their service online, at a very low cost. Clearly, there's a lesson to be learned here, and marketers who are evolving along with the increasingly wired consumers may take their cue from this.

All in all, think of this as your experiment as you try wading in the waters of online advertising. Consider this a learning experience, as you come to face to face with the question of whether your blog as an online watering hole is attractive enough to catch the attention of paying advertisers.

You've probably heard of Twitter and micro-blogging. But what about macro-blogging? Actually, it's just a term I'm toying around with to refer to "blogs" where you can use more than 140 characters per entry. There's a free service available that's somewhat similar to Twitter and Plurk, and it is called Rejaw.

Rejaw allows you to input up to 1000 characters per message or "shout" as people in Rejaw call it. You can also sent private messages or "whispers" to other people. The format is similar to Twitter (vertical scrolling), and the threaded comments plus ability to share images and videos reminds me of Plurk.

Check out this example: http://rejaw.com/manuelviloria/

Here's the key to getting more traffic to your site: Remember that Rejaw attracts a crowd.

Some people hang around Plurk; others, around Twitter. And yet others prefer to watch videos at YouTube. In other words, there are different watering holes on the web, and if you want to attract more visitors, you'll need to find those gathering places online and contribute.

If you're worried that a free service such as Rejaw might be here today, gone when the funding dries up, then don't spend too much time posting material that you spent too much time creating. Try posting things you have already created. For example, share a YouTube video that you uploaded several months ago.

Chances are, the people in Rejaw have not yet seen that video of yours. And now that they'll get to see your vid in Rejaw, they might find it interesting enough for them to go and check out your blog (the one you featured in your Profile). And that's how you attract more traffic to your site.

Another nice thing about Rejaw is that people (even those who haven't signed up) can post a reply to your "shout." In Twitter and Plurk, for example, other commenters need to sign-in first. In addition, since Rejaw allows you to post images, MP3s, and even FLV videos, other people can now post multimedia comments in reaction to what you write.

Just don't expect to embed your own FLV video player, though. Even with the generous 1000 characters per shout, you will be unable to type in your desired anchor text link. All web URLs posted will be shown starting with the familiar http:// (in order words, no clickable keyword phrases, my SEO friends).

Go ahead, try leaving a Rejaw comment at http://rejaw.com/manuelviloria/shout/bNRkugQNfhS

People who are able to attract loads of search engine traffic usually give this advice: Write articles and get lots of backlinks. One way of getting backlinks is to post unique/original articles in Qassia, because those pages will provide a one-way quality link that points to your site (or to any site you choose).

Is this something worth trying out? Or is it just an utter waste of time?

If you're willing to write around 15 articles, and if posting articles to your usual web properties (i.e. your blogs, forums you visit, article directories) hasn't been bringing in new traffic lately, then go ahead and try Qassia.

Here's an example of what your page will look like: http://manuelviloria.qassia.com

Here's how to succeed with Qassia

1. Think of a which of your sites you want to promote via Qassia backlinks.

2. Group those sites into certain themes.

3. Write new articles (for Qassia) that tie-up with the theme of your sites.

4. Post those article in Qassia.

5. Monitor your incoming traffic and see how many visits you get from Qassia.

At the start, expect to get 1 visitor per Qassia article (or intel, as they call it) per month. As your collection of articles there grows, you will be able to experience exponential growth. There's more to just Qassia traffic and backlinks, though.

Should we enable AdSense in Qassia?

Yes, submit your Google Adsense Publisher ID, but do not include Qassia.com in your list of "allowed sites" (you can set this when you log into your AdSense account). It will also help if you create a Qassia.com URL channel in AdSense, so that you can easily monitor the traffic that your intel pages get.

The whole point of this exercise is to see if Qassia will indeed help you and your blog (or network of web sites). If you see some hope of growth, then continue producing intel articles. For better results, though, invest time in producing around 30 original articles.

For this experiment, just focus on Qassia for about 7 days. Then see what results you get.

What does focus mean? That means you'll need to resist the urge to spend too much time on new product launches, the latest internet marketing fads, or too much micro videoblogging.

I haven't gone full blast with the Qassia experiment because I'm focused on a different internet marketing test. If you have the time, though, then it will be an interesting learning experience for you as you search for what works... for you.

And once you discover what works for you, even if the success is quite small (i.e., $1 a day), then focus on that technique even more until you grow your earnings 10 times. The key lies in trying something for around 7 days. Perhaps Qassia will help you achieve your internet home business goals.

