If you don’t have what to do with your socks and of course your socks don’t stink you can give them to Natta Amir and she could turn them into any object you desire.

Well in fact I don’t know if Natta accepts requests but it’s true she has a real talent in working with textiles.
The camera below is a replica of a Canon G1 made out of socks (clean socks).

Into The Sea

I was born in a city near the Danube river, then at the age of 16 I moved in a bigger city at the shore of the Black Sea. Eight years ago I moved far away from the sea and I miss it.

This year I had the chance to go see the Mediterranean sea and I couldn’t leave away from the shore. I love the smell of the sea, the sand, the air, the waves, the noise.

I took this photo in Spain on 4 January 2009. I was there with couple of my friends to celebrate the New Year.

Here we were on our way to Oropesa de Mar and I couldn’t resist getting out of the car to take some photos.

Create Your Own Image Stabilizer For $1

This is one of those ideas I couldn’t have not in 1million years from now.

This is a very simple method of creating a tripod for your camera.

To be honest I haven’t yet tried it out so I do not know if it works 100% but that’s for sure that it helps when the lens doesn’t have an image stabilizer or vibration reduction.

Take a look and if you try out this method let me know about the result.

John Downer created an wonderful experiment. He attached cameras on four elephants and let them walk free into the jungle.

The purpose of the experiment was to obtain photos from the wild jungle that not even with the most powerful telescope lens he couldn’t obtain.

As you’ll see some of the creatures look very funny like they are really giving us a smile. My favorite photo is the one with the leopards that were caught while they were playing. Look at the big leopard, how he stopped and looked at the elephant who carried the camera as if he was caught doing something bad.

The high-definition cameras were created by inventor Geoff Bell for a documentary in the remote Pench National Park in Madhya Pradesh in the heart of India.

Shutter In Theaters Today

I usual don’t write about movies, but this one captured my attention. First the name ‘Shutter‘ told me that something has to do with photography. Well the idea of the movie is a creepy one but it is about photography.

A newlywed couple Ben and Jane move to Japan for a promising job opportunity - a fashion shoot in Tokyo. During their trip on a dark forest road they experience a tragic car accident, leading to the death of a young local girl. Upon regaining consciousness, they find no trace of her body. A bit distraught the couple arrives in Tokyo to begin their new life. Meanwhile Ben begins noticing strange white blurs in many of his fashion shoot photographs. Jane believes that the blurs are actually spirit photography of the dead girl who they hit on the road, and that she may be seeking vengeance.

I would have believe in these kind of things 15 years ago when I was into creepy and weird things. Now I think they pus the limit too far with another movie after Grunge and The ring.

I just hope people won’t rush to buy digital cameras just to try catch the glimpse of a spirit that lives in their home. Please tell me you won’t do that!!

Here are some new photos of cool objects hand made from linens, wool, mohair wool, cotton, vintage fabrics, tweed and lot of other things.
The idea of recreating objects and animals that surround us is not a new one but the result of the creation is something worth to take a look at.
