I am so so happy, so emotional.. too much.. I will just tell you that D'Errico confirmed that Holy Father has been following Medjugorje since the beginning. He said to have heard about all the good that is coming from that place... OH !!!
Holy Father decided not only to form commission and let us know about it, but out of the love and special respect he has for our region and our catholic community here, he has sent nuncio D'Errico to joyfully announce the news to the bishops at bishops' conference at the same time as it is announced in Rome.

Thanky ou Holy Father !! Thank you Gospe !!! I will write again when I am less emotional.. I can only cry with joy now...

Također je istog dana, na kraju svečanog Euharistijskog slavlja u katedrali Marije Majke Crkve u Mostaru nuncij D'Errico između ostalog kazao: „Upravo je današnja vijest, vrlo važna, koja vraća biskupiju Mostar u središte svjetske javne pozornosti; to jest, Sveti Otac je odlučio ustanoviti Međunarodno povjerenstvo o fenomenu Međugorja, na najvišoj razini; i stoga je pozvao kardinale, biskupe, vještake i stručnjake da u njoj sudjeluju“. Miracoli a Medjugorje? Pronta a indagare una task force del Papa

Il Vaticano indaga sulle apparizioni mariane di Medjugorje e il Papa ha deciso di affidare al cardinale Camillo Ruini, già Vicario di Roma e presidente della Cei, la guida di una commissione internazionale d’inchiesta. La notizia è stata confermata ufficialmente ieri dal direttore della Sala Stampa della Santa Sede, padre Federico Lombardi. La commissione è composta «da una ventina di membri» e al termine dei suoi lavori riferirà i risultati del proprio studio alla Congregazione per la dottrina della fede. Lombardi ha chiarito che «non è la commissione stessa che prende delle decisioni, delle pronunce definitive, ma essa offre il risultato del suo studio, un suo voto – come si dice in termine tecnico – alla Congregazione che poi adotterà le decisioni del caso».

C’era stata all’inizio delle apparizioni una commissione diocesana, la quale aveva poi passato la mano alla Conferenza episcopale della Jugoslavia, che però non era riuscita a pronunciarsi sulla soprannaturalità o meno dei fenomeni. Per questo «i vescovi di Bosnia ed Erzegovina hanno chiesto alla Congregazione per la dottrina della fede, a Roma, di prendere in mano la situazione».
Il portavoce vaticano non ha detto nulla sulla composizione del gruppo guidato da Ruini. Secondo quanto apprende Il Giornale, tra i membri della commissione vi sono i cardinali Vinko Pulijc, arcivescovo di Sarajevo; Josip Bozanic, arcivescovo di Zagabria; Julián Herranz, già presidente del Pontificio consiglio per l’interpretazione dei testi legislativi. È stato chiamato a farne parte anche Tony Anatrella, gesuita e psicologo francese, insieme con altri esperti di mariologia. Tra i membri vi sono pure dei laici. Ma la notizia più significativa è l’assenza, nell’elenco delle circa venti persone scelte guidate dal cardinale Ruini, dell’attuale vescovo di Mostar, Ratko Peric, fermamente contrario al riconoscere l’autenticità delle apparizioni e convinto che nulla di soprannaturale accada nel paesino dell’Erzegovina.
Non è possibile fare previsioni sui tempi necessari per raggiungere un verdetto, ma l’intenzione di Ruini è quella di non perdere tempo e di arrivare a una prima sintesi alla fine del 2010. L’ex Vicario di Roma non ha posizioni pregiudiziali sul caso Medjugorje: il suo segretario – oggi vescovo – Mauro Parmeggiani, vi si era recato con alcuni pellegrini, e lo stesso cardinale ha vicino a sé persone emotivamente coinvolte nel fenomeno. Il punto di partenza imprescindibile è però quello della contrarietà espressa da entrambi i vescovi che si sono succeduti alla guida della diocesi di Mostar dall’inizio delle apparizioni, al contrario di quanto accadde ad esempio a Lourdes, dove fu proprio il vescovo diocesano a riconoscere l’autenticità delle visioni di santa Bernadette Soubirous. Il vescovo di Mostar all’epoca delle apparizioni, Pavao Zanic, era arrivato a definire Medjugorje «la più grande truffa nella storia della Chiesa». Ma nell’aprile 1991, la Conferenza episcopale jugoslava era stata molto più cauta e aveva utilizzato nella sua dichiarazione la classica espressione prudenziale, non essendo in grado né di approvare né di bocciare, segno che se non vi erano elementi sufficienti per dire «sì», non vi erano nemmeno prove che si trattasse di una truffa come sostenuto invece dal vescovo: «Sulla base delle ricerche sin qui compiute, non è possibile affermare che si tratta di apparizioni e fenomeni soprannaturali». Secondo diverse testimonianze, invece, Papa Wojtyla sarebbe stato personalmente convinto dell'autenticità.
Le presunte apparizioni, iniziate il 24 giugno 1981, continuano ancora, seppure limitatamente, per alcuni dei veggenti che assicurano di incontrare la Madonna a un’ora determinata del giorno, dovunque si trovino. Maria si definisce «Regina della Pace», ha iniziato ad apparire in una parrocchia, gestita dai frati francescani, e il paese di Medjugorje, che è piuttosto arduo raggiungere ancora oggi, ha attirato milioni di persone, nonostante le pubbliche sconfessioni dell’attuale vescovo Peric. Nel 1998, l’allora Segretario della Congregazione per la dottrina della fede, Tarcisio Bertone, chiarì che i pellegrinaggi erano permessi, «a condizione che non siano considerati come una autenticazione degli avvenimenti in corso e che richiedono ancora un esame da parte della Chiesa». Tante persone testimoniano di aver riscoperto la fede e di essere tornate cambiate da Medjugorje.

