It is the most misunderstood word among Muslims today. As “shrine worshipping” is popular among Muslims, there are group of people who are against it. They call it “shirk” which is an Arabic term usually translated as “setting up partner with God”.

In Singapore, we have the most famous and popular Mausoleum in Palmer Road – The tomb of Syed Habib Noh Al Habshy. Syed Habib Noh Al Habshy was born in 1788 and passed on in 1866. Buried in the uphill of Palmer Road, the Mausoleum of Habib Noh stands out from the modern architecture surrounding it as a hope and a healing to modern Muslims.

As a young boy, I love to visit the nearby tomb of Habib Noh, which was encumbered with temporary structures and storage of oil drums. Habib Noh was blessed with “special powers” to help people during his time.

On many occasions I was apprehensively astonished the “power” lies behind the maqam of Syed Habib Noh Al Habshy. Read the stories of Habib here. Can you change water into milk? If you cannot in what respects you are saying that asking from Habib is shirk?

There are many others who are magically drawn into such shrines, and twist the concept further by telling us not to ask directly but ask “the holy souls” in the tomb to recommend to God our aspirations and supplications. Is there any difference in asking them directly and asking them to recommend?

Some even promote grave visiting as a way of the Prophet Muhammad and say that to ask Allah swt to bless the already “blessed souls”. Prophet Muhammad intention to visit the grave (if he had visited) was to remind him of the hereafter. If you are conscious of the hereafter you would indeed ask for forgiveness for your “self” and not for the already blessed soul that is resting in the tomb.

What is your real intention of visiting such graves?

What is the meaning of shirk?

The verb “shaarik” شارك means to take part, partner, partake, sit in, take, spare one's life, participate, part, contribute, be shared, share, share in, join in, engage, enter, involve. The noun of “shaarik” is “shirik” شريك means partner, copartner, silent partner, associate etc.
34:22

Quli odAAoo allatheena zaAAamtum min dooni Allahi la yamlikoona mithqala tharratin fee alssamawati wala fee alardi wama lahum feehima min shirkin wama lahu minhum min thaheerin
Say: Call on those whom you have claimed besides God. They do not possess even the weight of an atom in the heavens, or the earth. They possess no partnership therein, nor is there for Him any assistant among them.

35:40

Qul araaytum shurakaakumu allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi aroonee matha khalaqoo mina alardi am lahum shirkun fee alssamawati am ataynahum kitaban fahum AAala bayyinatin minhu bal in yaAAidu alththalimoona baAAduhum baAAdan illa ghurooran

Say: Do you see the partners whom you have called on besides God? Show me what they have created on the earth. Or do they possess any partnership in the heavens? Or have We given them a book wherein they are taking knowledge from it? Indeed, what the transgressors promise one another is no more than arrogance

46:4

Qul araaytum ma tadAAoona min dooni Allahi aroonee matha khalaqoo mina alardi am lahum shirkun fee alssamawati eetoonee bikitabin min qabli hatha aw atharatin min AAilmin in kuntum sadiqeena

Say: Do you see those that you call on besides God? Show me what they have created on the earth, or do they have a share in the heavens? Bring me a book before this, or any trace of knowledge, if you are truthful

In the above verses, the “callers” are educated about the things they called upon. God says that the things called upon do not possess the power to create anything on earth or heaven nor they have any partnership or share in the creation. They are not assisting God in the creation. It is because man creates them. The reference was to the idols that man created.

As for those they call on besides God, they do not create a thing, but are themselves created 16:20

وَاعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا

“And serve God and do not set up anything with Him” 4:36 shows that the word “tushrikoo” is used to discourage setting up partners with God. And not the word “shirk” we normally use.

The word “shrik” also means “share” which implicates taking as opposed to “yubashirk” which means to “give”. The callers were not just calling but calling to accomplish or get something, they want. According to Al Quran, we can conclude that calling inanimate things (for help) is equal to setting up partners with God.

That is why there is nothing wrong to ask or call your boss for a salary increase. This is because he or she is living and able to help or not to render help. There will be a reaction from the living. If asking from someone who is alive considered forbidden, then when the Arabs sought Christian help during Prophet Muhammad‘s time due to the ill treatment they faced would also be counted as “shirk”.

It is piety to “give…. those who ask..” 2:177, according to Al Quran.

