Anyone keen to discuss just how horrible the new Muppet Show is/was? I note that it's not an available option to make a proper FanFare post, which is probably just as well. I mean, it's properly bad. A pile-on might be fun.

Is anyone watching the new Ken Burns series The American Revolution? If so, is there any interest in discussing? I'm actually quite surprised how not whitewashed it is. Lots of folks are probably going to be very upset with how the founding fathers are represented.

There's a cluster of (at least) three comedy films from the first half of the 80s that share a common trope, which I think would be interesting to open up for a meta-discussion. I'm not sure if I should make a club, or instead post the movies to FanFare and then have a FanFare Talk post for the meta-discussion.

There are ALL KINDS of more important effects expected than this, but it is nevertheless true that us nerds who collect boutique blu-rays may well be hit pretty hard by the tariffs. Orbit has already outlined a "you pay half the tariff, we pay half" policy for imports. Other retailers who import discs to the US and/or labels that ship direct to US customers from overseas are expected to follow suit. Anyone formulating a plan?

Finish That Abandoned Series! What are yours?

This is giving us the opportunity to finish some series we abandoned on platforms we had previously canceled, and motivation to finish others on platforms we are about to cancel. However, speaking of form...what are films that changed the form itself? Some contenders: Batman (1989): Yes, it's now a bit of a Gen-X cringe moment. But for me personally, this dark Gotham and Michael Keaton anti-hero madness rewrote the Christopher Reeve part of my brain and resulted in a 23,000 Mary Sue fanfic script. For better or for worse did it rewrite the genre?
