It has drawn people from all parts of the country.

White roads have been constructed with glittering lights on both sides. There are several Gardens, Parks, museums and libraries in Karachi.

Nabeez drink is a natural beverage named after the name of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who used to drink in his time. Today, this drink is consumed in Arabic states and countries. It is prepared from the dates or raisins to hydrate the body during scorching heat. It is also sunnah to follow what was our Nabi's path.

Despite its health benefits, it also heals our soul and body. Let's have a look at the method by which we can prepare it for ourselves but before this, I would mention here the ingredients used to prepare Nabeez drink.

INGREDIENTS:

3-5 Pitted Dates or Raisins
10 Oz Water
Pink Salt (Pinch)
Aab-E-Zam Zam (Zam Zam Water splash) if available

INSTRUCTIONS TO PREPARE THE NABEEZ DRINK:

First of all, wash the dates if you brought them from the market.
You should pick a bowl in which you could pit the dates to make them appear pitted. Once they become pitted then they are ready for the next step.
Now, put all the pitted dates in a jug.
Fill the jug with water and Zam Zam if you have it.
Soak the dates in water for 12 hours a room temperature otherwise refrigerates it.
After 12 hours, the drink is ready to be served.
Once drunk, pitted dates can be again used for the second round in the same jug.

Please note that you should not leave pitted dates for more than 12 hours because the drink starts to ferment and starts its conversion into alcohol which is Haram. So, you should drink it within the prescribed time, do not store it for longer but consume it within 12 hours only.

The semiconductor materials have also been rare for companies to mine, as they are the main component of Solar cells, prices of Solar panels have been raised up to 40% due to low supply. Europe is facing power outages and high electricity costs. Europe is struggling to make electricity affordable for every citizen, but the double electricity billing suggests that it is hard for them to cope with expensive fuel shortages. In this article, we will discuss golden ways how to save energy at home and how we can conserve energy to save on electric bills.

So, it is still a question that how can we save energy? How can we save energy in our daily life? Don’t worry, just follow our Golden Rules to Save Electricity and lower your electric bill.

Pakistani people celebrate Pakistan Independence Day as a national holiday with great enthusiasm as on 14th August, Pakistan came into being as an independent state in 1947 after the partition of British India. The celebration highlights the political and economic struggle of Muslims of the Indian subcontinent at that time and honours national heroes that took part in the evolution and making. Pakistan's independence celebration concludes with several events, game shows, circus, military expos, brand sales, songs and poetry (Milli Nagham) competitions and welfare work. There are different ways to celebrate but we will suggest positive 14 August Celebration Ideas.

While looking into history, when World War 2 was on end and the British government was suffering from several crises after the war, then newly elected British Prime Minister Clement Attlee announced to leave British India before on June 1947. Soon after that, Lord Mountbatten met with several political leaders of that time to make both Hindu and Muslim political parties agree according to the Indian Independence Act of 1947 passed in the British parliament. Sir Mountbatten decided to announce the independence of the Muslim majority area, namely, Pakistan on 14 August and 15 August for India as he wanted to attend the power transfer ceremonies in both the independent states.

In the past 75 years, Pakistan has gone through tough and war-torn situations. Since its birth, the state had faced injustice in the distribution of the industrial zones/assets. All the assets that came under the ownership of Pakistan were obsolete, rotten and economically ill to support the country’s development. However, the founder of Pakistan, namely, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah kept motivating and fighting his disease of Tuberculosis for the sake of Pakistan. The state has passed through the tough times of war and terrorism. Despite the instability in politics and military power, Pakistanis have proved that they are a distinct nation in their nature as they are self-sufficient in surviving the worst periods of the world.

We (Pakistanis) spend thousands of rupees on fashionable items, Pakistan Independence Day cards, garments/wears and decorations of our buildings, offices and homes with national flags. Currently, the 14th August event has now become the most profitable business as bulks of cotton rolls, plastic polymer and non-biodegradable materials are used in the manufacturing of items to meet the demands of the people. Unfortunately, once the Pakistan Independence Day date passed, all the hoisted flags came down and some of them were worn out of their supports while falling to the floors and tops. And I think this is unethical and disrespectful for us and what’s the impact we wanna make after doing all these things? More than this, I have never seen any international news channel airing the Independence Day celebration in Pakistan. It’s a shame for us to have our children all watching this behaviour of the flag that was hoisted proudly but lost its value just after a day.

I have also seen that shopkeepers who sell out greeting cards, kid’s garments, bands, stickers, face painting ware and perishable items are used to steal the electricity to run their power backups and sound systems. Not only this, but they also encroach on city streets and main roads without any permission. Hence, a forced encroachment led the native citizens to face the warm traffic. I don’t wanna go deep but the sole purpose of my Pakistan independence blog is to introduce my audience to the positive practices and ways that can make their identity in the community look bold and a symbol of true patriotism.

