MatrixView 1.0.3 Released

For those of you who may have noticed that keyboard navigation ceased to work with the release of Safari 3.1, a fix has now been released. With the release of 1.0.3 we now fully support Safari 3.1. This release also includes a minor fix for using the library on a page where there are additional HTML unordered lists that are not being managed by MatrixView.

I've just posed a new release of MatrixView which fixes an issue with the delete callback not being called. This will likely be the last 1.0 release before the drag selection work that is going into 1.1.

After many months of spare-time development, I am pleased to finally announce the initial release of MatrixView. MatrixView is a JavaScript library (for the Prototype framework) that adds rich functionality to standard HTML unordered lists.

After attaching MatrixView to a list element, the items of the list become navigable and selectable with your keyboard and mouse. You can navigate a list with your arrow keys, manipulate the selection of multiple items with your mouse and the shift/control/command modifiers, and define custom callbacks to operate on the selected items (such as opening, deleting, etc).

Work is already underway to add mouse drag selection and should be ready by the end of this year.