Therefore, you are setting up partners (with God) only when you call upon inanimate things for help. How stupid can human being can become? Verse 16:20 clearly stating the stupidity of idol worshipping.

Chapter 1 Verse 5

You can hear this often: “you alone we serve, you alone we seek for help”. Many of so called Muslims (who claimed to be on the correct path) will cite this verse to proof the point that when you ask, ask God alone. In this respect, you have to avoid “shrine worshipping” and seek only God’s help.

The “seek for help” here refers to asking Allah swt to help to serve Allah swt’s purpose on earth- through us. You alone we serve and help us to serve “you” better. The next verse also explains what kind of help we can ask from Allah swt.

Here we are asking Allah swt to show the straight path (for the purpose to serve Allah swt). A straight path is the shortest path than a winding path. Verse 1:7 clearly shows the straight path you are asking from God in verse 1:6. That is the path of those blessed, not the path of those who got the “wrath” of God and the misguided.

In summary, Allah swt wants us to ask him to show the path of those who are blessed and not the path of the cursed. So when you visit the grave of the blessed, it is obligatory to ask the path of the blessed and not to ask Allah swt to bless the already blessed.

Incorruptibles

There is a special favor bestowed on those people who are “dead” in the “cause” of God. According to chaper 2 verse 154, Allah swt informing us that those people that are “dead” in the cause of Allah swt are actually living.

And do not say of those who are killed in the cause of God that they are dead; no, they are alive but you do not perceive 2:154

This verse clearly is on the side of “shrine worshippers” as Allah swt. If you worship to a piece of stick and stones, that is considered “tushrikoo” and you are “mushreek” in the “eyes” of Allah swt. Allah swt says it is piety to give those who ask in 2:177. Allah swt is not against asking from the living. The asking will be beneficial to the giver as the act of his giving (for those who ask) becomes pious act.

2:154 refers to the wars that happened during Prophet Muhammad’s time. However, until the end of world, there will be people who are always “fighting” in the cause of Allah swt to spread Allah’s message to the rest of the world. In the process, if they die they are not dead. They are living according to 2:154.

If you read the story of “blessed souls” you will find a symmetrical development in their lives which they have to somehow overcome or fight to spread the words of Allah swt. For example, Hazereth shahul Hameed RA of Nagore avoid marriage just to focus on the cause of Allah swt. Do you think you can fight such a “war”?

Therefore, you are not a mushreek if you ask the blessed souls like Habib Noh wali Allah RA or Hazereth Sultan Arifin RA of Pulau Besar, Malacca. There are many blessed souls spread across the globe. They walked far away from their homes just for the cause of God. And they are living according to verse 2:154. If you ask, they will give as they love piety.

I Saw Jesus Christ

It was night and I was on top of a building standing for prayer. I could see the dark sky painted across the horizon. And, I saw a giant profile of a person in the dark sky. The person was standing facing towards me like how a person stands for prayer or salat. However, his face was looking down as though he was in “qiyam” position.

It was a position of reverence, respect or standing in salutation towards me. I just say “this is Jesus Christ”. I do not know why I said it was Jesus Christ. I simply know that it was him- Hazret Isa alaihis salam.

Suddenly, I saw a white moon traversing across the sky and prostrating continuously. Two men appeared in white suddenly and started approaching me in a gentle manner. That is all I dreamt. I dreamt Jesus Christ in Qiyam position facing me. It is a position of respect towards me. The moon was prostrating me. As I was pondering over the dream, I remembered the following verses 12:4 to 6 in the Al Quran:

When Joseph said to his father: My father, I have seen eleven planets and the sun and the moon, I saw them prostrating to me

He said: O my son, do not tell your vision to your brothers, or they will plan against you. The devil is to man a clear enemy

And as such, your Lord has chosen you, and He teaches you the interpretation of the narrations, and He completes His blessings upon you and upon the descendants of Jacob, as He completed it for your fathers before that, Abraham and Isaac. Your Lord is Knowledgeable, Wise.

In my earlier dream I saw Prophet Muhammad and now I have seen Jesus Christ.

May Allah swt guide us all!

Two weeks ago, my mother was hospitalized for giddiness. She had been suffering from diabetics for a few years. She had been on modern medication. However, she had not been getting any better. Some advised me that she had to control her eating habits. She visited the doctor two days’ ago and she was advised to continue with her medication. She has to visit the doctor in another three weeks.