It is a good day today, everybody is feeling better. I hope Luka will not have anymore infections and will be able to go out. We have beautiful sunny weather, mild temperatures, a real spring is coming.
I am so looking forward to the Palm Sunday, it is one of my favorite days in Medjugorje. I had a truly great conversion day(one of many ... ) on a Palm Sunday six years ago. All that Love I have felt on that day during blessing of the palms is impossible to put in words.
Emanuel is all alone in the shop as I have to be home with Luka. He is very happy as one of our costumers went to confession first time after 20 years !!! Those who know my husband can understand what that means to him. It is what Medjugorje does to people, it is truly a confessional of the world.Our Lady work on our harts and changes us to receive Jesus. "....to be closer to my Son ... " - said Our Lady ...
Today, we have anual apparition of Our Lady to Mirjana at the blue cross. Medjgorje is full of pilgrims from all over the world. Of course the talk of the day is the Vatican Commission and everybody is happy it is finaly happening although many of us believe the commision was and is in Medjugorje for several years already. We all had those "special" people in our groups of pilgrims. Those who asked questions and visted places and communities with that peculiar scrutiny.
It could be just my impression ... :-)
It is a confirmation that we /the guides/ were not lying /as some were saying and writing on their blog etc../ when we were saying to our pilgrims that the commission will we under the CDF and not local Bishop.

Also today at 12 noon there will be a press conference held in Mostar by Bishop Conference of the Bosnia and Herzegovina., they are having a meeting for the last two days (16-18 March 2010). I would really like to hear what will they say about the commission ( if anything .. ) On the Diocesan website there is just a translation of the VIS news but no comments.

Vatican City, Mar 17, 2010 / 09:56 am (CNA/EWTN News).- A statement was released by the Holy See on Wednesday confirming the formation of a commission to investigate the “phenomenon” of Medjugorje.

The Vatican communique reads: “Under the auspices of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, under the presidency of Cardinal Camillo Ruini, an international commission of investigation on Medjugorje has been constituted. Said Commission, composed of cardinals, bishops and experts will work in a reserved manner, subjecting the results of their studies to the authority of the Dicastery.”

Vatican spokesman, Fr. Federico Lombardi, said that no other information was available at this point besides the role of Cardinal Ruini as president. However, he did say that the commission will be formed by “more or less” 20 members.

