<p>Vi abbiamo parlato recentemente di come <a href="https://www.giornaledellavela.com/2024/12/18/md-78/"><strong>Maxi Dolphin</strong> sia in questo periodo un cantiere in grande spolvero</a>, ma le novità in arrivo dalla Franciacorta sono tante, e non solo su misure big. Una delle future barche che metterà in acqua il cantiere è un daysailer, l’ <strong>MD 38</strong>, un progetto di Botin&amp;Partners, una barca che dai primi renders diffusi sembra un concentrato di stile.</p>
<h4>MD 38, un daysailer “stiloso”</h4>
<p>Larghezza contenuta, bordo libero basso, prua retta e tuga minimal, <strong>l’MD 38</strong> se dovessimo fare un paragone con l’automobilismo sarebbe un coupé che non passa inosservato. Pensato per navigazioni costiere, per essere usato sui laghi, ma non solo, è una barca anche con una chiara impronta sportiva, che avrà l’obiettivo prima di tutto di divertire il suo armatore in frizzanti navigazioni a vela.</p>

<p><strong>Personalizzabile in alcuni aspett</strong>i, si può scegliere il timone a barra o quello a ruota, la randa con punto fisso o dotata di carrello, il tavolo esterno o un pozzetto totalmente sgombro.</p>
<p>Il piano velico è generoso, con una randa Square top di quasi 50 mq e un fiocco autovirante di 33, alle andature portanti un gennaker di 115. La pala del timone sarà singola, il pescaggio della chiglia previsto è di 2,5 metri.</p>

<p>In <strong>Franciacorta</strong> c’è un cantiere che è un’eccellenza del <strong>Made</strong> <strong>in Italy, Maxi Dolphin,</strong> che ha costruito alcuni degli yacht più belli degli ultimi anni firmati da grandi progettisti. L’ultimissima novità si chiama MD 78, un progetto di Giovanni Ceccarelli.</p>
<h4>MD 78, un gioiello del made in Italy</h4>
<p><strong>Si tratta di un’imbarcazione puramente custom</strong> che nasce per le esigenze di un armatore che intendeva realizzare una barca in base alle sue idee e non trovava un prodotto di serie. L’armatore ha messo a punto con <strong>Giovanni Ceccarelli</strong> il concept della barca ed è stato scelto Maxi Dolphin come cantiere ideale per potere realizzare un progetto cucito su misura.</p>

<p>Le esigenze erano di realizzare una barca veloce che potesse essere condotta anche in poche persone. Uno scafo con forme potenti come linee d’acqua, con un buon momento raddrizzante dato dallo stesso scafo ma senza aumentare troppo la superficie bagnata.</p>
<p><strong>Il piano velico prevede una randa Square top e un fiocco al 103%</strong> montato su rotaie trasversali. Viene prevista anche una trinchetta, che invece lavora su una rotaia autovirante. Sono presenti due paterazzi con un sistema messo a punto dal progettista insieme al cantiere e all’azienda Cariboni: la regolazione può essere fatta tramite un winch o tramite un particolare pistone idraulico che gestisce in autonomia il cambio di mure nel caso in cui ci siano poche persone a bordo. La barca ha una lifting keel con un sistema Cariboni, con un pescaggio che va da 3,50 a 5,50 mt.</p>

<p><strong>Il design della tuga</strong> è armonioso e va a scomparire a filo di coperta poco a prua dell’albero. Il bordo libero è generoso, il pozzetto è ampio e su un unico livello dallo specchio di poppa fino al tambuccio di ingresso agli interni.</p>
<p>Gli <strong>interni</strong> tengono conto della presenza della Lifting keel, che è stata integrata: l’armatoriale è a prua,  ci sono due cabine ospiti, tutte a prua via della sezione maestra dove è ospitata la chiglia. La dinette ha uno sviluppo trasversale importante data l’ampia larghezza dello scafo. A poppa della dirette c’è una cucina, leggermente ribassata, più due cabine ampie per l’equipaggio dotate di servizi.</p>

<p>The MD55 by Botin Partners, built at Maxi Dolphin, is ready for the launch. <span class="av_dropcap1 av-av_dropcap1-3cd9da5fea0ef5fb27aee617571c39a3">I</span>ntended for an expert owner, is a cruiser with an easy sailer layout. It has a limited maximum beam, double rudders and the “V” hull recalls that of the TP52s from the Spanish studio. Fresh water tanks are also used as ballast to maximize upwind performance. The auxiliary engine is electric powered by solar panels on the coachroof and the bimini and lazy bags are also equipped with solar panels. A large central living room, owner’s room at the bow and two double rooms at the stern, the interiors.. The MD55 by Botin Partners will definitely be a major presence in International waters.</p>

<p>&#8220;One boat now waiting to go to sea, one in the process of being fitted out with interior furnishings and systems, and one about to be decked out.&#8221; Luca Botter CEO of Maxi Dolphin summarises where the shipyard is at in this final part of a 2023, a year packed with commitments and rewards. Not many custom boat yards can boast three builds running simultaneously: the MD55 (16.76 metres LOA), a project by Botin Partners now completed and scheduled for launch at the beginning of the new year, the MD63 (19.20 metres LOA), another Botin Partners project due in spring 2024, and the MD78 a project by Giovanni Ceccarelli Yacht Design that will be&#8221;closed&#8221;, that is the joining of the hull and the deck, by the end of the year. </p>
<p>The new boat, is a race cruiser measuring 23.95 metres LOA (22.73 metres at the waterline) with a maximum beam of 6.55 metres. The MD78 features a vertical bow, deep bow sections, wide but flared stern sections to reduce drag when the boat is heeling, a T-shaped lifting keel and double rudders. </p>
<p>The hull and deck are made on female moulds, and laminated in carbon fibre in wet lay-up using a technology developed by Maxi Dolphin that more sophisticated than infusion, and enabling to fully control the construction process, to minimise the input of resin and to obtain a high quality product. The process is completed by post-curing in the yard&#8217;s in-house 40-metre oven. On deck, a double cockpit and a profile barely marked by the long windowed deckhouse. The rig includes a Hall Spars mast, carbon boom and rigging, a squared top mainsail, a bowsprit for Code Zero or asymmetrical kites, and a 103% furling genoa. </p>
<p>The interiors, co-developed by Ceccarelli and the Maxi Dolphin Technical Office headed by engineer Giovanni Pizzati, include the owner&#8217;s suite and two VIP cabins fore of the living area, whilst aft there are two cabins for the crew.</p>
