There's an important lesson here for affiliate marketers. We need to review the sites we promote periodically, to see if the traffic you generate for online marketers along with the benefits that traffic creates are being equitably shared by the online merchant with you, the hardworking affiliate.

One way of salvaging the situation is to make use of redirects (instead of a direct affiliate url), so that in case the affiliate program goes poof, you can easily redirect the link you promoted in the past to some kind of update page.

Another tip you can use is to go and get any ordinary paper notebook, and turn it into an affiliate marketing diary of sorts. This will help you remember which merchants have lasted for years, and which affiliate programs disappeared after less than 12 months. It helps you move ahead, and saves you time when evaluating future offers.

It looks like Opportunity.com (tagline: "Build the ultimate moneymaking online business!") is being hammered at the moment by thousands of visitors. I wonder why their Customer Support page, however, displays a a blank page?

The landing page you will see after you pay, though, handily shows a video where John Reese promotes one of the "no longer available" products of Frank Kern. It's a video hosted in Amazon S3 servers.

And yet the basic Customer Support page is blank. I mean, you can show a basic HTML form to accept inquiries from paid customers, right? Yes, the servers are being hammered to the point that a basic webpage can't be displayed. Yet the thank you video (plus product promo) can be viewed?

Anyway, let's see how things turn out. The 9pm (EST) "make the site live" target has been moved to 11pm (EST), and yes, we will be patient. We will also learn some lessons when it comes to launching products. It appears that Murphy's Law will kick in even in the case of people who have several product launches under their belt.

What else did we learn? John Reese uses video in the main page of Opportunity.com, but provides links to the various internal pages which contain the text version of the salesletter/video. This tells me that he's targeting internet broadband subscribers who prefer to consume information in video form, yet provides an alternative for those who prefer to read.

Unlike the usual ebooks, webinars allow presenter and audience to interact with one another using text, images, or even audio. In other words, to enjoy these wonderful features, you need to make sure you have the basics down pat.

1. High Speed Internet Broadband Connection. This applies both to you and your audience. If your audience goes online via a dial-up internet connection, then hosting a webinar might not be for you at this time. If you will interview guest in your webinar, they also need a good broadband subscription.

2. Essential Hardware. You (and your guests) will sound better if you make use of USB headset mics. Same thing goes for members of the audience who may wish to be heard by everyone attending the webinar. Nothing is more jarring than a blast of feedback because someone had their computer speaker switched on while they were speaking into the mic.

3. Matching Content with Webinar Service. Will you be presenting just a few static slides and spend more time just speaking? Then try the Xiosoft Presenter. You have Twitter, Plurk, Squidoo, Hubpages, Blogspot, WordPress, Qassia, Yola, Synthasite, Scribd, your own dotcom sites, videoblogs, photoblogs, membership sites, and more! You don't have to fill those sites with articles every single day. All you need to do is build a useful/relevant site, market it, and move on.

True, there will be some flagship sites that you will need to nurture and develop on at least a weekly basis, but nothing stops you from creating bite-size, self-contained, 20- to 30-page sites that will not require too much maintenance.

So if you want more cash, try creating something of value and relevance today. Keep on building. Sensibly, that is. And when the economy improves, be prepared to be rewarded for your efforts. Here's to your continued and lasting success!

So, what have we seen so far?

The ITC presents information in both text (PDF) and video format. These are in bite-size info chunks, so you can easily grasp the concepts behind these traffic-boosting tactics. In one of the initial PDF reports, you'll read where to publish online so that you can attract free organic or search engine traffic.

Imagine that... instead of paying $75 for 51 visitors, you are able to attract those people for free. The key is to find out where people congregate online, and then make yourself visible there.

The question remains: Where are the people online?

In the various tips given by the Rhodes Brothers in the Insider Traffic Club, you will know exactly where those places are. Now John and Matt have admitted that there are a lot of other people who have more extensive SEO and web traffic expertise. Yet they can still share their experiences, because these have flat out worked.

What's the lesson here? You don't need to be an uber expert in order to share your knowledge online. You, just the like Rhodes Brothers, can take what you know, share what you have actually experienced, and bundle these as downloadable infoproducts that people will buy online.

Yes, there are people out there who want to buy from you. There are thousands of eager students, or even collectors of information, who want to know what you know. And they are willing to pay anywhere from $7 to $97 for the things you know.

But you, on the other hand, are probably not selling an $899 to $2,499 monthly service. And that's where Rich Bryda with his 76,000+ followers comes in. What happens if you gain 50,000 fans in Twitter, for example, and half a percent of them avail of your service (i.e., coaching, tutorials, downloadable ebooks and MP3s) each day.

Yes, that comes out to 250 customers each day. Multiply that by the selling price of your downloadable infoproduct, and that's a pretty interesting daily revenue target, right?
