Tim Be Told, hotshot up-and-coming band, is the guest du jour, and the hosts don't quite know how to react to the fact that the band is made up almost entirely of Asians. But music soothes the savage beast, or in this case, it quiets the offensive hosts---and my goodness, does this band play some fantastic music. Also, Adam and Nick update their Facebook-group battle (Adam: 57 members...Nick: 15) and Gottschalk's former roommate stops by with some stories about the good ol' days.

More than 10 weeks after first taking up residence at 301 15th St. NW, the new studio is almost complete...a real, live (well, not really "live") anchor desk is in place, courtesy Nick Noe (and Papa Noe)...the guys have put up a videoscreen, new microphones, and more, and worked overnight the previous day to get it all ready in time for this show. Why? Because a reporter from local publication "the Hook" is in attendance to interview the guys for a cover story, and she's brought a professional photographer in tow. Gotta look good for the close up. Guests on the program include Corey from 6 Day Bender (to look back on being dominated), Helen Horal, and, most notably, left-wing rabblerouser Mike Stark---he of Falafel-gate fame; the same guy once beaten up by George Allen's goons. Who says the MB can't be topical?

Sean Doolittle of the Oakland A's stops by to talk about baseball, autograph seekers, and life in the minors...he brings along former college teammate David "Tom Berenger" Caldwell, a failed athlete-turned-musician who brings a guitar and a couple original tunes. Bergenger manages to make Midnight Barbecue history -- in one segment, he plays indisputably the worst, and (just as indisputably) the best song ever heard on the program. In the second hour, "scum rocker" Dirt Road Randy Buttsex stops by, and leaves Adam and Nick (and all the viewers) scarred for life.

Adam and Nick (and Glenn America) are in rare form as they discuss what circumstances would be acceptable to take a human life (I'm not kidding, do NOT touch Adam's hat), debate whether NASCAR is a sport, and try to pick the best political "stage name." Also, the guys are joined in studio by former college basketball coach Pete Gillen (who settles the NASCAR argument by stating that "if you can't play defense, it's not a sport") for a half hour of fast-paced chaos like only coach Gillen can provide...

We Are Massive Celebrities

The MB finds itself, curiously, on the cover of a popular local news magazine (the Hook)...enormously inflating the ego of all involved (in spite of a few, um, unfortunate quotes that found their way into the article, which may jeopardize Adam and Nick's future employment---but hey, small price to pay)...Aside from reviewing the article, the guys are joined by two lovely representatives of "Flirt", a local lingerie boutique, for a conversation about all things underthings... Plus, Nick asks Adam to do a live blog from a dinner with an ex-girlfriend, Glenn America ("Glenny Blue J?") steps it up, and due to their newfound Celebrity (capital "C") status, the guys decide to endorse a presidential candidate (O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma)...

The first show taped IN the new studio (albeit, while it was still very much under construction) was a classic....first, folk-rocker Mariana Bell stopped by, fresh off recording her new CD in New York and Los Angeles, and brought a guitar (plus a tea-set, and vodka). Then, the second half of the show featured a professional DJ (Rob Bedford, AKA DJ XSV) giving Adam and Nick a lesson in how to "spin" (one which they both failed), performing a set, and playing an unlikely (but, actually, not terrible) duet with Mariana.

Adam and Nick tear through 90-minutes of good ol' fashioned "throwback 'cue," debating what exactly constitutes a "hook-up," analyzing the alleged top-10 "buzz-words" of '07 (popcorn-lung?! vajayjay??), and discussing the last six months in the life of Amy Winehouse -- notably how exactly she ended up looking like a cross between a transvestite Lance Armstrong, and former first-lady Nancy Reagan. Also, reporter Lindsay Barnes stops by to give some background on a legal case in nearby Staunton, VA; one involving a pornography store versus a bible-thumping District Attorney who goes to great lengths to describe (in x-rated detail) what exactly happens to people who walk into the establishment.

Sam Wilson (Sons of Bill) and Brian Chenault (Sun Domingo) stop by to play a couple tunes from their new collaboration, currently playing across the eastern US under the name "Sam Wilson". That moniker only lasts a segment, though, as they choose a new name on the air, then play some amazing country/folk/rock music in studio. Throw in some early-'90's Orioles trivia, a rock-draft reprise, and plenty of full-on "f 'n metal"...and you've got a show for the ages. One lowlight, though --- Adam and Sam discover that they once played baseball against each other, then proceed to bore the listeners (and Nick, and everyone else in studio) to tears for the next few minutes while reminiscing about their mainly-nonexistent glory days.
