<p>Many exercise experts have conflicting stances on the best exercises for getting toned arms. Has all the conflict left you in a state of confusion? I remember how it left me pretty confused.</p>
<p>After all, if the experts are having a hard time reaching a consensus, how are you supposed to make a decision?</p>
<p>The good news is that I&#8217;ve already dealt with this issue. And I&#8217;m ready to share my findings after years and years of research.</p>
<p>Thus here is my critique of curls with palms forward for eliminating bingo wings:</p>
<p><strong>1. Snap shot summary:</strong> This exercise mainly focuses on the outside portion of your biceps in your upper arm area. It also does a great job at working the biceps through its entire range of motion-few exercises do this effectively.</p>
<p><strong>2. How to do it:</strong> Stand erect with dumbbells in each hand. Keep your arm straight and palms facing forward. Keep your abs tight and raise both dumbbells. Then lower them in a controlled manner, repeat.</p>
<p><strong>3. Common errors:</strong> Allowing the upper body to hunch forward. Bringing the dumbbells too high with forces the elbows to rise excessively. And heave hoeing the weights up.</p>
<p><strong>4. To do or not to do:</strong> I strongly recommend this exercise for every women wishing to get all around toned arms. It&#8217;s an excellent exercise for toning the biceps. And although arm fat usually doesn&#8217;t hang from the biceps, it&#8217;s still the first muscle someone will see when greeting your from the front. So don&#8217;t neglect it!</p>
<p>Learning the best exercises for arm fat reduction shouldn&#8217;t be like finding a needle in a haystack. Ignore the marketing hype and all the flashy gadgets-stick to what works! And remember that intensity is by far the most important factor for sexy arm success. Even when doing mediocre exercises, if you apply the right amount of intensity you&#8217;ll get good results.</p>

<p>This article will show you why training to failure is important and how to do it properly.</p>
<p>Every person in the gym that&#8217;s worth their salt has pushed their muscles to the limit.</p>
<p>I was lifting 85 lbs dumb bells yesterday on the incline bench when I reached failure on the down stroke.  If it weren&#8217;t for my spotter, I would&#8217;ve been in serious trouble.</p>
<p>I knew I was done with chest for the day, and unlike so many other trainees, I moved on to another exercise after that.</p>
<p>When you train to complete muscle failure, you&#8217;ve recruited (just about) every fiber in that muscle to do a particular movement and they&#8217;ve ALL failed.  The lactic acid build up from your muscles oxidizing themselves has reached a critical limit and they can&#8217;t move anymore.</p>
<p>This is important because you&#8217;ve now effectively torn that majority of the muscle.   Giving you the maximum chance of recovery.</p>
<p>By damaging 60% of the muscle, only 60% will repair itself.  But damaging 97% of the muscle will cause 97% to repair itself.  The more muscle that repairs itself, the faster you&#8217;ll see significant growth.  Greater repair means greater growth.  The repair may take a little longer, but not significantly longer and you&#8217;ll see more muscle.</p>
<p>Keep your tempo steady throughout the lift while keeping your technique as good as possible.  Make sure it&#8217;s your muscles failing and not your joints.  Keep a positive attitude and push through the pain until you can&#8217;t perform the movement anymore.</p>
<p>This is a great strategy for maximum muscle growth but it is a little dangerous without a spotter.  Always get someone to spot you on that last set or two when you know you&#8217;re going to give out.</p>
<p>You need to communicate with your spotter as to when you&#8217;re about to fail and they should be vigilant to look for signs of failure.</p>
<p>I would end with the cliche, No Pain, No Gain, but that&#8217;s not exactly true, lol.  So I&#8217;ll just say, Train Hard and Train Smart.</p>