I am thinking of making her recite the key of the treasures of the heaven and earth recommended by our great leader Prophet Muhammadصلاح على محماد صلالة عليه وسلام . One of the benefits that you can reap from this recitation is that “Two angels are appointed to guard him (the one who recite this) day and night from his sufferings and diseases”. You can read the detail benefits of this recitation here.

One interesting to note here is this. My mother cannot read the English transliteration of the ‘holy’ praises from Arabic. Therefore, I have decided to write out the Tamil transliteration for her. At the same time, my heart tells me to post this transliteration in my blog here. My heart is totally convinced of the great gift from Allah through the Holy Prophet Muhammadصلاح على محماد صلالة عليه وسلام that whoever recites this will be in the pink of health.

I had the opportunity to carry out a blood test on me three weeks ago. I made an appointment with the clinic. After taking some sample of my blood, the result came. The nurse told me in surprise that I was lucky to have an acceptable sugar and cholesterol level in my blood despite my body mass index was on high side. She said that it was normal for people in my age group having diabetics, blood pressure etcetra. Alhamdulillah – All praise to Allah.

It is all the Will of Allah swt in His Wisdoms knows when to give a solution to a problem. Allah is the Most Compassionate and The Most Merciful. Allah swt says:

And behold, with every hardship, comes ease 94:5

God does not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear 2 :286

I pray that this post brings good news to all Muslims. Use this formula for your good health. And when you get cured and well, pray for my mother, me and my family.

The Key of the Treasure of the Heaven and Earth in Tamil tranliteration:

UR3CE2Q9RH9S

Do You Love Allah?

Do you love Allah (Glory Be To Him)? Majority of human race believe in some sort of super force managing their lives. It is not difficult to find someone who belief in God. In my first book ‘Jinn’ I have touched very mildly on this belief of God. However, our objective must be in line with Allah (Glory Be To Him) decree. There is no point in believing in Allah (Glory Be To Him) and ignorant of Allah’s (Glory Be To Him) guidance.

What is Guidance?

When we were young, our parents or guardians teach us what and what not to do. We were always being taught and reminded the ‘do’s ‘and ‘don’ts’. We listen and comply is because we ‘fear’ what may happen if we go out of the ‘rules’. We do not listen when we think that the pasture on the other side will be better than the present one. We were termed as rebellious.

Everything has a limit. When we eat too much, our body does not make space for the fats to accumulate. It does not expand itself. As a result, our profile gets bloated and we become fat. The house we occupy has also its limit. The walls act as a protection from sunlight, rain and wind. Can we live in an open space?

The world we live in is one among the billions of planets in our cosmic ocean we call universe. Scientist and futurist are exploring to colonise planets for future living. However, at any point in time we are always living with limits. That is the reality. They claim to have found many planets, but is it possible to migrate and live in another planet? This is what Allah (Glory Be To Him) has to say in his glorious Al Quran

Ya maAAshara aljinni waalinsi ini istataAAtum an tanfuthoo min aqtari alssamawati waalardi faonfuthoo la tanfuthoona illa bisultanin
55:33 O ye assembly of JINNs and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!

To discover a planet like earth is also within the permission and Will of Allah (Glory Be To Him). Though the probability of having another earth can be philosophically right, Allah (Glory Be To Him) can only decide the physical existence of another earth. At this point of time, the reality is that we have only one earth to deal with.

The Message in the Quran is from the Creator, Allah (Glory Be To Him) The Truth of all reality. It is in His Hand our lives and our destinies. Who are we to ignore this? We can boastfully say that we love Allah (Glory Be To Him). However, how sure are we that we indeed love Allah (Glory Be To Him)? If you love a person, the person will tell you that he or she loves you in reciprocation. That person might tell you to do this and that to ‘test’ your love. The subject might also show you the road or way by which you can clearly show your love towards the subject concerned.

Allah (Glory Be To Him) teaches us how to love Him in this verse:

Qul in kuntum tuhibboona Allaha faittabiAAoonee yuhbibkumu Allahu wayaghfir lakum thunoobakum waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun
3:31 Say: "If ye do love Allah, FOLLOW ME: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Prophet Muhammad (May Peace And Blessings Of Allah swt Be Upon Him) is the last prophet of Islam as a guide to mankind. He is the most beloved of Allah (Glory Be To Him). If you are clever person, you will not wait to learn about this prophet: how he sleeps, how he eats, how he behaves to another person, how he drinks, how he dresses, and so on. My suggestion is to know all about Prophet Muhammad in the various hadiths that we have. You can then cross-reference those hadiths with the Al Quran to get a much clearer picture of Prophet Muhammad (May Peace And Blessings Of Allah swt Be Upon Him).

