Amber Sound 107.2 FM is a community radio station based in Ripley Derbyshire.

With a professional three studio facility utilising state of the art equipment we are making a difference in our local community.

We are looking for a media sales professional with experience in advertising and sponsorship sales.

You will be a capable individual able to take a sale from cold call or enquiry, through to scripting and final clearance for air.

You will be comfortable operating at all levels and will be confident and knowledgeable abount the industry.

Training will be given in our own product and the way in which we wish it to be sold.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Radio Sales and candidates within the locality of Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire.

The position is self employed under contract as an agent.

remuneration is in the form of recurring commissions with the addition of a good guaranteed basic. OTE £30,000+

We cover a wide range of activities include straightforwad news reporting and embedding with units undergoing training and simulated combat for Afghanistan and similar.

We maintain a pool of journalists with suitable skills but are always looking for experienced journalists.

BBC Radio Berkshire was nominated for 3 Sony Radio Academy Awards in 2009. We're now looking for two people who are passionate about storytelling and journalism to join our award winning team.

We're looking for talented and experienced all-rounders with the passion to unearth a great Berkshire story and the creativity to make it shine on the radio. You'll also be passionate about local journalism, a strong writer and be able to demonstrate why each story is important to our audience.

For the right candidate there is an opportunity to do considerable reporting from East Berkshire and to be based between studios in Reading and our district office in Slough. To be successful you will need a track record in originating lead stories and live reporting.

You will need to be a first class news reader with the flair to produce and present peak-time bulletins. You'll write with flair and economy and you'll know how to generate great audio and use it creatively. A self starter, you'll strive to keep bulletins fresh and produce showpiece radio whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

You'll have an engaging on air personality as well as a "golden voice" and you'll be confident sparring with our line up of well known names like Henry Kelly, Maggie Philbin and Debbie McGee.

An experienced journalist, you'll understand what it means to get to the heart of a story and how to deliver that on air. You'll need experience of programme production and the skill to get the very best from our presenter talent.

Both roles will involve some weekend working. Successful candidates will be asked to work across the range of broadcast journalist duties in the newsroom as described above. A knowledge of Berkshire and its diverse communities would be an advantage.

In the last year, English Regions has invested heavily in a more local weather service across the UK. It's an essential part of our output and a key driver in attracting audiences to the BBC. A vacancy has arisen in the BBC South weather team and we’re looking for someone who can deliver this service in an engaging and authoritative way across online, radio and TV. We are offering a contract of at least nine months as maternity cover for a full-time member of the team.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver video forecasts on television and online, provide scripted and live broadcasts for radio and contribute text for use on all platforms. Some technical aptitude is needed as they will need to make use of our 3D graphics weather system and other computer forecasting systems, operate basic radio equipment and upload some of our video forecasts to the web.
The post will be part of a team of three who work a shift pattern to provide weather forecasts across seven days a week. There is frequent early morning and weekend working.

The post will be based at Southampton

Essential:

Excellent communication skills in audio, video and text.

The ability to summarise the weather story of the day in a clear and engaging way.

A proven interest in the weather.

Understanding of the needs of the BBC’s audiences on all platforms.

Desirable:

Previous meteorological experience, though some training can be given in this area.

Previous broadcast experience.

Award-winning youth brand Kiss 105-8 are looking for a creative copywriter to provide maternity cover 3 days per week, for a minimum of 6 months, starting end of July 2009. • Consistently look to develop additional on-air and off-air revenue opportunities
• Direct and manage client sessions utilising the facilities and tools available within the group
