Title —Sharp Objects — Gillian Flynn

If anybody has watched the Movie, Gone Girl, you would know who the author Gillian Flynn is. The Sharp Objects is the debutant novel of Gillian Flynn, released in 2006. The story is about the reporter Camille Parker who is sent to her hometown to get the story of 2 girls murdered. By now, you should know that this book is a murder mystery genre.

What made me read this book?

I don’t know anything about the 2014 released Gone Girl that I watched then. But after watching the movie, I learned that this psychological thriller is based on the book of the same name, Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn. After many years when I found Sharp Objects book in the library, without any thought, I picked the book.

The theme is dark, all the characters esp Women in the story, have all dark and bizarre issues. You feel pain while reading the book, and you don’t want to read the book with all such creepy problems, but you are still intrigued by the book as you want to know the mystery and the suspense. There is some feeling and empathy for the characters while reading. The situation is alarming for society if we dive deep and look at the problems that seem weird. Gillian Flynn did amazingly in crafting and drafting stories relating to thriller and murder mysteries. However, we all must be mindful that Reader discretion is advised for R rated content.

Finally — this book is a fantastic read that gives you all the thrill and suspense while reading. Though it starts slowly, the story picks up gradually, and you turn the pages to read more and more.

Mahesh Babu – An Ode to the Actor beyond star

Those were childhood days- the first Mahesh Babu film I watched in Theatre locally was Yuvaraju in 2000. The same goes for the film Vamsi - my first film watched in the Theatre in my grandfather's homeplace.

If anyone asks me, what's the first film you watched in Theaters in Hyderabad? Again it's Mahesh Babu's film in the form of Murari.

Then as days passed, unknowingly, I had many memories connected to each film. Of all movies, Okkadu is one such unique movie having many reminiscences.

1. Being in residential college during my intermediate days, as part of my outing, I brought an Okkadu Audio cassette in Koti(A place in Hyderabad city). I still remember the audio cassette poster was sky blue. And it just doesn't end there. Traveling in the local RTC bus where you don't have any local radio channels to listen in the bus (Radio Mirchi, Radio City, 93.5 S FM, etc., might have just started in 2003 ) during those days or the songs played on the bus were usually old songs. My friends and I asked the bus driver to play the Okkadu songs, and the songs were played multiple times throughout the ride, starting from Koti until the final stop at Kukatpally. New songs played on the RTC bus then were a big thing, and everyone enjoyed the new atmosphere of listening to new songs. The music from Manisharma is something for this film.

2. When I went to my home town Nizamabad as part of the Sankranthi Holidays, that's when Okkadu Movie got released. Being habituated to watching the movies alone, I asked my father to get Okkadu Ticket. It was easy for my father to get the tickets as my father knew the theatre circle locally in Nizamabad. I didn't take it seriously and thought my father might not get the movie ticket, but to my surprise, he sent the movie ticket through his office attendant, where unfortunately I was not at home during that time ( So I missed watching the film on the very first day :( ). However, the next day, I got the ticket again and watched the movie from the Box area (Special seats in Theatre given to Guests ). I enjoyed the film thoroughly. My age is mere 17 plus, but I'm mature enough to like commercial cinema, and Okkadu is one such film made to enjoy the aura at that time.

3. Usually, it's a habit for all hostlers to gather at one place to watch any film as soon as they are in Hyderabad, traveling from different towns and villages, and then we go to Hostel. So again watched the movie in Kukatpally, Arjun theatre, for the second show. Okkadu was a massive hit and received good talk, so we didn't get tickets for 1st show in the balcony seating(Rs ~40), so I tried for 2nd class tickets. I was in the line in the crowded mass, then suddenly I lost my breath due to such a highly intensified packed crowd, and I got squeezed in all directions. As I am not experienced to that environment, I was unconscious for some time and had to come out from that crowded group forcibly. Though it was a bitter experience, it was a different experience to encounter the mass crowd. When the movie gets the hit talk, it's expected to see crowded theaters. (Now you don't have to worry much as when the Big movie is going to release, it's screening in many theatres and we have an online ticketing system). We all hostlers, however, who were high in numbers> 50 plus, the theatre management agreed to allocate tickets for 2nd show, and that's how I enjoyed the movie again and this time with all my friends.

As I said earlier, every Mahesh Babu film has its memory etched in my mind and pages filled with memories. I was not a fan of anyone, and I'm more fan of Movies, but unknowingly the fanboy moment in me felt during the middle of Under grad for Mahesh Babu. It happened instantly based on different experiences each time for each movie and, of course, the star image he got for his tremendous performances in each film. There were many variations of the style of movies Mahesh chose at that time, whether it was cowboy style in Takkari Donga, Innocent and Sensitive in Nijam, Action Packed style with Intelligence in Athadu, Pure mass commercial from Pokiri that gave Superstar image, out of exceptional acting from Khaleja, Pure Intelligence, and Nolanesque thinking through 1 Nen Okkadine - these all have different roles that provided much entertainment to the audience.

When I was in the U.S., Khaleja movie was released in 2010( My first Mahesh film in the U.S...Lol). As the fan vibe was inside me unknowingly, I was more fanatic about collecting all Mahesh posters. My laptop wallpaper used to be a Khaleja poster (this is common for every fan for their stars ). There was an app released for MaheshBabuu on iPhone/Android - That was a new feeling to install the app, which has all poster collections and updates about Mahesh Babu.

Every film from Mahesh Babu was different, and he proved that by making experimental films until recent times, where social and moral expressions are common in films like Bharat Ane Nenu and Maharshi. However, each film's context is different, that started from Sreemanthudu. Mahesh Babu might already know by now, but as a fan of Telugu Cinema, we expect Mahesh Babu to make experimental films and different genres as he used to do earlier, which I believe he is doing again now. Everyone is waiting for the future more than life film from Rajamouli, of course apart from other films.

More than actor, he is living the life of saving many lives through his philanthropic work. Kudos to all his work for society and entertaining us through his movies.

This post is an ode to Mahesh Babu as he is celebrating his Birthday on August 9th.

P.S. - There is nothing wrong with being a fan of some movie star, but it doesn't mean that fanism should be mad and provoke unnecessary fights between fans of different stars. The culture of this is so silly and doesn't give any value to the respective individual. I might be a fan of Mahesh Babu, and I m a fan of Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, and NTR, but more than that, I'm a fan of Telugu cinema.

I have been thinking of writing this for many years, and finally, I am writing now.

I Want to Eat Your Pancreas

Watching Anime films is unusual for me. Rarely happens. When was the last Japanese Anime film I watched? May be Isle of Dogs released in the year 2017 from Wes Anderson? And now, I watched this film called I want to Eat your Pancreas. I should thank the movie buffs who have recommended this film.

Based on 2015 novel, I want to eat your Pancreas written by Yuoro Sumino is the story about the young girl Sakura who has only a few years to live due to the Pancreas. She keeps a diary for herself titled ‘Living with Dying’ journal. She is outspoken and extroverted. In the dark, you are scared and shed tears for the people you loved. But, when you come into the light, you are the sunshine. This is Sakura for you.

And then there is this lead protagonist, classmate to sakura, an Introvert, and who spends more time reading books over friends. Sakura’s disease is not known to anyone except him. So just a classmate is now a secret known classmate to Sakura.

The flow of swaying conversations, light-hearted sense of humor, charismatic presence of the story in the anime form, life teachings is something the reason to watch this film.

Here are the few heart-crushing dialogues in the film.

1. It’s doesn’t matter what is right or what is wrong? It’s just what I believe. It’s a hobby for me to know what someone thinks about me.

2. It might have been fun to have a friend or two, but I believe the world of fiction is more fun than reality.

3. You are the only one who can give me reality and normalcy.

4. If I told you that I’m super scared of dying, what would you do?

5. It wasn’t a coincidence. Everyone is where they are because of the choices they’ve made. We both from the same class, not a coincidence either, and it’s wasn’t something like fate.

6. What does living mean to you(Sakura)? If you are alone, you can’t tell that you exist. Your relationship with others is what being defines as being alive. I know my mind exists Since I can interact with Others. I know my body exists because others touch me. That’s where the purpose of being alive comes from. Just like we’ve both chosen to live out this moment here and now.

7. When I am with others, my allure might come out.

Death can be lugubrious and mournful. But, what does being alive mean? Have you ever thought about this?

It’s a simple love story, but beyond that, there is the passage to unearth the answers or makes you glued to the screen for thought-provoking conversations.You eat the sweet, but you crave more, as the sweet melted soon before you want to enjoy the movement of melody. The melancholy mood, sudden frisson, heart-pounding conversations, emotive music all goes to the inflection point.

Yellowstone and Grand Teton Visit

We have many beautiful things in our world, it’s just that we need to have the love for the sight to experience the inner soul. In this radical fast running world, sometimes it’s good to leave the shackles of our chaotic life and live the simplified life close to the Nature. Nature is not complex than the Life frankly speaking. I invite you all to the beautiful Journey I had visiting Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. The journey wouldn’t come into the reality without the initiation sparkled from my good friends Pradeep and Gayatri and of course my wife, who backed me for the journey. We departed from Los Angeles to Jackson Hole town . The Journey is around 2 and half hours through flight. The clouds welcomed me giving me the hint that you are nearing to some Mother Nature creations on earth.

Day 1 (Grand Teton National Park)

A wise man (Wayne Newton) said you have to go through the Mountains and Valleys to understand the Life, that’s the Soul Growth. Mountains are the friends like books if purity of heart is desired. We started heading to Grand Teton National Park in the morning. As we have planned only 1 day for Grand Teton we have tried covering most of the places in park, and so the reason starting early is required.

We stopped at Jenny Lake Visitor Center. This is one of the most popular spot in Grand Teton National park. The parking is limited here, so as the Day goes towards noon the parking might be full, so it’s always recommended to come to this place early in the morning. From here we can either hike (around 4.5 miles total) to cascade canyon to visit the Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point or do boating via ferry. We have done boating in Jenny Lake to have the pristine water view and enjoy the serenity. This ferry leaves other side of Jenny Lake for every fifteen minutes. This saves 3 miles of walking trial. From here we hiked around 2 miles to view the Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. From Inspiration Point you can have the beautiful landscape of Jenny Lake and scenic nature. On our way back we hiked all the way back around 4 miles.

We later headed to Colter Bay, on our way we stopped near Jenny Dam. Snake River emerges from the dam and flows about 800 miles through Wyoming. Snake River is 1078 mile long, a major river in fact largest North American that empties into Pacific Ocean. Purpose of this dam is to provide water in Snake River Basin, Idaho. The maximum lake level raised to 30 ft. after the construction.

Colter Bay is the Village in Grand Teton most convenient for camping and boating. We just roamed and relaxed for sometime in the bay.

Coming back from colter bay towards Jackson Hole town again we stopped near the Oxbow bend. This is the incredible view and easy pull out from the road. This is the place we can spot the wild life as animals on the other side come here to drink the water. Unfortunately we didn’t spotted any wild life but spending some time here listening to birds chirping, calming waters and relaxing harmony feels you get when the gentle wind touches you. This is one of my favorite spot.

This is another spot usually tourist visit. This was a homestead earlier built by trapper John Cunningham in 1885. He and His wife grew around 240 acres to feed Horse and other cattle. By 1924 the ranch consists about 560 acres. In 1928, Cunningham’s left the valley for Idaho and later the ranch was acquired for the development of Grand Teton National Park.