Responding to a question from a journalist about the possible inclusion of Bishop Ratko Peric of Mostar, whose diocese includes Medjugorje, Fr. Lombardi said that he is not in possession of a list of members.

The Vatican spokesman reviewed the history of investigations into the possible Marian apparitions of Medjugorje, noting that they began on a diocesan level. When it was seen that the “phenomenon was broader than the diocese,” it was passed on to the episcopal conference of the former Yugoslavia, which, he noted, no longer exists.

The commissions at those levels never came to a conclusion on the question of whether or not the alleged apparitions are supernatural, so the bishops of Bosnia and Herzegovina have asked the CDF to take over investigations, the Vatican spokesman explained.

As the commission carries out their activities, Fr. Lombardi continued, they will decide whether or not to communicate information regarding their findings. Nevertheless, it can be assumed that it will be a “very discreet” project “given the sensitivity of the subject,” he remarked.

Speaking in Italian, he said to expect that investigations will take “a good while” to reach their completion and emphasized that the results of the commission’s activities will be submitted to the CDF, under whose mandate they are operating. The commission will only offer their technical findings to the Congregation, which in turn will “make decisions on the case.”

For now, the composition of the commission is “reserved,” as is the method they will pursue in their investigations, Fr. Lombardi said in closing.

Veggente Ivan - "La Madonna mi è apparsa e vi benedice tutti"

Non ci sono le parole per descrivere la bellezza e l’attesa dell’incontro, per ogni incontro con la Madonna sempre ci prepariamo con la preghiera del Santo Rosario.
Pregando questa sera con voi il rosario e quando si avvicinano le 6 meno venti, io comincio a sentire la sua vicinanza nel mio cuore.
Anche questa sera, posso riferire che questa sera la Madonna è arrivata prima che io mi sono inginocchiato, è venuta molto felice e gioiosa ed è venuta con tre angeli.
Ha salutato tutti noi con il suo saluto materno, sia lodato Gesù cari figli miei.
Poi ha detto queste parole:
“Cari figli io desidero che anche voi oggi siate il mio fiore.
Innaffiate questo fiore con la preghiera,
innaffiate la vostra anima con la preghiera.
Desidero cari figli che pregate anche per tutti quei fiori che sono spenti appassiti e per tutte le anime che stanno morendo.
Pregate cari figli, pregate pregate ”
Poi la Madonna per un lungo tempo ha pregato con le mani distese sopra tutti noi
specialmente sopra i sacerdoti qui presenti.
Ci ha benedetto tutti con la sua benedizione materna.
Il veggente ha raccomandato tutti voi i vostri bisogni e le vostre famiglie
LA Madonna ha continuato a pregare sopra tutti noi.
Ho pregato con lei padre gloria poi è seguita una conversazione privata con la Vergine.
Dopo questa conversazione la Madonna scompare nel segno della luce e della croce.
Ci ha salutato dicendo “andate in pace cari figli miei”. Voglio sottolineare in questo messaggio di stasera per esempio l’amore che si vede dai suoi occhi dal suo viso, il suo sorriso, la sua bellezza non si può spiegare.

