Over the past twenty years of designing and riding off road wheels MBS has amassed a mountain of knowledge we are very proud to unleash on the dirt community in the form of the MBS RockStar II Hub (RSII). The original Rockstar hub served well in its day but riders are taking the sport to new levels every day and MBS is dedicated to being the brand to take them there, and beyond…. With the highest strength to weight ratio of any injection-moulded hub on the market, unprecedented impact resistance, and increased stiffness to handle higher tyre pressure (up to 80psi depending on tyre rating) the MBS RockStar II Hub is going to make many riders very happy. With aluminium grade performance at an injection-moulded price, how could you not be?

Ben and Emlyn hit up Court Farm!

New MBS riders for 2013 Emlyn Bainbridge and Ben Searle popped over to Court Farm to check out the new foam pit and ride some dirt. It is hard to keep riding during winter sometimes when the ground has been so wet for so long – so it is good to know you havnt forgotten how to ride completely!

Me and Ben met up with Connor and Will at Court Farm last weekend to hit the new foam pit and see if we could still ride dirt jumps. Looks like Ben’s still got it!

Growing the Team for 2013

We are very pleased to announce that we have 4 new team riders for 2013!! Over the last couple years these riders have been progressing leaps and bounds and have really started to make a name for themselves in the UK scene. Give these boys a few years and we reckon theyâ€™ll be up there riding with the best!

Introducing:

Mark Adams â€“ a local rider at Haleâ€™s Superbole, Mark is only 13 years old and has been riding for 3 short years; he is already throwing some of the biggest backflips and frontflips at the UK competitions, not to mention his super smooth 3s and the occasional 540! Mark Adams may be young, but he rips harder than most people twice his age and is regularly on the podium for freestyle and boardercross, winning the overall Juniorâ€™s/U16â€™s title in 2012! This boy is one to watch, weâ€™re sure heâ€™ll be at the top of the game in no time.

Ben Searle â€“ Team rider at Bugs Boarding, Ben is only 16 and has been riding 5 years and already has the infamous 720 under his belt! Off the back of a perfect/unbeaten season, there is no way we couldnâ€™t sponsor him! Ben regularly makes videos through the summer, and you can usually find them here: Ben Searle on Youtube

Emlyn Bainbridge â€“ Another team Bugs rider, Emlyn also has 720s under his belt as well as a range of other tricks including rodeos. Emlyn spent 2012 competing in the Pro category giving Matt Brind and James Wanklyn a run for their money. At only 17, Emlyn has many successful years ahead of him! Amon Shaw â€“ last but definitely not least, is Amon. We actually started supporting Amon a couple of years ago after he won the Juniors at the Cream Teas and Jam event series. Amon is known for having a super smooth style and some serious jib skills (not to mention the ability to backflip anything!). He first stepped on a board in 2009 and has been jumping high and making a name for himself ever since! Check out Amonâ€™s videos here: North Shaw Productions

The New MBS Pro 90 now available to pre order!

Last week we unveiled the new Pro 90, then took it down to the BKSA finals at Westward Ho! to show it off to the world. The feedback has been great! The board is performing well and looks amazing in the flesh. The new Bamboost deck technology, combining bamboo, maple and fibreglass feels really nice. The tried and tested components we have paired it with make a really nice board.

One of our main aims was to replicate the performance of the original Pro 90, but at a much more accessible price point. We have achieved this and everyone has been pleasantly surprised when we unveiled the new board would retail at Â£379.

There is only one shipment of Pro 90s arriving in 2012. This will be arriving just before Christmas. Pre orders are now open and going very well.

2012 Pro 90 Kiteboard first details!

We have been working away on creating a 2012 Pro 90. It has been a long time coming. We have kept a lot of elements of the original Pro 90 and changed others. The shape is largely unchanged except it is 2cm wider in the middle – we feel this improves the flex pattern. The layup is totally new. We listened to feedback and tried to create Pro 90 performance at a much more accessible price point. We feel we have done pretty well on this getting the price to Â£379.

The material we have decided to work on is bamboo. The properties of bamboo are fairly well known, and its use in longboards and skis etc is well documented. When worked into a mountainboard deck, it provides great pop and pretty low weight. A complete Pro 90 weighs in at 5.2kg.

The graphics are again done by Dan at Decreate – this is one of the best board graphics we have seen in a long time!

The boards are now available to pre order from your local stockist! Delivery will be the first week of December. We will have demo boards available this weekend at Westward Ho!

Matt Brind Promo Video

This has been a big year for Matt Brind – he has dominated competitions all over the place and finally been crowned World Freestyle Champion this summer in Moscow. He is one of the most technical riders out there with a massive bag of tricks. Check out his 2012 Promo video!
