This sweet little guy is the newest addition to one of my favorite families! Aside from a little “accident” while cuddling with Mom, he was an absolute gem for the entire session!

|Homemade Treats| Banana Pops!

My mom will be so proud of me when she reads this post: I made the kids homemade banana popsicles today. I came across the recipe in my recipe box when trying to find the recipe for Banana Bread last week and remembered the popsicle molds my mom gave to me (which are the same molds we used when growing up.) So this morning, after checking the Phoenix forecast for the 110 degree heat for the weekend, I thought today was the PERFECT day to make some cold treats for the kids this weekend. Thankfully, the ingredient list is short and I had three perfect, overly ripe, bananas to work with. I even got a little crazy and added in some fresh strawberries for 1/2 of the batch!

Here is a link to Amazon.com for some popsicle molds. You could also use paper Dixie Cups and wooden popsicle sticks.

Banana Pops:

3 bananas, chopped

1 c. orange juice

1 T lemon juice

3 T sugar

Mix in blender until smooth. Fille popsicle molds and freeze. Enjoy!

Unfortunately I’ve fallen a bit behind and this preview is a week overdue! Miss Ashley was a peach of a model for me - just happy as a clam to doze off after a good feeding and snuggle in with her parents for some adorable relationship portraits. What more could I ask for?

Digging CLEAR back to December 2007 brings up a blog post about this little gal as a newborn - ADORABLE - and you can see, this little beauty just keeps getting cuter! Now she’s going to be a big sister in a few weeks!

Did I mention she’s got a TON of personality bundled up in a small package!

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the K family since their oldest girl was a tiny newborn - nearly 4 years ago! Since then they’ve added a sweet red-headed beauty and a handsome son to their collection of kiddos. They came in last week to capture Mr. D’s seven-month adoreable-ness. I am not sure babies get much sweeter than Mr. Benjamin. Such the model baby - sleeping so soundly for his newborn photo session! He did let us get a glimpse of his beautiful gray-blue eyes at the end of his session as he snuggled in with a hand made quilt given to him as a gift. I just love the portrait of him in his daddy’s arms and had to include it as part of the sneak peek since Father’s Day is just around the corner!

This week’s shopping took me to Gap.com to browse for outfits - a little more personal for me as I am looking for something fun and colorful for my family for a portrait session we have scheduled while on vacation in northern Montana next month (I can already feel the cool breeze and the fresh mountain air!)

I found the dress first and fell in love - just love the vibrant color (I may have to work on a tan). And while it breaks my general rule to avoid sleeveless, it would be perfect paired with a darker denim jean jacket (which I conveniently already own!)

I have to admit, I am going to have to convince my hubby to wear the dark plum shirt. To up the casual factor a bit, I will likely pair it with a white shirt underneath and he can wear it open. For the kids - well, comfort is the key and while I found an ADORABLE dress for Sarah, she simply won’t have anything to do with dresses at this point, so I stuck with a magenta top and dark denim capris.

Miss Aspen was such a doll - so sweet and cooperative! This little cutie is Colorado bound (and what better place for an Aspen to reside?) Huge thanks to her mom & dad for letting me be a part of such a special time!