What about achieving and working on the SDGs set by the United Nations? Sure, we are talking about the UN’s sustainable development goals that are required by every nation to achieve their full working capacity. Do you know that Pakistan is at the top of the list of countries highly affected by global warming or climate change and is soon to face a water crisis? Are we ready to cope with the disaster that will erode the natural habitat? Last year, the City of Sindh, KARACHI went through the record-breaking shocking heat waves that caused the deaths of thousands of citizens due to unsuitable temperatures in their environment. Administration and NGOs alone can’t make an effect in mass but being in a national community can combat our problems.

Cleaning your street and belongings can be a good idea to celebrate your day. Taking out all the trash, sand and dust from the footpaths of your colony can give it a new look.

Taking part in cleaning the hospitals is also a great way to show patriotism and own your institutions and people who work day and night to save the lives of thousands of people who don’t take any leaves during these special days.

Now No More Traveling in Local Buses

We as students go through the tough environments of life and for us, travelling in the local buses run by the private transporters is the worst part of our daily lives. Not only for students but for the professionals too. In Pakistan, obsolete and outdated long vehicles are still in use today regardless of the high fuel consumption and low passenger safety care.

I have personally experienced travelling in the local buses in the Hyderabad City of Sindh. The buses are almost the same that run on the roads of Karachi as “W11” (Dubblew Giyarah). Most of the buses have the traditional Pakistani truck art and are decorated with LED lights, nano pieces of glass, steel, and wood. The white star and the crescent moon are the main component in the Pakistani truck art predicting its origin. The display of birds and animal horns is also seen on the hoods of a few buses.

The addition of the stylish visuals, colourful paintings on the body, portraits of national heroes, full engraved bold quotations and poetry in the provincial language further highlights the culture of the Pakistani people. All the components and handwork on the body of the truck are done by the special body makers who put in day and night to show their creativity and talent. Additionally, some of the buses are very high-tech that include an infotainment system too. These buses are the source of attraction for all of us and, tourists, but I love those.

In the same place, the trucks are outdated in a way that, they consume a lot of diesel as fuel and have very high maintenance costs as compared to the next generation buses. The old coaches are not much safe because of the poor maintenance and unlicensed drivers. That’s why Pakistan faces more accidents on its roads due to the unsafe provision of long vehicles to untrained drivers. Most of the buses leave oil spills and smoke fumes inside the cabin that passengers suffer while breathing. As far as I know, the smoky fumes are hot blows that a person who is allergic to or has asthma may not bear it.

It's dirty to have the blows of black and white smoke on our faces. Motorcyclists suffer the most who don’t wear helmets and if they wear them, they face suffocation while driving. As far as I know, most motorcyclists have acne problems and other skin issues. The global warming and scorching heat of the sun in the major cities of Pakistan have forced us to retire those old machines and bring up environmentally friendly vehicles that are not only cost-effective but will also save us from the global heat issue.

Besides the several efforts put forward by the public and the government, the rotting economy of the country resisted the government to take severe measures to tackle the transportation problem and cope with the pollution produced by those scrap engines. Now, the ban of the old buses in Karachi is no more a rumour as the Sindh transport department has announced to ban ancient buses in Karachi after the completion of mass transit projects.

A mass transit system (MTS) is an intelligent system that helps to reduce the growing congestion between the routes and provides a smooth flow of human traffic. After the successful completion and business operation of the Green Line BRT bus service in Karachi. Sindh government has also announced to spread the same service in Hyderabad City.

I visited Karachi’s Greenline BRT via an academic visit to the BRT's Operational Command and Control Center at Garden West, Karachi. The 24 billion rupees bus rapid transit system is owned and operated by Karachi Breeze. The 26 km (16.2 miles) busway is the first phase of the Karachi Metrobus network and has 22 stations (a station after every km). Currently, Green Line has 80 buses in its fleet operated by Daewoo express which is the leading business group in transport management. Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Green Line Bus Rapid Transit project. Limited operations began on 25 December 2021. Although, business seems to be rapidly growing with a big boom. And I think that this is the time when the administration must understand the needs of its people and propose more high-tech plans for the future of the cities.

BRT’s Zhongtong buses have smart specifications and intelligent based systems that relate to Telecom and data centres for efficient management. The telecommunication services have made possible the proper “The Energy Management System” in which system keeps a record of the passenger's timely arrival, and electricity costs. The database helps transport officers to change the frequency of the buses during peak hours.

This Chinese Metrobus offer a comfortable and healthy environment through the disinfection system fitted on the backside of each bus. It has excellent Air conditioning systems, mobile charging ports, maintenance services, POS machines and Wi-Fi networks for the public. Moreover, the bus is a Hybrid vehicle that saves fuel costs by consuming diesel and charges batteries for use simultaneously. Buses can give them mileage of 3+ KM per litre of diesel. That was what we observed while travelling on those buses.