There's a companion membership subscription ($4.95 for the first 7 days, then you'll be billed $67 each month that you remain a member) which you don't have to purchase. In the monthly membership program, Steven and Tim will reveal every other affiliate marketing tactic. This will probably include even those things which they haven't, or are not doing, but which you might wish to try (assuming you have time to do those, since you'll be busy implementing the activities outlined in Commission Blueprint).

Anyway, if you want to quickly take action, then be sure to check out the sample templates such as the:

Review Page Template

Pre-Sell Page Template

Opt-In Page Template #1 and #2

From there you can easily modify and adapt those pages, to make the most out of the traffic that you generate via PPC. You can already sense the basic strategy of Commission Blueprint, right? Drive traffic via PPC to your review pages, pre-sell pages, and opt-in pages. When you follow the steps, you'll know how the creators used simple PPC campaigns and just a few sample landing pages to promote winner Clickbank products.

In other words, if you're looking for full-blown, highly-advanced Adwords or PPC systems, then Commission Blueprint is not for you.

But if you're curious about the story behind the success of these two Clickbank affiliate marketers, then check out their PDFs and videos today.

Are you a real estate professional or property consultant who's trying to use the web for your internet marketing campaigns? If you are, then you're probably doing what so many other sales consultants for house and lots or condos are doing, and you're most likely not seeing enough results.

Here's what's going on in the online world of realtors and brokers dipping their toes in the internet marketing waters, and how you can do things differently and even succeed.

Strategic Tip #1: Give Away Property Information.

Typical real estate e-marketers will give away as little information as possible. They're so afraid that if they publish on the web the info that their potential property buyer needs, their prospect will no longer get in touch with them.

They sweat when they imagine that all the hours they spent copy/pasting or typing on the web will be wasted if the buyer (or worse, some other agent) simply takes that data and goes straight to the office of the developer and buys the condo unit or house and lot package.

These new online property marketers are frightened at the thought of losing their commission.

Well, it might help to consider this: What happens if you withhold a lot of information and force the buyer to contact you via email? You will spend time responding to that email, yet there's no guarantee the person you emailed will purchase that dream townhouse or penthouse in some condo in Manila from you. There's simply no guarantee, is there?

What is certain, however, is that you spent time composing and sending that email, and in many instances you won't even get so much as a "Thank You" from the person you emailed. Does that experience sound familiar?

On the web, treat your webpages like flyers. When you do your saturation drives or flyering campaigns in malls or even subdivisions, you simply hand out a flyer, right? You make it easy for people to get the information, isn't it? So do the same on the web.

Well... it's not exactly the same. And although the methods are similar, there still are things you can do on the web that can't be done using traditional flyers or brochures.

Strategic Tip #2: Differentiate Yourself Online.

If you look at all the many real estate ads online, particularly if they refer to the same property or real estate project, you'll notice that they all look the same. Or at least extremely similar.

You'll find your typical description of the project (which looks like it was all lifted from just one corporate brochure released by the developer), a few layouts and photos of condo units here and there, plus the sales consultant's or broker's contact info.

There's hardly any differentiation. And that's why some agents who do not have a website outsell those who do. These agents rely on manning booths in malls, for example, for that face-to-face interaction with clients. Or they wait at the property site for walk-ins who sometimes turn into instant buyers.

How can you differentiate yourself as a real estate professional online? Those tactics will be released in a future Special E-Course which will answer questions such as:

What kind of real estate info to publish online

What kind of property info to withhold

How to create virtual flyering campaigns

How to publish flyers with that X-Factor

How to boost your online image

Mistakes Property E-Sales Consultants commit, and how to avoid them

...and many more!

Strategic Tip #3: Use Technology... With A Face.

You're a modern real estate professional, right? There are many tools within your reach. You can use technology to multiply yourself, although you must remember to keep things human. Too much automation can alienate your prospective clients, but the right amount of technological productivity, combined with your natural talent of connecting with people on a personal level, will help you boost your sales, meet and even exceed your quote, and catapult you into the President's Elite Circle of quota busters.

You are already witnessing an example of what Naisbitt calls "high tech, high touch" right now, aren't you? This is just a web page you're reading, yet somehow... it's not just a web page.

In the meantime, think of what you've just read, and continue working hard with your offline or real-world efforts. Yes, standing near booths, helping people tour showrooms, or withstanding those hot tents in property manning assignments is hard work. Be assured, however, that the Special E-course is coming soon, which will help you double your house and lot or condo inquiries.

Soon, you will see the secrets behind real estate, and marketing on the web.
