Our first attempt at this photo session was a bust as it started raining as soon as we arrived at beautiful E.C. Lawrence Park. Thankfully the day we rescheduled for ended up being perfect! I absolutely adored working with this gorgeous family. Not only are they super sweet and fun, they also very clearly have a strong bond and a lot of love for each other.

This beautiful baby girl gets the award for the most smiles during a newborn photo session! I swear she was modeling for me and smiling almost on cue. And what an adorable smile she has!! She is going to melt a lot of hearts! I photographed her Mom’s maternity session so it was such a pleasure meeting this little lady and witnessing the love her parents have for her already. Such a beautiful family of three! How cool is this nursery!? Love it!

I have such beautiful clients, both inside and out. I absolutely loved meeting this wonderful family. The little ones are just 2 and 3 years old which is a somewhat challenging age to photograph, but I actually love sessions with toddlers. They are spontaneous, fun and very sweet. These two kept me on my toes but I loved every minute of our session and all the fun images we got.

My clients suggested that we meet at the Maryland side of Great Falls Park for our photos and I was a little nervous because I had never been there before. Well, I totally fell in love with the location and have since taken my whole family there. What an amazing local gem and what a perfect place to capture these images of a beautiful family anxiously awaiting the birth of their second child. It’s no secret that I absolutely love maternity sessions, but somehow they are even more special when there are older siblings involved. This adorable little guy is going to make the best big brother!! I can’t wait to meet baby sister any day now for her photos!

I have been so lucky with a streak of very sleepy babies recently. (Knock on wood!) This lovely baby girl slept so nicely throughout her session and to top it off she is absolutely beautiful! Can I just say that it’s so fun dressing these precious little ones up for their photos?! Love it. And she didn’t complain at all so I think she might have a future in modeling. Think there are some Bulls fans in this family?

Every time I look at these photos I smile. Between the viking hat, the dinosaur hat, and the sweet sleepy smiles this guy kept giving us I was loving every minute of this session! This baby boy is just beyond adorable and he also happens to have two of the nicest parents around. This is why I have the best job.

I figured that since I just photographed this couple’s newborn baby yesterday that maybe I should blog their maternity session! Lol. As you can guess by looking at them, they of course had a gorgeous baby! More from her soon…but can I just say how much I love this maternity session?! Wow! We had such a lovely afternoon and these two are not only beautiful but also sweet, fun and very much in love. Maternity sessions are so special and I am always thankful that couples ask me to photograph this brief but amazing time for them.

This beautiful baby girl might just be the sleepiest newborn I have ever photographed! I don’t think she opened her eyes once in the 3 hours I was with her. She really couldn’t have cared less that I was there. Lol. I so enjoyed photographing not just her but also her older brother who is so smart and charming. I think he knows more state capitals than I do…and he’s 4! This was such a relaxed, fun session and I just love the resulting images!

Not to sound redundant, but I just can’t get over how gorgeous my maternity clients are! We shot this session in Old Town Alexandria and the combination of my beautiful clients and the lovely spring day was just perfect. I love how relaxed and fun these two are together. I can already tell they are going to be amazing parents and I can’t wait to photograph their baby girl when she makes her arrival in a few weeks!

I couldn’t wait to meet this beautiful baby as I did her parents’ maternity photos just a few months ago. We totally lucked out and had a nice warm (and humid) day for her session. Just like the rest of us, babies get nice and sleepy when they’re outside on days like that, so we took advantage and did a few shots near a pretty wooded area by their house. We had to wait for the sun to go behind a cloud to get them but it was well worth it! Baby girl slept so well for me the entire time, both inside the house and out. And really, she just couldn’t be any prettier and her parents couldn’t be anymore in love with her.
