As promised, a new update has been posted to the app store with support for the iPad Retina Display and iOS 5.

Support the for the new iPad (3rd generation) retina display.
Support for iOS 5.1.
Minor bug fixes: Blatchford Score and MASCC score.

Just an FYI. I have updated mediquations and have uploaded version 33 of Mediquations to the app store. It adds support for the new iPad retina display. By the way, I’m loving this new iPad.

Looking back at this blog, I noticed I never posted about the iOS and Android updates that were released in late December. I apologize.

Both the Android and iOS apps were significantly updated.

iOS:

Version 32.1 fixes an issue on the iPad where equations would disappear.
New equation: HAS-BLED score
New favorites interface to make it easier to add favorites.
New search interface
Minor bug fixes

Android:

This update features a significant interface update in preparation for upcoming Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich phones and tablets.

New native tablet interface for Android Honeycomb 3.0 and Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 tablets running 9-10″ screens (Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10, etc)
Verified support for Kindle Fire.
The interface has been fully rewritten for ice cream sandwich devices like the upcoming Galaxy Nexus.
View “recent” equations in a separate tab.
Supports Android system search. Now you can search Mediquations using the “Google search bar” on your home screen.
“Fast scroll” allows you to quickly browse through the list of all equations.
Minimized use of the Android “back” button
New equation: HAS-BLED score

Mediquations Version 30 for iOS now available

Several updates have happened since I last updated this blog. We are currently at version 30, which includes a number of new features:

Added support for AirPrint to print equation results (requires iOS 4.2 or later).
Added “Notes” feature. Jot down notes in each equation.
Icon redesign per request from Red Cross.
User interface bug fixes and tweaks for iPad.

In addition, an update is under approval at the App Store which addresses a bug causing crashes for users running iOS 4.1 or earlier.

Android Changelog

Android 2.0+ introduced changes in the locale settings, which caused Mediquations to be erratic on Android devices with languages other than English set as default. This has been remedied in Version 7.4.

Mediquations Version 23 for iPhone, now with full iPad support!

Good news! I have been hard at work on developing Mediquations for the iPad ever since receiving my iPad on Saturday.

I have submitted Version 23 to the app store for approval. This version is a “universal” application, meaning it’s an iPhone/iPod Touch app and an iPad app in one package.

In other words, if you’ve ever purchased Mediquations before, the iPad version of Mediquations is a free download away.

I would really like to know how you plan on using the iPad in the healthcare setting. Leave a comment.
