No one likes to deal with people who overreact.

Some people, and you know who they are, and some of them might even be YOU, react with an outburst or negative response at first when when they hear some news about something, someone or even themselves. I've learned how to NOT do this - because I get loads of mail from people who just don't like me, who think I'm a bitch, a cow, or even a 'lesbo' (one of my favs) and varying degrees of such.

If you are alone at home, it may be fine; stomp your feet get loud... but if you are in front of others or alerting others to this reaction, you're setting the wrong example and setting yourself up for future abuse!

One important behavior is to learn to remain calm, cool, and collected in the face of adversity. I am not saying that you cannot be firm with someone and tell them the consequences of his or her behaviors. I am saying that we need to stay in control. Sure, give your opinion . . . but wait until YOU are sure that you have all the facts and that you know all of the details of what you have heard and why it is relevant. Or is it?

It is very difficult to communicate all of the thinking that goes into every decision a person makes unless you deal daily and directly with that person. Sometimes you get news second hand and have to disseminate that which you've heard. Sometimes it is all bullshit and slanted just to piss you off. But over reacting generally gives one the impression that you've touched a nerve or hit on a grain of truth rather than saying - "Not a big deal and certainly you've got it all wrong!"

Have you ever been to a sports event for kids, such as a soccer game or Little League game and witnessed an overreacting parent who is yelling at the coach or the referees or, even worse, the kids? Remember how stupid you thought that person was. People overreact with their spouses, partners, children, relatives, friends, and even strangers sometimes. Stay cool, stay calm, stay collected, so that you will be thought of as a leader who is thoughtful and in charge versus being thought of as out-of-control.

My blogs tend to stir the pots in more ways than one. It brings people out of the woodwork and certainly subjects me to less than stellar commentary from some who seriously have a hard time expressing themselves. People have questioned my motives, called me out and claimed slander and yet others just think I'm a nutbag... BUT one of the main things people seem to lose when diatribing at me is that I write this blog for ME. Not for them. I write to share my thoughts and views on varying subjects... I write because I WANT TO. I don't do it for you. I don't care if you like it or don't. I don't MAKE you read it. But like a siren call, some people cannot help but come back time and again and share their disturbing opinions of me.

You know who you are and I would like you to lose my email address - I've already sent you to SPAM.

Do you know how to relax? I don’t mean in theory… like you know what the word means. What I’m asking is, do you know how to actually DO it? In order to answer YES to that question, you need to have successfully relaxed at least once in your life.

The word “relax” is an action verb… it is something you do; in fact, it is something you must choose to do. No one else can make you relax. According to Aristotle, contemplation (simply sitting and thinking) is the highest form of human activity. So not only is relaxing an activity, but it is one we should all strive to master. I wonder how many of us aspire to perfect the art of relaxing? How many of us practice in order to learn to do it well?

I’m guessing not many.

But there are a few out there who strive to do less. There are those of us who have come to realize that being busy all the time is pointless and futile. Some of us know that the key to happiness is not to do more, have more, and be more, but to just be. Sure we still want to achieve things, and have goals in life; but one of our main goals is to have time to enjoy life. Everything else is secondary to that.

Whatever it is that nourishes your soul and makes you feel alive, that is what you need to do to relax. I cannot begin to express to you how important it is to de-stress from your busy life and this, in itself will help you become a NON reactor. Some countries, like Spain, make it almost impossible NOT to relax during certain times, (Siesta) since all the stores close and the towns shut down. I guess they recognize the long-term value of down time. I’m a big fan of schedules that include a siesta. Work for about four hours, then take anywhere from one to four hours off, then get back to work… if you still feel like it.

So when someone pisses you off; don't overreact with a quick, mean e-mail, voice mail, or public outcry when you feel a bit offended. Take your time to gather the facts; and then if you really think you have a case, go and make it. Be armed with the facts so you are not labeled as a hothead who acts emotionally. In this way you will show that You Have Learned Not To Overreact.

Supporters of Phil Spector are coming forward yet again; the most outspoken of these loyal supporters very well might be Ms. Sandra Horine. She is an articulate lady who has been a big fan of Phil’s for numerous years. She is on Team Spector’s top friends list. She has received letters from Phil in prison. Sandra is outraged by Rachelle Spector’s latest stunt: this time, it’s the revision to her own website.

www.rachellespector.com Up until fairly recently, the previous site was a simple black background with big white letters saying PHIL SPECTOR = INNOCENT. Plus “I love my husband,” and “Together for over 5 years, yeah us.” Simplistic, very Chelle-centric. But at least right away, you saw that it was at least partially about Phil.

Flash forward to this week. Mrs. Spector (with help of “girlwerks”)
has unveiled a new, glossier looking website. Black background is banished. Instead now we see a smiling, contented looking RS with a Pepto-bismol pink background, flaunting a big ring. How apropos considering her website is puke-inducing for Phil’s detractors AND fans alike.

Allow me to pick apart my observations, and I welcome all of yours!!
So please, fans of PS, don’t be scared, come forward.

What about this site do certain fans find offensive? The first link on the bottom left of RS’s page is “ABOUT RACHELLE.” Does that not speak volumes? After all it seems clearly it IS all about Rachelle. The first paragraph claims that RS is a “multi-talented woman with a legacy attached to her name.” In other words, PS has made her. Without PS, she’s nothing. In fact the entire first paragraph is all that PHIL has accomplished, no thanks to RS having ANYTHING to do with it.

The next paragraph describes an “ebullient” Mrs. Spector. She just loves remodeling homes and has a passion for it. Ok let’s get this straight, folks, PS is in PRISON and RS is gleefully going about her business. Then the site claims that RS is an accomplished musician, but where is the resume to back that one up? She claims she never knew who PS was. Now forgive me, but I’d think most musicians would of at least have some inkling? She also lies about where they met. She says Dan Tana’s. Mihelle Blaine, who has proof, says Jerry’s Deli-where RS worked as a lowly waitress. She tries to downplay her star-struck hungry for fame association with Spector. It should come across insulting to PS actually-for she says she grew up in a “different era” as if Spector is some musical dinosaur. But what I found most disturbing, as I am sure fans of PS would too, is the fact that RS gleefully goes on bragging about her OWN MUSIC, and that PS and RS are going to record seven more tracks to finish an album. First of all, how is that logistically possible? Her husband is in PRISON, being treated like a dog (as she has alleged). And she has the audacity to speak of her music that Spector will help her with right now, while he suffers?

If she does not want to come across as an opportunistic gold-digger, even the most passionate fan of PS cannot overlook this huge faux pas.

How about her mentioning how she just loves running, roller-blading, cycling and eating and indulging in ice cream occasionally and being oh-so-happy about how McDonald’s coke “for some reason seems to taste better than anyone else’s?” Or how she just loves to cook? FOR WHOM??? HER HUSBAND IS ROTTING IN PRISON, GETTING THREE SQUARE CRAPPY MEALS A DAY? Wasn’t she just interviewed saying how much she misses PS, wakes up in daily panic attacks, etc?

