You not going to put your life on hold as you do calculations on how God is going to give you a husband, when He is going to give you a husband, or wonder if He even intends to give you a husband. You must soberly determine what is beneficial for you to do between now and 'I DO'.

This is because biological clock has been blamed for making women settle for a Mr. Right Now instead of waiting a little bit longer for the Mr. Right. With so much fear that they may not be able to 'compete' with younger looking women, some make themselves so cheap and act desperately and clingy, and in so doing they make the men in their lives flee for dear life. The rush to be in a relationship, just to have someone in your life does not allow room for the establishment of the key ingredients of a healthy relationship, the love of self first. You would need to invest love in yourself first when you are looking for someone to love you. However, as you begin to grow you will come to understand that the very key to having more love in your life. is to demonstrate to yourself that you are loveable. You do this through self-mastery, self-care, and self-love.
The more we practice self-mastery the more we can look deep within and find the things our mirrors (relationships) show us about ourselves through the broken and troubled relationships we have had. We begin to fix our issues and settle the trauma and drama that is going on within. Once we come to a place where we are fully engaged in loving ourselves we are then ready to let go of our egos and allow love to naturally be a part of our experience.
Moving out of desperation for love is imperative to true harmonious relationships. Both parties are engaged in relationship because they are comfortable in their own skin and bring to the table healthy, thinking and contemplative models that are prepared to do the necessary self-work that brings about the full beauty of the relationship.
Stop being desperate for love. Desperate for a man or desperate for a woman. Sit still and realize that desperation does not bring about the perfect relationship. It brings you more pain and suffering as you complicate your life with a new experience that results in a painful ending for you to sort through another lesson.

This mashada is morphing into an unrecognizable entity every few months. It looks like a bat, mara it looks like a bird, it has no identity. Is it a news site? Do you want to put news that people can access via other blog sites or newspaper sites? (which renders mashada irrelevant) example being the story of youth heckling Uhuru in Migori. It can be found on the Daily Nation website. Or do you want this to be a site where people can give their views?? If the latter, then why do you hide forums and amplify news (already found on other websites?)

Why cant you just put the layout that was there in December 2007? There was a time viewership hit 150,000 views per day! That is how popular mashada was. The layout was simple, the topics were easy to track and respond to.

It really is sad to see this going down the drain. I dont know who advises you but very soon this place is going to be a desert.

It is not a curse to be single. It is not wrong to fantasize about being married just like your friends. What is wrong is to spend your life being miserable or to put your life on hold, wasting God given precious moments simply because you feel like your shelf life is over or almost over and no man/woman seems interested in you.
You should therefore purpose to make the most of the season of singlehood because there are some things you can only be able to do when you are single, and there are some adventurous trips you can only make when you are single. With marriage and family come more responsibilities and more lives and so you may not have the freedom to do what you want. You may not see it that way, but the same way marriage is a gift, so is singlehood. You should not waste one gift from one pity party to another as you wait to get to the other, both should be enjoyed. To enjoy singlehood, we need to first of all stop feeding on some age old lies and annihilate them. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so choose to enjoy your today. Joyce Meyer once said, “Enjoy where you are on your way to where you are going.”
Contrary to some beliefs in some cultures that singlehood is a transition stage between childhood and marriage, it is key to know that it is a season just like any other. Depending on one's destiny which is unique, singlehood can also be a long term lifestyle choice so it is important that you know that even in a world of married couples, you still have an identity and a special place in the family of God. Some people say that one is not complete until they get married. This is a lie from hell –you are so complete! You do not need a man to complete you; you only need him to compliment you.
In response to some issues concerning marriage and being single, Paul said this:
“Now to the unmarried and to the widows I say: it is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than toburn with passion.” 1st Corinthians 7:8 There are several messages in this scripture but key to this article is the message that getting married is not the only God ordained lifestyle. Nowhere in the Bible is it written that it is mandatory for one to get married. Do not let familial and societal pressure to jump into a long term decision that you might regret for the rest of your life. If you are convinced that marriage is not for you, then go ahead and enjoy being single. Avoid the rush because the grass is not greener on the other side.
Enjoy singlehood now and do not let anyone tell you that the grass is always greener on the other side of the matrimonial fence. Whether the grass is greener or not depends on the effort either side is making. Someone once made a joke that if the grass is greener on the other side then the water bill must be higher too!
Ask your married friends and some will tell you that 'happily ever after' is a thing that does not exist in most marriages and that if they could turn back the hands of time, they would not cross over to the other side. Stop wasting precious time thinking that life would be much better if only you were married. Some people think that their loneliness can be cured if only they could get married, only to realize later that marriage can be a very lonely place to be.
Others want to get married so that they can FINALLY be happy. Truth is, no one can make you happy, your marriage partner can only compliment your own happiness, so before you start thinking that the grass is greener on the other side, try making the grass on your lawn green as well. Strive to make it better even in singlehood. Quit the obsession to get married just because everyone of your friends is getting married. You might land on the other side of the fence only to realize that hidden by the green grass are some thorns/sewage.