The sunset in the Grand Teton’s is magnificent. The sun rays glittering from the mountains, splendid mountains that visible is something heart admires for artistic beauty. After the sunset we drove towards West Yellow Stone. We stayed near Island Park,Idaho in the beautiful home booked through Airbnb (Around 30 miles to West Entrance of Yellowstone, Montana)

Yellow Stone National park

Next morning we started to Yellow Stone National Park. As we are driving inside the park my curiosity of what I can see here became frisson of excitement. This very place millions years ago Super Volcanoes are discovered here and so this place known for a hot spot of caldera. The caldera in Yellow Stone is in almost constant motion. So we will be having many Geysers in Yellow Stone. By the way what are Geysers? They are hot springs that basically gush water and steam into the air. We have visited many geysers and hot springs throughout the park. The exploration and excitement started with world’s best known geyser Old Faithful Geyser. The name was given because of its frequent and predictable eruption. It usually erupts for every 1 hr. in average. This was the first geyser that given name in the Park. The average height is about 140 ft.

Later we began walking to Upper geyser basin a walk trial close to Old Faithful, we happen to see many hot springs, geysers, and fumaroles. Witnessing these bubbling, steamy, gurgling, bright color hot springs is a panoramic pleasures to our eyes. This is the Crested Pool 42 ft. Though it’s a spring sometimes it erupts as a Geyser.

Morning Glory

This is Morning Glory Hot Spring in upper geyser basin. This is the one of the beautiful hot spring that we saw in Upper Geyser Basin. The colors are formed due to bacteria. Millions visit the Yellowstone every year, the hot waters are reducing here due to clogging as tourist threw objects inside earlier, resulting to a sign that Morning glory is becoming faded glory due to vandalism and ignorance. So my dear friends, it’s in our hands to preserve the nature and protect the Mother earth, else there will be nothing for future generations to visualize the beauty of Nature.

Midway Geyser Basin

After visiting the Old Faithful and Upper Geyser we started to Midway Geyser basin. This Midway basin is smaller than other basins, but it has 2 largest geothermal features in Yellowstone, Grand Prismatic and Excelsior Geyser. Around 4000 Gallons /minute pours into Fire-hole River through Excelsior Geyser. Walking the trial in Midway Basin, one thing dominated here is the blue colored view of spectacular pool, The Sapphire pool .

The other best thing we felt a worth a visit to Midway Basin is Grand Prismatic Spring. This is the most photographed feature in the Yellow Stone. Taking a short hike around 1.5 mile hike to the top you get the most visualized scenic view experience watching this Prismatic view. As mentioned earlier the colors are formed due to bacteria called microbial mats that’s lying around the surface of hot spring. The biggest hot spring in US and 3^rd largest in the world, the colors reflect the Rainbow distribution.

This hot spring once used to be cool spring with magnificent colors (again due to bacteria called mats). But the earthquake in 1978-79 lead to destroy the bacteria and the waters are super heated by then. (You can watch the video to see Churning Cauldron under paint pots section)

Paint Pots/Mud Pots

We later went to Paint Pots before visiting Norris Geyser Basin. We had done a small hike to visit the Paint Pots. We discussed about the water gushing, bubbling but did we discussed about the stew form of mud? Paint Pots also called Mud pots are extremely hot. The bubbles you see here are formed by Steam and CO2 gases. The water it receives are either from Snow fall or Rain fall.

Visiting the Norris Geyser Basin in the evening is best thing happened to us as we have experienced amazing sunset here. This is the hottest and most changeable thermal area in Yellowstone. The boardwalk here, all you can see is beautiful Sky, many Steams gushing, different colors on the land and sounds of Nature. The sun going to hide away soon, the emptiness in the sky is filled with the steams.

There are some hiking trials here that you go down through steps, uneven road and paved path towards Back Basin. Always remember that being cautious and watching the steps is always required when watching the thermals and hot springs.

2^nd Day

On the 2^nd day of our trip in Yellowstone, we visited Mammoth hot springs and Lamar Valley. Almost half a day is finished visiting the Mammoth. Mammoth are another must visit feature in Yellowstone as the thermals here are different from the Geysers and other thermal places. The limestone being soft rock allows to make the rock formations due to acidic waters down under and cold from snow on the rock allowing to give the natural forms of these mammoth.Having lunch in the Nature is always amazing. Small water creek on one side and trees on other side, it’s amazing to enjoy the food.

Does the Mountains Speaks to us? Well if are a Nature lover you would say, yes. The Mountains in Yellowstone hisses. Because of multiple fumaroles on the slope back in 1900’s the roar was so loud enough and so the name Roaring Mountain.

Lamar Valley

Later we headed to Lamar Valley, this is the place you can see as many as Bison’s. Yellow Stone is the only place in the US where Bison’s are lived from Prehistoric times. The nation’s largest population of Bison’s live in Yellowstone and they are allowed to roam freely. The large number of Bison’s can be seen either in Hayden valley or Lamar valley.

I always enjoy watching the sunset. In the vast area of open grounds in the Valley, enjoyed the sunset while driving back to our Airbnb rental place. That night we enjoyed our amazing dinner at the local most popular Pizza place in West Yellowstone, the Wild West Pizzeria. The owner politely came to our table for the feedback and I am quite confident to say the Pizza we ate was heavenly.

3^rd day

On our last day of our trip in Yellowstone Park, we visited this beautiful tiny place Museum of National Park ranger. The staff is friendly and informative to give us the history of park rangers in Yellow stone. Sometimes Paintings give the mood of thought. I loved this canvas in the museum, the mood tells how lovely and friendly the Park rangers are. Looking into the painting I felt she is not the Queen, but for all the lovely children she is the Queen.

Later we drove to Canyon village to visit Yellow Stone falls. The 2 major falls in Yellowstone are lower and upper falls, we couldn’t go to Upper falls as the trial to Upper Falls was closed but the falls can be visible while going to Lower Yellowstone. The hike all the way down to Lower falls is worth to look at the majestic water fall. The falls are 300 ft., nearly twice as Niagara Falls.We stopped at Artist Paint View point to watch the lower water falls again. The Canyons on the both side and glance of falls in the front, what to say but the visual is artistic. Looking over these canyons here the inner feeling is they are Grand Canyon of Yellow Stone.

The final stop for us in Yellowstone is West Thumb geyser basin located in shores of Yellowstone Lake. The largest thermal feature along the lake it has many features underneath. Many gallons of hot water pour into lake every day. The hot waters under can melt the ice over the surface. Though the excitement in us watching these amazing picturesque feature not going away, there is a slight mood of sadness we felt as we are leaving the Yellow stone soon. But it’s never a good bye again there will be always tomorrow.

By evening we came back to the Jackson town again, as there was still some day light in the sky we got opportunity to stroll around the streets in the Jackson. The feel of beautiful arts around and aesthetic lifestyle, this beautiful western town reflects the expression of poetry and to get the inspiration in you. The arts and crafts on the walls and buildings, food, music, gallerias nothing beats looking around under the orange sky. You will be living in halcyon days surrounded by Nature, Arts and tranquility if you visit this beautiful town Jackson-hole. Enjoy some beautiful snaps of this wonderful town below.

The only place we get Indian food in Jackson(Wyoming). More than Indian I liked the Drunken Noodles here in this Asian fusion restaurant called Teton Tiger. The Samosas we ordered are the best I had in US which in fact have the closer taste of actual authentic samosa in India. Uber cool dining place with the game I liked Cricket things on the wall decor. I enjoyed the food here but the other side, bit expensive.Next morning we had early flight back to LA, while flying back I am lost in thoughts wandering in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National parks.

అద్దం లో చూసుకుంటూ , మీసాలను సరి చేసుకొని , టేబుల్ పైన ఉన్న కళ్ళజోళ్ళని తీసుకొని తెల్లటి వస్త్రం తో తుడిచి కళ్ళజోళ్ళని పెట్టుకున్నాడు , పక్కన ఉన్న వాకింగ్ స్టిక్ పట్టుకొని బయట వరండా కి వచ్చాడు సూర్యం. తన వాకింగ్ షూస్ ఎక్కడ ఉన్నాయి అని అటు ఇటు నేలపై చూసాడు . ఎక్కడ కనపడలేదు .

అమ్మ కావేరి , నా వాకింగ్ షూస్ ఎక్కడ ఉన్నాయి? అని అడిగాడు సూర్యం .

తెలీదు నాన్న , అక్కడే ఎక్కడో ఉంటాయి చుడండి అని ఇంటి లోపల నుండి మాటలు వినిపించాయి సూర్యానికి .

ప్రొదున్న ఇక్కడే విడిచాను కదా ..ఎక్కడికి పోయాయి అని నేల పై చూస్తూ దీర్ఘంగా ఆలోచిస్తున్నాడు సూర్యం

నాకు తెలుసు తాత ,,ఇదిగో నీ కోసమే కొత్తవి తెచ్చాను అంటూ ఇచ్చాడు .

ఇప్పుడు కొత్తవి ఎందుకు రా , పాతవి బాగానే ఉన్నవి కదా ..అనవసరమైన ఖర్చు ?

అబ్బా మీరు ఎం మాట్లాడకండి , ముందు కుర్చీ మీద కూర్చోండి అంటూ , కాళ్ళకి తొడిగాడు తన మనవడు.

మనవడు పేరు చెప్పలేదు కదా ..పేరు శౌర్య, సూర్యానికి శౌర్య అంటే చాలా ఇష్టం. శౌర్య కి కూడా అంతే ఇష్టం. శౌర్య కి ఇప్పుడు 24 ఏళ్ళు . సూర్యం తాత వయసు 75 . సూర్యానికి రోజు సాయంత్రం ఇంటి దగ్గర్లో ఉన్న పార్క్ కి వెళ్లడం ఇష్టం. చల్లటి గాలి, నిశ్శబ్దం , పక్షుల రాగాలు , అలా నేచర్ కి దెగ్గరగా నడవడం సూర్యం రోజు చేసే పని. సుమారు 15 సంవత్సరాలు అయ్యాయి సూర్యం తెలుగు టీచరుగా రిటైర్ అయ్యి . చిన్నప్పటి నుండి శౌర్య ని పార్క్ కి సాయంత్రం తీసుకెళ్లడం సూర్యానికి అలవాటు ..ఆ అలవాటే ఇప్పుడు రోజు దినచర్య అయ్యింది.

శౌర్య తో కబుర్లు చెప్పడం , మాట్లాడడం చాల ఇష్టం సూర్యానికి. శౌర్య అడిగిన ప్రశ్నలకు సందేహాలను తీరుస్తూ, తన చిన్న నాటి విషయాలు , జీవిత పాఠాలు , తాను చదివిన పుస్తకాల గురించి , శౌర్య కాలేజీ విషయాలు , current affaris ఇలా అన్ని విషయాలు మాట్లాడుకుంటారు.