Does RS expect us to feel sorry for her as she says her dad was never really there for the family? She claims she had to assume an adult role early on and that somehow prepared her to care for her husband now. What has she done to help this guy? Well, she has done many interviews to any reporter who will listen. Team Spector has put up videos of her interviews, and I am confused by that. She simply does not make a good spokesperson for PS. She makes way too many conflicting statements and comes across as plastic and fake.

What might be most barf-worthy for non-fans and fans alike? She claims she will help restore PS’s name, honor and legacy. She plans to let “nothing stand in her way” of doing just that. In my opinion, her own words are standing in the way. In my opinion, this website does not scream “loyal supportive wife of Phil Spector,” but rather, “opportunistic gold-digger hoping to release a CD while her poor husband rots in prison.” Need any more convincing? If a picture paints a thousand words, you need only see the photo on her “links” page. There, the grieving, depressed wife of PS can be seen smiling, dressed to the nines, shiny car in the background and waving a “victory sign.” All whilst her husband is not feeling so victorious---in a hell called prison.

Michael Jackson Dead at 50

Wow. My father reported this to me earlier and I must say I am astounded! His sound is something we all grew up with and in spite of his shortcomings and legal battles, his questionable attention to children... he leaves a pop legacy unrivaled by anyone.

He was born August 28, 1958 - one of 9 kids. His father reportedly nicknamed him "Big Nose". And needless to say that all changed... Michale was born a cute African-American guy. "Normal", if you will, and very talented. Despite the current, sad stories about his lonely, sad childhood, Mike grew up surrounded by famous people and an adoring public. At age 5, Mike and his brothers were the amazing 'Jackson 5'. They played locally, then in New York and Philly. They were "discovered" by Gladys Knight and pianist Billy Taylor at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem. By age 11, Mike was a Superstar. At age 13 he went solo and had his first #1 hit at 14 with "Ben" (a touching love song to a rat). Who knew he'd get addicted to plastic surgery, face accusations of child molestation and end up dead at 50 from 'cardiac arrest'? Terribly sad.

The 50-year old was not breathing when they arrived. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda says.

Jackson is renting a home in the Holmby Hills in the 100 block of Carolwood Drive off Sunset Boulevard. It is only a few minutes from the UCLA Medical Center.

Jackson's mother, Katherine, arrived at UCLA around 2:30 p.m. Jackson's father, Joe, who is in Las Vegas, told reporters earlier that son was "not doing well."

His sister Latoya reportedly ran from the hospital emergency room in tears after seeing her brother.

The emergency entrance at the UCLA Medical Center has been roped off Thursday with police tape. News trucks surrounded the hospital, helicopters flew overhead, and traffic was being redirected.

I hope that his children finally get to lead a life that is 'normal' and that they're nicknames are something like "Joe" or "Billy" - "Alice" or "Jane" so they can get past the 'titles' bestowed upon them by the true King of Pop.

Guest Blog from Fergie concerning Rachelle and her LACK of a fanbase!

I've had many emails concerning my post about Rachelle's behavior and her actions since Phil was locked up. Many of Phil's supporters have gone out of their way to let me know that while they may not agree with me concerning his responsibility in Lana's demise, that they definitely think that Rachelle is a detriment and fear that she will run his businesses and what remains of his acomplishments into the ground with her childish behavior. She is perceived by so many as a gold digger and wannabe who will stop at nothing to achieve a modicum of fame and this is her only path to stardom or her 15 minutes. She claims Phil produced her singing something and I have to laugh because I saw her live, heard her CD, "Chelle Shocked", and had to be the one to tell her FOR Phil that she sucked. Phil doesn't generally make it a habit of producing music with untalented people, in spite of his relationship with them - so I have to say, now, that if she releases a CD while he is behind bars 'claiming' that he produced it - I would be very wary. Not to mention that with Phil's ego, if he honestly thought something was worth producing, he would have let it be released long before his incarceration.

So, without further ado .... Here's Fergie!

Thank you MB for giving me the honor of writing a guest blog. As we all know, even though you feel Phil Spector is guilty of murder and I see what happened as an accident, you've always been kind enough to not bash my views, or others' views expressed here. I applaud you for that.

As we are both keenly aware, there is growing discontent among Phil Spector's supporters in regards to the way Rachelle Spector has been going about her business of "helping" him.. You and I both have received several emails from fans of his who disagree with the way she is conducting herself. Most of them are too afraid to speak out about this. However, in the past few days a courageous fan named Sandra, who is a member of the Free Phil Spector UK group has come forward to me. She has graciously allowed us to use her name and her quote. I applaud the honesty of this brave and nice lady and encourage others who might feel "afraid" to come forward too. I understand people might not want to upset the apple cart or make waves, but if Phil Spector doesn't really know what his wife is up to,

he should.

Melissa Huckaby Pleads Not Guilty to All Charges in the Sandra Cantu Murder Case

Huckaby says she's not guilty of all charges in connection with the kidnapping, rape, and murder of eight-year old Sandra Cantu. Huckaby entered the plea Friday afternoon during a two-minute long hearing in a San Joaquin County Superior Court.

Huckaby entered the not guilty plea and also denied the enhancements prosecutors are charging in the case. A preliminary hearing is scheduled to start on Thursday, September 24th at 9:00 a.m. in Department 36 in Stockton.

After the hearing, Anna Lopez, a self-described friend of the Cantu family expressed frustration about the latest developments in the case.

"I think it's a pretty frustrating," Lopez said. "Here you've got this child who is no longer with us. The person who is alive has more rights than anybody else does."

Lopez says the victim's family is hoping Huckaby gets sent to prison for the rest of her life.

"Most certainly I would like to see her get life at a minimum," Lopez added. "This is a very innocent child. There needs to be some justice for Sandra."

According to PEOPLE "Melissa Huckaby, 28, occasionally smiled during the hearing, and said "yes" when asked by San Joaquin County Superior Court Judge Linda Lofthus if it was okay that the court take breaks during the six-day hearing to handle any other matters requiring its attention."

Too sad, took her 4 appearances to enter a plea and now it will be September (the end of) before even a prelim.? WTH? I'd like to know if SHE entered the plea or if the judge had to for her...

Just isn't enough coverage on this horribly tragic story.

UPDATE! It has been shut down. Thanks to Blogonaut for their tireless advocacy of our patience points!

As you may (or may not - as I don't know how many of you venture over to her crazed ranting blog) know, Kelley Lynch has disparaged Lana on her blog for being “gay” and certain police in LA (i.e., the LAPD, Spector prosecutors, LA DA investigators) for being in a “gay” conspiracy with LC.

She also said yesterday “Kelley identifies further slander - by Blogonut (sic) who may possibly be gay. Sure looks that way but who can say for certain. Maybe Agent Wynar/FBI Oakland can find out.”

It turns out that sexual orientation is a protected group on Google Blogger (like race, national origin, being a combat vet etc.) and treading into that area is a violation of the anti-“hate speech” terms of use policy.

I am therefore suggesting that you, and your readers, flag her blog at http://philspectorandkelleylynch.blogspot.com/ by clicking on the flag blog tab, then putting the dot in the circle next to “Hate or violence”, click continue, click continue again, click submit.

Rachelle hits the News Circuit Hard! From Gold Digger to Fame Seeker... Finally getting her 15 minutes or so.

