Hello everyone,

I finally had some time to do my nails during my holidays. I've been dying to paint owls on my nails and only today I managed to do so.

I love owls so much that I regret I only painted one on my nail. So that leaves me no choice but to paint more owls soon!

Essence - Oh My Glitter!

Hi everyone,

sorry I've been MIA. I'm on holidays and haven't had much time to do my nails. I managed to keep my previous rainbow gradient mani for 2 weeks!!! I had some chipping on both pinkies and minor ones on the other fingers. Don't ask me how, because I honestly don't know what the secret is. My pedi is still holding on just fine.

Those who follow me on Instagram, Facebook and other social media, already saw that my index finger nail broke. So I trimmed down my nails to nubs. It'll take some time to get used to my nubbins, but nails grow! :)

I applied 2 coats of Essence Oh My Glitter! I was lacking inspiration so I opted for simple roses.

Lime Crime Rainbow Gradient

Hi everyone,

I posted this rainbow pedi picture on Instagram last week.

I was so happy with how it turned out and everyone liked it so much that I had to match my nails with my toes!

I used all the Lime Crime Les Dessert d'Antoinette nail polishes, with the exception of Milky Ways, for this rainbow gradient.

Fake Tattoos [Review]

Hi everyone,

I have another product review for you. This time it's not polish, it's Fake (nail) Tattoos! FakeTattoos is the leading webshop of temporary tattoos in Europe, based in Gothenburg, Sweden. They have two product lines:

1. Stock tattoos - the temporary tattoos on stock in their webshop
2. Custom tattoo production - this is when they produce custom temporary tattoos for companies or any other corporate citizens and special events

According to their website, their temporary tattoos are completely safe, non-toxic and hypoallergenic. They use only FDA certified colorants and time-proven manufacturing techniques to ensure their products meet or exceed all applicable U.S. and international regulatory requirements.

They were kind enough to send me all 6 tattoo designs they have available for sale. Here they are:

They were all so cute that it was very difficult to choose which one to try first. But I had to start somewhere, so I picked the "diamond" tattoo.

The tattoo is very easy to apply. This is how to transfer them to your nails:
1. Clean your nail with soap and water
2. Cut out the desired tattoo
3. Take slowly away the plastic cover and press the tattoo on to the nail
4. Keep pressing with wet paper
5. When you feel that the paperbacking is sliding away you can slowly remove it
6. Let the tatto dry for 5 min
7. Choose a high quality top coat and paint the nail (paint at least two thin layers)
8. Let it dry
9. Finished!

Fake Tattoos can be purchased directly thru their website for €7(9$) per design package, each containing 2 sheets of tattoos.

I still haven't tested the colored tattoos, so I can't say anything yet about how "opaque" they are over color nail polish. But I'll be trying them soon. Overall I really like these nail tattoos! They are an easy and fun way to spice up your manicure! I wish they had a "superheroes" design as well, it would have complemented their collection really well! Don't you think so? :)

Bondi - Chasing the Sun [Review]

Hi everyone,

I would like to introduce to you a new nail polish brand called Bondi. The company was launched this year with a collection of twenty fashion forward colors that are five free (formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, toluene and DBP). Based out of New York, Bondi is American made with all of the net profits going to their non-profit foundation which supports a wide variety of charitable causes throughout the United States.

I received a bottle of Chasing the Sun for review.

Chasing the Sun is a beautiful and vibrant orange shade. The application was very easy and the formula is very pigmented. It's almost a one-coater, but I applied 2 coats for perfect coverage.

Chasing the Sun and the other 19 colors can be purchased directly from Bondi's website or Harlow&Co for $15 each bottle of 15ml/0.5fl.oz. At this price tag, these polishes are, in my opinion, a little pricey. For someone like me (located in Europe), the polishes become a less attractive option, when taking the added shipping cost into account.

Overall I'm very pleased with Chasing the Sun and I definitely recommend it. The only thing that I miss is a wide brush. I have been wearing this polish for 3 days and there's no sign of wear/chip yet.

OPI - Polka.com

Hi everyone,

those who follow me on Instagram saw that I received nail mail, which included 3 of my picks of the OPI Euro Centrale collection: My Vampire is Buff, You're Such a Budapest and Polka.com. These were not the only ones I liked, but I was short of cash, so I only got these 3 plus Lights of Emerald City.

I wanted to use all 3 right away, so this was the only thing I had in mind:

Application was great for both My Vampire is Buff and You're such a Budapest. You're such a Budapest was a bit on the thin/runny side, but still very easy to apply. This was 2 coats, topped with 1 coat of Polka.com. The brush picked up a very good amount of glitter in each application.

I think I have seen this combo elsewhere, but I just can't remember where.

Easter Bunny

Hello everyone,

it's almost Easter and I already have my nails ready for the holiday. :-)

I wanted to paint a bunny, so this is what it became:

I was in doubt whether to leave the other nails blank or to make colorful easter egg patterns. So I opted for the latter and with the help of scrapbooking scissors, I cut some scotch tape and painted some random patterns.