Anniversario della costruzione della croce sul Križevac

Martedì 16 Marzo 2010 si compie il 76° anno dal termine della costruzione della croce sul Križevac e dalla celebrazione della prima Santa Messa sotto quella croce. Dal giorno della decisione di costruire la croce, il 21 Gennaio 1934, in occasione dell’Anno Giubilare della nostra Salvezza, espressa ai parrocchiani dall’allora parroco fra Bernardin Smoljan, al termine della costruzione trascorsero solo 52 giorni. Il progetto per la croce votiva fu realizzato dall’ ing. Šimun Boras di Mostar, mentre la sua esecuzione è stata coordinata da Ante Dugandžić-Redžo di Medjugorje. Il parroco, nel suo rapporto, tra l’altro, scrisse: “Il 16 Marzo alle ore 9:00 è partita dalla Chiesa una imponente processione a cui hanno partecipato i terziari sotto la bandiera della fraternità del Nome di Gesù con lo stendardo, i bambini della scuola, i sacerdoti e un popolo numeroso. Accompagnata dal suono ininterrotto delle campane della Chiesa, dagli spari di mortaio, dalla preghiera del Santo Rosario e dal canto delle litanie e dei lamenti della Madonna, la processione si è mossa a lungo verso la collina la cui cima si era già annerita per la moltitudine di persone che contemplava l’affluire del popolo da ogni parte e la salita della processione sulla collina. ( ). Alle ore 10:00 sono iniziati i Sacri Riti, Ho tenuto al popolo un discorso per l’occasione, ho letto la lettera dell’Eccellentissimo Vescovo e gli altri saluti ed auguri pervenuti. Dopo questo ho impartito la benedizione solenne alla croce e, con il sonoro consenso del popolo, ho cambiato il nome del monte da Šipovac in Križevac. Dopo la benedizione ho officiato una Santa Messa solenne e l’omelia è stata tenuta dal parroco di Studenci fra Grgo Vasilj”.
Già l’anno seguente, il 12 Aprile, fu organizzata una processione penitenziale sul Križevac e, dopo di essa, venne celebrata la Santa Messa. Nel Settembre del 1935 sul Križevac fu anche organizzata la celebrazione dell’Esaltazione della Santa Croce, in conformità con la direttiva del Vescovo fra Alojzije Mišić. Negli ultimi tre decenni il Križevac è divenuto una sosta immancabile del pellegrinaggio dei molti ospiti che vengono in pellegrinaggio a Medjugorje ed ogni Venerdì pomeriggio i parrocchiani e i pellegrini vi svolgono la consueta devozione della Via Crucis.

The anniversary of building of cross on Cross Mountain and celebration of first Holy Mass under that same cross

On Tuesday, March 16th 2010 there will be 76th anniversary of building of cross on Cross Mountain and celebration of first Holy Mass under that same cross. Only 52 days passed ever since the day when decision for the cross to be built on the highest hill in the area, January 21st 1934 due to occasion of Jubilee Year of Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, and decision was given to parishioners by their parish priest Fr. Bernardin Smoljan, until the day when cross was finally completed. Engineer Simun Boras from Mostar built the construction plan for the Cross, and Ante Dugandzic Redzo was monitoring all the works of construction.
Parish priest wrote in his report about those days the following: “On March 16, 1934 great group of people in procession started their journey towards the Mountain from the Church, and amongst them members of Franciscan Third Order, who carried the flag of their brotherhood with Name of Jesus, school children, priests and numerous people. The bells on the church rang all the time, husbands were shooting in the air with their festive guns, people prayed Rosary, sang Litanies of Blessed Virgin Mary, and this procession was slowly moving towards the Mountain whose top was already packed with people who were looking at this procession, as well as at other groups that approached from different sides. Holy ceremonies began at 10 a.m. I gave the appropriate speech to people, read letter from His Eminence Bishop, as well as other speeches of congratulation and regards from different sides. After that, solemn blessing of Holy Cross followed, and than with huge ovations from people I changed the name of mountain from Sipovac to Krizevac (Cross Mounatain). After blessing I held Holy Mass and Homily was given by parish priest from Studenci Fr. Grgo Vasilj.”
Already in the following year, on April 12th 1935 penance procession was held on the Cross Mountain and Holy Mass was celebrated at the end. In September of the same year celebration of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was held on the Cross Mountain, all according to the order from local Bishop Fr. Alojzije Misic.
In the last three decades Cross Mountain became essential pilgrimage station on their journey while in Medjugorje, and every Friday pilgrims and parishioners climb the Cross Mountain while praying the Way of the Cross.

