Créer une Sonnerie iPhone depuis iTunes

Bon, en attendant mon iPhone 3GS, qui devrait arriver demain, voici un tip pour créer - très facilement - une sonnerie pour votre iPhone, en utilisant un seul logiciel que vous avez forcément, si vous avez un iPhone : iTunes!

Cette manip m'a été soufflée par Didier Coulloc'h : @Artmail555

Etape 1 : Choisissez le morceau et trouvez la partie qui vous intéresse.

(cliquez sur l'image pour l'agrandir)

Cliquez sur le click droit (ou pomme+click) et choisissez "obtenir les informations"

Etape 2 : Sélectionnez l'onglet "options"

Et rentrez l'instant exact du moment du morceau pour le début, et la fin de votre sonnerie. (ici : début à 59 secondes et fin à 1 minute 19 secondes). Si la sélection est petite, la sonnerie devrait faire une boucle.

Etape 3 : Créez la version "AAC"

Revenez sur la chanson, clic droit (ou pomme + clic, dernière fois que je le dis) et choisissez : "Création de la version AAC"

Une nouvelle version du morceau est créée sur votre iTunes (dans les morceaux récents).

Glissez la sur votre bureau.

Etape 4 : transformez la version "AAC" en sonnerie :

Une fois transféré sur votre bureau, trouvez le fichier.

Il aura une extension ".m4a" :

Transformez là en ".m4r": il suffit juste de cliquer dessus et de changer la dernière lettre! (et acceptez - transformer en "m4r" -).

Etape 5 : renvoyez le fichier ".m4r" dans votre "Bibliothèque" iTunes :

Elle ira normalement automatiquement dans votre dossier "Sonneries":

Et voilà... c'est fait!

-> N'oubliez pas de supprimer l'autre fichier "AAC" de votre iTunes, sinon vous aurez une chanson un peu courte qui y traînera!
(vous pouvez également supprimer le fichier de votre bureau)

J'ai décidé de t'écrire un post en Français, et de te tutoyer, c'est plus sympa.

L'idée, pas nouvelle, est de partager ma journée d'hier avec toi, une journée parfaite et bien remplie:

6h30, debout pour filer vers la piscine. Le fond de l'air est frais, ça va être une belle journée.

1500 metre plus tard, après avoir croisé les habitués du matin à la piscine, je rentre prendre le petit déj avec ma femme, le calme avant la tempête.

Une fois ce moment savouré, je file au bureau sur mon Speed Triple, un autre moment apprécié.

Un café au Chappe avec le cuistot Eric et l'homme de ménage Indien qui joue de la Sitar, le café est encore fermé. J'adore.

Bureau, lecture des mails envoi de mails, préparation du comité exécutif et du comité de direction.

Xavier Gouyou Beauchamps arrive, toujours aussi sympa. Il fait marrer les ingés d'en bas avec ses phrases comme, "mon cher Matthieu, me feriez vous cette grande faveur de m'offrir un feuille blanche"!

Comité exécutif, partage des bonnes nouvelles de la veille (un nouveau contrat dont je te parlerai bientôt) et gentil forcing sur un ou deux sujets (tu me connais).

On enchaine sur le comité de direction, tous nos administrateurs sont là, 7 personnes dans la salle. Bonnes nouvelles, bonnes prospections (et un gros projet concret de dév sur plein de pays!), une inquiétude rapidement balayée, tout le monde s'en va quand Thomas Blard arrive(tu sais, celui d'LCI qui faisait un VLOG qui dépote, aujourd'hui "décideurTV").

Déjeuner, Phil, Aurélien et Thomas. Au Chappe.

Beaux projets, belle rencontre, on se lance de plus en plus dans la prod!

Nous découvrons enfin la tribune d'Aurélie n dans le Monde, t'y crois ça? notre rédac chef en dessous de Rocard!

Puis, retour au bureau, coup de fil, mails, coups de fils, dossier, projets, coups de fils, prises de rendez-vous, mails et les fils RSS qui nous sortent "Mariage de Jean Sarkozy à 16h à la mairie de Neuilly"!

On décide que c'est bien de couvrir l'événement, et une fois n'est pas coutume, nous y allons nous même. Nous, enfin "je".

Speed Triple, passage à l'appart, appareil photo, télé objectif, batterie et fil de raccordement.