Vintage Roses

Hello my dear readers,

I've already said good-bye to winter and I'm pretty much in the spring mood right now, even though it's still chilly outside.

Last time I showed you this beautiful mint green shade by Essence. So I translated my spring mood into my nails by adding some vintage roses to my accent nail.

I first applied white striping tape on my nail, then painted the roses with acrylic paint. Very easy and not time consuming at all!

Hi everyone,

As you can see, I totally changed my blog layout and along with it, I'm also changing the way I post my pictures. I hope you like the new changes.

I found that the older blog design kind of diverted the attention from the pictures. It was way too busy and too colorful. I was doubting between black and white, but since the pictures' backgrounds are black, I decided to make the whole blog black as well. I hope you guys like it!

it's finally spring time in the northern hemisphere! I know it doesn't feel like spring for everyone yet, but we can finally say good-bye to winter!!!

These nails were done a while ago when it was still winter, and only now I realize I never posted it. I thought today was quite a nice day to post this, as we can finally lock our thick sweaters in the closet!

St. Patrick's Day

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a great weekend and a nice St. Patrick's day! We don't really celebrate it over here, but I wanted to do a St. Patrik's Day mani to get into to the festive mood anyway.

Nothing fancy or difficult this time. All I did was a sponged gradient using Zoya Envy and Shawn, then topped with gLORIous 22K Gold Leaf top coat.

Kiko - Sugar Mat #644

Hi everyone,

This week I received the Kiko polishes I ordered online during the 20% off promo. So I picked a selection of Sugar Mat and Mirror polishes. And today I want to show you one of the Sugar Mat.

As with all Kiko polishes, the shades don't really have names, but rather numbers. This one is #644.

Application was very easy and opacity was achieved with just one coat, but I applied two coats for a better looking texture.

I applied top coat to my index and ring fingers for comparison. It's beautiful either way! I really like this polish! I can't wait to try out the others. I hope you liked it too!

Today I'll be short and quick, just like the mani I have for today's post. I didn't have much time to do it, so it was just a simple and quick mani.

If I had used golden striping tape, it could have been a St. Patrick's Day mani. But well, that wasn't really my idea anyway. I wanted something quick and not just a plain mani. So, striping tape and rhinestones it was! Simple, easy and fast! :)

Romero Britto Inspired Nails

I've been wanting to do a Romero Britto inspired mani for ages and yesterday I finally did it!

I wasn't sure if I wanted to paint the design only on an accent nail or all nails. So I first started with my ring finger and planned on leaving all the other nails in plain color. But I changed my mind and did some random colorful shapes filled with dots and lines. Here's how it turned out:

Valentine's Nails

I know this post is quite late, but I want to show you anyways what I had on my nails on Valentine's Day.

This was the first mani I did a few days before Valentine's.

The accent nail didn't end up exactly how I planned, but most of the mani's I do don't quite end up the way I first planned them anyway.

So on Valentine's day itself, I gave it another try and did another mani to match my outfit for the evening. :)

This mani was pretty much as I wanted it to be! Finally! :p I just wished the dark red polish heart would look dark red instead of almost black. But fine, it was all about the contrast anyway.

Recycling the Mani

Hi girls (and guys),

Remember my previous mani? After a day I removed the flower and the pearls but I was too lazy to do a full mani. So I reused the base color, which was still perfectly fine with no tip wear, and applied a coat of the pretty Sakura Matsuri by Rainbow Honey over it. The result? You can see for yourself!

I was very pleased with the result! I got to enjoy a "new" mani for a few more days without having to redo it all.

[Review] BornPrettyStore - Sweet Color Polish

Hello my dear readers,

I have recently received this Sweet Color polish from BornPrettyStore for review. The colors don't have names, only numbers. The one I'm wearing on the picture is #232. As you can see, it's a jelly polish.

Index finger: 1 coat, middle finger: 2 coats, ring finger: 3 coats, pinky: 4 coats

This polish was very easy to apply and will achieve opacity in 3 coats. With 4 coats you'll have almost full opacity, but there'll still be some VNL. Again, this is a jelly polish! For the glitter junkies amongst us, this polish is perfect for glitter jelly sandwiches.

For this sandwich, I applied 1 coat of Darling Diva Polish Pendragon, followed by an extra coat of Sweet Color #232. So I've ended up with 2 coats of Sweet Color #232 on my index, 3 coats on my middle finger and so on.

My overall impression is really good! It applies easily and is great for glitter sandwiches! The only downside is the smell: it has a very weird smell! I wonder if this polish is 3 Free.

Hi girls (and guys)!

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! I'm still away from home, but I'll be returning soon (in a week or so) and will start updating my blog. I have loads of things to post, but I've had no time since I left.

Anyway, this is an oldie, but it's my all time favorite polish: Glitter in the Air by Deborah Lippmann.

I took this picture a long time ago, hence the old watermark. I can't recall the underwear I used. I know it's Essence and it's already discontinued. I'll update this post, when I figure out what it is called.

Glitter in the Air is so pretty and delicate! I got this polish as a gift from a super special friend, therefore it holds a special place in my little heart! <3
