You are invited to worship with the church of Christ that meets in Matador whenever you are in town. Our famous pot-luck luncheon is every first Sunday. Gospel meetings are held the first week of March and the first week of October annually. Located 1/4 mi. east of Allsup’s on 62/70 (Bailey) Hwy.

Sundays: Bible class – 10:00 am

Worship – 11:00 am

Evening – 6:00 pm

Wednesday evening – 7:00 pm (Sept. – April)

Prayer meeting – last Wed. only of each month – 7:00 pm (May-August)

Following the Biblical example of Christ and growing in the attributes of true New Testament friendship is key to understanding your “why”. This series asks listeners to reconsider the teachings of Christ and his apostles,using their words to lay a foundation of brotherly love on which to build their own lives. Brotherly Love, Friendship Among Highest Christian Goals

Tuesday night, Mike Crowley, Jr. further developed his series of lessons entitled, “More Than a Friend”. Using the text of 2 Peter, chapter 1, he emphasized the need for Christians to be constantly growing toward a better understanding of what it means to love as Christ loved. Tonight will be the conclusion of this year’s spring gospel meeting event. Please join us at 7:00 pm when Mike explores the concept of “Befriending in an Un-friending World”. Supper and fellowship will follow.

Part Four of Six-Part Series Asks, “Who is With You in Your Wilderness?”

Mike Crowley, Jr. continued his series, “More Than a Friend” with the presentation of Part 4 on Monday night, March 2. This message, entitled “Does Jesus Want Friends?”, led listeners to dig deep into the Biblical text to find out how great spiritual leaders of the past became the friends of God. Mike’s challenging topic will be continued tonight at 7:00 pm at the Matador church of Christ when he asks, “Can Family be Friends?”.

Following each evening’s presentation, fellowship and food is plentiful in the all purpose building next door. Please join us tonight at 7 pm and share in all these blessings.