<p>For many people the word yoga conjures up something only vaguely related to the lotus position. However, it is more than just one pose; it embraces not only a physical discipline but also a philosophical basis for leading one&#8217;s life. The word itself comes from ancient Sanskrit text and roughly translates to &#8220;royal union, &#8221; which is to say a proper balance between body and mind.</p>
<p>The ancient text that provides the foundation is the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. It was written over two thousand years ago and is divided into four books. They are called the Samadhi Pada, Sadhana Pada, Vibhuti Pada, and the Kaivalya Pada. It is in the Sadhana Pada that one can discover the physical aspect of yoga.</p>
<p>Within the Sadhana Pada one will find the eight &#8220;limbs.&#8221; These steps are known as the Ashtanga yoga. The first five limbs concern external aids while the last three address internal issues. Asana is one of the five external aids, or the third limb, and refers to discipline of the body. It stresses that the body should be kept disease-free while preserving vital energy. It is the teachings found in this book of the Sutras that give rise to what most Westerners construe as <a href="http://www.extremefitness.ca/yoga" target="_blank">yoga</a>.</p>
<p>Asana is the plural of asan which means body position or posture. Its purpose is to improve flexibility, vitality, and promote meditation. Some adherents of asana believe that practicing its positions open up the energy channels and psychic centers in the body. According to asana, any position assumed should be steady and comfortable, yet firm.</p>
<p>As alluded to earlier, the body should not experience any discomfort when assuming any pose. There are dozens of positions that a practitioner can strike, from beginner level to advanced.</p>
<p>Regardless of one&#8217;s level of expertise, there are some fundamental concepts that should be adhered to. The stomach should always be empty before commencing any exercise. The body should not experience any trembling from force or pressure. Breathing should be controlled and not erratic. Most of the exercises are not performed on a floor but rather on a mat, and at the conclusion of the session, time should be spent attaining a deep state of relaxation.</p>
<p>Poses can be done standing up, seated, supine, while balanced, or while the back is bent. There are a wide variety of poses and they can be classified as beginner, intermediate, or advanced level positions. Some beginner standing poses are The Downward Facing Dog, The Standing Forward Bend, and The Pyramid Pose. Seated poses such as Half Lord of the Fishes, Seated Wide Legged Straddle, and the Cobbler&#8217;s Pose are also geared towards those just starting out.</p>
<p>As mentioned, yoga encompasses much more than just forming your body into a specific pose. It is a philosophy that addresses not just corporeal well being but also spiritual needs as well. In fact, the first &#8220;limb&#8221; of the Sutras preaches such virtues as non-violence, truth in word and thought, and celibacy for those who are not married and monogamy for those who are.</p>

<p>The main issue here, however, is that many people don&#8217;t like pushing themselves to the edge. Instead, they would rather remain within their limits even if it means being stuck with a body they don&#8217;t want.</p>
<p>So here is how to take your workouts to the next level:</p>
<p>1. Break out of your routine: We are creatures of habit, and exercise is no exception here. So trying something entirely new may seem daunting and a major pain. But if you venture out of your comfort zone and push your body in ways that it hasn&#8217;t been pushed before, you will notice some major changes.</p>
<p>2. Delineate your fear: By outlining, writing and delineating your fear, it will lose most of its power. You see, when you let fear float around in your head, it gets magnified many times over. So make sure you write it down and take an objective view of it.</p>
<p>3. Train in your mind&#8217;s eye: Visualization works, research has proven this time and again. And not only does it provide psychological advantages, but it also primes your nervous system for the next level of training. So make it a habit to visualize the next level right before you are about reach it.</p>
<p>4. Don&#8217;t jump into it all at once: If you prefer tackling the next level one step at a time, then by all means do so. This is much better than simply never changing. By doing things one at a time, you will be able to transition with ease.</p>
<p>5. Tap into your social support: Having social support is a great way to empower yourself for changing. You see, we are all social beings and tapping into social power is a great way to get to the next level. Even better, enlist a training partner that is already at the level you seek.</p>