అన్ని విషయాల్లో సూర్యం సంతోషంగా ఉన్న , ఒకే ఒక విషయం లో వెలితి. చిన్నప్పుడు తన నాన్న తనకు ఇచ్చిన 2000 పేజీల పుస్తకం ఇంకా చదవలేదు అనే బాధ . ఆ పుస్తకానికి పేరు లేదు. రోజు పడుకునే ముందు ట్రంకు పెట్టె లో ఉన్న ఈ పుస్తకాన్ని చూసి ఒక kind అఫ్ రిగ్రెట్ తో తెల్లగా ఉండే ఆకాశం ల పుస్తకాన్ని చూస్తూ, ఎగసి పడే తెల్లటి అలలు తన పై వస్తున్నట్టు అనిపిస్తూ ఉండేది . వెంటనే ట్రంకు పెట్టని క్లోజ్ చేసి నిద్ర లోకి వెళ్ళేవాడు సూర్యం . బహుశా అందుకే ఏమో పుస్తకం చదవాలని ఉన్న చదవలేక పోతున్నాడు.

ఒక రోజు తాత ఆరోగ్యం బాగా లేదు

షుగర్ లెవెల్స్ తక్కువ అయ్యాయి . తనకి బెడ్ రెస్ట్ కావాలి అని డాక్టర్ చెప్పింది.

ఎందుకు రా మనవడా ఆ ఏడుపు

నిన్ను ఇలా చూస్తే నా కన్నీళ్లు ఆగట్లేదు తాత

అంటే నేను పోతాను అని డిసైడ్ అయిపోయావ్ అన్నమాట

తాత, అవేం మాటలు (అంటూ మంచం పై కూర్చొని , తాత చెయ్యి పట్టుకున్నాడు )

(వాళ్లిద్దరూ సరదాగా నవ్వుకుంటూ మాట్లాడుకోవడడం చూసి శౌర్య అమ్మ నాన్న చూసి హ్యాపీ ఫీల్ అవుతారు)

రోజులు గడిచే కొద్దీ సూర్యం ఆరోగ్యం క్షణించింది. ఒక రోజు తన మనవడు షోర్య కి తాను చదవలేక పోయిన పుస్తకం గురించి చెప్పాడు.

ఒరే మనవడా ! ఇది మా నాన్న నాకు ఎంతో ఇష్టం తో ఇచ్చాడు రా . ఇప్పటికి ఈ పుస్తకం గురించి ఎవ్వఁరికి చెప్పలేదు . ఇది నేను చదవకపోయినా , ఇది మనసు కు నచ్చే స్నేహితుడు . ఎంత ఇష్టపడిన , అంతే భయం ఉండేది నా గుండెల్లో ఈ పుస్తకం చూసినప్పుడు . ఎందుకో నాకు అర్ధం కాదు ..బహుశా ఎప్పుడో ఇచ్చిన పుస్తకం ఇన్ని years చదవలేదు అని ప్రాశ్యతాపం వల్ల కావచ్చు. ఈ పుస్తకం చదవలేదు అనే అసంతృప్తి ఇంకా నాలో ఉంది . నా లోని తెలియని భయం వల్ల చదవలేకపోయాను . ఇదిగో , ఈ పుస్తకం నీకు ఇస్తున్నాను . నేను ఎలా అయినా చదవలేదు , కనీసం నువ్వు చదువు రా .

కొన్ని రోజుల తరువాత సూర్యం తాత ..ఈ లోకం విడిచి వెళ్ళిపోయాడు

(2 సంవత్సరాల తరువాత)

ఒకరోజు శోర్యకి తన తాత చెప్పిన పుస్తకం గురించి గుర్తు వచ్చింది. వెంటనే తాతయ్య ఇచ్చిన ఆ పేరు లేని పుస్తకాన్ని తాత తో వెళ్లే పార్క్ కి వెళ్లి చదవడం ప్రారంభించాడు. చదువుతున్న కొద్దీ శౌర్య కళ్ళలో ఆనందం , తెలియని ఉద్వేగం...

2nd రోజు సాయంత్రం ఇంటి దాబా పై పుస్తకం చదవడం అయిపోయింది. శౌర్య కళ్ళలో ఆనంద బాష్పాలు.

ఆకాశం నారింజ రంగులోకి మారుతున్నది... శౌర్య ఆకాశం వైపు చూస్తూ (తన మనసులో తాత తో మాట్లాడుతున్నాడు )

నీకు ఈ పుస్తకం చదవాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు తాత. నువ్వు చిన్నప్పటి నుండి నాకు చెప్పిన జీవిత విశేషాలు , మీ అమ్మ నాన్న తో కలిసిన మధుర క్షణాలు , నువ్వు రోజు పార్క్ లో నాకు చెప్పిన విషయాలు చాలా ఇందులో ఉన్నాయి తాత. నువ్వు అసంతృప్తి పడాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు . నువ్వ ఆల్రెడీ జీవితాన్ని చదివేసావ్ తాత .. అంటూ దాబా పై పడుకొని ఆకాశాన్ని చూస్తూ ఆనందం గ చిరునవ్వు చిందిస్తున్నాడు.(This is similar to the scene Ryan Gosling smiles after he made the Harrison Ford to meet to his daughter in Blade Runner 2049 in climax)

ఎం ఓయ్ శౌర్య ..నువ్వు ఇక్కడ ఉన్నావా (తనూజ ).రెండు రోజులు నుండి చూస్తున్న ..ఈ పుస్తకాన్నే చదువుతున్నావ్ ..ఆ పుస్తకం పేరు ఏంటి ?

సర్లే చీకటి పడే ల ఉంది ... లోపాలకి వచ్చెయ్యండి .

నువ్వు వెళ్ళు .. కాసేపట్లో వస్తాను.

శౌర్య కొంచెం చిరుహాసం చేస్తూ ఆకాశాన్ని చూస్తూ ఉండిపోయాడు.

some THOUGHTS after watching - Chi La Sow

When was the list time you watched the strong woman character portrayal in Telugu movie? May be Chithra character in Pelli Choopulu(2016 release) , Deva Sena /Sivagami character in Bahubali 2 (2017)? Here comes in 2018 that kind of Independent, strong girl character played by debutant Ruhani Sharma in Chi La Sow. Not to forget the Andala Rakshasi fame Rahul Ravindran is debutant as well as Director. The story whirls around the two different juxtaposed characters, Arjun( Sushant) and Anjali( Ruhani). The Lead role Arjun(Sushant) tastes the scenarios bachelor hood face from parents indeed from the society of getting married soon before 30 else the graph of marriage proposals goes down. On the other hand, Anjali (Ruhani) needs to get married soon (Though she do not want to) due to complications in her life. The happiness and smile acted as a camouflage but lot of emotions and sentiments hidden back from the character of Anjali. There are instances in the film you laugh because of serious laugh riots from Vennela Kishore.

For some time, let us come out from the Movie discussion. Does the relationships and marriage really give the perspective of life learning for happy movements? May be, but things change a lot from Pre Marriage and Post marriage for everyone. I do not know how and where the phrase get married soon once you are settled actually started. For boy and girl the freedom fades away and need to bow to the sick society especially girls in the name of restrictions and pseudo norms. Come on, you have to agree this. I have read many stories and heard the people speak in sorrow of their life incidents. Imagine a child (she) wants to plant a tree in her home, so to plant a tree child ploughs the land, cover the seeds and gently water daily. As the child grow, the tree grows and the child have the smile to appreciate the nature of her living and freedom of enjoying soul. As days passed at some other place, child have to plant the tree again. However, things change here. You do not need to water to grow the tree. The freedom of expression was hiding and tree has to bow to the characteristics of surrounding atmosphere. The tree grows on its own. I know I am harsh here but sorry my heart would not stop me to write the heartening and painful reality. Please bear in mind not just girls but boys have the issues too. He has to float other boat to make someone happy. Now remember these points, we will come back on this later.

Chi La Sow, the title of the film gives many interpretations of what the story might be. Whenever marriage topic is raised, Arjun(Hero) speaks in frustration , as he does not want to get married soon. The hero has his dreams and passion to enjoy the freedom of his life before getting married. When Arjun tells his to do things in his life before the wedlock, it prompts and sparks us of what we thought of doing? Do we have certain interests or passion to do or tour the world? We might be. So keep awake of your dreams. Then we have another interesting character Anjali. Anjali is a jubilant and whimsical soul yet throws fake smile outwards (to cover the sadness and unhappiness). The fake smile I am referring here is not actually a fake smile to the viewers. In this context, the smile is brighter outside but lighter inside. For her this is a fake smile as she has much agony and pain in the heart. The Characters of Chithra from Pellichoopulu and Anjali in Chi La Sow have two things in common. Both the movies are about Marriage and they show the tone of strong and Independent characteristics of women. Sometimes Anjali is a confused soul. The complexities surrounded as a wall so the love for Arjun does not get out easily for her. Such a strong and impactful role Anjali has which is not an easy role to depict.

Arjun’s Mother (Played by Anu hasan garu) has the worries as every other Mother will have about getting their child married. She has the humor tone of doing the things differently. The parents go out for dinner for the boy and girl to meet and to have a private conversation. Two important factors here are the Arjun’s Parents enjoying the dinner and husband and wife talk (imagination as a viewer) and giving the ability and freedom for Arjun and Anjali to have a private space of discussion. One particular scene where Anu hasan garu reads a book on the dining table gives the expression of my own world spending my time. By the way, do you know the book she was reading? It was the Last Queen of India by Michelle Moran.

Bringing the Mental health aspects to the story will be challenging for the filmmaker. Rahul Ravindran did his best to get the details right and hit the focus being his first time as filmmaker. Anjali’s mother (Played by Rohini garu) gave the glimpse of 2 phases of life both Happy and Sad turbulences. On the same balcony when there was lot of chaos and sobbing with heartening movements and later the scene where Arjun having good laughing conversations with mother-in-law tells something to rejuvenate from brittle things.

Now let us come back to the discussion I told you to remember earlier. Do you think all the things go as expected? No, if that was the case why do we have Life so complicated? Actually, Life can be Beautiful, merry and cheerful but it is just that we are making things complicated. The freedom of expression, the lighthearted talk, filling the gaps with love and affection, turning the turbulences and ripples to laughable movements and that is what I have experienced in this movie. Now you might have understand why I asked to remember the points earlier. If you compare how we are living the heck of life and how beautiful the Life will be if it is other way, lot of things go from complex to simple Life. Anjali is pure and simple. In one scene, we see some sweet talk between Anjali and her grandmother about relationships. Ok this film attempts to demystify the complex behavior. What more I need to say? Now let me listen to this beautiful song composed by Prashanth Vihari.

Patience is virtue

When the circumstances cross the limits, when the news channels/media broadcast the monomania shows to get into the hysteria , when we look the YouTube videos all highlighted with junk thumbnails (to urge and tempt users to click the videos) by thirsty money-grubbing persons, Do you think we can keep calm and go on with our life? When the leaders promise the voters and speak of development to the country, but still the promises adhere to falsehood (From years) , when the people confused of what is right and what is wrong in terms of facts and ultimately feel the facts as ostensible(In a perception that the fact is actually Right, but comes out to be false) then how can the patience can be virtue?

World seems to behave as a cruel monster compared to what it used to be earlier (actually same). Today we are living and leading the life in a way that advancing in Technology to more advanced and speaking/experimenting of life survival in other planets (Mars) but looks like our humanity is diminishing. Rather than speaking about the reality or focusing on the right aspects, the human (esp. Media) making the minds to connect to tawdry shows and unrealistic events. With plethora of TV channels today, I am feeling loathe about ourselves. Wish I got back those days where we used to watch only one channel (Doordarshan).