In essence, the only we can be accepted as a lover of Allah (Glory Be To Him) is when we follow the last Prophet of Islam: Prophet Muhammad (May Peace And Blessings Of Allah swt Be Upon Him).

How To Dream Of Prophet Muhammad : Maulana.Com Part 2

This is another video of dreaming of our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallahu alaihi wasallam,

Have you dreamed of Prophet Muhammad sallahu alaihi wasallam?

<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:subtitle>This is another video of dreaming of our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallahu alaihi wasallam, Have you dreamed of Prophet Muhammad sallahu alaihi wasallam?</itunes:subtitle><itunes:author>noreply@blogger.com (G a z z a l i)</itunes:author><itunes:summary>This is another video of dreaming of our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallahu alaihi wasallam, Have you dreamed of Prophet Muhammad sallahu alaihi wasallam?</itunes:summary><itunes:keywords>VISION OF THE PROPHET</itunes:keywords>

How To Dream Of Prophet Muhammad sallahu alaihe wasallam : Maulana.Com

It has been recorded in many hadiths about the authenticity of dreaming Prophet Muhammad sallalahu alaihi wasalam. The legitimate reason for living is to be happy. How can then we be happy without material things? We need a house to live in, food and drink to appease our hunger and quench the thirsts, and clothing to cover our bodies. In order to fulfil our daily needs we need financial stability. But how can we attract unlimited wealth? What is the secret to financial freedom?

The key to financial freedom lies in chapter 2 verse 261:

THE PARABLE of those who spend their possessions for the sake of God is
that of a grain out of which grow seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains:
for God grants manifold increase unto whom He wills; and God is infinite, all-knowing.

Who can be the best teacher than our Creator who teaches a paradoxical approach in financial stability? Allah swt teaches us by way of allegory. According to the above verse, Allah swt says that He enriches the one who gives or spend for the cause of Allah swt by 700 times – you give and get more. This is the illogical principal where many fail to realise the WILL and POWER of Allah swt.

Sake of God

The spending involves another vital purpose of that expenditure – that is FOR THE SAKE OF GOD. In the absence of this purpose any expenditure is futile. The expenditure will not bring in additional wealth to the person who spent. It only decreases your wealth. So the next time you spent say that your expenditure is FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH – FEE SABEELILAH

On Whom To Spent?

2:215 THEY WILL ASK thee as to what they should spend on others. Say: "Whatever of your wealth you spend shall [first] be for your parents, and for the near of kin, and the orphans, and the needy, and the wayfarer; and whatever good you do, verily, God has full knowledge thereof."

Falil waalidayni – ‘FOR YOUR PARENTS’

Al Aqrabeena – ‘THE KIN’

Al Yataama - 'THE ORPHANS'

Al Masaakeen – ‘THE NEEDY’

Al Sabeel –‘THE TRAVELLER ’

Financial freedom is a gift from God who wants you to be affluent in this life. Otherwise He will not have revealed the secret of abundant living. It all depends on your spending. If you have all these groups to focus on your expenditure you are actually injecting spending to the mechanism of the economy. In this times of economic crisis, the solution lies in spending. The problem of economics lies in demand and supply. If demand shrinks it affects supply and in turn affect the country and world at large. If you happen to spend on the above mentioned group do not forget to intent that your expenditure is FOR THE SAKE OF GOD. Do this and you will be wealthy!!

Prayer Is A gateway to Paradise Promised by Allah swt

The story of Mihraj or Ascension to the Heavens is a phenomenon only for our Prophet Muhammad saws. Whether you believe it or not it is all up to you. But when I read the story on and on I am beginning to know myself. Rasoolullah told us that if you want to know God – know thyself. It is a simple statement but to extract the essence of this message you need deep thinking about your self and your relationship with Allah swt.

