Tomlinson Run Adventure

I have mentioned in my previous post that we were invited for a birthday party in Tomlinson Run last weekend. We went earlier but we did not see anyone at the designated venue.

We drove around, went to the parts where we have never been yet but we we did not fin it. So we went back to the venue, stayed there for about an hour and decided to leave because I was worried that the fruit salad I made will get spoiled..

It turned out that they put a small sign from the entrance for the new venue that they picked. They said that the place was already taken when they arrived so they changed the shelter. We didn't see the sign they put up so we never got to enjoy their company. Nevertheless, we had a really great time out there since we spent one hour exploring the lake. .

Finding Nemo Musical Show in Disney World

After we spent some walking from Dinorama attraction in Disney World, we wanted something cooler as the heat of the sun outside was very intense. We tried the Finding Nemo musical show and it was a really good one.

Taking picture without a flash was allowed so I took some shots before and while the show was going on.

Finding Nemo - The Musical gives guests the chance to be literally immersed in the story of Marlin and Nemo through the combination of puppets, dancers, acrobats and animated backdrops. It's performed in the now enclosed Theater in the Wild in DinoLand U.S.A, the former home to "Tarzan Rocks". The theater itself was updated with innovative lighting, sound, and special effects to create Nemo's undersea environment. Like the Broadway version of Disney's "The Lion King", the audience sees the performers as well as their puppets throughout the show.

Not only does the audience get a chance to see the well loved story in a new production, but they enjoy the original songs written just for the show, including "Big Blue World", also heard at The Seas with Nemo and Friends at Epcot, and Crush's big number, "Go With the Flow", a tribute to 60s surfing music. source - allears.net

Finding a Job

Sending resumes is what my husband has been doing this past few weeks. He would be graduating in July and he really wants to find a job after he is done with school. He went to two job interviews already and one looks very promising, the only problem is that he is not really crazy about it. But anyhow, if you are planning to send a kfc application, you can do it easily online. Applying for a job here in America is easier than the country where I came from.

Disney World's Castle, Tree House, and River Boat

Here's another batch of our fun-filled week in Disney World last year. Most of these shots were taken by my friend Dhemz, thanks sis.

From our princesses favorite castle to the tree house, the fun never ends. I did not really grasp the story behind this tree house until I saw the movie just lately hehehe.

After so many walking and climbing, we took some rest by taking the short cruise through the Riverboat Landing attraction.

Bananas and oranges were our snacks most of the time. We decided to bring fruit because snacks inside Disney World is very expensive.

Electric Piano

Oh boy, the month of May is almost over and we haven't accomplish one thing from our planned list. We promised our daughter that we would try to buy an electric piano so she could enroll in a piano lesson but my budget is not looking good. But anyhow, is anyone of you have played harmonica? I did not know that my husband was taking pictures of me and the kids while we were playing with the dogs in the backyard. He was inside the house doing his homework and saw us by the window.

Halloween Decorations

Time really flies! The school years just ended today which is nice and soon, big holidays are coming. We would soon realize that Halloween would be here anytime soon. I am not really big on decorating on Halloween, we're more o going out with our children for trick or treat. I do admire the spooky and creativity of other people's yard decor during Halloween time. How about you, are you the type that does home decorating on Halloween?

Madonna's Football Field

We went for a walk with our neighbor/friend and he took us to the football field of the high school here in our area. It was our first time going to that field. We always looked down on it when we go for a walk but never realy have the courage to go down. Thanks Don for taking us.

We've seen some critters along the way. The butterfly is dead already but there were deer in the area.

We've seen some neat stuff like the cave that we never knew existed at the bottom of the hill.

Too bad, we went down there when the sun was already setting. It was cooler and it was getting dark.

Afternoon Walk

I took my Burritos for at long walk the other day a Marland Heights while hubby was talking to Dad..

We had fun looking at bugs, beautiful flowers and enjoy the fresh air.

We passed by this yeard with plenty of dandelions so the Burritos picked some for the bunnies.

This is our favorite spot right here, looking over the Ohio river.

My Burritos has disagreements every now and then but at the end of the day, no matter how they quarrel, they still love each other

Mad Tea Party

One of the attractions in Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park that I did not have the courage to try is the Mad Tea Party. I don't think I would be able to hold up my composure riding in tea cups that spinning so fast. The kids and the dads tried it though.

Mad Tea Party is a giant tea cup ride that spins big kids, teens and adults in circles at Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom theme park. Take a giant tea cup out for a spin! During the last get together of the Filipino families here in the area, we get to catch up with what is going on with each family. With busy schedule, we seldom talked to each other and the only time we get to talk is when there's a get together. But anyhow, one of the Filipinas that I met during our recent get together is moving to Las Vegas in a couple of months. We were teasing her that all of us will be visiting her there and raid her place. She was game with it and said that we need to inform her ahead so that she can prepare for it . We were just clowning around but it would be a great experience if we could do it for real. I have never been to Las Vegas and would be a great opportunity to explore a new place. Oh boy, I am dreaming of traveling again hahaha. But, there's always a possibility so it might come true, who knows.

