It’s been so long since I posted in this space, I literally forgot how to do it. I can’t tell you how long it took me to remember what website to go to and then what my username/password were… Oh my! Mom brain in full effect.

Back in February, our family began fostering the sweetest newborn baby boy and I wasn’t able to take on many sessions in the winter and spring months. So, in order to serve as many of my families as I can I’ve decided to offer several dates of minisession during the late summer and fall.

Prices are listed below each session and include session fee, all images from your session via digital download (30-40 photos) and printing rights.

Golden Girls

Getting to photograph little girls is such a treat for me since I live in an all boy world here at home. I almost get a little giddy shooting sessions like this. Mom had to reschedule this shoot several times because life stuff just kept happening as it always does. Especially when you’ve got toddlers and preschoolers. But I think it was meant to be. We ended up shooting on the most perfectly beautiful fall day. It was warm, but not sweating-in-our-fall-clothes hot. The leaves had just turned this perfectly golden color. (Insert all the heart eye emojis) This curly headed cutie even took a great nap that day and was ALL SMILES. Seriously, I’m not sure a two year old has ever been this cooperative for a session. It was like the stars had all finally aligned. And I think it was totally worth the wait!

Santa Minisessions 2017

The Santa Minisessions at the Nolensville Toy Shop have been one of the most popular events we do each year. 2017 will actually be the 4th year we have done this event! This year’s sessions will take place on Nov 4, 11 and 18. Each session is $95 and includes your choice of 5 FULL RESOLUTION DIGITAL IMAGES via download from an online gallery emailed to you within approximately 2 weeks. You also have the option to order additional images and/or professional prints. Ordering is easy with our online system. Sessions are 20 minute blocks of time, but actual time in front of the camera is usually only around 10 minutes.

I know, a 10 minute session sounds short right? I mean, it’s possibly longer than the time you would spend with the Santa at the mall, but shorter than an average mini-session. So I wanted to share some examples of the images captured in a single 10-minute Santa session. We are actually able to capture a variety of poses and shots in this short amount of time, including individual posed and candid photos as well as sibling photos and sometimes even a family photo. This week, I wanted to share some actual galleries from year’s past so that you can get an idea of the what we can capture in a short amount of time. First up, these 2 adorable girls:

Details:

Plan to be at the toy shop for around 20 minutes. The actual time in front of the camera is only around 10 minutes, but we allow the additional time for check-in, instructions and transitions. We allow a couple of minutes for each child to talk with Santa and get individual shots, and a few minutes for a few group shots with all children together.

YOU MUST ARRIVE ON TIME. This keeps our entire day on schedule and everyone’s children happy. If you arrive late, you may be asked to wait until a break in the schedule or rescheduled if there are any available appointments.

Appointments are for immediate family only, and the time alloted only allows for a family with around 3-4 children. If you have more children in your immediate family or you would like to include extended family (i.e., cousins, all the grandchildren, etc) please book back-to-back appointments to allow extra time for the additional children and multiple group shots.

Session fee is non-refundable, but it can be transferred to another person if you cannot make your appointment. These appointments always sell out and there are typically lots of families on the waiting list, so failing to attend your appointment is unfair to our business and others. In the event that something comes up and you will not be able to attend your appointment, contact me at 615-364-3807 and I will put you in touch with someone on the waiting list to see if they would like to purchase your appointment time from you. There is no guarantee we can find a buyer for the session or that there will be a waiting list, but we will try. You are free to find a buyer for your session as well.

Remember, it is not unusual for children to cry or avoid Santa. We have a few tricks up our sleeves for this, but we cannot offer refunds. It’s just a moment in time and we will capture that classic screaming-baby-in-Santa’s-lap photo that you will truly come to treasure in the years to come.

Well, I am about 5 years behind on blogging sessions, so I really don’t even know where to begin to catch up. My blogging may seem a bit random (Easter in August), but I have so much I’ve never had the time to share. Here are some of my favorites from one of the Live Bunny Minisessions I did back in April. This was the second year we did the live bunnies for Easter and they are just the cutest and sweetest things. I have really enjoyed them both years. They are certainly the least intimidating of all the animals and the kids seem to take to them right away.
