I saw it last night. The theatre is delightful, a hidden gem. I agree that Wilmot was key. O'Mara is rather stereotype but we needed it so that the audience could settle. She was important for 'comic relief' where the Clergyman Romanian dialogue at the beginning did not really work - basically not very funny. The dean came into his own later. The two young main parts struggled in terms of dramatic presence and indeed voice projection. O'Mara was remarkable for having a muffled voice that one could hear perfectly! The gem in the play in terms of acting and dramatic presence was Winklekopf - sheer comic pleasure. In terms of plot the bit that was unclear was why LAS turned from incredulity to the complete opposite on the powers of Podgers, having only been told he was good at cricket...

Thanks for your comments, which i enjoyed

I would like to see Torchwood, Doctor Who, and other less popular (i.e. not Star Wars) sci-fi fantasysoundtracks available as ringback tones and ringtones. This music is awesome. Much of this would be appropriate as ringback tones in a professional environment, but to those of us who would recognize it, ever so subtly geeky and self-expressive. It's as if we sci-fans don't have any influence in the media market...and we're the ones who came up with the technology for this.
Doctor Who fan for 26+ years (US)