Matilda

We bought our female bunny from Double J Rabbit Ranch but their farm is a little bit far so the owner agreed to meet us at her work, at Eastern Gateway. formerly Jefferson Community College. We named her Matilda. We figured that Wubzy, (our male rabbit, is getting so lonely being alone so we got him a girlfriend.

The breeder told us to wait for 8 months before we can put Matilda to live with Wubzy but we couldn't wit so after a month, we let her live at Wubzy's house.

These were taken when we first introduced them to each other. Wubzy was freaking out.

They gave each other a kiss. I think, she could get pregnant anytime soon because Wubzy is so obsessed with her. I won't be surprised to see little fur balls soon.

Let me leave you this nuggets of wisdom that says "Only the best people fight against all obstacles in pursuit of happiness."

As I browsed through our albums last weekend , looking for pictures that we could use for Ms. Burrito's project, I discovered that I did not have any single copy of that last vacation that we took back in South Korea. It's a bummer but I am glad that we still have the copies of photos in our computer. So before our PC crashes, I will be ordering hard copies for those photos online so we could preserve the memories! Below is just one of so many photos I took during our getaway. Our kids are still little on this photo.

We all miss our fun time together in the land of the morning calm. There are so many things to do in there especially in the beach. We live so far from the beach over here. The first and last time that we have been in the beach ever since I came here was 5 years ago. We went to Pensacola Florida, it was a great travel! I just now realize how I neglected to appreciate what we have when I was growing up. We live in the coastal area of the Philippines so swimming in the ocean is just part of our daily activities. Now that we don't have it here, I miss it a lot!

Soarin the Mountain and Seas

Some of the photos of us during our last day of park hopping in Disney World. One of the Epcot attractions that we really love is the Soarin. We experienced an exhilarating adventure, a hang -giding tour of seeing beautiful places of the Golden State, California.

We were fastened to a seat belt on the multi-passenger glider and was lifted 40 feet into the air. You will soar and see panoramic scenes of California. You will feel like you were really flying when the glider moves the same way as the aircraft.

Personalized Girts for Kids

My daughter came home with a necklace from her friend the other day. It has some of the letters from the word best friend. She said that half of the heart pendant is with her friend. She said that Ms. J liked the personalized water globe that we got for her during her birthday. The place where we bought it sent me some coupons to use at their place. There are so many personalized birthday gifts for kids out there and I think that I may have to buy one for my daughter in her birthday but let us see.

H&R Block at Highland Hills

Hey everyone. Who among you are done filing taxes already? We did ours last weekend. We originally planned to do it ourselves at Turbo Tax online but there was something wrong with their system. I wasn't sure if it was just a glitch but there are options that it wasn't right for our category. So we went to the H&R Block in Highland Hills where my niece-in-law is working. She's the branch manager there so she has free slots for family members and friends. We only paid the filing fee but the rest was free. Thank you so much Jen!

Mr. Burrito wasn't feeling very good that day and he was throwing up all over the place. I felt so bad for him as he was feeling so groggy but we managed to finish our taxes. He was the one who got hit by the stomach flu virus that all of them has now. I am praying that I won't get it so I can take care of them.

Staying Fit

For the last two weeks my workout was spent outside, gardening. I am trying my best to really get on track about working out this year. I really want to get rid of my stubborn tummy fat. How about you, are you keeping up with your goal on losing weight this year? Some people resort to get hcg shots for weight loss especially those who doesn't have enough time to work out. With me, I just need the will and determination to keep what I am doing to stay fit. We have a mini gym at the basement so we uses it during winter when we can't exercise outside.

Essential Oils

Do you use essential oils ? In the country where I came from, they are very big on these products especially if you have kids. I actually brought some when I came here and has been using it for my kids. Even hubby uses it sometimes. It's funny that at first, my husband did not want me to use it to the kids but I told him the I grew up seeing my mother used them a lot when we were kids so it is safe. One time, I used it on him for his discomfort and he felt beter so from then on, he agreed with me.

Regular Day of Photo Fun

Just another regular and ordinary day of fun for photo session with my Burritos. They were up to it yesterday so I took the opportunity to just click, click, click. Ms Burrito love taking photos too just like me. Me and his brother were her subjects. Photos were taken yesterday at my FIL's home after attending mass.

Got this top for a little over 5 dollars at JCP, it was regularly priced for 30 plus dollars.

Thanks to the self timer of the camera, we were able to take a photo of us. Hubby was chatting with my FIL downstairs and we were busy taking photos upstairs at my FIL's guest bedroom. We are having rainy days for a couple days now so taking photos is entertaining us all.

Little Equestrian

It's been almost two years since we visited my father-in-law's younger sister down in West Union. That was the first time that my kids experience to ride a horse. We got lost and stopped by at this ranch with horses and other animals and they invited us to stop for a little while. It was so nice of them to let the kids rode the horse although they did not have a proper equestrian clothing with them. That was one memorable experience that the kids treasures.
