Spring Baby | Washington DC Newborn Photographer

I couldn’t wait to meet this beautiful baby as I did her parents’ maternity photos just a few months ago. We totally lucked out and had a nice warm (and humid) day for her session. Just like the rest of us, babies get nice and sleepy when they’re outside on days like that, so we took advantage and did a few shots near a pretty wooded area by their house. We had to wait for the sun to go behind a cloud to get them but it was well worth it! Baby girl slept so well for me the entire time, both inside the house and out. And really, she just couldn’t be any prettier and her parents couldn’t be anymore in love with her.

I just loved working with this sweet baby. Not only is she absolutely beautiful, but she slept like a dream for me. Her wonderful parents are just smitten with her and it was wonderful seeing the love between the three of them. It’s always such an honor capturing this special time for my clients!

I have had the absolute pleasure of getting to photograph this beautiful baby every three months, starting with her mama’s maternity session. It has been such a joy for me to get to know her and her wonderful parents throughout the year. I was always excited to see what new tricks she had learned since the last session! Not only is she an adorable baby but she is so very sweet! I’m sad that I won’t get to see her as often anymore but I’m glad to have been able to document so many special moments for her and her family. Happy Birthday sweet girl! And lastly, I couldn’t resist putting a collage of her first year in photos!

Gah, I cannot stop swooning over these photos! I’m sure the boys’ parents feel the same way when they look at their sweet babies! I mean seriously, the cuteness level here is almost too much to handle. My favorite part of the session was when we put the boys together on my beanbag and they snuggled up and feel asleep. Adorable. And I just have to add that having newborn twins has to be a ton of work, but these wonderful parents make such an amazing team! Such a perfect little family!

Kim and Lee are Married! | Fairfax, VA Wedding Photographer

I had the honor of photographing this beautiful couple’s wedding the other week and it was an absolute joy to be part of their big day! Kim and Lee are perfect for each other. They are both kind, fun, loving and they bring out the best in each other!

We started the day at the Ritz Carlton in Tyson’s Corner with shots of Kim and her two children getting ready. Then we headed over to gorgeous 2941 Restaurant in Falls Church where we met up with Lee and his son for some photos, followed by the ceremony and reception. Everything from the weather, to the food, to the music was perfect. What a wonderful way for these to love birds to start their lives together!

Wow! Just look at how beautiful this sweet baby girl is!! She was born early so she was about 6 months old by the time we were able to do her session, but she still slept like a dream for me. And check out all the beautiful knit outfits made by her grandmother! Lucky girl!

Oh my goodness, I totally fell in love with these two. They are the perfect mother and son duo. There is an easy playfulness between them as well as a very special bond that comes right through in their photos. It was a joy spending the afternoon with them and capturing some lovely moments.

This little man was not interested in sleeping during our session, but when he did nod off briefly I snapped away quickly and got some pretty darn cute photos, if I do say so myself! Of course, it helps when you have a perfect baby boy as your subject! He is just so adorable. Definitely a future heart breaker!