This week we fight Middle Ear Infections

Well they say it is normal when you have small kids that they are often ill... This week my Luka (! AGAN) has a Middle Ear Infections... His ear is dripping some greenish fluid yak!... ... I am learning about it and dealing with it with occasional sighs to the Heavens ( dear God, dear Jesus, dear Gospa ... )... However, we had that feast yesterday with friends and family and it was great. I have decided to rename my dishwasher into the "best friend I ever had"! How I have suffered before with all that luck of space and hot water, now I JUST PRESS THE BUTTON. God bless the engineer. :-)

John Paul II absolutely loved Medjugorj

Pope John Paul II once powerfully observed, “Today’sworld has lost its sense of the supernatural, but many are searching for it –and find it in Medjugorje, through prayer, penance, and fasting.” The late pontiff and future saint, his holiness, spoke these words on August 1, 1989,while addressing a group of Italian physicians studying the apparitions inMedjugorje with medical and scientific investigations.

It is no secret within Rome that John Paul II absolutely loved Medjugorje, once even acquiring the nickname “Protector of Medjugorje” within the Vatican. Even eminent American intellectuals were no strangers to this reality. The great Franciscan intellectual, Fr. Benedict J.Groeschel, himself an investigator of supernatural phenomena, once admitted about John Paul II in a revealing interview: “I can tell you for a fact that the pope loves Medjugorje from afar and would go there in a minute if the theologians would let him.”

While it is known that the late Polish pope never personally visited Medjugorje, what is less known is that throughout the last two decades of his life Pope John Paul II held personal meetings and correspondences with Medjugorje visionaries, Medjugorje priests, even Medjugorje inner locutionaries, and numerous pro-Medjugorje bishops. His enthusiasm and love for Medjugorje’s mystics was overwhelming and filled with abundant respect and a joyful beauty overcome with hope. One such example is when Medjugorje visionary,Mirjana Dragicevic Soldo, met with John Paul II. She once shared the details behind this poignant, and somewhat humorous, encounter while addressing a group of pilgrims:

“I personally had a such a great honor to be able tospeak with late Pope John Paul II. That was so beautiful. I was in St Peter's Basilica in Rome with all other pilgrims. Pope as he was walking by, he was blessing everybody. He blessed me and just walked away. And then this Italian priest I was with said ‘Holy Father, this is Mirjana from Medjugorje.’ He came back, blessed me again and he left. And I said to this priest, ‘Father, you see he just thinks that I need a double blessing’ [laughter]. However, in the afternoon we received an invitation tomorrow morning to come to Castelgondolfo,close to Rome in order to talk to Holy Father. I don't have to tell you that I couldn't sleep all night. Tomorrow when I reached the place, he saw that I was so excited. We were alone and then he started talking to me in Polish. He thought I would understand because both are Slavic languages. He wanted to make me feel comfortable but I didn't understand a word because it’s not even close to our language. However, I was crying and I couldn't catch a breath to say a word. So when I finally succeeded to say a word, I said ‘Holy Father, can we try inItalian ?’ [laughter]. Then we talked and among other things he said to me, ‘If I were not Pope, I would be in Medjugorje a long time ago. I know everything, I have been following everything. Lariofiere, oltre seimila fedeli per la Madonna di Medjugorje

ERBA (Como) - da Medjugorje si parte ma la meta è la fede. Cercano questo le persone che partecipano al grande raduno mariano che si svolge ogni anno a Lariofiere Erba (Como). E' stato così anche quest'anno, con almeno seimila pellegrini arrivati in pullman e in treno da tante regioni italiane.

Molti presenti per ascoltare il giornalista Paolo Brosio, rimasto affascinato da un pellegrinaggio a Medjugorje. Pronto ad autografare il suo libro, come ad un evento mondano, ma con la piccola particolarità di voler passare un messaggio di fede o di inizio conversione.

Il popolo dei fedeli ha partecipato ai diversi momenti di preghiera mantenendo ordine e assistito da una sessantina di volontari pronti ad intervenire per qualsiasi necessità. Assiduo il servizio d'ordine, che ha predisposto spazi per le confessioni ai lati della sala e un traduttore simultaneo per i sordomuti presenti.