In the foyer where Clarkson lost her life, a bouquet of roses are now seen with a message to Rachelle reading: "My dearest Rachelle, Although I am in prison, I am your prisoner of life. Love, Your loving husband, Phillip."

Since when are prisoners allowed to order flowers for their beloved??? I think it is far more likely Rachelle pulled a wallflower and had them sent to herself! You know, for her birthday.... 'your prisoner of life' what the fuck is that supposed to mean? The Spector I knew was far more articulate and grammatically unchallenged than this line would have you belive. That line falls under the heading of "...I find myself to be intelligent."

Why, I also wonder, has she stated that she "... vows to do whatever she can to convince the public that her husband should not be in prison." What does John Q. Public have to do with his ultimate release from the pokey? I'll tell you, NOTHING. She is moving from gold digger to fame seeker - that's all. Hopping from one interview to the next, filling reporters (who aren't doing such a bang up job of reporting - BTW, given the article slants) heads and notepads with lies and garbage. But, like the trial, it will ALL come out in the end. I mean the discrepancies alone should tell the tale - don't reporters look into things BEFORE printing them? I thought investigation was an integral part of 'reporting'. Look at the article for the Bev Hills Courier and then the follow up for the Times... just read thru each and note the 'lies' or whatever you want to call them.

When asked if she was a gold digger she responded, "That's ridiculous and preposterous but, you know, people are going to think what they want to think and believe what they want to believe, and not everyone is going to like me."

No one likes her. No one but her mother (who is probably also on her, (err Spectors) payroll) and the others she doles out tips to. If I recall correctly she purchased the majority of her pals at the local Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and then a couple more from a nursing service she used after her surgery. (The teeth surgery). Probably used the same folks after she got the boobs she claimed she was promised from Phil as a belated gift, birthday or Christmas I don't recall... but I do remember her insistence that she "would get those new boobs..." followed by a little foot stomp!

She has to know that not one person, (including the press from what I've heard) believes a thing she is saying. A liar begins with making falsehood appear like truth, and ends with making truth itself appear like falsehood... So, in other words, Miss Prevaracator-Short, we're calling bullshit. And it's too bad - because now that you haven't spoken an iota of truth to the press or the Spector followers (who don't like you either), you've fallen into the 'never can be believed' trap.

“A liar will not be believed, even when he speaks the truth.”

PS: Rachelle may often ..."sit in the same 'area' as the chair where Lana died" However, it is impossible for her to sit in the 'chair' Lana passed in because it is still a piece of evidence with the state of CA. And Phil had me replace the chair with a 'look alike' for that area. When it couldn't be matched exactly, I had to have 2 new ones made to 'replicate' the murder chair.

Between the fauxtwitter accounts and TV - Spector seems to still be garnering thoughts and actions. Rachel (the former model) managed to get her mug on the tube (and what a mug shot!) She has aged to 40 years+ and that is a hefty pricetag for her loyalty.

While I didn't tune in to the bleeding heart story I was informed about it from my TV pals in the IE know (thanks for that) - and they got quite a good giggle out of her proported 'stand by my man' attitude. Also the estimated worth of Spector now being touted at 50million? Nice! I hope the Clarkson family was made privvy to that figure - since it came directly from Rachelle. :) I am sure she'll be a BIG help in assiting them in finding his assets. Those she hasn't already helped herself too, not that she's digging for gold or anything. "... always been attracted to older men..." OLDER and by older she meant elderly, when you're in your 20s older is generally someone in their 40s not 60s. Daddy complex? In my opinion, there is a lot more than just the years that separate her from Spector He's had a heck of a lot more life experience than she has. Rachelle's in her late twenties, a time in life when she should be just beginning to become sure of who she is and what she wants. She should be creating her life while he was already in the prime of his. If she'd been 50 and he was 65, I wouldn't have been as concerned about the age difference as both of them would have had ample time to experience life and mold their own identity. By dating someone so much older, she is missing out on being with someone who is in the same phase of life that she is; someone with whom you can share the joys and pitfalls of discovery. By this time, life was supposed to have yanked him out of the game and thrown him onto his Lazyboy, out in the suburbs of Alhambra, with a family, watching network television... not so Spector.

Let's face it one day she'll just be another of those vapid women who meet up at the local Coffee Bean to whine about the empty lives they chose and the broke, impotent men they are now stuck with. I should have turned Phil onto this WIKI long ago - but alas I just didn't care enough. Besides I hoped he would stop hitting on me once he hooked up with another gold digger! Crazy Jennifer was still around but he;d already paid her off with jewels to rival a queen! (and they were real!) But Rachelle did fall into the vast majority of these catagories. Ah well, perhaps this will help some other rich dude out there that she may try to snag onto once his 50 million in assets are gone.

(I am 59. I feel old. Feels as though the entire world is young enough to be PS's offspring EXCEPT for me, LOL). So I can understand where you're coming from. Here's my response, respectfully.
MB's got a great sense of humor. "RS looks 40 years older" I believe was meant sarcastically. It's clear if you look at any photos from just an 8 year range--her at 21, then at 29, you will see a whopping difference. The camera doesn't lie.
And yes, I agree, I am sure stress has a lot to do with it. But she could have left at any time. She chose to sit through two trials and could have left at anytime.
Again, I agree. I would hope that 60 is the new 40 since I am pushing it hard! You are right, there are plenty of young, opportunistic women out there, what's so wrong about including RS in that mix? Hope you're not saying you believe RS is gorgeous-she's just younger. And yes, I concur-any SEASONED gentleman like myself and yourself would be happy to have a younger woman on our arm. But let's not flatter her too much. She's far from "hot."

I think it more has to do with PS's choice in RS as a wife, not his choice in women. I've never heard MB being harsh towards Ronnie Spector or Janis Zavala. And she seems to respect Jennifer Ellis' ability to sniff out fake jewelry also.

We're not faulting RS for doing the "occasional" dumb thing.
I wouldn't call this laundry list occasional:
-Posting a nude pic of herself DURING her husband's trial
-Illegally taking photos of a blogger inside a courtroom and writing insidious things about this blogger on the web
-Taking a proud photo of our MB and
placing a despicable caption underneath (it stank of libel if I recall) and adding it to her profile for ALL to see (BTW, Phil's CLOSE friends DELETED comments that had this pic on there. Surely out of embarrassment to them and to PS!)
Oh--and Myspace DELETED the account in case you didn't know that one..they thought it was a SERIOUS enough act of ABUSE to do so..
-Allowing a photo of RS standing, grinning next to a real gun to surface DURING her husband's murder trial involving a GUN.
Beyond dumb.
-Going nuts, leaving one of PS's close friends five to six flirty virtual "kisses" on his website, once again, during her husband's murder trial. (Which the friend smartly removed-must have been told to by PS or felt quite uncomfortable about it himself!)
-Putting up a photo on the web implying this close friend of PS's went on a "date" with RS all while her poor husband was at home, languishing about the trial
-Having a history of deterring any female friends of PS away over insane amounts of jealousy. Supportive? Nah, just jealous.
-Foot stomping and door slamming to get her way with PS, and overtly using him for his wallet-to get a bigger ring, a newer car, etc.
-Threatening a sitting Judge over the Internet.
-Talking back to him in a court disrespectfully while her husband's head bowed down (he looked embarrassed!)
-Classlessly humping her husband like a dog after the first trial for a pitiful looking "victory" dance. Again-look at PS's body language-he's completely embarrassed to be there. Videotape doesn't lie.
-Falling ASLEEP in court while her beloved husband is on trial the second time around--at one point dozing so deeply that she had to even leave the courtroom and text on her Blackberry instead of being inside with her husband

Not just a few dumb things---many things that youth cannot excuse.
It paints the portrait of a woman who really doesn't give a hoot about her husband and who is just going through the motions. She HAS made HIM look bad, time and time again.

