Dock Dogs at Discovery Green

The DockDogs brought the show to Discovery Green back in July and it was a great time. We only caught the 11:30am competition, but that was enough to convince the kids that they wanted a dog that could leap like these... and convince me that these competitions offered some great photo ops...

I had some time to kill while in Anchorage the other day. I hit up downtown to take a look around, but the weather wasn't cooperating with me and my intent to take some photographs. So, while having lunch I thumbed through some of the travel brochures and found the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum. I headed on over to check it out...

I've already admitted it... I have this thing for maps. So it will be of no surprise that I really think that a lot of "entities" are completely missing out on some great opportunities by not using them.

Missed Opportunity - Mapping the Best Business Bars

Entrepreneur Magazine has an interesting article on what are the best bars to do business in. The news release reads... "In a publishing first, Entrepreneur magazine, in collaboration with Esquire magazine, reveals America's best bars for business. The list and the accompanying stories appearing in the July issue of Entrepreneur magazine cover the ins and outs of the top 15 bars and the etiquette for getting the deal done."

It may be a publishing first... but it misses out on another great opportunity to engage users in a simple, yet powerful way.

krpano Hits 1.0.8.10 and Loses Beta

When Klaus puts out any new incremental release for krpano it usually is met with cheers and amazement. The most recent release is no exception. The two key items... krpano drops the Beta tag (with updated official documentation coming soon) and support for showing your panos on Apple's iphone and ipad. This opens the door for some interesting developments for panographers...