Molto atteso l' incontro di preghiera con le due veggenti Marja e Invanka, che, per la prima volta nel 1981, dissero di aver avuto la visione della Madonna su un promontorio nei pressi di Medujgorje, e così puntuale alle 17,40 è avvenuta“l'apparizione” della Madonna a Marja. Insieme alla veggente, i fedeli si sono raccolti in preghiera in lunghi minuti di silenzio. I messaggi che la Madonna consegnerebbe ai veggenti vengono pubbicati sul sito dell'associazione Medjugorje Como organizzatrice dell'evento, e su quello di Radio Maria, l'emittente erbese che ha fortemente contribuito alla diffusione del messaggio della Madonna di Medjugorje.

Applauditissima Gloria Polo, la donna medico colombiana che ha raccontato della sua esperienza "soprannaturale" , una testimonianza forte e unica che ha vissuto e che l'ha portata a vedere e conoscere "il pugatorio e l'inferno" e a comprendere il peso del peccato e ritornare a noi per raccontare il suo cambiamento di vita , la sua fede e quanto il Signore ha fatto per lei e che compie per tutti noi nel quotidiano.

La manifestazione iniziata sabato pomeriggio, si è conclusa domenica sera, due giornate intense animante da un gruppo di artisti cristiani: la cantante Tiziana Manenti, la giovane cantante lirica Marina Murari i cantautori Giancarlo Airaghi, Francesco Dal poz ed il popolare cantautore di Musica Cristiana Contemporanea Roberto Bignoli, che dal 1984 porta nel mondo la sua testimonianza di fede attraverso concerti e incontri, grazie alla sua conversione a Medjugorje.

Un grazie particolare è andato a Sua Eminenza il neo Vescovo Mons. Giovanni D' Ercole presente all'incontro e che ha invitato tutti a ripetere un incontro di preghiera come questo, prossimamente all'Aquila, nel mese di maggio.

Finally a few thoughts on the current media flurry over the scandals in the Vatican. As one friend expressed it, "the voyeurism of a hostile media" is once again pouncing, inflating the sins of a few churchmen into a mega crisis....the very sins that are far more prevalent among their own colleagues in media circles. For that matter, far more prevalent in just about any secular occupation one can think of. These sins are most grievous, most shameful when committed by those who on the surface appear to be servants of Christ. Yet we must keep in mind that there are thousands of employees in Vatican City, and that the sins which have come to light were committed by a very small number of people. It has been ever thus in the history of the Church, indeed since the Last Supper.
Do not be scandalized. Do not be afraid. Trust in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and in the man whom the Holy Spirit has given us as Peter, to shepherd the flock of the Lord through these times of increasing confusion and adversity. The Lord warned us that such trials would come. "Blessed is he who is not scandalized by me" (Matthew 11:6). By this he meant that we must not be scandalized by his cross, by his apparent weakness, his poverty, his lack of worldly power, his friends who betray him, his humility, and his degradation at the hands of men. More and more, we will see the Church conformed in the same way to the life of her Lord. She will be betrayed from within, humiliated, scorned, misunderstood, and always—always—she will seem weak in the eyes of the world, something to be despised and rejected.

If you have a few free moments, please prayerfully read the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 11, verses 16 to 30.
Pay attention to our Father in faith, Benedict XVI. Listen to him, and keep in mind what St. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 2: verses 1 to 10.
Beware of mental constructs that would impose political categories upon the immense mystery of the Body of Christ and the unfolding of salvation history. Beware of those who would impose their own wills, strategizing, opinions, and ambitions upon this most sacred presence in the world. Be cautious, I suggest, about those who would do so for the "good" of the Church. Be discerning about the sheer volume of noisy rhetoric, all the supposedly objective analyzing. Do not despise, but do not succumb. Pray for those who wound the Body of our Saviour because they do not know what they are doing.

As this Lent moves toward Calvary and Easter morning, the forces of darkness are assaulting the light on every level of life in the modern age. The battle is waged within every human heart and in every human activity. For a time, the darkness will continue to spew a fog of deception across the face of the earth, but it cannot win. It has already lost the War. We who live in the midst of the final battles are asked by God to live with confidence in His victory, with His assurance that the darkness cannot overcome the light.

May grace and peace be with you in ever greater measure.