Coming to the smart phone days that we are living today, how good it may be in receiving the valuable news and updates in faster way, but at the same time, we are receiving the junk. There is a thin line between comedies vs. humor. However, people are mixing up all things. For example if you receive any video from someone, which they consider it as a funny, but when you play the video, actually you do not find it funny. I mean you feel it as a funny one but actually the real story is it is kind of prank video to fool the people depicting as humor. Again, this is to grab attention to the users. Actually, viewers are taking comedy as humor and the later as comedy. This is not just relating to the fun context but other things too. Share or like to get the blessings from God, really? The fake smiles, fake content, feigned blessings hmm and goes on.

Here comes another type of wickedness of the evil-minded people to sell the education. The best gift anyone can give to others is wisdom/knowledge. Pity is that education has changed to materialistic from eternal. The private schools are charging the fees beyond our imagination. For a first grade student the fee is ~ 1- 1.5 lakhs (100 thousand), what? Does first standard kid needs to learn the rocket science? The foolish answers from these corporate thugs when asked about the reason for this huge fee is that they talk about classes equipped with high-class fiber Internet, Air-conditioning, Science labs, Artificial Intelligence etc.

Recently, I saw a picture from a parent posting in Instagram regarding his/her child posing in graduate dress (along with other kids) with a note saying successfully graduated to next grade(may be 1^st or 2^nd grade) and congratulations flooding in the comments. I can understand parent love towards their child but seriously graduate in 1^st or 2^nd grade? Tomorrow if the same child becomes actual graduate or post – graduate does the child really feel the happiness of what s/he achieved? My impression is that the word graduate becomes cheap/downgraded L. Capturing the photograph of all the kids with graduation dress is what the school is charging high fee? Education should grounded that is when the success/achievements fly high tomorrow. (For those people who didn’t watched, please watch the movie Hindi Medium which shows the plight of our current education system)

After watching the movie Bharat Ane Nenu, I felt of writing my thoughts that’s been pondering for a while. This movie from Siva koratala much needed based on cacophony events happening in our society today. The events addressed sharply and that particular scene I liked when Mahesh Babu ripped off the specific Media targeting the TRP’s rather than focusing on actual social causes. The despair and anguish of a common person is clearly superior over the cunning smiles of crooked, filthy, greedy persons. The blood is bubbling with anger all these days watching the pandemonium (chaos) of events and I hope after watching the Bharat Ane Nenu people realized of what’s actually going on and broke the barricades of their anger over this ruthless society. Am I daydreaming, may be?

అదండీ విషయం. కొందరు మనుషులు మంచోళ్ళు కాదు కదండీ? లేకుంటే పచ్చగా ఉండే ఊర్లో కష్టాలు, కన్నీళ్లు ,బాధలు ఎందుకు పుట్టుక వస్తాయి? మనలో మన మాట , ఊర్లోనే కాదు కానీ ఈ మనుషుల వల్ల cities ఇంకో ఒక ఎత్తుకు వెళితే country , ఇంకా చెప్పాలి అంటే అస్సలు ప్రపంచం బాగు పడట్లేదు. ఎక్కడ చుసిన గొడవలు, స్వార్ధ రాజకీయాలు. ఇంకా ఎక్కడ అండి బ్రతుకేది?

Cinemalo mana kathanayakudu Ram Charam peru chitti babu , partially impaired anduke oorlo andaru mudduga Sound engineer ani pilustharu(meeku teluse untundi lendi trailer lo chusesinattu unnaru). Oorilo panchayati vyavaharalu mamolga undavu kadhandi ..rajakeeyale simple ga cheppalante this is revenge story well-crafted by the Director Sukumar with brilliance in movie making. Cinematography from Rathnavelu is scenic to the eyes to capture the landscape beauty of the village.

What went in his mind when Ram Charan performed the character as Chittibabu? Abba ee question chala common ga anipistundi kadhandi? Mr.Charan assalu ela chesav babu aa character? Dude you were so involved in the character. To be precise immaculate performance from Charan. This is Ram Charan’s the best till date. Ram Charan look, full beard toh completely different ga unnadu and so Samatha as never before as a Village girl. Samantha as Ramalakshmi is magnificent. The sweet talk between Ram Charan and Samantha is like chalam sahityam talking to Krishna Shastri Sahityam. Aadi Pinishetty as Kumar Babu Brother of chitti babu gave the shine to the character. The loving brother duo are friendly and emotions are high. Anasuya as Rangamathha shined in a memorable performance in her career. There are few scenes where I yelled and shouted because the acting from Ram charan brought the whistles and tears from audience. Though it’s almost 3 hour long movie, I didn’t felt bored anywhere because of gripping screenplay from Sukumar. I felt the exuberance act from Ram Charan, riveting film from Sukumar reflected me clap more after the film specially Ram Charan Tej.

Talking or writing about Baahubali, I can be for hour’s discussion about this movie. For some reason my liking for the Baahubali2 is beyond of what I can let you know. Might be some nerve wrecking breath taking scenes and some goosebumps(Epic Interval Scene from 1:18:20 Seconds) effect made me to this Baahubalian fan. Other than Telugu when other versions of Baahubali released in Netflix earlier I didn’t hesitated to watch. I did watch (fast forwarding in Hindi and Malayalam) and watching in Tamil (Because of closure dubbing version to Telugu and other reasons Ramya Krishna(Sivagami) Original Voice and same with Kattappa ) . But my happiness can be reached to the core only if I want to watch in Original Telugu version to get the feeling of locality. Finally the wait is over for me to watch in TV and Diwali Dhamaka is announced by makers of Baahubali. They released the Baahubali2 in 4K with subtitles in Youtube(What can be more happier and merrier news for the Baahubali admirers) . This is indeed a great joyful news for me to watch in the TV (With the Volume high). The OST of Baahubali is always haunting and surely credit goes to M.M Keeravani for such outstanding BGM. Not in terms of Epic or high budget movie there are many things to learn from this movie for a movie making learning. The Screenplay for instance or the characters turning around. Ok still there are lot of things for me to do for the Baahubali (to tell a few coming up things)

Thinking of series of events happening in different context in this world I couldn’t stop myself to write my thoughts of what so called the sophistication of this society.

To say a few about the events I want to discuss here

The 3rd ODI Cricket of India vs. Sri Lanka – This is not the first time we saw the crowd bringing disturbance to match by throwing bottles in the ground to show anger. The coward and jealous acts when their team losing and opponent winning. We Indians may flung our anger on Sri Lankan fans because of their behavior. We might yank and howl on them for their kind of acts. But go back to 1996 Cricket world cup incident? Why? Because this same kind of incident happened (The very first incident I remember as a kid) and the only difference is Indian fans outburst their anger.

So what did we learn here? Stop complaining of others before we think of ourselves. Oh come on! Do you still feel this change going to happen coming days?

The God man superior over the Judicial Laws.

Yes that’s true. We talk and feel proud of our Culture, Food and festivity when we bring our Country in discussion to unknowns. If you are rich and affluent you can be the bloody God man. You can do the moral corruption, debauchery whatever you want (Also Rape). These God man are not worried /fear of coming factors. They are viperous and charismatic. All they do is do some good help to the mankind (Sorry actually to his followers) and this nitwit God man followers are ready to damage the society (To make sure their Godman doesn’t get charged). OH yeah, they are ready to sacrifice their lives for their guru. We are so greatly educated.

What did we learn? Doesn’t matter if we are educated, education is not important at all, so from where does the enlightenment come?

Here comes another kind of lunatics. They are so obsessed of worshiping the superstars. Doesn’t care if these so called superstar ram the roads and smashed the innocents. They can hit or slam/slap their fans. They rattle and ricochet bringing the being Human back and charismatic in Cinema. But this doesn’t matter to our blind followed fan nature even though the film stars are arrogant and egoistic.

What’s the take here? Stop following the stars with much obsession. Else this arrogance and egoistic continues. Do you think we change?

See the problem with us is that we want to bring the Change. But change doesn’t being effective until if we are open minded and our spunk to bring the truth is glorified.

Well Well Well what a Fidaa!
When Telugu Cinema is wobbling sometimes with routine formula, Fidaa type of movie comes (Like Nenu Unna Naynamma (Dialogue from Indra movie) to show other perspective of movie making in Telugu Cinema (In Very recent times something refreshing is NinnuKori and Now Fidaa)
The Character’s in #SekharKammula movies are always sharp (esp. Powerful Womanly) was Roopa (From Anand), Seetha (From Godavari) and now Bhanumati from Fidaa. Looks like Shekar Kammula has the PHD in learning the mind of the women . Fidaa is truly a welcome back billboard to Shekar Kammula. People are waiting/dying for Shekar Kammula’s Anand,Godavari type of flick and now I hope people are relieved of the back to form of Shekar Kammula.

There might be a myth that #Telangana movies are all about revolt related, I hope the myth is clarified now through this movie. The Telangana dialect indeed may be humorous but it’s part of the culture. For a non-speaking girl like Sai pallavi, the guts of your own dubbing as a Telangana girl will be glorified in two Telugu speaking states now. The malar might be vanished and they might be remember you as the Bhanumati.

I might be more selfish here to show more flatter to this movie because of the lush greenery and picturesque shoot of the place Banswada( Part of my hometown district earlier, now part of Kamareddy district).

The Sun rays falls on you, the birds sing the song, the Morning shines! That’s when the music is harmony to the soul. The one of the pillar strength for this movie is Music. You have done a fabulous job giving such a refreshing soulful tracks bro Shakthi Kanth Karthick . Might be oosupodu is most of favorite track to many but for me Hey Mister is the favorite track. I find inspiration in that song.

Both Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi succeeded in the doing the great performances but to be frankly speaking Sai Pallavi has more leading. Special thanks to Dilraju and Sekhar Kammula for shooting in #Telangana esp. #Banswada #Nizamabad

When you say it has different Flavor which means the taste is good, Fidaa is of that kind of flavor to be more precise

Many of you might knew that the Part 1 of the Bahubali the Beginning is a grand success throughout the world and also when the movie is connected to your soul, so it’s casual like every other movie freak for that Eagerly waiting movements to watch for part 2, Bahubali The Conclusion. It’s been a wait from 2 years to watch the sequel of the Bahubali Series from the Visionary director S.S Rajamouli. Within these 2 years (Post Release of Part 1 Bahubali the Beginning) there was much happened in the Bahubali world. Whatever news you Watch or Read about Bahubali is either excitement or the delighted movements. Whether it’s regarding the Movie going rounds internationally in Movie festivals, Prequel of Part 1 released as a book titled The Rise of Sivagami, THE VR experience, entering into Comic World as Bahubali:The Lost legend or Interesting news about the VFX, Art and camera etc. I was expressive/excited when I told about this movie to my fellow colleagues (Non-Indians) after watching part 1 and before release of the Part 2. Why shouldn’t I? When you knew this is a pride to Indian Cinema besides India’s Biggest Motion picture and also this fictional periodic drama is closure enough to compete the Hollywood type of movie.