In that story, Hazereth Jibreel alaihisalam brought Prophet Muhammad saws to the worlds of the unseen. He showed our beloved Prophet that part of faith (with the command of our creator) which we utter in our daily lives with our tongue that is ‘wal yawmil akhiri’. And when he reached the entry to Allah’s presence Hazereth Jibreel Alaihisalam shivered with fear. Hazereth Jibreel alaihisalam said Prophet Muhammad saws, ‘stop, you go forward from here’. It has been stated in many hadiths that Hazereth Jibreel alaihisalam gave a serious impression to the Prophet. When Hazereth Jibreel alaihisalam was asked by the Prophet about Hazereth Mikaeel alaihisalam, he said “I never saw him smiling since hell fire was created”

The only reason the angels are not smiling is because of their fear that Allah swt might throw them into the hell fire on the day of Judgement. Remember the angels are powerful than humans. It is also mentioned that Hazereth Jibreel alaihisalam had appeared before Prophet Muhammad and covered the entire horizon. And yet Hazereth Jibreel alaihisalam fear Allah swt. Who are we to ignore this fear? Hazereth Jibreel has the power to squeeze a valley of taif when Prophet Muhammad saws was stoned during his expedition to spread the faith.

"Paradise is where we belong"

O believers remember that whenever we approach prayer we are seeing our Lord. We have to shiver when approaching prayer like Hazereth Jibreel alaihisalam. We have to be serious in our prayers. It is not only a routine exercise for asking from Allah swt. It is also a moment of your daily life to fear and cry for his mercy. Do you not ponder when our beloved Prophet said that ‘If you know what I know you will laugh little and cry much. '

The five times prayer is five time opportunities for us to show gratitude and fear towards Allah swt so that we can be forgiven of our sins and gain paradise. Paradise is where we belong.

Actify Your Prayer For God To Answer

In every religion prayer is an essential part of that particular religion. But only in Islam the steps to reach God is clearly stated through prayer. The problem of today's muslim is that they are so defensive with their religion but they do not know what they are defending about. We have been separated with the higher eternal living but yet we have a door to reach God in an instant. That door is what God has given us to use it whenever you want to communicate with God. That door is through our 5 times prayer.
A prayer of a devout muslim is faster than a rocket. It reaches God instantly. And God loves a muslim who pray with piety in his or her heart. Apart from preparation, intention, and the vey act of prayer one thing you need to do is to see God in your prayer - and to see him with certaintly. Let me explain the concept of certaintly. What is certainty?

In the chapter 102 Al Takathur or Piling Up God's admonition those who pile up wealth conciously forgetting the hereafter. God is reminding us that the punishment in the grave is a real thing and God used the word ' yakeen' meaning with certaintly. We will feel the punishment as how we are feeling right now when we are here physically happily adding up our wealth thinking that it will be helpful.

In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of
certainty 102:7

God is warning us that the hereafter is as real as this world right now. If the hereafter is as real then it is of utmost importance that we see God here during prayer - and see Him with certainty. We shall explore further on how to see God with certainty in our daily prayer. May God give us the opportunity to understand Him in our prayers.

Opinion Of the Scholar About Prayer?

On Friday Oct 03 the world renowned Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani gave a speech on the importance of observing the daily prayers with sincerity and love. Here is just a gist of what was spoken in Fenton US.

Prayers are the zones where you are most near to Allah swt to ask Him what you need. “In it , feeha yatasa” “feeha ma yaleeq min al – asrar- in it all kinds of secrets lies within in the prayer itself. Allah swt will open whatever secrets or blessings to His servant when he is praying and no one will know what lies within a specific prayer. Actually many people approach prayer through problems and when they face difficulties. Salathul al Haajjah is a prayer of fulfilling a need and the person who gets what he wanted forgot that the solution is from Allah swt. It is also important to ask a need from your heart not just merely ask by raising your hands as Allah swt says that He will respond to our calls in the Al Quran.

In order to see whether our prayer is working for us is the effect it produces. If we are continuing our sins then our prayer is not a prayer in the sight of Allah swt. “Inna as-salata tanha anil fahsha i wal munkar” which means Prayers prevent sins, fahsha i and munkar. Prayer will prevent sin. If it does not prevent sin then the person who continues with the usual sins in fact has not prayed. That is why the Sahaba of rasullulah focused on prayer much.