I have not shared this before, but a few of his supporters have confided in me via email because I'm not someone who completely hates PS and I have empathy for the guy,
moreso than many friends here. They quietly tell me they do NOT approve of RS and her actions, but don't dare go public about it because they don't want to make bad waves.
To me, this is the most striking truth of it all.

I'll cut us elderly guys slack. However, please understand me for not being able to cut RS ANY slack for all the dumb things she's done and how she's made her husband look so bad. Now she's hopping on the interview wagon.. Too little, too late I believe/

Maybe it's Rachelle, quite possibly it's Nicole (an aspiring writer) but knowing not only his style but his meter and verbiage - that's definitely not murderer Phil Spector but rather a wannabe duping the twitterverse. Clever though it may be I have confirmed that Spector does not have a laptop in his cell with a highspeed wireless connection or an iPod - the latter also considered contraband. The UK 'press' always seems to fall for the practical jokes, eh Mick?

The other giveaway, which true know it alls should have recognized, is that he would never have considered following Yoko - he despises her and thinks she's a stupid 'bleep' who ruined his brother John. He also doesn't speak Japanese nor does he know how to navigate past Outlook! So the babelverse is out of his knowledge range LMAO.

Finally? He would NEVER refer to his 'hair' as a wig - and everyone who is in the 'know' knows that! And he would have chosen a flattering photo for his avatar - he's always been vain.

So much for his Orthodox tendencies - I didn't see a kippah on his wig during sentencing. He probably ate bacon for breakfast too! Cie la vie, eh? That's frenchy for classless shithead, right? Just joshing, I know it means Phil got life.

I was reading up on his upcoming sale - and found it interesting that Rachelle is in charge of the disposition of his uhhh artifacts - though I suppose, as his wifey, she is the logical - next in line. I worry over Nicole and the boys though - and frankly, I worry over Nicole's mother as well. A kind woman who exists in a home at the bottom of the hill, below the castle, that Phil was paying for. I hope she worked something out for herself as he promised to care for her needs as Nicole's mother. Though I have heard from some that she has been a nasty piece of work where Gary and Louis were concerned so I am not sure if the times I shared with her were all a show. Can't trust anyone eh? What amuses me more about the reports is that they refer to his house as a 'mansion' - lol, it is hardley worthy of such a title. I hope whomever decides to 'purchase' it gets a good home inspector because that place is FALLING APART! The roof needs to be completely redone, the exterior stucco is in shambles, he gets cited constantly for code violations as the property is over-run in brush!

The fountain needs to be torn down and repoured, cracked all over! The basement leaks EVERYTIME it rains (just like the roof and turret rooms!) Anyhow I think the $800,000 estimated value is a hair over zealous. Maybe $500,000 with concessions.

It's kinda weird that I feel sorry for them. Sorry for the kids, even sorry for Rachelle. Now what's she going to do? Sell her rings? Her car? Her youth? Oh, wait, she already sold that, and for a pittance I might add. A reporter asked me a couple days ago how old she was when they met and how old she is now - I told him she's younger than one of my oldest kids (he's 27 now) and they looked at a photo I have and said "HUH?" I know, right? He said he thought she had paid for everything with her looks and now she can't trade on those because they got all used up. That makes me sad for her... because honestly? Her looks and banging body were all she had... My older boys were funny (albeit crude) when they stated that no one would EVER touch her with a 10 footer knowing she'd been nekked with Phil... So, yeah, that is her stigma and what will she do? I feel sorry for her. In spite of the mean bitch I know her to be, I also understand that she had to maintain her loyalty to the wallet of Spector. So I forgive her that. Been there.

In November 2007, an angry LA County Superior Court Judge Larry Fidler slapped Rachelle Spector with a gag order, after she made comments to the press he said could affect the trial. The comments, which she had made in two separate interviews to CourtTV.com and the Sunday Mail, included a critique of the jury as "12 people who voted for George Bush" and an assertion that Judge Larry Fidler "doesn't like me."

Most recent, "I can't comment to that." When asked if Phil was ever violent or aggressive towards her. (Shouldn't she just have answered definitively?)

Updated @11:47am pst. 19 years to Life. I am not sure what that means, or when he will be eligible for parole - I look to my readers for answers to this. I understand he was also asked to pay restitution, which he did in that moment, with cashiers checks. The total amount paid to both Clarkson women is unknown to me but I am happy to report it will not affect the civil case and any award they will receive. Donna Clarkson read a very heartfelt statement finishing with, "... I trust the court will be fair." And it seems it was, fair. That's all! It's done until the civil litigation and the appeal. Thank you readers.

Today Judge Fidler will impose the sentence on Phil Spector for his actions in causing the death of Lana Clarkson. Though in a court document filed this last Wednesday stating that 'Spector maintains he did not kill actress Lana Clarkson and is not responsible for her death we can surmise he has still not owned up to his part in this horrible tragedy'.

His attorney, Doron Weinberg, wrote in a memorandum to the sentencing judge, however, that Spector’s prison sentence on a second-degree murder conviction should be 18 years to life in prison.

It's almost over. Donna Clarkson, Lana's mother, is slated to read a prepared statement to the court, and Phil will remain stoic and silent. I suppose the question is, "Will Phil have his hair? Or will he be sporting the kippah of an orthodox jew (resplendent with the long curls, perhaps) which he has recently claimed to be, to avoid being completely naked on top - I suppose many people find their religion in jail/prison though I'd imagine it isn't one so strict and regimental. An orthodox jew adheres to a relatively strict interpretation and application of the laws and ethics of the Torah.

Orthodox Jews are expected to observe all 613 mitzvot, certain core practices are generally considered essential to being Orthodox and converts are generally required to promise to observe:

* Refraining from murder, (kinda blew this one already, eh?) idolatry, (this one too - if greenbacks could be considered and idol?) and certain biblically-prohibited sexual practices such as adultery and incest, (he is a product of an incestuous relationship between his mother and his mother's first cousin, if recollection serves.)
* Shabbat, refraining from activities that violate the Jewish sabbath, and Jewish holidays.
* Kashrut, the Jewish dietary laws. (I'm not sure prison food conforms to these practices.)
* Taharat Hamishpacha, the laws of family purity, (i.e. no shiksas and as I recall, Rachelle is definitely a shiksa!) restricting sexual relations for a prescribed period around menstruation and after childbirth.
* Circumcision for males.

We all knew OJ would appeal his armed robbery and kidnapping verdict/sentence.