When the Audio (of Part 2) launched a month ago, the excitement went bit higher (You knew movie is going to release soon). Whenever I got a chance to listen to music its Bahubali every time. After the theatrical trailer of Part 2, I was spell bounded. I almost watched ~ 50 times (In all Indian released languages) with in 2 days of the release. Before 1 week of the release the craze was beyond than what was already hidden and it’s like a festive week. Whatever you read, heard and shared is all about the Bahubali The Conclusion. The thoughts keep welling to write something about this movie before the release and so identified My 10 reasons for Why Part 2 of Bahubali is a Must Watch. Finally, day before the release its half sleep movement(I know this should happen to the film makers, but for me this is not of worried syndrome but the joy of going to watch). In order to not to get the reveal factor of #WKKB I made sure to mute all the active what’s App groups (Muted for 8 hours) and at last the wait to watch the Bahubali came to an end now.

Post Effects

Watching Bahubali 2 on the big screen (IMAX) is the joy to my heart movements I felt for Telugu Cinema. Part 1 is all about introducing the characters and now the part 2 is to get immense into the story. The nice way of storytelling process with visionary scenic experience makes you to glue towards screen. After watching the movie I went into the meditative state to identify what I like most in the movie but hard to find out what’s good vs. what bad after all the good won over the bad(ignoring the few). My expectations were way off what I thought of how Kuntala Kingdom looks like (Before the release) vs. what visualized in the movie. It’s like you are listening to the lullaby looking into the beautification of the Kingdom. The icing of cake to this is that background music you get absorbed when Kuntala kingdom is introduced. There were other instants of BGM from M.M keeravani which knocked my heart to feel that movements.

I do experienced many goose bumps effects throughout the movie. The vibrant is so high it hits you instantly. There is one scene I liked relating the embracing movements of Prabhas(Amerendra Bahubali) and Anushka(DevaSena). Devasena tries to get into the boat and Amerendra Bahubali acts as a bridge through his shoulders to get her into the boat (Not much explained now). Thinking of that scene it looks so normal but when you get to that mood, it’s situational and interesting. This simple scene defines me what kind of sheer brilliance Rajamouli has to convert the normal scene to an extraordinary one. I was not disappointed anywhere in terms of VFX, CGI, Cinematography, Music, Production Values, Costumes etc. All the 10 reasons I had for Why Bahubali The Conclusionis a Must Watch didn’t failed. This is what I like in S.S Rajamouli movie, everything is a refined process to make the action of that work glorifying by respective heads of that department.

Prabhas as Amerendra Bahubali/Mahendra bahbuali is a role he can remember for many future years. The royalty of character has more inclination to the subject. Anushka as Devasena has a head to head supremacy with Ramya Krishna as Sivagami. The powerful women characters are evolved and the performance is stellar. Daggubati Rana as antagonist is not just to ground but core to heights. The bad man character has all that feelings needed for the power of supremacy in kingdom. Naseer as Bijjaladeva mesmerized in his performance. His role reminds us to remember the Shakuni. Satya Raj as Kattappa as usual acted with guts and perfectness to the character he portrayed. The other interesting character that was introduced in Part 2 is of Subbaraju as Kumara Varma.

Why Katappa Killed Bahubali is finally revealed(Phew), but we have more than this WKKB curiosity in the movie. The adventurous trip you experience dreaming into the ride to Mahishmati and Kuntala kingdoms is interestingly can't be explained factors for me until you watch it.

S.S Rajamouli proved his dream come true for this bahubalian years (For me 5 is Bahubalian years😂fictionally) project. It’s hard to isolate his vision and storytelling process. What more does he need now other than a good sleep to realize that he has made a good movie and what more I need now other than good sleep as well(Oh no..It’s already 2 AM now) having that sense of satisfaction that this movie is pride to Indian cinema.

10 Reasons Why Bahubali The Conclusion Should be a Must Watch

When the Bahubali Part 1 The Beginning got released the movie won accolades internationally. It was a Hype in Telugu Cinema and Hope in other languages before the release. But, after the release the Hope and Hype became the History as you all know. Its more of eager to watch for many viewers for part 2 of the Bahubali series. The wait is finally going to over as the Conclusion is slated to release worldwide on April 28, 2017.

So here are the 10 reasons I feel why the Part 2 Bahubali The Conclusion should be a must watch.

1. Bahubalian Years, An Inspiration to know about.

Not just the Captain of the Ship (The Director S.S Rajamoulii) but the whole family devoted their time and worked for Bahubali from past 5 years. Wait, are you saying freaking 5 years journey for this movie? Yes of course

2. Define the term Dedication?

The quality of being dedicated or committed to a task or purpose. Synonyms – Commitment, Zeal, Enthusiasm, Diligence etc. Now the noun Prabhas can be the synonym to Dedication. The reason is simple, for the past 5 years the lead actor in Bahubali (As Bahubali) Prabhas didn’t acted in any of the other movies and the sole purpose is dedication to this yagna. Wait, He didn’t acted/signed in any other movie for Bahubali sake? Dude you got to be kidding right? No, I am not

3. Art brings beauty to the scene

Art has no form. In the Bahubali part 1 we did see the architecture of Mahishmathi Kingdom and glimpse of Kunthala Kingdom (Devasena).It’s interesting to see now how Art Director (Sabu Cyril) shows the architecture style of Mahishmati as well as Kunthala kingdom as there will be more emphasis on these kingdoms in the conclusion and both should be unique in own style. Bang on!

4. Madness of Music

M.M Keeravani music is always a melodious harmony. During the first part of Bahubali the audio review started with negative effect but became a tremendous hit later. The music is just not music, it’s more of situational and goes along with the story and so the BGM too. Did you remember the background music in the Part 1? Especially that particular scene where Bahubali helps the flock of people while lifting the heavy statue of Bhallaladeva. Instant goosebumps for that BGM(Listen the BGM below).

When the movie is about mythology you tend to see the recitations of Hymns and at some instants you will also able to identify the idyllic phrases in the songs.

The Music is not just cacophony but insane. I am so eagerly waiting to listen the BGM chords in part 2. Don’t you?

5. Prequel book released for this fictional movie

Have you heard of a fictional book released after the release of the movie? At least I didn’t heard of this kind of scenario in Indian Cinema. Pitching the character of Sivagami by Ramya Krishna itself was a great sense of pride to her. The dynamics of her character speaks about her character in the Part 1of Bahubalii. But, when the Book in the name of The Rise of Sivagami is released on her, what more pride she can felt? The infinite pride movements? Noted Author (Claim to fame for his books Asura – The tale of vanquished, Ajaya – Roll of Dice, Ajaya - The Rise of Kali) is author for this book and the book is on the bestsellers stack.

6. One of the biggest motion Picture

During the release of the Bahubali part 1 this is the biggest motion picture in India. When you look at the combination of part 1 and part 2 this one is the expensive movie made in India. Whopping of ~450 Crores were spent to make this Movie (200 crores for Bahubali part 1(The Beginning) and 250 crores for Bahubali part 2(The Conclusion). You sure expect the high in production values and magnificent sets for such kind of expensive file.

7. The Visual Effects (VFX) man

When you are making such a periodic drama, there is no escape for you from Visual Effects. Some of the live action shots are manipulated to achieve the scope of the image with greater visualization. The best part sometimes is that you don’t even know which part of the scene is VFX and even though if you identify the scene to be VFX still the praise not goes down when such kind of grandeur film is made. Around 36 VFX studios throughout the world took part in the VFX processing’s. Almost 2226 shots were part of VFX related according to VFX Supervisor KamalKannan. Around 1000 technicians worked hard for 18 months on VFX. The Cinematography (From Senthil Kumar) is on par with VFX. Seriously, my anticipation factor is high here to see how the VFX part looks.

8. War Sequences of Course!

We discussed about the VFX, Art, expensive film etc. Being said that this is also a fictional mythological drama, so you expect something more dynamic and thundering. Also the 45 minute war sequence in the Bahubali part 1 was spell bounding and impressive from the director S.S Rajamouli. You will have that looking forward and expectation enigma to find out how the war sequences in part 2 will look like.

9. Most favorite question

This seems to most favorite question for many. Why did Katappa Killed Bahubali? Whether you are in Classroom/Market/Salon/Office or even in political meetings this WHY about Kattapa killed Bahubali raised many times. We can get the answer in the Conclusion. No Bahubali 3 Please.

10. What more reason do you want if you are a movie freak?

When you already knew that the Bahubali Beginning is a major success in box office and also Part 1 does connected to your heart, when the movie of such grandeur Bahubali – The conclusion is releasing after 2 years and being cinematic lover what more reason do you want to watch this film? With 5 more days to go for the release, this movie already cogitated me from past month (after the theatrical trailer release) with keen interest to watch.

Watching Test Cricket

Does the new format of Cricket (Twenty 20), Technology and New generation affecting Test Cricket? Yes, the impact of these generation gaps and trends are affecting sure for the Classical Test Cricket. We are now running beyond the time (sometimes) in our Mechanical life and so leisure and patience is going down. Now that the New Zealand tour of India already started (India won the series leading 2 -0, with one more test match left now), the intensity increased a bit to watch, just not for my long lasting passion for Cricket, but India played its 500 Test match. For me the time zones may affect but at least I am happy for some extent because of PST time zone, as I can watch at least till Lunch Sessions (By that time it will be Midnight here).

During recent conversations in phone with my friend, He asked what actually I was doing? I said, I am watching Test Match (Current India vs. New Zealand 2^nd test match in Kolkata).

Test Match? Are you Serious?

Yes, What’s wrong in it? I asked.

Not about what’s wrong, but the question is , how can you able to watch the cricket and that to Test Cricket? Does anyone following Test Cricket now?

Now, it’s not that I blame my friend for not watching (as he is not avid follower of cricket), but I came across these kind of similar incidents in recent years. My heart sank down whenever I hear these downgraded statements against Test Cricket. My patience or may be my anger burst out and so that may be reason for my writing now about the Test Cricket Charm. Yes, Test Cricket is seriously charming and at times amazing to watch too.

The boring doesn’t affect your mind and the thinking of throughout the day playing can be erased if you watch it with fun, joy and intensity. We actually learn the game of Cricket when it comes to Batting or Bowling. Young generation, please understand that Test Cricket makes you to learn a lot about the defense, type of shots, discipline and patience. Having said that Cricket is hence called as Gentleman’s game. The greatness of Test Cricket is not that you hit 4’s and 6’s every ball or have a fastest 50’s or 100’s. In a nutshell Strike Rate, Batting Strike rate is not important here. The more number of balls you play with less number of runs; this is what Test Cricket defines its nature.

The other reasons the Indian youth(some) losing interest may be because the classical cricketers retired from the game. The classical cover drives and the commanding self-defense from Rahul David, the typical, technical and tempo play from V.V.S Laxman, the off side dynamic shots from Saurav Ganguly, the dazzling play from Sachin throughout the ground,the fierce play from Virender Sehwag, we are missing these legends play in the ground now. Not just in terms of batting but the bowling too. I am missing the Leg breaks and variations from Anil Kumble, Seam from Javagal Srinath and swing from Zaheer Khan.