In one of the hadeeth Sayidina Ali (RA) had a toothache. He said ,”Pull my tooth when I am in prayer” So when in prayer in at tahiyaat his friends put a rope around the decayed tooth and pulled it. And when Sayidina Ali after saying “as salam alaykum wa rahmatullah” he asked his friends “ when will you pull it out?” In other words, Saydina Ali RA prayer is not in dunya or world. He was not there. He was with the Prophet (saws) who was with Allah swt. So this is a lesson which we know we cannot achieve that even if we live for one million years!

And what did Abi Dharr al Ghifari Radiallahu anhu said? He said, “That every breath that comes out of my mouth should come out from remembering Allah swt and I am sad and I am sorrowful on that breath that comes out without the dhikrullah” How many times our breath comes out without the remembrance of Allah swt.?

our prayers will not be accepted because prayers will prevent us from committing sins; If not then there is lack of piety and lack of sincerity

People go to the movies. They are engrossed with the movie. All those breath are without the remembrance of Allah swt. How sorrowful you have to be? See how far we are behind in the remembrance of Allah swt. As parents we cannot raise our children out of the paradigm of faith.

Ibn Abbas learned from the Holy Prophet saws. He said “If you prayed and you didn’t feel any fear of Allah and didn’t feel any love and didn’t feel any softness then you are doing like a habit, praying 2 or 4 raka’ats when adhan comes. If you don’t feel that fear and if you read the Quran and don’t feel any feeling from reading it, (and many people come and say we are bored reading Quran) and if you remember Allah and tears don’t come out of your eyes, then go outside and bring dirt and throw it on your head, and aks Allah to give you a dieeferent heart because your heart is dead. Look how advance in every work they do.

When we are praying and saying “iyyaka na’budu wa iyya ka nasta ‘een”. Who are you talking to? It means you are speaking directly to Allah asking for support and that “ to You we worship” – it means speaking directly with NO VEIL. It is not indirect. We are not saying “iyyahu” but “iyyaka” -directly

When Allah revealed Surat al Fatiha He revealed it “iyyaka na budu wa iyyaka nasta een”. When some Sahaba were reading it, and one was Ibn Mas’ud he was reading it differently. And he said, “no it is not correct, As if you are facing Him direct” He could not accept, “how can I speak to Allah directly” He was reciting it iyyahu na’budu” –“I have to say in the tense where i am not seeing Him”.

But He is seeing you. So you have to speak to Him directly. He likes His servant to come to Him directly. We are worshiping Him , we cannot see Him but He can see us.

When we recite the at tahiyyat at the end of the prayer we are sending greetings to Prophet Muhammad saws. “ as salaamu alayka ayyuhan nabi” The letter “kaf” at that end in tahiyyaat- “greetings to you O Muhammad(saws) “- directly speaking to (him) Muhammad.

Many scholars saying our prayers will not be accepted because prayers will prevent us from committing sins; If not then there is lack of piety and lack of sincerity.

Prayer is for enriching life!

Quality Prayer -Prologue

I want to start a series of posts on prayer. “Prayer is the coolness of my eyes” said the Prophet PBUH. Every word of the Prophet is as true as the Holy Quran. How can prayer be soothing to him yet a boring “ritual” to most of us.

If you ask a muslim to choose between a “going to the cinema” and "going to the mosque", the most likely urge is to choose the former. That is the reality of this age. Prayer is losing its popularity among muslims. The real reason is that we “cannot” see God in our prayer.

If you are using the computer now can you ask this simple question - where is the electrical power coming from? The answer will be it is from the power socket. It is from the circuit distribution board, from the switch room, from the distribution center, from the power supply, from the power generator.

One broken link in that chain and your computer will be useless. Similarly, if you cannot see Allah swt in your prayer – your link is broken and you are stuck in the boredom of ritual.

In order to break the boredom i have given readers simple steps on how to perform prayer and readers are urged to understand each step carefully before proceeding to the next one. You can either sent me an email or comment here for me to reply all your queries. Here are the steps:

How To Enter Prayer?

How Food affect prayer?

Wash By The Rules

Learn To Say The Azan

How To Remember Allah swt?

What you understand about prayer?

Prayer Is A Quencher

It is my ardent desire to find out what we can discover in prayer. That is why I am posting articles in this regard. It is not an easy task to find out what is the ‘key’ to open the floodgate in a prayer. We will find something in prayer. It is only a matter of time.It is definitely that ‘something’ we did not experience in life is behind the veil of our prayer. In my preceding post I have given readers the first step in approaching prayer.