<p>There are certain arm toning exercises that should be a staple in your program. And there are certain exercises that you should stay away from like the plague. Unfortunately, many women are consistently doing exercises that they should be avoiding.</p>
<p>How did this happen?</p>
<p>Well, I believe we have a case of tradition overshadowing modern science. It seems as though certain fitness experts have been recommending specific arm exercises for so long that most women simply do them without any questioning.</p>
<p>Luckily for you, I&#8217;ve done all the research and I&#8217;m ready to share my findings because I believe that getting sexy and toned arms shouldn&#8217;t involve the risk of injury.</p>
<p>So without further delay, here is my review of triceps kickbacks for getting toned arms:</p>
<p><strong>1. Summary:</strong> This is probably the most overrated triceps exercise out there, seriously. I think this exercise is a waste of time for two main reasons. First, exercising one arm at a time is extremely inefficient. Second, you can&#8217;t use heavy weights when doing this exercise. And heavy weights are critical for the fastest arm toning.</p>
<p><strong>2. Technical snapshot:</strong> Place one of your hands on a support structure like a bench. Lean forward with your knees slightly bent and keep your back straight. Grab a dumbbell with your free hand and align it with your torso. Bring the weight up by straitening your arm. Then slowly return it to the starting position, repeat.</p>
<p><strong>3. Frequent errors:</strong> Heave hoeing the weight up and down. Allowing the elbows to shift around. And not going all the way up and all the way down with the dumbbell.</p>
<p><strong>4. Final word:</strong> I know a lot of women do this exercise and a lot of trainers recommend it, but this doesn&#8217;t mean that you should do it. In fact, this is the most overrated exercise for toning the triceps area.</p>
<p>Doing ineffective arm toning exercises is extremely demoralizing because you won&#8217;t get results. You&#8217;ll feel like you&#8217;re going around in circles. And without results, you&#8217;re more likely to quit. So make sure you stick to what works and disregard everything else, even if everybody is doing it, good luck!</p>

<p>So without further ado, here are 4 benefits of high carbohydrate diets for losing bingo wings:</p>
<p><strong>1. Massive energy.</strong> Your brain and muscles love being fed carbohydrates because they can work much more efficiently with them.</p>
<p><strong>2. Carb tooth satisfaction.</strong> Some women love carbs. And with a high carb diet you don&#8217;t have to feel deprived. Just make sure that your sticking to whole grains.</p>
<p><strong>3. Retention of definition.</strong> Your muscles store carbohydrates in the form of glycogen. Every gram of carbohydrate that gets pulled into your muscle brings along 3 grams of water with it. So on a high carb diet your arms should look tight and compact, not jiggly and loose.</p>
<p><strong>4. Amazing workouts.</strong> Your muscles work at maximum capacity when there is enough carbohydrate to go around. In contrast, working out while on a high protein diet will be mediocre at best.</p>
<p>Despite the benefits of high carb diets for getting rid of bingo wings, there are also many downsides. For the most part, women wishing to get fast results should NOT follow a high carb diet. This means that a safe diet plan is one that includes heart healthy choices but you don&#8217;t have to severely restrict your intake of cabs or fats.</p>
<p>If you love pasta or beef, don&#8217;t deprive yourself of your favorite foods. Instead, choose whole grain pastas and small portions of lean beef like tenderloin. Use heart-healthy fats like olive oil to prepare your food, and balance any high-calorie items with low-calorie side dishes.</p>
<p>Eat lots of fruit and veggies. You can eat a lot more food for fewer calories when you fill your plate with vegetables and fruits. A safe diet plan includes smaller portions for foods like meat and pasta and larger servings of healthy vegetables.</p>
<p>Fruits and vegetables have high water and fiber content, which means they fill you up for fewer calories and they keep you feeling full for longer. Fill at least one-third of your plate with fruit or vegetables at every meal, and choose oranges or green peppers for mid-afternoon snacks instead of processed snack foods.</p>
<p>Portion control is important to a safe diet plan. This will limit your calories without you having to constantly count calories all day. Measure your portions until you are able to judge them by sight. According to the USDA, a serving of pasta is about a handful or one half cup and a serving of meat is the size of a deck of cards or about three ounces.</p>
<p>It is easy to consume more servings than you realize and all of those calories add up. A great diet plan is to stick to one or two servings of carbs and protein each meal and fill the rest of your plate with vegetables. Be sure to cook your vegetables in a healthy way like grilling or steaming.</p>
<p>Eat a wide variety of foods. The American Heart Association advises that dietary variety provides nutritional benefit and also keeps your diet interesting. Eat foods from all of the food groups and vary the foods you eat. This safe diet plan is much healthier than limiting your choices.</p>
<p>A safe diet plan includes proteins on a rotating basis like beef, chicken, fish, beans, and lentils. For carbohydrates, you can choose pasta, quinoa, and brown rice. For a great diet plan, add a lot of locally grown fresh produce into your diet when it is in season. Prevent boredom with your diet, vary your food choices. You never know, you may stumble upon new healthy foods that you never even knew about.</p>