Recently, the Information Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the provincial government has put forward its final decision to ban local buses in the cities of Sindh to the representative associations of the operators of public transport services. He also said that work on the Orange Line BRT project is almost completed, and the project would be launched by the end of June of 2022. And we also hope that it would be opened to the public very soon.

The Government of Pakistan has banned the import of luxury items in the country and has released a list of imported items that would be seized before entering the country. The list of the banned items in Pakistan is alarming for the elites. The Pakistan Government has taken a serious step as an emergency due to the rising inflation rate and the instability in the economy.

The ban on luxury items in Pakistan came into effect just after the formation of the new government in Pakistan which took serious measures to secure the foreign reserves of the state. The newly formed government blames Prime Minister Imran Khan of PTI for the bad economic policies that lead the country to an economic disaster. But it is still unclear what is the main reason behind the rising economic instability.

According to the senior economists, the main reason that the state is the war between Russia and Ukraine. The war between the two countries has created immense instability in the region whether it is in terms of economy or peace. Ukraine has extensive reserves of Silicone or Silica, Platinum, Gold, Iron, Lithium, and other heavy minerals which are exported to the countries like China for the production of Solar Panels, GPUs, CPUs, Silicone Chips or Integrated circuits, Lithium-Ion Batteries, Mobile Phones, Armor vehicles, auto vehicles, heavy machinery and other equipment’s.

Of course, the bad economic planning and ban on the usage o chemical fertilizers resulted in the decrease in tea production and other Agri based products that were major exports of Sri Lanka. Corona's Pandemic in 2019 also damaged the tourism industry of Sri Lanka. Today, Sri Lanka is facing its worst times ever in its history and the falling government is seeking foreign aid to run the country. Currently, Sri Lanka has a budget deficit of $54 billion.

Pakistan is not alone in the affected countries due to the war, but the country is willing to seek aid from international funding agencies like IMF so that it could relieve its mob from the high inflation. Several talks are being held with the gulf states for the provision of the special relief package and other subsidies for foreign investments in the country. As far as the dollar is concerned, the rupee has weakened monthly with high curves. Today, the rate of the US dollar is equal to 202.32 Pakistani rupees.

The one who forgives is considered a hearty and strong person. May Allah forgive us and provide us with the characteristic quality of forgiving others for their mistakes. Ameen.
Lying: Prevents people from trusting you. Telling the truth is the most challenging, the one who speaks truth is as brave as a lion. From childhood, we are told to tell the truth and unfortunately, we don’t follow the universal law. Parents often beat and try to be strict in this matter but are failed to convey to children to be wise. Speaking truth is the characteristic of a wise and honest man, the one who speaks the truth, he is respected and appreciated. Lying with someone would work for an instant but it is not reliable because, after some time, the lie gets unfolded and develops further complexities, conspiracies and doubts.
Pride: Prevents you from seeing and learning from your mistakes. It’s okay if you are good at something but feeling and expressing your pride is not the way to treat yourself. Of course, your achievement meant a lot but it doesn’t mean that you are the best for al the time. It is better to master the skill and look for the learning segments that may further enhance your profession.

Sultan Dodo Soomro - The Legendary Hero of Sindh

The history of Sindh is filled with the heroic tales of its brave warriors, rulers, and kings. Sindh is the only region around the world that is known for different historic events that occurred and brought colours to the local people. The Indus civilization is indeed the most advanced example that highlights the living standards of the people in that old era. An archaeological site near Larkana “Moen Jo Daro” is a small town that was discovered earlier in the 1900s which depicts that Sindh had not only a rich culture but also the simplest art of engineering to resolve basic life problems such as modern canals, baths, and grooves. In the past, Sindh has been the centre of several wars which brought life-saving lessons to its people. Among all kings, the story of Dodo Soomro is also famous among the Sindhi people due to his heroic sacrifice.

Sindh is known as the Gate of Islam. In 711AD under Umayyads Dynasty, Spain was invaded by Tariq Bin Ziyad. And In 712AD, an Arabian ship carrying valuable items along with passengers including men, women and children was kidnapped in the warm seas of Sindh. The Umayyad ruler Hajjaj Bin Yousuf then sent a letter to the Hindu ruler of Sindh Raja Dahir requesting for investigation of the incident. Upon Raja Dahir’s unsatisfactory responses, Hajjaj Bin Yousuf sent his nephew Muhammad Bin Qasim to conquer Sindh.

