Soldier’s Memorial Park, Kansas

We found a campsite a little ways off of route 70 called Soldiers Memorial Park out in the middle of nowhere on route 70. It had rave reviews, so we figured we would give it a shot.

After about 20 minutes of driving down dirt roads through corn fields we made it.

Longmont, Colorado

We made it across the Nevada dessert during a record breaking heatwave with no AC, we survived the loneliest highway in America in one of the least reliable cars in America, and we had climbed the 10,000 + foot pass to get to the greater Denver area. It was time for a little break, so we took a little break in Longmont, Colorado.

Heaven’s Peace, Colorado

After 4 days of traveling in an un-air conditioned Vannagon during a record breaking heatwave, we limped into the quaint farm town of Loma, Colorado. We enjoyed the peaceful solitude of a small Al Paca farm called “Heaven’s Peace.”
