2009/07/17 - Thursday and Friday 7amTrip Reports

Thursday 7/16

Capt. Tony took the boat toady and put a nice catch of Sea Bass

together for a light crowd on a partly rainy day.&nbsp; He stayed around the

New Jersey shore most of the day, bouncing from spot to spot.

Friday&nbsp; 7/17

We started off to the East this morning because the conditions where

good for Ling fishing.&nbsp; We bagged up on the tasty fish by 12 noon and took

&nbsp;a ride over to the New Jersey side to try for some Sea Bass.&nbsp; We drifted

&nbsp;a few pieces and caught a nice mix off keeper Bass &amp; Fluke and even some

Flounder and Blackfish that were released.

The hot July Striped Bass run continues to be strong.&nbsp; Some real cows

Tuesday&nbsp; 7/14

We started the day with some Sea Bass fishing and had mixed

results.&nbsp; A couple drops where hot and others where cold.&nbsp; We finished

&nbsp;upi the afternoon with super Ling fishing and everyone had a nice bunch

of fish to take home. Little Mario was treated to a new custom rod for his B-Day

&nbsp;by Grandpa Dave and he broke it in nicely today with Bass and Ling.

Wed.&nbsp; 7/15

Again we started off the day Sea Bass fishing and they cooperated better today

&nbsp;so we stuck with it for most of the day.&nbsp; We did make a stop on the way in for Ling

and again it was great fishing.&nbsp; In a matter of 30 minutes everyone topped off

there buckets with the tasty critters.&nbsp; Between the Bass and Ling all buckets where

full by the days end.&nbsp; We even noticed a good showing of fluke today with a couple

&nbsp;keepers in the mix.

Monday&nbsp; 7/13/09

We enjoyed a nice day of Ling fishing, as they seemed to be

the most cooperative species today.&nbsp; We tried a few spots on the way

out and in and caught a few nice Porgies and Bass but not enough to stay

with.&nbsp; Ling fishing&nbsp; was the definitely&nbsp; the way to go today.&nbsp; Justyna,&nbsp; Amanda

&nbsp;and Dad&nbsp; filled nearly 5 buckets of fish between them and the pool Ling

&nbsp;wieghed 5 pounds !

Our friends from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation

stopped by the pier&nbsp; this afternoon to remind us of the size and bag limits

for the fish we target.&nbsp; Please be sure&nbsp; to measure your fish and&nbsp; ask our

professional crew if&nbsp; your catch is legal to keep.&nbsp;&nbsp;<div class="feedflare">

2009/07/12 - Night Striped Bass, Weakfish & Vampire Fluke ?

Our 7 PM night&nbsp; trips continue to produce well.&nbsp; The last few

night trips have had 45 to 70 Stripers with a few large (vampire)Fluke

and a couple BIG Weakfish ans some Blues mixed in each trip.

&nbsp;

Saturday nights trip was slow but we blame that on the very strong

Southerly wind last night that made it tough to fish anywhere.<div class="feedflare">

&nbsp;with a mix of some Sea Bass but mostly Ling making up the

catch.&nbsp;

Today (Sunday) Capt. Tony had a much better report,&nbsp; he

&nbsp;that he stayed with for the day.<div class="feedflare">

Tuesday 7/7/09

We fished for Sea Bass off the New Jersey Shore most of the day today.
The fishing was a little picky but we put a catch of Sea Bass together
before we headed to the Ling grounds. We spent the last hour of the
&nbsp;day Ling fishing &amp; it wasn't bad.

Wednesday 7/8/09

Today, we spent the day fishing for Ling and it was excellent.&nbsp; Everyone
on board caught at least a bucket full or more of tasty Ling.&nbsp; There were
a few nice Sea Bass caught, but we stuck with Ling fishing most of the day.<div class="feedflare">

The Sea Bass didn't cooperate very well today.&nbsp; We spent most of

&nbsp;the day on the hunt for some Bass but only a couple of drops produced .

&nbsp; We finished the day&nbsp; with a couple of Ling drops and that worked out

good.&nbsp; Everyone threw a bunch of Ling in there buckets combine with a

few Sea Bass and ended up with a bag of fillet to take home.<div class="feedflare">