The invasion came into being in 714AD while ending the Hindu rule and creating an Islamic state of Sindh. Until 850AD, the state remained under the control of the Arab ruler (Ummayads Dynasty) and it falls again under the control of local Rajputs known as “Sodha Rajputs”. After 850AD, royal Sodha Rajputs ruled Sindh until 1013AD when one of its King accepted Islam and converted to become a Muslim. Upon his conversion, his number of warriors and people of his whole tribe also converted and accepted Islam to practice the true religion sent by Allah. From that period, the King started to call himself “Soomra Rajput” to differentiate himself and his tribe from Hindus soon after the acceptance of Islam. Thus, the period from 1013-to 1326 is considered the Golden years of Sindh under the “Soomro Dynasty” Although, the “Soomro Dynasty” is the only longest-ruling Sindhi Muslim dynasty of Sindh.

The first Dodo had two wives: one a blacksmith’s daughter and the other a Rajput woman. The first wife gave a daughter and a son called Bhagi and Chanesar Soomro respectively. When Dodo Soomro fell in battle with his enemies, his wife was pregnant when the child was born named “Bhongar". Next after him, his son was given the name Dodo Soomro II as his father (Dodo I) died during the battle.

Upon the death of Bhongar, the chieftains gathered to decide who should wear the crown and lead them. Since Bhagi and Chanesar were of so-called low birth, the lot fell in favour of Dodo. But it is also said that in a meeting, Chanesar Soomro was chosen to rule the caliphate. Once Chanesar was chosen then he ran to his mother to ask whether he should rule or not. The sardars or the ministers fell in doubt and lack of confidence in Chanesar upon his act. The chiefs started to talk about how a person that involves and asks everything from her mother can lead a Sindhi Empire that is spread over a large area. However, the courtier reverts their decision and made Dodo II as next King of the Soomro Dynasty. While Bhagi contrived to get a resignation from Dodo II when she saw her brother Chanesar being deprived. On the other hand, courtiers wanted to appoint a high-born Rajput ruler and opposed Chanesar. In the end, the will of the majority prevailed over Chanesar Soomro and her sister.

When Dodo II was announced as the new king, Chanesar immediately left the Sindh and went to the Sultan of Delhi (Sultan Alauddin Khalji) complaining about his de-crowning. The Chanesar asked for help from Sultan and expressed his wish to engage her beautiful sister Bhagi with Sultan. The Sultan agreed and sent his Turkish army with Chanesar via the Thar desert. At Virawah, the Turks were confronted by the Rajputs under Dodo Soomro and his army general Nangar. When the Turks arrived on the battleground, then they demanded Bhagi from Dodo Soomro for the marital purpose.

Soomras proved that they were men enough to defend the honour of not just their princess, but of every common people, and then incensed Sindhis drew into the battle lines. The conflict remained tough and hard for both forces, but after many missions, a worthy man was cut down on both sides; the brave Nangar went down in desperate combat. The Rajputs withdrew to Vighekot where Dodo Soomro II made his second stand. But he died after several attacks from his opponents while fighting bravely for the sake of his nation and sacrificed his life during the battle with the largely outnumbered army of the Sultan. Not only the Soomros but other Sindhi tribes were sad upon the death (Shahadat) of Dodo that they called him the hero of the nation.

When Dodo died, his dead body was mistreated and kicked off by the Turkish army sent by Alauddin Khalji. The Chanesars' inner Muslim woke up and felt anger; he then tried to stop Turkish forces not to hurting the body of his dead brother. Unfortunately, the Turks didn’t stop kept asking for Bhagi such that Turks killed Chanesar also upon his denial.

The royal historian and poet, namely, Bhago Bhan left the lost battle to gather the royal women and take them to the fort of Abro Jam. Whereas in Rajput fashion, he deposits them as saam. This meant that the Abros would defend their guests even to the last drop of their blood. As the Turks went against the Abros, another battle took place between the two armies. When defeat seemed imminent, the Abros committed Johar: they set alight their fort with the women and children inside and rode out to battle knowing there was no withdrawal that day.

In the South of Badin (Sindh), in the heart of the Great Rann of Kutch, there is a place known as Rupa Mari (Palace of Rupa). Where in the empty spaces sits a lowered cone-shaped mound of clay and grave under a timber canopy. The land with pottery shards reminds us of a forgotten town. There the ruins are named after the queen of Bhongar, the second of the Soomra kings of Sindh, who built this town. The grave is that of their grandson, Dodo Soomro II. Along with the shrine, his brother Chanesars' grave is also situated near the tomb.

In the end, that is the romance of Dodo and Chanesar as passed down through the generations. While history tells a slightly different tale. May Allah, bless Dodo Soomro the highest place in Jannah, who came forward to be known as the real son of Sindh. We have learnt that misunderstanding between the family members can be a big problem not only for the Dynasty but for the whole nation as well, leading to the fall of the Empire. We should be brave enough to fight against evil and do everything for the sake of national safety. Living without love and patience can be harmful, and once a thing goes wrong that can’t be undone. A pre-treatment and dialogue are always a solution to every issue.