He's supposed to serve a term of up to 33 years in prison, with eligibility for parole after nine years. A jury convicted Simpson on charges in October 2008. He was sentenced last December.

In the 47-page brief filed Tuesday, Simpson's attorneys accuse Clark County, Nevada, District Judge Jackie Glass of judicial misconduct, saying her behavior constituted "cumulative error that was so egregious and prejudicial that the defense could not get a fair trial." Sounds like the murmurings of one Whineyburg last month!

They said thst Judge Glass, (just insert Fidler here, right?) inflicted herself into the trial proceedings, issued improper jury instructions, improperly admitted hearsay evidence and refused to allow defense attorneys to fully cross-examine witnesses, the filing alleges. Blah, blah, blah... he still killed Nicole and Ron and all they finally got him on was TAPE - being the bully we know him to be... the other irony? Phil thinks the 'Juice' got a 'raw deal' being labeled a killer and stripped of his Heisman et al. "That fucking c**t ruined his life..." has a familiar ring to it.

Attorney's for Simpson also said Glass wouldn't allow defense counsel to ask prospective jurors about their "known and unknown" biases, the brief said, and allowed prosecutors to strike the only two African-American potential jurors eligible to be on the jury. Wonder if Whineburg and co. will say Fidler wouldn't allow the defense counsel to ask if they liked or disliked Spector's music.

"Because of the unique nature of the case, a full and complete questioning of potential jurors needed to take place," the appeal said. "The District Court gave no deference to the fact that Simpson brought a lot of baggage into the courtroom."

Reflections aren't always in mirrors

I still cannot believe that when I wake up in my yummy bed each morning, next to my delicious husband and beautiful baby that it took six + long years, two trials and probably millions of California taxpayer dollars to finally send Phil ”Mr. Wall of Murder/Sound” Spector to prison. He was finally convicted for the February, 2003 murder of Lana Clarkson. The sick little man goes to jail and quite possibly could be on the receiving end for his brand of fun with a cellmate he formerly referred to as 'Bubba'!

This long-running Los Angeles trial, personified in the troll-doll-like Spector, could have freed the son of a bitch, which would have been a giant slap in the face to decent Americans and WOMEN everywhere. But they didn't. They listened, they took it all in and they made a decision based on FACTS. Surprising, considering how the media did everything they could to make out that Lana, the murder victim, was a suicidal shiksa and then they totally ignored the V2 trial.

Then there's Doron Weinberg, who blamed it all on Lana committing suicide which, of course, she happened to be unable to argue for herself. In rhythm with the defense, the US media never failed to mention the woman’s “failing B-movie career” — who just up and decided to end her life on that particular night using Spector’s own pistol - even though she had an audition the following day. Even though she bought several new pair of shoes the day before... Even though she WAS NOT suicidal.

I'm still sad. Sad for Lana, Sad for the last 6 + years that this occupied my life. Sad for my family in having to put up with this for 6 + years, sad for the Clarkson family and their loss. Just plain fucking sad. And it really hit me this morning for some reason as I finished up my book proposal - signing off on the last chapter and beginning the long journey of writing it all down. I hope it will be the cathartic road it is supposed to be. I hope I will find answers somewhere in there. I'm scared though, scared that I'll just spend MORE time inside the world of that little freak who played me like a patsy just how he has played EVERYONE in his life and find nothing at the end of the road.

Do told the court that Spector was used to tormenting women without suffering any consequences because he existed “in a world where money and fame buys you the VIP treatment.” This is the biggest truth in this entire drama. Women were his specialty, his vice, his demons. AJ even called Spector a “demonic maniac” and brought forth 5 women witnesses to Spector’s violent jealousies and peccadilloes, even waving guns in their faces and trying to get them to play Russian roulette during some kind of trippy sex act. And lord knows I've got some stories for my book that would totally line up with the latter.

“By the grace of God, five other women got the empty chamber and lived to tell,” said the prosecutor, Truc Do. “Lana just happened to be the sixth woman who got the bullet,”

I can look back now, and thank my lucky stars that I got out. Alive.

Cyril Wecht is not just nuts, he's corrupt!

How do the Cantu and Spector cases intersect? Through an interesting twist. Neither of the cases are related, however it would seem that they meet up with an attachment to Cyril Wecht. (The crazy pathologist who was one of Spector's experts in V1)

At the center of a conflict in Cantu's case is San Joaquin County's chief medical examiner, Dr. Bennet Omalu, and he has been in the spotlight before. Huckaby's attorneys had planned to exhume little Sandra's body, (they have now withdrawn their motion to exhume), because the prosecution and defense remain on a collision course over the forensic evidence from her autopsy.

Omalu is a government witness in a federal corruption case against his former boss, celebrity pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht, who has earned millions of dollars investigating high-profile deaths, including those of Elvis Presley and JonBenet Ramsey.

Huckaby's defense is attacking the credibility of the pathologist whose findings will be used to support charges that Melissa Huckaby raped the 8-year-old — an allegation that could bring the death penalty if the one-time Sunday school aide is convicted. Huckaby is scheduled to make her second court appearance Friday.

The coroner's office has not released its report on Sandra's autopsy or announced how she died.

Omalu has worked as San Joaquin County's chief medical examiner since 2007.

In the eight years before coming to California, he worked for Wecht simultaneously as a pathologist in the coroner's office and for Wecht's private forensics company.

Wecht is currently facing multiple federal counts of fraud and theft. Prosecutors allege that while county coroner, he used public employees and facilities to conduct examinations for his own business.

Last year, Omalu testified that he examined brains for Wecht's private clients while at the morgue.

Dr. Cyril H. Wecht, 76, of Squirrel Hill, is accused of using his public office for private gain and of defrauding clients of his private pathology consulting business. The world-renowned forensic pathologist is charged with 41 counts of fraud and theft.

In December of last year the U.S. Supreme Court refused to consider an appeal by Dr. Cyril H. Wecht, who had hoped to avoid a second federal public corruption trial. A grand jury indicted Wecht in January 2006 on 84 counts. The U.S. attorney's office dropped more than half of those charges in January 2008 in an effort to streamline its case prior to trial.

84 counts of corruption - and that's just what they FOUND OUT ABOUT!!! This is the type of person people used as a 'Get Out Of Jail Free' card! It is disturbing at best, IMO - and I cannot help but wonder how jurors in cases where they have heard his testimony now feel miffed and wonder if they did make the right decision...

Okay folks so just when you thought it couldn't get any worse I would like to share with you an email that was forwarded to me by a friend. Please note it's that line about getting out 'all information about Lana...' that really sticks in the throat. It just goes on. I cannot believe that she has the gall or the nerve to try and use Lana even further. It is not enough that her 'husband' is finally behind bars for taking Lana's life.

