Hurricane Irene might have dampened the ground, but it didn’t rain on Heather and Chris’s parade. Minus some event changes, like moving the outdoor wedding reception indoors, the party went on without a hitch. And as luck would have it, it ended up being such a beautiful day!

Alright, so I might be a bit biased, since this is my “baby” brother’s (ignore the fact that he’s taller than me) band and all…but they are pretty kick-ass and seeing that they have over 600 facebook fans, I’m obviously not the only one who thinks so. Shotgun No Blitz is a pop punk band and if you got a minute, you should download their FREE EP (warning: there are some explicit lyrics). Seriously. Check ‘em out.

The weekend Hurricane Irene hit the East Coast, I had not one, but TWO weddings. Wouldn’t you know, it ended up being such a beautiful weekend. Well, minus some knocked down trees and branches.

I actually met the groom,Nick, YEARS ago. Long, long ago we used to work together at a lil’ place called HersheyPark. For those of you that aren’t from around these parts, it’s an amusement park  based off of Hershey’s Chocolate. Seriously. In our college years, Nick was one of my besties. But then life got in the way and we kind of lost track of each other. During that time, he met the gorgeous Jessica. And they really are perfect for each other. He’s such a jokester and she loves to laugh, you can’t get any better than that.

To be fair, I always have a great time while photographing my weddings, but this by far has been one of the best. Everyone truly had a great time and to see Jessica and Nick interact with each other…you can tell they really do love each other. I hope the photos do them justice.

It was a super hot day in chocolate town, with NKOTB & BSB concert traffic starting to flow through Hershey. But Syndi and Ryan are troopers and bared with me as we did a quickie shoot today. Syndi is due in less than two weeks and looks A.MAZ.ING!! She’s a certified Zumba instructor and was leading classes up until recently. Her and Ryan also went to said concert that night…at nine months preggers! She really does put all of us to shame! ha. A few teasers…

After Trisha’s lil’ shoot, the newlyweds, Angel and Laurie meet up with us. Laurie has such a great spirit! She’s just one of those gals that everyone loves. Angel is a very lucky guy (I’m sure Laurie is super lucky too!).

Brave Laurie, got into the BROWN/GREEN Jersey water (and I went in right after her). I really wish I would have taken a photo of her wedding dress after our swimming adventure. Her dress was covered in green…moss? mold?…whatever is in that water. And our outtakes were pretty funny! Maybe, if you’re lucky, I’ll post a few.

Totally worth it though…

First up from our Jersey beach fun shoot was Trisha. While we waited for Laurie and Angel to get ready, Trisha and I hit the beach for a few photos. What I love most about Trisha is how she just does these natural “model type” poses. She really didn’t need any guidance from me.

I am sooo gangsta.

These two gals are two of three roomies I had when I was going to photo school. I love these girls! No matter what, we try to stay updated in each other’s lives. Last May, Laurie (the middle gal, with the wedding dress), got married. A few months later Trisha (gal in the bikini) and I visited Laurie…at the beach. Jersey beach, that is. They humored me and we had an evening of photo fun.

Except for the super cool days, fall is one of my favorite seasons (right after spring). All the beautiful colors and the great lighting make for awesome photos. This is probably one of the last weekends in our area for awesome fall colors; in a week or so everything will be brown. I met Ashley, Andrew and their family at Founder’s Hall in Hershey for a fall family shoot.

How cute are the boys?! I bet they can be a handful!

 Megan and Tim are getting married in 40-something odd days. Sooo close!
We did a “quick” shoot at Shank Park in Hershey for their upcoming nuptials. It’s really amazing how such a a great lil’ park has sooo many great photography spots! And of course, a great looking couple makes photographing there just that much better.

Here (below) is the same photo in color and in black and white. It’s amazing how you get a different feel from the same photo.