We the 90’s guys have enjoyed the magic of Test Cricket and it’s hard to erase the legendary players so soon from our mind. We often compare the current team play vs. yesterday years play. This might be same case when our elders or father’s compared the Cricket Legends of 80’s when Sachin, Saurav or Dravid are playing in 90’s. The daring acts are actually more in eighty’s time vs. Ninety’s Test Cricket. The batsmen have to face the aggressive bowling from opponents with no helmets. The curiosity might have for sure well defined for the cricketing spectators who watched in 80’s like, how does Gavaskar handle the fast bowling from dominant bowlers?

The Test cricket magic lies on many factors and also how we visually enjoy the play. Sometimes the tense movements arise in the final day when the team wants to win with just 1 or 2 wickets in hands (2 hours before the end of play). At this point tension is bit higher for both teams as well as the spectators and the result can be Win,Lose or Draw. When the Batsman leaves the ball or tries to defense the ball if bowler attacks with pace or spin, surrounding by fielders is great way of showing composure and self-defense acts. The experience is same when you watch the bowling too. The seam or swing from fast bowlers really gives that OH! What a bowl effect. The Spin variations in difficult pitch conditions (Favorable for Spinners) for the batsmen is so challenging to defense and deviate more towards the bat talking to ball.

It’s a visual treat we experienced when we used to watch Tendulkar’s classical Straight Drive, Dravid’s Cover Drive, Square cut, Paddle swoop, Ganguly’s trademark Off side shots, Very very special typical flick shots from Laxman also Azharuddin plays flick shot too, like Tendulkar and so Sehwag for their magnificent Upper cut, Dhoni’s Helicopter shot etc. Sometimes beauty is expressed through acts of play and these legends proved that. Not just Batting, but in bowling standards we have great bowlers in Test Cricket. The ability to swing in both ways from Zaheer, Top Class seam from Javagal Srinath, off break and doosra from Harbhajan Singh and my favorite Anil Kumble known for his Leg break, Spin variations. No one is as best as the Jumbo (Anil Kumble) in terms of reading the minds of a batsmen.

But wait, that doesn’t mean the magic of test cricket ended after the legends retired. So the fact here to be known is Players Change not the Test Cricket. The responsibility is in our hands to continue the echo of the Test Cricket and make it live without an End to the sport. We have the Test Specialist batsmen in form of Murali Vijay. We have Ajinkya Rahane and Pujara as catalyst for Test Cricket. Sometimes their play reminds of Rahul Dravid innings. Kohli and Ashwin with experience already are pivots now. Emerging player K.L Rahul looks determined and his act of play justifying him to get settled as opening batsman. The pace or seam is well connected with Bhuvanesh Kumar and Shami(Reminds the pace of Javagal and Zak). Without hard work and commitment from Indian team you don’t see the history of Indian Cricket traveled from 1st Test to crossing 500th now.

This Saturday (10/8/16) we are going to play third and final test in Indore (Ind vs. NZ). The good aspect is that Indore is hosting its Test debut. Indore has rich cricketing history too. 1^st Test Captain C.K Naidu and 1^st centurion Syed Mushtaq Ali, away (112 vs England in Manchester, 1936) belong from this place (I read in CricInfo article). The wall Rahul Dravid also born in Indore too, though he raised later on in Bengaluru. There are some interesting fact known about C.K Naidu based on article I read in CricInfo. C.K Naidu is known for big hitting and while he played in Secundrabad Gymkhana ground, his huge six made the clock to broke on a 40-foot tower (50 Yards away from edge of Boundary).

Thanks to BCCI for this initiative to make the Test Cricket move from Big known stadiums to the small venues like Indore now. There is lot of retrospect about the future of Test Cricket in recent years and with this change of bringing the Tests to small venues can be a true change of color to make the Test Cricket alive and glorifying.

P.S - The post I written here is mostly focused on the players I known from 90's, when I started watching test cricket in my Child hood. We have many legendary Indian Test players I known of like Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Kapil Dev, Lala Amarnath, Mohinder Amarnath, Bishan Singh Bedi, Sanjay Manjlekar etc which I didn't wrote here. Also, as this post is purely on Indian Test Cricket I focused on the Indian Cricket player shots and techniques. Internationally, we have great legends in terms of cricketing shots and bowling standards too. The Pull shot from Ricky Ponting, Dilscoop from Dilshan, Cover drive from AB, Flick from Sangakkara, Reverse swing from McGrath, Wasim Akram, Seam and Pace from Brett Lee, Vaas, Off break from Muralitharan, Leg Break from Warne are few examples to say about International legends.

East Coast Visit

Some Plans or Actions happens in No time or sometimes the laziness tends to make the plans to be delayed. The Plan to travel to the North Eastern States ESP. New York is one such delayed action I had from past 6 years and now that I visited this place recently, want to write my experiences with the trip. We flew to Washington DC in the midnight from LAX Airport(LA) to overcome the long journey (5 hours) and we had our sleep in the plane itself. Next day when we woke up, The City welcomed with the beauty of the magnificent landscape of the Orange and Blue sky (About to Sun rise).

The actual fun started when we visited the Harrisburg, P.A through drive.Whenever you are in a new state or new place, you tend to compare with the place you currently live. I had the same too. Comparing the Surroundings of West Coast vs. East Coast is once such movement I can glimpse of in terms of the road trip. My friends rerouted to the Hershey Park. The bus rides in the Hershey Chocolate Factory is interesting one to know the the preparation of the Chocolate. I am the little kid in the ride when looking the processing’s of the Chocolate. The amazement is to the core when you see the loads of chocolate cubes in hierarchical structure processing just close to you.

The next day, it was Washington D.C. We traveled through Metro from Virginia to Washington D.C.Now I am close to the White House.

The Sky is Blue,

I know the Clouds Are White, but I see the White House now.

Later we visited the Renwick Gallery (Art). The renovations couldn’t make us to watch throughout the building but the amazement came through one of WONDER art. Apparently this is the art used using Fishing Nets and it depicts amount of Energy released in Pacific Ocean during the Tsunami in Tohoku (Japan).

The long walk to the Lincoln memorial, all the way from Renwick Gallery/White House made us exhausted in the scorching heat, but looking over the Lincoln Memorial and the walk under the trees made us to forget the tiredness.

Didn’t went close but at least we had a sight of The Washington Monument. This is an obelisk Constructed to pay tribute to the First American President George Washington.

Stepped into the National Air and Space Museum, the largest aircraft Air and Space Craft collection in the world. Explored some of the fascinating things of Air and Space craft.

And the Father of Modern Rocketry Dr.Robert G Goddard picture can be seen below. He is the Inventor/Creator of World's First Fueled Rocket.

The below Portrait about the Music interested much to me. Its so nice to Compose/Create the mood based on the Space/Planets. I started exploring the below people after I came back home. Of all I am more influential towards Gustav Holst The Planets Album. The Hymns and Sounds I heard in each of the planet related are the ones you still listen in most of the movies/Music today. Great to know that this Music is enduring,Inspirational and still live till now.

And the tiredness and the burn out made us to call it a day. The next day we completely took rest in our cousin’s place in Virginia (As we had to drive to Niagara the next day). That was a fun time to spend some valuable time with the Cousin kids. And the home food you get is always so great to have it. Delicious is just a simple word to say.

Oh Niagara!

We started early(~7 AM) in the morning from Virginia. The car drive en routes again through Pennsylvania roads and this time the amazement is much higher when I see the Country side beauty through road drive.

Now that we are on Grand Island Bridge(North),we knew we are close to Niagara and the Niagara river is flowing down under the bridge.

There was much perception and assumption in my mind about how actually the Niagara looks? Later on, when I had a view of the Niagara Falls, I am close to assumption but slightly more than my assumption.

But the reality spoke much.

Next day the plan is to drive to New York from Niagara. Before we started to New York, we visited Old Fort Niagara. This fort played a significant role during the French and Indian War (Native American) in July 1759. We saw the Musket and Mortar firing demonstration.

The musket (Long Barrel Gun) firing demonstration by a dressed up soldier is an interesting facts of how the soldiers used to dress and how the firing happens. He is resonant and commanding during the demonstration.

The New York, Here we come

What can be more memorable, if you are celebrating your birth day when you are in New York? The day is the more memorable and unforgettable to me.

Visit to the Statue of Liberty lead me to dive into the history about the Statue. Looking at the statue all the way from down, I was for a while into the meditative mode regarding the Freedom,Liberty and Independence.

Later a visit to 9/11 Memorial made me to go back to the sorrowful memories. The stream of water flow with all the names is a great tribute to 9/11 victims. The silence with Visionary thoughts and the meditation (Hearing the water flow) is what I really felt a great tribute from myself to them.

We stepped into the One World Observatory (New One WTC tower). The inspiring video talk through walk way made to hear the inspiring talk/stories of people regarding the built of One World Trade Center. Once we entered the elevator, amazed of sudden video in the Elevator giving you the glimpse of One World Trade Center. Now you are in 100th floor. It’s time for you to experience the See Forever Theater in one of the big hall room. The audio visual experience gives the pulse of New York and the impression of the skyline. And finally you are in the Main Observatory. Enjoyed the spectacular view of the New York and surroundings.

Its 5 P.M and what’s next raised in everyone’s mind? The Google maps helped and realized that the walk to Brooklyn Bridge is ~0.3 miles from One Observatory. Without second thought we started walking towards Brooklyn Bridge. The actual spirited of seeing different People, Cultures, and the New York Style everything reflected as the happening place when I was in Brooklyn Bridge. The walk over the bridge is relaxing and refreshing in the evening.

You don’t feel the experience of New York until you had a ride in the local Taxi’s/Cab. The taxi ride from Brooklyn to 53^rd Street is a pleasure ride. The eye sight of spectacular buildings, busy Traffic, Sound Horns, People, Streets you see is a sparkled excitement to your heart.

Not a planned one but the flash of word ART made me to visit the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) when we are near 53rd street. The landscape and portraits of Contemporary Art is interesting to watch and the imagination is high at this time.

8 PM in the night, the Radiance and Illumination is sky-high. The sight of too much crowd and flashing cell Phones for selfies can be seen here. By this time, you may have known (If already visited) what I am talking about? Yes, I am City Square now.

While heading back from New York to Virginia we bypass through Philadelphia Downtown to drop my friend. Didn’t stopped anywhere but the drive through the oldest city (Ohh used to be the Capital of United States earlier) is amazing. We glanced the outside sight of Masonic Temple, Philadelphia Art Museum from Car itself.

Food? Yeah Indian Cuisine Mostly

The next best thing in my trip is the Food. When the taste reaches your soul that’s what you call it as the excellent food. This is exactly happened when I tried the Biryani Cart food in New York Streets. I enjoyed the atmosphere and mood of the New York street food when I ate the Biryani and Kati rolls from Biryani Cart. We tried the taste of famous chain The Halal Guys (Middle Eastern) at 53^rd Street. Not to be called as Best but Better when we had Lunch(Buffet) and Dinner(Biryani) at Zaika’s in Niagara. We also enjoyed the varieties of items of its own(Buffet) at Mirchi restaurant in Edison. The zeal didn’t go down when we ate at Sarvana Bhavan in Edison. The craving for food is intensified and Spice N Curry in Baltimore introduced by my Baltimore friends is equally enjoyable to have the food. Finally, whatever the taste you may have outside the Home food is always overwhelming and satisfying. We experience that when we had the food in my friends and cousins place.