Readers may find that my posts are not on a consistent basis. I feel guilty at times. To tell you the truth, it is not an easy task writing about something which I have not gone through. I just want to unlock the key in a successful prayer. There is something there in prayer – a gift from Allah swt- for those who enters prayer to unlock and take it.

But prayer is a ritual, monotonous exercise for the majority. It is because many of us who enters prayer are in a lazy mindset about prayers. It gives nothing. It is not entertaining like watching a movie or playing a game in the internet. It is not like getting affiliated with your friends. It is not like spending time with your relatives. It is not like eating or sleeping. It is not like watching a television show. So if it does not give back anything ‘tangible’ to us then it is not needed. If it is not needed then the very act of prayer becomes a burden. You cannot see anything in prayer. It is boring!

In our daily lives we ask many things many times. If the hand phone bill shows an erroneous bill the next instance we call the billings department to resolve. If there is a serious traffic jam in one of the expressway you seek to find out what had happened. We want to seek out the truth.

I have the occasion to meet one of the real estate investor and posed him a question on how he managed to become a successful businessman. He said ‘ to make every stone un-turn’. It is a simple proverb but meaningful one. To know everything in what you are doing. Know your stuff.

That is for business. For our daily prayer I think the inquisition to know about the subject is that we do not know the seriousness of Allah swt not accepting our prayer. It is not felt. We cannot feel the pain now! The pain is not immediate. If you do not enquire about the erroneous bill – the pain of paying extra is felt. The pain of delay makes us to find out what is happening in our roads. The pain of not being a successful entrepreneur makes us to find out the art of business success. That is why we are not serious in knowing the art of prayer. Do you know which prophet said the following supplication?

O my Lord! Make me one who establishes regular Prayer, and also (raise such)among my offspring O our Lord! And accept Thou my Prayer – AL Quran 14:40

Do you still think that there is nothing in prayer just because we cannot feel the benefit from it? Prayer is quencher! Read the following verse of the holy Quran :

For Him (alone) is prayer in Truth: any others that they call upon besides Him hear them no more than if they were to stretch forth their hands for water to reach their mouths but it reaches them not: for the prayer of thosewithout Faith is nothing but(futile) wandering (in their mind) : Chap 13verse 14

Can you hold water with stretch out hands? Bring all the fingers together like a cup and quench your thirst by quality prayer

In the name of Allah,The Most Gracious,The Most Merciful

In the name of God The Most Gracious The Most Merciful. We use to call him by the name maulana. Thus maulana.com

What is the benefit here?

Though it is a personal spiritual journey i have included my own experiences so that readers can use it for their own development. The religion of Islam is not a static ritual dogma but when practiced with certainty you will reap the sweetness of faith. My vision of our beloved Prophet Muhammad is one example. God also places lights on earth as a signpost to direct all attention to the Most Holy. Our spiritual strength will emanate like stars in the sight of Allah the Most High. In our everyday life we focus on so many things. But only in prayer Allah swt gives you a break from all the troubles and problems by making your time to remember Him alone. But instead of remembering Allah swt, the performers of prayers mostly remember their matters about the world. This is where the basis of contradiction will arise. Do not be a selfish performer of prayer. Give your time to Allah swt.

Why I say contradictions? On one hand we belief in Allah swt but on the other hand we do not ask Allah swt to make the belief stronger. We think that we are going to perform the prayer. But we have forgotten that we are just an instrument of Allah swt. Now in this blog you may have learned some skill in your spiritual pursuit.

Sometimes I wonder why I am writing this blog. It gives me nothing but taking so much of my sleep time. The reason is this - I love to write about Islam. Is that love self imposed? I do not think so. The passion in me is planted by my Creator Allah swt.

Do not fear this world. But be fearful of the next world. That will be a better decision of the intelligent believer. Prayer is a skill that can be learned. But the first step to master the skill is to learn to ask.

Ask Allah swt to make your prayer a perfect one in His sight. I am not saying that you recite some Arabic ritualistic recitation – but what I am saying is to bring out your true intention of entering the prayer by asking Allah swt to help you.

Basically prayer or salat is to remember Allah swt. So when entering prayer do not forget to ask Allah swt to make you remember Him 100 percent. You can just say it in your heart as Allah knows what your heart says.