So here's my take on it all, ready? Rachelle is left with a pittance. During my tenure Spector was loathe to add her to any accounts of his as he claimed he "didn't trust her" to have access - he also never added her to his property accounts nor his catalogue. Therefore, I can only assume, that he left her in a bit of a pickle... like she is going to have to come up with her car payment on her own somehow... (table dance anyone?) the credit card bills will still roll in every month and however will they get paid? She hasn't worked in years now! (unless one considers shopping off the rack at Versace 'work') Oooooh and then there is the little matter of the pending legal battles with the hotel that she owes more than 100gs to. Bummer. No wonder she wants him 'freed'. Someone will need to pay dem billlz. Unfortunately, I don't think Jerry's Deli would take her back - what with the economy today, I'm pretty sure they're fully staffed. Gosh I hope Nicole is back and able to assume her place in the Spector household and begins to run what's left of her pop's business. Lord knows trial bride isn't intelligent enough to make any decisions about the business of music, hell she couldn't even hold a tune if it were handed to her in a paper bag! I know, I was unfortunate enough to hear 'Chelle Shocked' when she attempted to 'release' it... even Phil asked me to tell her to stop singing, that she sucked and he didn't want to be the one to hurt her feelings. I won't even start on her 'dance' moves. Ugh.

Mr. B speaks again, if only to say "hooray!" As the guy that stood by (I've got to stop this alliteration thing), today was a huge victory for Mrs. B, myself, and my family. For the first time in nearly 4 years we felt a sense of closure on a series of events that have seen us go from hard-working home-owners to home-working hard-owners... or at least owners of hardship. Everyone has a story, and I think one of the bigger fallacies is the cliche that there's always someone who's got it worse than you.

Why's that Mr. B? Well, I'll tell you. We experience all of our emotions as individuals. Pain, loss, hardship - these are individual experiences. Whether your experience of pain is 'worse' than mine is in fact not quantifiable. We all have different limits, and all of our limits seem to be tested throughout our lives - this seems to be one of our 'inalienable rights' as human beings. If you don't find this to be true, please invite me and my family to your cave so we can have cocktails and sequester ourselves together, from reality, for eternity.

BUT NOW, let's talk about something we can all experience together - and *that* is the redonkolous mug-shot (funny, I mis-typed that the first time as "mug shit") that was posted on TMZ and the Smoking Gun... Now, here's something that regardless of what your personal connections to or feelings about Phil are, is just plain FUNNY AS HELL... I've thought: green-skinned guy from the bar scene in the first Star Wars; Mo from the Simpsons; some sort of deep sea creature that paralyzes you with their glare, but mostly I just laughed my f**king azz off for a few minutes the first (and second, and third) time I saw it. It would appear that our dear Mr. Spector ain't gonna adjust to prison very well.

It was then that I took it to the next level and thought about the wigless Phil being 'processed' at county and led to his group cell - little neck-tickling propecia curls and all. And then the food line, "do you have any sugar-free cake? i'm *practically* diabetic." And then, Rachelle, driving the Rolls she crashed twice, out with her behind-the-scenes boyfriend in public... maybe they'll hit Dantana's and run up the tab before all of PS's assets are more frozen than their margaritas. This, while PS rots in his new cage, seething about who to blame next for his reality. Selfish, little, jailed, man.

So returning to the first paragraph, today I didn't have time to compare my experiences with others - I only had the rush of emotions: relief, closure, happiness, giddiness, empathy -- all quickly replaced by the severity of unmitigated "i hope you rot in hell for interfering with my family's well-being you son of a bitch"... There were others, and perhaps most importantly, at the end of the day the sobering return to our current reality. I can sum it up in one sentence (oh, I hear you reader: "well then why didn't you do that at the beginning!")... drum roll...

I WISH WE ALL WON A CASH PRIZE FOR PHIL BEING FOUND GUILTY.

There, I said it - and you either totally get that, or you don't. So, in closing, may all of our futures be lighter on the toes and absent of woes - for the first time in years I feel like I can see that for my family. And, let's hope Lana Clarkson's family can get to the same place while still having to process the loss of their cherished daughter. Because, that kind of loss is so far beyond justice served or civil compensation - and it may be a much longer path to laughter and relief for her family.

Please forgive the blathering about on this coming blog. I've so many directions my mind is taking I've lost focus and may need a day or two to digest and spew in any sort of orderly fashion. In the meantime, these are my thoughts and thank you loyal readers for bearing with me on this. I love you guys. And Lana, I know you're up there smiling that big beautiful smile... we did it.

Many have written to offer their congratulations and in some small way I think it is fitting. I was so relieved to hear that the jury had finally reached a verdict and more so because I just knew in my heart of hearts that it was a verdict of guilty M2. When I heard the news at 2:36 PM - I let out an almost inhuman gutteral scream, it brought my family running. Tears streamed down my face and I had to really stop and discover what it was that I was actually feeling - and as I ran the gamut of emotion, I discovered that it was R E L I E F. It was over, finally. The second thing I felt was C L O S U R E. Yeah, closure. This has been a long time coming and after all that my family has been through over this son of a bitch, it is about time to put it to bed. But the final feeling, I have to admit a bit giddily, is V I N D I C A T I O N!

I heard Rachelle broke down sobbing when the verdict was read... I wonder how long she'd been practicing that? Although I am sure we ALL know those are tears of joy! Now she gets to spend some money, (she best hurry though as it'll all be tied up before she knows it) fly her mom out and start hanging out with her boyfriend in public... maybe when the well is dry she'll go back to her previous job, waiting tables at Jerry's Deli hoping for another rich, old dude to walk in and help her pay off her debts to the hotel and others she owes money to.

I still cannot believe it is over. I still cannot believe I covered for him and covered up so much for him financially only to be stabbed in the back by him and the hussy bitch Rachelle when I called it over.

Phil never did want me to testify, so he asked me to marry him, when I said absolutely not, he threatened me, when I quit my job, he threatened my life and then- well then, he sued me claiming that I had embezzled funds from him. First figure was 9 million, then it was 5 then 1.9 then back to 2 or 3 - I lost track during the court battle that ensued. Did you know that embezzlement is a felony? Yeah, it is. I've never been arrested or accused of a crime by the district attorney. This was all handled in 'civil court'. But those are very dangerous allegations and extremely scary when you are a single mom of many being threatened by a former employer who you know to also be a murderer.

Needless to say, I didn't do anything wrong and I had all of my documentation, (a paper trail, if you will), to prove and cover every dime I allocated on his (or my own) behalf. But it certainly shed enough cloud cover on my reputation. It caused friendships that I had been in for more than 10 years to dissolve in a very ugly manner. (never mix business with friendship, unless you're anxious to find out if they are 'real' friends, it always ends badly.) But she got what she needed and I was always too much of an enabler in that relationship as well - as I really wanted to help her, and I did. But I digress.

I mortgaged my house, yeah MY house - the one I earned for working my ass off for that narcisistic prick. Did I pay for it with money received from Spector? DUH, I was his employee - Does it matter now? Not really. But I mortgaged it to pay legal bills and expenses not to upgrade my home. And guess what? Even that amount didn't cover the legal bills - and in spite of that I was informed (200,000+ into the legal battle) that I should just settle with Spector because I would need to come up with an additional $200,000 to take it to trial and that even when I won the trial, I would never collect my winnings... as Spector wouldn't ever pay me what he owed me let alone any potential winnings in court... citing the Ronettes situation. So, in the interest of all I had lost already, I agreed. I wanted it to be over. Finished. I was so sick of all things Phil Spector I could scream. I agreed to hand over my mortgaged home ($500,000 mortgage) and drop my harrassment case, in exchange for freedom from his tyrannical bullshit. It was reported in the papers that I 'lost' or 'settled' for $900,000 - this isn't true. Look at the documents (the ones he wanted sealed up but I insisted be open so I could talk about it until I was blue in the face if I so desired) - The agreement was "he could only collect anything monetary from my house" - that's all nothing from me or my family or my bank - no money exchanged hands - nothing. He got my mortgaged house. Big fucking whoop. But it never really ended... he managed the final laugh, until today.