Be single and satisfied!!!

Is any of this true?

I'm a Kenyan living in Australia since 2005.I renounced my citizenship to acquire Australian citizenship. My wife however is only a Kenyan citizen as she has lived here for only 2 years.

She applied for a new passport before she left Kenya. I was interested when reading that the government will print new passports this time electronic.

However there are a few problems with this;

1) Kenya doesn't have an eGate system like Europe and Canada. These allow citizens to use them at airports to speed up their travel time by simply scanning the passport answering a few questions and being allowed in.

2) When my wife and I were travelling back to Kenya last year, the passport didn't seem to have any electronic part. The machines at the airport that tell you can check in by simply scanning the electronic part of any passport didn't pick it up. Also at the airports things were taking just as long as they did before the 'electronic' passport. And as far as I know airports have technology to read ANY electronic passport.

I understand there's a difference between BIOMETRIC and ELECTRONIC. Kenyan passports (as far as I know) are NOT BIOMETRIC. The biometric ones have the logo on them on the front. This is perhaps why there are no eGates in Kenya.

When will the Government deliver on its promises. Even Somalia and Nigeria have Electronic passports..

When we look at developing countries we yearn for “what if that is Kenya”

What do we know about DIGITAL:-higher-quality digital picture and sound,
more HD and XFINITY On Demand programming, faster Internet speeds, apps,
networking gears  and enhanced home phone services. Giving Kenya and
its economic growth we are seriously dragging behind and so behind of other
many majority developing countries.

Digital migration was and is one of the major steps the ICT sector and
Government are looking to benefit from this is not just for them but for us
too,  please not one way or the other we shall move from analog to digital
. if I may say it’s a shame that we are fighting not to make the move.""""
who is fighting??????""""...  It’s high time we
rethink exactly what we say here and out there especially on what would destroy
or drag us behind. This is the 21st century; year 2013 were are not going to
shops to buy "great walls and windows 95 computers, floppy disks etc...
“who still owns on of the mentioned”...... and prove us wrong that we don’t
need to move forward. And we never need to envy developing countries.

Kenya has the capacity and capability to thrive in greater height. With the
education system and graduates overflowing in and out of campuses, colleges and
technical institutions it’s an indication of how eager Kenya is to growing.

2009 The country set its deadline for migration at 2012, however this did
not come to pass as consumer lobbies delayed by going to court to challenge the
switch just for them to get off the case in 2013. A move that was embraced by
the ICT and the government as a plus for them to go ahead and give new dates
for the switch: Nairobi takes first phase,The second phase other major towns -
Malindi, Nyeri, Mombasa, Kisumu, Meru, Eldoret Nakuru and Webuye, on March 30,
next year. in addition the county will have a full switch-over done on June 30,
next year.

However, this may not come to pass as the lobby groups have already filed a
petition in court to challenge the Digital Migration. Someone need to alert
some organizations about "moving forward".... this is the 21st
century and our country is dragging .

I have issues all mixed.present which is being influenced by my past. I am a married mother of two. Before my husband I was with a guy whom we lived for 6 years together. He made me a woman; for I was very naive and young when I met him. Fast forward, after 10 years we met. I, already married and him with his second. he seems to have control over my heart though my brain says no. I have cheated with him 4 times in the last two years. He's also married although as per him it's for convince...makaratasi.. I have told him off; when I engage my brain but he uses our past to get me back. Recently he asked me to marry him. 😨. since in two years he will be done with his current marriage having achieved what he wanted in it. By the way this is his second marriage since we broke up. which he uses to literally remind me it's because nilimuacha he has never loved as he loved me....I know it is complicated. I think I feel still for this guy but I know it is wrong. I do not have any more energy to put him off or fight him but I want him off my life. i have tried all; blocking contact; he finds me back; not talking to him; he plays the victim of circumstances. we had some good moments which at times gets me back to him. I feel he is a user in all ways. his current nyanya is well off but he says hamusaidii with any thing. by the way I am quite successful career wise. this story involves even extended family where they have never accepted tuliachana. he even had a child while we were dating whose mother sadly has passed on and hes made this kid accept me as mama. he is not living with his kid. motto ako nyumbani (amongst the things that make me quilty).