A simple Thank You is not enough to say for the support and help I received from friends and family during this trip. Much hospitality, Invitations from my friends, after long time visit to my friends brought me the fond memories and Nostalgia. Well! what more I can say about this trip? The Spirit stays and wonderful memories keep haunting me. There is still tomorrow for me to come back again.

తెలుగు భాష! ఎందుకో ఏమో తెలియకుండా తెలుగు భాషపై అభిమానం,మక్కువ రోజు రోజుకు ఎక్కువ అవుతుంది. ఒక విధంగా చెప్పలి అంటే చిన్నపుడు నేను చదువుల్లో చాలా dull. అన్నిటిలో కంటే తెలుగు సబ్జెక్టు లో ఎక్కువ మార్కులు వస్తుండేవి. ప్రతిసారి పరీక్షలు వ్రాసినప్పుడు తెలుగునే మొదటి పరిక్ష. అప్పుడు అనుకునే వాడిని ఈ సారి అయినా వేరే పరీక్షల్లో తెలుగులో మించి ఎక్కువ మార్కులు వస్తాయా లేదా అని?ఎక్కువ మార్కులు రాలేదు కానీ మిగితా పరీక్షల్లో ఫెయిల్ అయ్యే వాడిని :((esp Maths,Science). ఒకటి ఏమో మాతృ భాష, ఇంకా అన్నిటిలో కంటే తెలుగులో ఎక్కువ మార్కులు రావడం, ఆ పై తెలుగు సినిమా ప్రభావం. మా తాతయ్య వల్ల ఏమో తెలుగు న్యూస్ పేపర్, ఇంకా ఈనాడు సండే స్పెషల్ పుస్తకం తప్పకుండ చదవడం అలవాటు అయ్యింది. ఇన్ని ప్రభావాలు ఉన్నాక తెలుగు భాషపై అభిమానము ఎందుకు తగ్గుతుంది ?

ఇక ప్రస్తుత సినిమా విషయానికి వస్తే..

జ్యో అచ్యుతానంద! …ఆ మధ్య ట్రైలర్ చూసాను. స్టోరీ డిఫరెంట్ గా ఉంది అనిపించింది. పాటలు కూడా చాలా సాహిత్య పరంగా విన సోంపుగా ఉన్నాయి. దానికి తోడు దర్శకుడు శ్రీ అవసరాల తీసిన ఇంతకు ముందు సినిమా(ఊహలు గుస గుస లాడే) కూడా చాలా బాగా ఉంది. ఇన్ని కారణాల వల్ల సినిమా తప్పకుండ చూస్తాను అని నిర్ణయించుకున్న.ఇక సినిమా చూసాక అలా గాల్లో తేలిపోయాను. సినిమాలోని అద్భుత సన్నివేశాలు,సంభాషణలు,తెలుగుతనం,మాధుర్యమైన పాటలు ఇలా ఇన్ని ఉన్నాక, నేను సినిమా గురించి రాయకుండా ఎలా ఉండగలను? సాధారణంగా ఒకే సన్నివేశం రెండు సార్లు (వేరే వేరే నటుల పై) తెరపై వచ్చినప్పుడు ప్రేక్షకుడికి బోరింగ్ అనిపిస్తుంది చాలా మటుకు.కానీ ఈ సినిమాలో అలా అనిపించలేదు. ఒక డిఫరెంట్ స్క్రీన్ ప్లే తొ దర్శుకుడు శ్రీ అవసరాల చాలా బాగా తీసాడు.

ఇక ఈ సినిమాలోని మాటలు అమృత పలుకులు.చిన్నప్పుడు నేర్చుకున్న విభక్తులు మళ్ళీ గుర్తుకువస్తాయి. ఉదాహరణకు జ్యో (రెజినా కస్సా ఆండ్ర) ఎమ్ ఓయి! అని నారా రోహిత్ ని పిలిచినప్పుడు,చూసావా ఎలా పిలుస్తుందో సంబోధన ప్రధమ విభక్తి అని నాగ శౌర్యకి చెబుతాడు. ఇంకొక సన్నివేశంలో అమ్మ వాళ్ళ ఇద్దరి కొడుకులతో అంటుంది, కలిసి ఎలా అయినా మీరు సంతోషంగా ఉండట్లేదు, కనీసం వీడి పోయి సుఖంగా ఉండండి అని. ఈ సంభాషణలో ఎంత పరిణతి ! నేటి ఆధునిక కాలంలో బేధ అభిప్రాయాలు,మనస్పర్థలు ఎక్కువ అయ్యాయి. సమాజ వాతావరణం (మనుషులు) కూడా ఒక కారణం. అన్నయ్య పై తమ్ముడికి, తమ్ముడుపై అన్నయ్యకి ప్రేమ ఎప్పుడు ఉంటుంది. ఆ ప్రేమలు ఊరికే బయటకు రావు అంతే. ఎప్పుడైనా అన్న తమ్ముళ్లు రామ లక్ష్మణులే.

ఒక లాలన పాటలో అన్నతమ్ముళ్ల అనుబంధం గురించి ఎంతో రమణీయంగా గేయరచయిత(భాస్కర్ భట్ల గారు) వివరిస్తారు.

కల బోసుకున్న ఊసులు ఏమన్నాయో ఏమో , పెనవేసుకున్న ప్రేమలు మెలిమెల్లిగా ఎటు పోయెనో

ఎనెన్నో మాటలు/పలుకులు ఇప్పుడు లేవు.చిన్నప్పటి నుండి ఉన్న ఎన్నో ప్రేమబంధాలు మెల్లిగా ఏటో వెళ్లిపోయాయి.ఇందాకా చెప్పినట్టు బేధాభిప్రాయాలు, మనస్పర్హలు వల్లే ఒకరికొక్కరు దూరంగా ఉంటున్నారు. దాని గురించి రచయిత ఎలా వివరించారో చుడండి

ఇంత కాలం దాచుకున్న ప్రేమని , హాయిని , కాలం ఏది దోచుకోదు ఇమ్మని

పెదవి అంచు మీద నవ్వుని , పూయున్చుకోవడం నీ పని

నీ మౌనమే మాటాడితే దారి చేరుకోదా ఆమని .

ఈ క్రింది చరణంలో ఎంతో వివరంగా,అద్భుతం గా చెప్పాడు రచయిత .

మనసు ఉంటె మార్గం ఉండదా ? ప్రతి మనిషి నీకే చెందడా ?

ఆకాశం పైన ఉంటుంది , నేల కింద ఉంటుంది. వాటి ఇద్దరి రాయ బారి వాన జల్లు . మరి అలానే మనస్సు ఉంటె మార్గం ఉంటుంది, బంధాలు విడిపోకుండా ఉండడానికి .

ఆద్యంతం సినిమా మొత్తం దర్శకుడు తెలుగు సంభాషణలు ఉపాయగించాడు. ఇక పాటల్లో కూడా స్పష్టమైన సాహిత్యం. ఇవాళ రేపు వచ్చే పాటల్లో సాహిత్యం తక్కువ, హల్ చల్ ఎక్కువ. కానీ ఇందులో ప్రతి పాట వింటుంటే ...ఆహ ! అది అద్వైతం. ఎప్పటి నుండో బుచ్చి బాబు గారి చివరకు మిగిలేది తెలుగు పుస్తకం చదవాలని అనుకున్నాను. మెల్లిగా ఆ పుస్తకమే మర్చిపోయాను . ఈ సినిమా ద్వారా దర్శకుడు మళ్ళి నాకు ఆ పుస్తకం గుర్తు చేసాడు. ఈ పుస్తకం గురించి తెలియని వారు ఎందరో ఉంటారు. ఒక విషయం మాత్రం చెప్పగలను, ఈ సినిమా చూసాక చాలా మంది ఈ పుస్తకం పై అన్వేషణ ప్రారంభిస్తారు, చదవాలని అనుకుంటారు.

ఆకు పచ్చని చందా మామల మారిపోయే భూలోకం . ఈ పాట కూడా నాకు చాలా నచ్చింది.ఈ పాటలోని సాహిత్యం , తియ్యని కావ్యం (ఆహ ఆహ బాగున్నది).శృతి పరంగా శ్రావ్యమైన స్వర బాణీలను శ్రీ కల్యాణ రమణ గారు అందించారు.

ఈ సినిమా నచ్చడానికి వ్యక్తిగతంగా ఒక కారణం కూడా ఉంది.ఈ చిత్రంలో కధ నాయకులు (రోహిత్,నాగ శౌర్య) ఒక సందర్భంలో ఒకరి ఇంట్లో దొంగతనం చేస్తారు. ఆ సన్నివేశం నా చిన్నతనంలో జరిగిన ఒక సంఘటన స్మృతులు నెమరు వేసుకున్నాయి.(దాని గురించి తరువాత వివరంగా ఇంకో post రాస్తాను)

చిన్నప్పుడు నానమ్మ, తాతయ్య కబుర్లు చెబితే , ఇంకా వినాలనే తాపత్రయం,

Imax లో మాయాబజార్ సినిమా చూస్తే, అలా కదలకుండా చూస్తూ ఉంటె మనస్సుకు కలిగే తన్మయత్వం!
రెస్టారంట్ వెళ్లి బిర్యానీ మొత్తం Fork/Spoonతో కాకుండా అలా చెయ్యితో తింటే(అంటే నేను ఎప్పుడు ఇలానే తింటాను)ఉండే మజా !
ఇక్కడ యూ.స్ లో కార్ లో వెళ్తున్నపుడు ఎప్పుడు వచ్చే ఇంగ్లీష్ పాప్ F.M రేడియో నుండి ఒక్క సారిగా అలనాటి తెలుగు పాట మాధుర్యం వినేటప్పుడు పొందే ఆనందం,
సెల్ ఫోన్ లేని ఆ రోజుల్లో(చిన్నప్పడు) స్నేహితులతో కలిసి బయట ఆ స్వచ్ఛమైన గాలిని పీలుస్తూ ఆడుకున్నప్పడు కలిగే అనుభూతి !ఇవన్నీ నాకు ఈ సినిమా చూసాక అనిపించాయి.

And so, I am the king of Vegetables.

Egg Plant, otherwise called as Brinjal is considered as the King of Vegetables. Not sure why it is called as the King. Is it called because of the crown shaped head or may be because it tastes better? Whatever, let’s get into the subject here. Gutti Vankaya Kura is a popular Andhra special delight. The delicacy and aroma of this dish will not make you let down if prepared perfectly. In other words simply irresistible.

కాయలలో ఒక కాయ

కూరగాయల రారాజు వంకాయ

వేపుడు తింటే పసందు

పచ్చడి చేస్తే దిల్ పసందు

పులుసుగా తింటే పులకింత

కూరగా తింటే కవ్వింత ..

ఎ కూరగా నైనను.....

గుత్తి వంకాయ కూరే కదా

సుగంధాల సుమధురము!

This dish may look like the medium to more complexity level when Ingredients are considered, but let’s make it simple in 3 simple step process. All we need to do is

1. Preparation of Paste

2. Stuffing the Egg Plant

3. Cooking

Serving - 4

Ingredients

Eggplants - 8-10 (Small Ones) Wash and make + sign (Don’t remove the stalk). Place the egg plants in the salted water.