16h30, arrivée en panique à la mairie de Neuilly. J'ai tout loupé? J'ai tout loupé? Non, y'a encore plein de photographes, des belles poules, des belles voitures... ça doit être ça.

17h00. c'était pas le bon mariage, mais la sécurité s'agite.

18h00. un autre mariage est passé, pas la bon. La sécurité s'agite toujours. J'ai une bonne place, je vois Carla qui arrive et je shoote. Je l'ai de dos, comme tous le monde.

La moitié des photographes de la terre se positionne autour de moi. Et là, je suis assez fier, "c'est moi qu'ai trouvé le spot les gars".

Bref, on voit un peu de monde et arrive le marié, Jean Sarkozy dans une petit Suzuki Swift avec son frère et sa mère! Les oncles, les tantes, la grand mère, Linda Lacoste (me demande pas ce qu'elle fout là!).

On attend.

Le président ressort, on le voit à peine (les photos sont sur Citizenside). Carla est avec lui, on la voit encor moins.

Quelques personnes ressortent. Dont Linda Lacoste. qui a de beaux restes. Je shoote.

Et puis pas grand chose, les frères de Sarko, Hortefeux, ... manque Rachida qu'on aura pas vue (a la fois, elle était pas là tu me diras!).

Bref, 20h30, je rentre au bureau pour retrouver les autres pour le poker. On dine au Chappe (je vais prendre un abonnement, comme à la piscine).

J'envoie les photos, le poker commence, on est 8 dans la même salle de réunion que les deux comités du matin.

Je commence mal, je finis bien, +50 E à 1h15' du mat.

Retour maison, brossage de dents. Ma femme me fait un énorme câlin.

Bonne journée. Je m'endors, je dors, on remet ça demain.

The Apple CUBE PROJECT

Sometimes when you go to bed, you have these kinds of ideas that you think are killer ideas and that keeps you awake for hours. Sometimes, when you wake up the morning after, you realize it was very, very bad, sometimes you write it down and lose it somewhere on your computer.

Here is an idea I had exactly a year ago and that came back to my mind sometimes during my honey moon (don’t tell my wife please) and became an obsession. There might be similar ideas elsewhere, but I definitely think that if it’s well executed, it could be as big for apple as the iPod or the iPhone.

Have a look at it, your comments and add-ons will be more than welcome. Steve, if you read me, think about me when you release it!

Itunes already has the best position on the online music distribution market. “Cube” is my proposal to get the same position on the movie, TV and more generally video market.

iTunes platform is already succeeding on the movie market. But there are limits on this market because people don’t watch too much films on their mobile devices (main reason: they can’t do anything else while watching a movie, it’s not like music, and devices are too small). Most of people don’t watch films on their computers (except students?).

Today’s solution: apple TV

Very good but still expensive and too complicated to make it a great success as the ipod.

Next generation solution: "CUBE"

The CUBE is a living room device made to watch films and TV, and to listen to music in a very simple way, integrating all the Apple technologies:
- computer
- Auto-amplified dolby digital wifi speakers (plug and play, no wires)
- A very easy interface with separated entertainment and office areas
- A digital recorder (for TV, music, etc…)
- TNT receiver
- A 1 tera hard drive
- Digital touchscreen
- HD video projector

Options:
- A TV plug (eg. Apple Cube to interact with flat sceen if light problems)
- use iPhones or iTouch as a remote controller
- can be used as a deck for iPhones / iPods (transcodes and transfers videos and music on mobile devices)
- HD webcam to communicate with other CUBE owners
- Can work with Bluetooth keyboards and mouses

Strengths:
- Will introduce iTunes into the living room
- No wires, Wifi speakers are only plugged on house electricity
- all integrated (video, amplifier, computer, DVD/CD player, radio, TV, news, weather…)
- Easy, good looking
- Can be for home and business (CUBE pro series)
- Integrated into Apple content strategy
- Price; a bit more than an HD video projector from USD 1 500 to 2 700 for business series (transportable series for example)

Weaknesses:
- light issues
- price

Future:
- same technology adapted on an apple wide flat screen (could be released in the same time)
- smaller devices for rooms, travels
- bigger devices for professionals, events, movie theaters...
- integrated videogame platform

Apple already has most of the knowledge to build this device with its computer technologies, wireless technologies (wifi and Bluetooth), softwares, etc…

HD video projector technology with touchscreen is the key, with the perfect interface.