Today it is ME, I am the one laughing until tears stream down my face. I am the one imagining him in orange and I am the one who'll prevail in the end... I knew he killed her. He told me he killed her the morning after it happened. I will make sure that my story gets out there, in full. It's a good story. It is rife with all the things that Hollywood loves. Intrigue, a pretty girl an evil villian, money, exotic places... I have a hard time believing I lived the story sometimes. But I've got some good notes and pictures.

It was really hard. I miss my old life sometimes. The one before he killed Lana. Life goes on, for me anyway...

I moved. I got married. I had a beautiful baby girl. I am happy and I, am free.

THEY'VE REACHED A VERDICT!!!! Stay tuned for an update, I'm calling my peeps at the courthouse!!!

UPDATE!
2nd DEGREE MURDER!!!! FINALLY!!!! For those who don't already know, Spector was remanded immediately to custody - as any criminal should be. His sentencing is on May 29th.

Waiting for a human is like sitting on a reversed pin cushion! They can tell me nothing. I suspect all must wait for Spector to arrive for it so we have some time to kill - no pun intended! I wonder if they'll break for lunch!!! Argh!!! I'll be tweeting the verdict on twitter once I know and updating this blog mobile - as soon as it's in!!!

Yes, they have broken for lunching, Mr and Mrs Sprocket are having lunch in the cafeteria, (according to her blog) and are told the soonest a verdict can be read is 2:00pm.

I have to believe that they have found him guilty of this crime and the length of time taken to reach the verdict is due to the choices of 2nd Degree Murder or Involuntary Manslaughter. Either way there is the extenuating circumstance of the additional 'GUN' charge that will add time to his sentence. The important thing is they have reached a unanimous decision which says to me GUILTY, all the way.

Further, I am hoping that he will be remanded to custody immediately, revoking his bail because I believe, as do many others, that he is a flight risk. Let's hope a good eye has been kept on him up until today!

I believe that it would have been HUNG again if anything remotely close to an innocent or NOT GUILTY verdict was close. Think about it - I can believe that 10 out of 12 were holding out for guilty (based on the same facts) but not 12 out of 12 finding him innocent... (today) If anything - if there were a hold out - it would be HUNG again and they are NOT hung - they have a VERDICT. I just know that he was found GUILTY now it is a matter of which crime. We can hope for M2 - but they are allowed to opt for IM... so we must be patient and wait and see... all of your emails aren't going to make it happen faster! (;-) LoL even though I do love hearing from you!

Why didn't they sequester?

So this is a nagging question I have been mulling over in my own mind and with members of our family and several readers and friends. Why didn't Judge Fidler sequester this jury? Sequestering a jury means keeping all the jurors together in a location separate from their normal abodes, under the care of court authorities, throughout some or all of the trial. I couldn't find much legal scholarship about sequestration of juries.

I realize the costs for a hotel room or 5 may have been an additional (and unwanted) expense - and of course 3 meals instead of 1, but when you tally up the time already spent, (and money) would it seem to have been a better option in the end with a verdict reached more quickly? Would the jury still have even been called into question about reading or viewing evidentiary incidentals on the tele or in the papers (or blogs)? Would it have been a smart move considering the advent and ability to get any tidbit of info on one's cellular device or wifi computer -
i mean would sequestering really have prevented someone from getting info if they really wanted to 'happen' upon it?

Some reasons for requiring sequestration:

* Preventing exposure of the jurors to prejudicial publicity
* Minimizing pressure from non-jurors for a particular verdict
* Ensuring juror safety from harassment, threats, or actual violence
* Promoting a perception of fairness because of assurance of no outside influence

Some reasons for not requiring sequestration:

* It is financially costly to the government.
* It risks psychological harm to the jurors if the sequestration period is long.
* It may be counter to truth-seeking because it:
o Can lead to a non-representative jury because only limited categories of people are available for a jury that will be sequestered.
o Can cause jurors to rush to judgment to escape sequestration.
o Can cause the jurors to identify with the government (as the jury’s caretaker) or against the government (as the jury’s jailer).
o Can cause lawyers and judges to try to rush the case along to avoid the possibility that the jury will align against the party that seems to be prolonging the case.

Days Of Tragedy... Sandra Cantu and L’Aquila, Italy

UPDATE: An arrest is made in this case!

Sandra Cantu's case twists down an unlikely road! The murder suspect is a woman!!! And a mother.

"There was some speculation early on that [the suspect] would be a man," Sheneman said Saturday. "It's unusual for a woman -- statistically, according to the FBI -- to be involved in anything like this."

Melissa Huckaby is the granddaughter of Lane Lawless, the pastor at the Clover Road Baptist Church, which was searched as part of the investigation. Huckaby's 5-year-old daughter was close friends with Sandra. Huckaby apparantly acknowledged owning the black rolling suitcase that held Sandra's body, but said she reported it missing the day before the girl's body was found. She said it disappeared the same day the girl was last seen. But she waited to report it missing? And if it 'went' missing what else went missing with it, besides little Sandra? People don't generally steal empty suitcases do they?

"There's been a lot of speculation on the news about what happened to my suitcase," she told the newspaper. "It's not my granddad's. It's mine, and someone took it."

My understanding is the Huckaby lives with hwe grandparents so WTF? And how did they not know what had happened, and why wasn't it acknowledged that the suitcase went missing the same day?

Police said they noted "inconsistencies" between comments Huckaby made to the press and a previous statement she gave to them. It was one reason police asked her Friday to come to the station to be interviewed again. According to Sheneman, Huckaby drove there Friday evening.

Authorities believe Huckaby lied about the suitcase being missing, Sheneman said. Really? Duh.

The body of Sandra Cantu has been found. She was found in the same clothes that she had been wearing when last seen in the mobile home park surveillance cameras skipping and swinging her little arms joyously.

The beautiful, 8 year old girl, Sandra Cantu has been missing since March 27, and her body was found yesterday, stuffed into a suitcase that was raised from a pond at a dairy farm close to her home of Tracy, CA. An autopsy is being conducted today, Tracy police Sgt. Tony Sheneman told reporters, but he said he did not know when results would be available. When the luggage was opened at the morgue, investigators found Sandra's body inside, still dressed in the pink Hello Kitty T-shirt and black leggings she was wearing March 27, the day she disappeared.

"No one is currently detained. No one has been arrested," Sheneman said. "We have not closed our interest on any particular person, and we're still looking for the perpetrator of this crime."