“Ya Allah give me the best remembrance about You”

“ Ya Allah make my prayer the coolness of my eyes”

“ Ya Allah make my heart filled with Your remembrance”

By the way you can ask Allah swt in any language but ask in silence in your heart. By doing this you are not going against to the held procedures of prayer defined by the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad saws.

God will not call you to account for your casual oaths, but He will call you to account for what has entered your hearts. God is Forgiving, Compassionate 2:225

In many verses of the Al Quran Allah swt has mentioned about our hearts. So ask Allah swt with your heart.

[quality prayer]
[oaths]
[ritual]
[skill of prayer]

Quality Prayer - Learn To Say the Azan

The Prayer in Islam is actually a communion with the Creator who is above and beyond all understanding and reality. In order to get a one hundred percent communication with Allah swt, conscious effort is needed by the performer of prayer. The first and foremost of prayer is the beautiful Azan or Call to Prayer. It is one of the factors which will help in uplifting our prayers from a dull ritual to quality devotion. I am somehow very fortunate to have secured the Keys Of The Treasures of The Heaven and Earth. I have become somehow more conscious of my connection with the spiritual dimension. All praise to Allah swt.

I truly want you to taste the sweetness of faith with Allah swt. One day we will see from our own eyes that the only truth is Allah swt. Then it will be too late. Why not ponder over Allah swt truthfulness in this world.

In this section I want to write about the one thing that brings you near to the door of success - which is the obligatory ablution. Allah swt says in the Al Quran Chapter 5 verse 6 as follows:

*O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, God doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful.*

I have been taught from childhood that I had to do ablution in the following manner.

Hands
Mouth
Nostrils
Face
Hand to elbow
Ears
Rub your heads
Neck
Feet

It is best to use the Al Quran as a pivot point to address the issue at hand. Try to follow what is said in the Al Quran. Wash your face first –includes the eyes, nose, ears- and then your hands to the elbow. Wash your feet to the ankles. ..

Quality Prayer - Consumption of Lawful Things

In my last article I have said that the condition for having a quality prayer is when you enter a prayer in a happy state. But this is not an easy task for a beginner. It is only easy for the pious. I began to search for a simple solution for getting that happiness in prayer.

Today is Friday and I got the answer from the imam (the person who leads the prayer in a congregational prayer). He said that inorder for us to perform our religious duty base requirement is that as a muslim we have to be careful on what we eat. He said that Allah swt said in Chaper 5 verse 3 of the Al Quran as follows:

Forbidden to you is that which is already dead, and the blood, and the meat of pig, and what was sacrificed to other than God, and that which has been strangled, and that which has been beaten to death, and that which has fallen from a height, and that which has been gored, and that which the wild animals have eaten from except what you managed to rescue, and what has been slaughtered on alters, and what you divide by the arrows of chance. This is all vile. Today the rejecters have given up from your system, so do not fear them, but fear Me. Today I have perfected your religion (system) for you, and completed My blessings upon you, and I have chosen Islam (submission) as the religion for you. So, whoever is forced by severe hunger and not seeking sin, then God is Forgiving, Merciful.

As the fat amount in pigs are high, producers of livestock sell this pig lard to food producers to be used as an emulsifying agent. You may wish to see this site for all the codes of lawful emulsifier. ... [Part 4]

Quality Prayer -Be Happy To Enter Prayer

The human heart is the most important part of the body. A wise person once said that it is the place where you can ‘hold’ Allah swt. Allah swt sees the heart. Allah swt says in Chapter 2 verse 225 as follows:

‘God will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths, but for the
intention in your hearts; and He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing’

Therefore, the first things you have to do when you are approaching prayer try to feel that you are going to heaven. Feel in your heart that your place you are right now is ‘hell’. If a man who had walked on the desert for days without a drop of water and suddenly sees an oasis will rush to quench his thirst. This is exactly how you must feel towards prayer. Rush to the Creator to quench for all your needs – be it spiritual or material.

The first step for quality prayer- happiness shall precede when entering prayer. This is conditional. [part 3]

Keys Of The Treasures Of The Heaven And Earth -Part 3

If you think that it is very difficult to practice the keys of the treasures of the the heaven and earth , i will give you a simple solution for your concern.

You can read the KTHE either in one go 100 times or you can break your readings.
