Kim & Mike | Gone with the Wind Proposal

When Latyoa from WM Events reached out to me asking if I’d be interested in photographing a Gone with the Wind themed proposal, you know I said yes! Mike flew his girlfriend Kim all the way from California to Covington, Georgia to the Twelve Oaks Bed and Breakfast to surprise her by popping the question in period attire! We told Kim they had been randomly selected to do a photoshoot at the home, then she was surprised by Mike at the bottom of the stairs as he recited lines from the movie and proposed! She had no clue and it was absolutely perfect! The bed and breakfast was the perfect backdrop for the proposal and had these two amazing yellow trees out front that were beautiful, and was the only color left on the property! Congrats on your engagement Kim and Mike!

Welcome to the World Joaquin

So if you’ve noticed the lack of posting as of late, it’s because Melissa welcomed her son Joaquin into the world on July 18th! Needless to say, been taking a break from work until the end of September to take care of her new little boy. We are beyond excited to announce his arrival and wanted to share some photos from his first few weeks in the world! Everyone is doing great, healthy, and Mouse and Nelly are enjoying his company as well (especially Mouse, she is quite the Nana dog!)

Ali & Andrew | Villa Christina Wedding

Ali and Andrew had a beautiful summer wedding (which was a super mild day in July!) at the always incredible Villa Christina in Atlanta. The couple chose to do a first look that allowed us some extra time for more photos around the property, and some family photos before the ceremony happened as well. Ali and Andrew were so chill and laid back about everything that it made the day just such a blast to hang out with such an awesome couple, as well as their families. The couple chose to tie the knot outdoors, then took the reception inside for one awesome party facilitated by Mix Pro Events and Entertainment. Our team had one awesome time celebrating with this sweet couple! Congrats guys!

Corinne & Brian | Downtown Dahlonega Engagement Session

Corinne & Brian met at school in Dahlonega, and are getting married at the gorgeous Wolf Mountain Vineyards this fall, so they chose to keep Dahlonega in the theme of their wedding and take engagement photos downtown! We had a great time walking around a quiet square on a Tuesday evening in the summer Looking forward to photographing the ceremony in November!

Claire & Coleton | Dekalb History Center

Oh what FUN we had with this couple! Claire and Coleton had a spring time wedding at one of our favorite spots, The Dekalb History Center (Or Old Decatur Courthouse as many know it). The girls chose to get ready at a nearby house which was super fun and allowed us a little more time for some photos of Claire ahead of time (see her beautiful bridals in front of the tree!). The guys were at the Courthouse hanging out with Shauna and laughing their way through photos. Who says guys can’t do the laugh too?!?! Peachy Keen Planners did a fantastic job making sure they day ran smoothly (as well as making all the floral arrangements!!!). Cake Hag made the most BEAUTIFUL cakes, and they tasted just as good. Siruius Diversions made sure that the music was just perfect for the guests to get out on the dance floor and party the night away. Coleton and many in his family are Georgia Tech grads, so they got the one and only RAMBLIN WRECK as their exit car!!!!! Not many can say they had that at their wedding (nor a cake shaped in it either!). We wish this fantastic couple a lifetime of happiness and love!

Kristi & James | Rocky Mountain National Park

Melissa and Kristi go back. Like WAYYYYY back. To fourth grade back. Kristi was in Melissa’s wedding, Melissa will be a bridesmaid in Kristi’s wedding next year. That sort of awesome long term friendship Since Melissa will be wearing some sort of pretty dress and walking down an aisle for her friend, taking photos the day of is out of the question! So instead we did a KILLER engagement session for this amazing couple a short drive from their Denver home in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Kristi and James love all things Colorado and adventure seeking, so it was only fitting to do their session outdoors with the mountains as the backdrop! We all loaded up in the car, took the drive to the park, and then just pulled off on the side of the road whenever we found something we liked. We had the absolute best time on this adventure and can’t wait to be a part of their wedding next summer!I mean, this view. ….American Rocky Mountain Gothic anyone?!?!?!The adventure crew, Melissa’s husband Bobby, Kristi, James, and Melissa.