Police, however, do say they feel they are closing in on a suspect. I hope they close right in and bury the S.O.B. in little bits in the same suitcase that they found that poor baby in. I want to scream I am heartbroken... it is ENOUGH already! Something just has to stop all of this madness where the crimes of children go unanswered except for providing them room and board and even a small stipend for doing other inmates laundry!!!!! ARGH! I think they should immediately begin the castration process and hell, take off the penis too - let em pee through a bag from now till whenever, follow this with public flogging and death by rocks throwing. Justice can never be enough in our system to make these son of a bitches pay for their crimes.

Last month, Sandra's aunt Angie Chavez described the little girl as "bright, bubbly and friendly" who loved Hannah Montana and visiting her friends in the neighborhood.

I star gaze on my angel children and cannot imagine the grief that Sandra's family, friends and classmates are experiencing right now. I did not know this young girl, nor did I know her family but I have been watching this case since the moment she was reported missing and like Caylee I became attached to her return unharmed. So the breath left my body, yet again, like being sucker punched in the gut when I was informed about the terrible outcome of this case. My sympathies will remain with the family for a lifetime.

Then there are the tragedies of L’Aquila, Italy. A place so beautiful I fear the devastation will not allow the rise of the beauty to prevail. I love this tiny town, which is the capital city of the Abruzzo region and of the Province of L'Aquila.

Basilica di S.Maria di Collemaggio is considered the most famous basilica in Abruzzo, both historically and from an architectural point of view. It was commenced in 1287 under Peter of Morrone, the future Celestino V, who was coroned pope there in 1294 and the city’s most photographed site. It has partly collapsed. It had stood since the late 1200's.

The castle!! It was erected by Don Pedro of Toledo in 1532, following an uprising of the city against the Spaniards. Pirro Luigi Escriba o Scriba', the famous architect of Castel Sant'elmo in Naples, designed the edifice. It is one of the most outstanding 16th century fortresses in Italy. Its uniqueness consists in pairs of protrudings "ears" in perfect armony with the curtain walls and the bastions, which enabled the soldiers to cover every angle of approach to building.

Neither of these gorgeous places have been reported on entirely - and as I try mighty to get news or word from my friends in Roma I have heard nothing yet.

Here is what I do know. This is Italy's worst earthquake in 30 years and it hit Abruzzo’s rough mountains in the middle of the night, killing more than 150 people as they slept and razing irreplaceable ancient buildings. Another sucker punch to the gut. It is like a horror movie.

A grim-faced Gianfranco Fini, speaker of the lower house of parliament, said, “Some towns in the area have been virtually destroyed in their entirety.”

Italian TV reported on a 2-year-old girl pulled alive from the rubble, shielded from harm by her mother’s corpse.

A woman helped rescuers locate her in the dusty ruins of a house by talking to them on her cell phone. A man clad only in underwear sobbed and hugged his saviors after being pulled to safety. Pelted by a nasty hailstorm, shell-shocked survivors huddled in parks, soccer fields and open piazzas away from the crumbling buildings.

Italian officials said the quake registered a magnitude of 5.8 and shook all of central Italy when it struck Monday at 3:32 a.m. I'm confident they will rebuild, the will survive and persevere. Look at Naples and the towns outside of Vesuvius - it can and will happen. Our thoughts are with them.

Farrah Fawcett is in an LA hospital, reportedly unconscious, and has been there for a few days.

Radaronline first reported that the ‘70s TV icon is surrounded by her loved ones, Ryan ONeal and son Redmond, who was reportedly jettisoned from rehab earlier this week for failing a drug test.

Farrah has been battling cancer for three years and recently returned from Germany, where she had experimental stem-cell treatment.

Farrah, 62, was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006 and has fought this disease long and hard. According to People, she was in remission but then the cancer returned.

There's no official confirmation yet from her reps on her condition. I'll continue to watch as the story develops... meanwhile...

We send our sympathy to Farrah and her family and are saying prayers for them all.

Are there any Farrah Fans out there?

And we'll always have "Charlie's Angels."

Farrah is allowing this statement out of appreciation for her fans, who have offered their constant support throughout her fight, as well as out of concern for the countless other cancer patients who have written her over the last two-and-a-half years in order to tell her that they are following her story in the hope that there is hope."
Speaking early Monday morning, he also said, "Tonight, Farrah has hope, and she hopes that others will continue to hold onto theirs."

Fawcett's physician, Lawrence Piro, M.D., who regularly consults with her doctors in Germany (where she sought treatment), issued this statement: "There have been some photographs that have been widely published of Farrah Fawcett in a wheelchair. The reason she was in that wheelchair is because she had a small procedure while in Germany and left for the airport soon after. She could have stayed in Germany to recuperate for a day or two but she was really very anxious to come home."

As a result, he said, "she took a nine-hour flight right after that procedure. It turned out that the procedure caused a small amount of bleeding in one of the muscles of her abdomen, making a hematoma, which was quite painful. Actually, it was painful for her to walk, which is why she was in that wheelchair. And that pain, which was coming from the hematoma, had nothing directly to do with the cancer."

Spokespeople say: Fawcett is expected to return home in a few days.

Thank goodness and I hope that she is turning a corner and feeling better!

No News On Spector Doesn't Mean Fu**ed Up Things Don't Still Happen!

I just read about this horror of a story in PITTSBURGH, PA (isn't trial bride from PA?) Shana Brown, 32, has been charged with giving her 13-year-old daughter drugs and alcohol so her, (as in the mother's), boyfriend could knock the girl up without her knowledge! WTF? Brown is no longer able to have children but wanted to have a baby with her current boyfriend, Duane Calloway. The pair decided to drug the girl so Calloway, 40, could have sex with her. So they crushed up a bunch of Tylenol PM and poured that and some rum into a Pepsi which the girl drank, (and then threw up).

The mother, (and I use this term loosely), has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, turned herself in Thursday and was being held in the Fayette County jail. Calloway faces several counts of attempted rape. He was arrested Wednesday and remains in jail. It was not immediately clear whether he had an attorney. I'm guessing Whineyburg may want to take on a case of this nature - money or no, it does seem he prefers the seediest of seedy so this should be up his alley. All of the three attacks occurred in Brown's home - freaks.

This poor girl, who wasn't raped and didn't get pregnant, told police the plot was hatched in December after she rejected her mother's proposal that she allow Calloway to impregnate her and then marry him.

In the following months, Calloway allegedly tried to rape the girl three times.

The first time, in February, the girl was alone with Calloway while her mother went out to buy pizza, according to the criminal complaint. Calloway began groping her and she kicked him away, the documents stated. A few weeks later, the girl believes her mother spiked her Pepsi with rum, according to police. She was partially naked when she woke up with Calloway in the room, according to the criminal complaint.

The third time occurred in mid-March, when the girl told police she came home early from school because she was not feeling well. She said that her mother forced her to drink tea. The girl said she pretended she was asleep until Calloway made a move, at which point she bolted upright and he left the room.

I have to wonder? Did the mother really fall for that story? Please! I think that the boyfriend just had the hots for the girl and concocted the plan appealing to the mother's sick need to 'have another child' and get the mom to consent to his heinous plan to rape the daughter. Thank goodness the little girl finally got help. As for the rapist boyfriend... maybe he'll get some Shawshank Redemption punishment, prison style.