For Paste

Onion
Cilantro ( Coriander Leaves) - ¾ bunch
Green Chili, 3-4 (Depending upon Your Spicy Level)
Garlic ( 2 – 3 Cloves)
Tamarind (Small piece)

Other Basic Ingredients

1. Oil (2-3) tablespoons

2. Mustard Seeds ½ table Spoon

3. Cumin Seeds/Urad ¾ table spoon.

4. Coriander Powder

5. Red Chili Powder (½ table spoon)

6. Salt ( To taste)

As told, let’s prepare it in the 3 step process. Make a coarse paste of all the ingredients above in Paste section with some salt. The final paste looks like below.

Stuff the paste into egg plants as shown below.

In a large Pan, add the oil. Later add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and urad dal and let them splutter. Add curry leaves. Later slowly add stuffed brinjals. Let it cook for a while in slow flame for 2 – 3 minutes closing the lid.Add very little water and cook for 2 more minutes

Now open the lid and add the remaining paste. Add Corriander powder and stir slowly. Let it cooked for 2 -3 minutes so that the paste is cooked along with the brinjals. Later add water depending upon the gravy required(Add salt and Red chilli powder if required).

Close the lid and let it cook for 20 – 25 minutes in slow flame until egg plants are completely cooked along with the gravy. Now serve the curry with Rice or Roti.

Notes

1. Make sure the Egg plants you have are tender ones and fresh. If not tender the above process of cooking may take more time to cook the egg plants inside. If you feel the Brinjals /Egg plants are not tender, after making the + sign in above process, fry them in the oil completely (Not more than 30 seconds). By doing this process the above time will be reduced to half.

2. The recipe I showed is my signature style of preparation with more of greens (Green Brinjals, Coriander Leaves, Curry Leaves, Green Chilli). It may have missed some ingredients but the recipe above is the basic way of cooking Gutti Vankaya kura.

Khas Khas Paneer Masti Recipe

Paneer is the most prepared recipe throughout India especially in restaurants and liked item in the Vegetarian menu. We have many Paneer recipes that we knew/tasted earlier, the recipe I am showing here will be similar but has different taste. This medium level of this paneer curry making is shown simple here.

Prep Time – 10 - 15 Mins

Cooking Time – 10 - 12 Mins

Serves – 4

Khas Khas Paneer Masti Curry

Main Ingredients

Paneer (Cottage Cheese) – 500 Grams\1 Pound

Khas Khas (Poppy Seeds)

Curry Leaves

Coconut

Other basic Ingredients

Oil (2 ½ Table Spoons)

1 Large Onion (Chopped into small cubes)

Green chillies- 3 -4

Urad Dal (1)/Mustard Seeds (1/2) /Cumin Seeds (1) (Quantity in Tea Spoon)

Turmeric Powder (½)/Red Chili Powder (½ - 1 table spoon)

Garam Masala – ½ Table spoon (I used very little just to get the flavor)

Coriander Powder (½ Table Spoon)

Salt – to Taste
Coriander Leaves - For Garnishing

For Paste

Poppy Seeds (¼ Cup Roasted)

Coconut (¾ Cup)

Red Chilies – 2
Curry Leaves (10 Leaves)

Heat ½ table spoon oil in a pan. Roast all the above items and grind to a fine paste (Add water depending upon the Consistency)

Steps

1. Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Add Mustard Seeds/Cumin Seeds/Urad Dal and sauté for 10-15 seconds. Later add green chillies and Onions and sauté (2-3 minutes) till onions turn lighter brown.

2. Add Turmeric and Coriander powder. Later add the paneer cubes and stir carefully in simmer mode. Make sure Paneer cubes are not burnt too much.

3. Now add the whole paste prepared earlier in pan. Add Salt and Red chilli powder. Add water based on the gravy level. Close the pan with lid and let it cook in medium mode for 3-5 minutes. Make sure to consistently mix (In order not to burnt the paste). Turn to simmer mode and cook for 3 more minutes.

4.Transfer to serving bowl and garnish with Coriander Leaves(cilantro).

You can enjoy this mouth watering spicy tendered paneer cubes with hint of Nutty/mild sweet/Aromatic (Because of Poppy Seeds, Coconut and Curry Leaves) either with Pulav, White Rice and of course Rotis too. Enjoy !

The dream I had about my Name...

Sometimes the dreams you may have during the sleep are interesting and fascinating too. Often we forgot most of the sequential events happened in the dream, but remember a few after we wake up. I want to tell you an interesting dream I had (I think I am going to remember this date 11/23/2015). This is the dream about how I got my name as Vajra. Before going into the story let me tell you how I got my name actually. According to my parents, my tatayya(My Father’s father) proposed the name as Vajra Kanth. It’s my mother who suggested the name to be as Deep instead of Kanth(In Indian Context Kanth and Deep means Light) and so that's how I got the name as Vajra Deep.

Coming to the Subject….I had a Dream

In the dream I saw my grandfather writing on the black board (He was a Teacher by profession) explaining how he proposed my name and how Vajra is related to Gandhi. I don’t really remember the complete dream but I know he also said about the river. The first thing I done after I got up is Google as Vajra and Gandhi. I don’t see any direct relation with these names. But something astonished me after going through some other websites especially Wikipedia.

As many of you know Vajra means Diamond or Thunder storm. In Hindu mythology, Vajra is also the weapon of Lord Indra.

So how did Lord Indra have the weapon Vajra?

There were many stories about this, but the major one is relating to Sage Dadhichi.

Sage Dadhichi is the son of Antharvan who created the Antharveda(One of the Vedas of 4 vedas).According to the story Lord Indra(King of all Devas) was driven out of Devaloka(Swarga,Heaven) by Serpent king named Vritra an Asura (Demigod with Bad qualities). Vritra has a blessing that he can’t be killed by any weapon (of Metal or Wood). Losing the hope on the Kingdom, Lord Indra approached Lord Shiva for help. Lord Shiva indeed couldn’t help and both along with Bramha went to Lord Vishnu to seek help. Vishnu said that only the weapon made from bones of Sage Dadhichi can kill Vritra. That’s how all devas went to Sage Dadhichi for the aid to kill Vritra. Without selfishness Sage Dadhichi sacrificed his life for the Devas so that weapon Vajra can be prepared through his bones. That’s how Lord Indra executed the Seprent King Vritra through the weapon Vajra.

Also India’s highest Military Award Param Vir Chakra is awarded for highest bravery or self-sacrifice. This Award has the replica of the weapon Vajra. Sage Dadhichi had a wife named Swarcha and Son Pippalada. Rishi Pippalada established many ashrams. One of the main Ashram is in a place called Misrikh in Uttar Pradesh. Sabarmati Ashram (In Ahmadabad) was also one of the ancient sites established by Pippalada.

So what does the story enlighten me?

Sabarmati Ashram which was an ancient site established by Pippalada is the same ashram Gandhi used to live during pre-Independence era. This is the ashram which is located in banks of Sabarmati River (This may be the river my Grand Father is talking about in the dream). May be the subject doesn’t have any direct context but indirectly there is a connection with the nouns Vajra and Gandhi. Don’t you guys felt interesting of what you have read till now? I felt very fascinating about the dream and so couldn’t resist to write down as a memory to be remembered every Year ( Nov 23). Thank you for coming into my dream Tatayya. Where ever you are in the sky, hope you are shining as a star. And yes I don’t forgot you. I know how I learnt many things from you.

Hands are on the edge of the rock. Downside is hollow with lush greenery. The moisture on the hands led to slippery and Rohan is in air now. Help! Help! Shouted Rohan. Hold My Hand responded a Monster from Nowhere. Where are we going now? asked Rohan. Depends on all your sins answered the Monster.

THE SECRET - In Search of Treasure

Hurray I found it. Hurray I found it shouted Krishna when he found the box for the treasure.

Krishna lives in a tribal village called Trissapur. Krishna and his troop are involved in the treasure hunt for almost a decade from now. The people here are facing with troubles. The remote village constraint made the village to suffer from many problems. The literacy rate is less, there is no proper electricity, the lands are barren and it’s hard for the farmers to produce the necessary crops. There has been many times the village head petitioning the government officials about the village but the promise from them is not always fruitful. The villagers have seen the political leaders only during the 5 years term of elections. Situations are becoming worse day by day. They need to travel miles for the water and for household needs. With much problems about the Village being said there were also rumors about this village of having treasures.

Krishna’s fore fathers only know the existence of treasure in this village. But they don’t know where exactly the treasure is? Krishna’s family is committed for the search of the Treasure. From Great grandfathers to grandfather and from grandfather to his father and from his father the job was fell under hands of Krishna. Its Only Krishna family always looking for the treasure hunt as Krishna knew the history of the treasure from his father. Krishna don’t want to find the treasure not for himself but wants to pour all the found treasure to the village needs.

During a hike to nearby mountains with his friends made him to find a huge rock. Hey Shashank look over there, don’t you think it’s a cave said Krishna pointing the finger to the rock? How can you say it’s a cave and more ever it looks like a huge rock said Shashank? I don’t know. I have my own doubts. We have tried our best for the Treasure and we didn’t find any luck till now. Let’s don’t give up our hopes said Krishna. With much suspense all guys reached near the big rock. See, I told you it’s not cave. It’s just a huge rock! Shashank said with intensified tone.

Yad Bhavam Tad Bhavathi uttered Krishna. What do you mean said Shashank? I believe what I think replied Krishna. OK let’s get into work guys said Krishna. Veeru you be in the front and we will be in the back. Let’s push the rock little bit so that we can know something can lead to the treasure. With much effort everyone tried their best but no luck. They couldn’t able to move the elephantine rock. I told you its rock you have to believe me said Shashank again. Everyone went back to home and on their way back home everyone sensed that Krishna is more worried about his failure. After the dinner he went to the bed early. He is still thinking of what will be the back of the rock? Is it still a rock or something hidden back of the rock? He just want to get the facts out of what he saw. He woke up quickly from the bed and went to the garage. He is really looking for something specific. Where is it? I just saw that one recently. Did my father kept somewhere? Yes I found it, here it is. He grabbed the hand drilling machine. It’s too late to go back to mountains now. I will go early in the morning Krishna whispered himself. He soon went into sleep again.

The box is completely metal. He couldn’t open the box as it has a jumbo lock. He couldn’t even break the metal one with driller too. He returned back with the box with passion and pride to the house. I found it. I found it Krishna shouted on his way back. The villagers felt happy too about his search. They believed their happiness will come back and all the problems will be solved based on the treasure. Everyone followed towards Krishna’s house. This time Krishna as well as his father is determined and confident that they found the treasure. All the answers of the treasures will be in box is what they believed. They called the welder from the town to open the Metal box lock. As its remote village it takes around half a day to the welder to reach the Tribal village. Celebrations in the village started early even before the box was opened. At last the Welder came and he is busy in opening the box.

The job is done sir uttered the welder. Krishna and his father went near the box. Open the box Krishna, Raghavaih said. With much shiver in hands Krishna slowly opened the box. He found a piece of plain paper inside the box. He unfolded the letter and glared at words written in the letter. With surprise look and confusion he showed the letter to his father. THE SECRET is what is written inside the letter and nothing else. Now its Raghavaih turn to look surprised and confused. Both father and son looked at their face each other with disappointment and they looked at the villagers from the window. The villagers are continuing their dances and shouting with excitement about the treasure. What the hell is this SECRET Raghavaih shouted.