Benefits;
- will open a new device segment to apple
- will encourage people to buy/rent movies on itunes
- will encourage people to buy iPhones and iPods for a better interactivity
- will become a masterpiece in the center of Apple products following iPod / iPhone strategies and successes.

Competition :
- it could work with Sony, and an integrated computer AND Playstation3
- Google could find something out there, ending up giving away the device!

I was inspired by apple, I should give them the credit though.

I am now officially launching a design competition, the best designer (we’ll find a way to vote for it…) will get… all my gratitude! it doesn’t have to be a cube, it’s just a name. don’t forget the speakers!

Reasons why I'm not so happy with the iPhone:

Amazing! Today, one of my "3As" favorite brands (for Apple Armani and Audi), is about to launch what is probably about to be the product of the year 2007.

As you understood, I'm talking about the iPhone, the new Apple Ipod, which is also a cellphone, camera, etc...

Amazing! I said.

Look at this phone, nice, small, 8go for music photos and videos on a wide screen, picture and movie camera, web browser, etc...

Looks like a blockbuster. But still, I'm not happy with the iPhone coming.

How comes?

- First of all, the iPhone has a 2 MP camera. Like digital cameras 20 years ago. How can you sell a cameraphone for US$ 500 with a 2 mega pixel camera? nonsense.

- secondly, it's not 3G. who cares in North America? Well I live in Paris and a 3G phones allows you to have video conferences anywhere, and to surf the web easily and correctly.

- You can't change the chip! Even if I doubt that this kind of abuse can happen in Europe, I still think that this idea is scandalous.

- 4 and 8 Go... what can you do with 8 gigs? save the cookies for my last 24 hours of web browsing?!?

- No GPS. While most of its serious competitors (Nokia, Samsung) have it.

- Safari only. As a website editor, I can't be happy when a device is only Safari compatible. As Apple's browser is not efficient and easy to work with.

These are the reasons why I don't like the iPhone as Apple is about to launch it in just a few hours. It won't be a good citizen reporter device: It's a good device to play, but not to act.

But I guess that the "New user experience" of the wide tactile screen needs to be tested to be understood. And I've heard that it could be released with 3G technologies in Europe.

It still needs a 5 megapixel camera, a possibility to integrate firefox and a 20 GO hard drive.

Then I'll be happy with the iPhone experience.

A quick success

"For the first weeks after launching our website, we just aimed to test the website and see how things were going on. New technologies for a new profession

"Even if we have acquired an interesting popularity in French and English speaking countries, we have to develop our relationships with new European and Asian markets.", explains Matthieu Stefani. The near future: 'Scooplive Media'

The first stone of this building will be posed as of this summer, with the launching of `Scooplive Media' which will make possible to the media partners of Scooplive to benefit from the technologies developed by the company. Lead foot or foam hand?

After a long talk with my partners, we couldn't agree about an essential question, and we had to make things clear.

Would people rather have a lead foot or a foam hand?

But how could we make sure about that? we could have sent an email to all of our Scooplive members across the world... but I guess it would have been weird and not very appropriate.

I finally found this new Facebook tool, called "polls". I had a quick look, and i saw the 5$ insertion fee. But the first surprise was when I found that I could earn up to 50€ if 500 people answers the survey! Go for it dude, I told myself.

Then I'm asking the question : Would you rather have a lead foot or a foam hand?

Fisrt trends came very quickly, and the foam hand is obviously what people prefer. I can understand that, even if a foam hand is not always very useful, it could help me cleaning my Tmax or washing myself. And at least it wouldn't be the same handicap as the lead foot, when I go surfing or swimming...

Downside of the story... with my quick reading and my -not so good- english skills -I guess- Facebook didn't pay me US$ 50, but CHARGED me! Of course you will say, but I'm still a dreamer.

Actually, at the end of the day, I can't even understand how 30% of the people answered they'd rather have a lead foot. What can you do with a lead foot?

Scooplive : one year online in 5 days!

On June 20, 2007, Scooplive will be one year old... already!

We almost forgot to think about Scooplive first birthday... it's been a year now since we've launched the first official beta version of Scooplive. And believe me... it was very different from what it is now. And it's very different from what we'll offer you in one year!

That's I guess the biggest frustration I've had since I work on the web: the time it takes to have all the ideas you have online. Even if we have the best European developper aka Julien Robert aka "Robbie the brain". I can't wait to work with a big developper team... and hopefully, this could happen very soon.

But it's pretty cool already :
