Dear music lovers,

Lùisa from Hamburg will do a one-week-concert-tour through Berlin and you’re welcome to join her.
Each day she’ll play w another artist in several quarters of Berlin, so hopefully she’ll sing somewhere around your corner as well..?

Some of you will remember the gifted young lady from the 2nd Melodica Fesival Berlin in May where she enchanted us with her idiosyncratic compositions, complex guitar pickings, dark storytelling and …a unique voice which was obviously shaped by the heavy consumption of Joanna Newsom, Adele and -possibly- Sandy Dillon.

Melodica Compilation #2 is coming

The Melodica Compilation #2 is waiting just around the next corner and will be available on the next Hamburg Melodica.

We are very happy that our first order of business on the brand new website, is to announce the release of the second Melodica Compilation.
The CD will be released shortly after the next Melodica Acoustic Festival in Hamburg, but copies will be available on the festival-weekend.

Like the first one, the second edition features several Melodica heroes and heroines, as well as a few fantastic newcomers to the melodica family. In addition to twelve beautiful tracks by fantastic artists, Melodica founder Pete Uhlenbruch and Melodica Hamburg curator Torben Stock, provided us with the stunning “water song”, which will be co-released with the charitable non-profit organization Viva con Agua (http://www.vivaconagua.org/).

Here are some of the artists featured on Melodica Compilation #2:

Mijo Biscan, Halla Norðfjörð, Town of Saints, Jona Byron, Hello Piedpiper, Il Tempo Gigante and lots more.

We can´t wait hold it in our hands and show it to you, this manifestation of Melodica-spirit.

After a long struggle with the hindrances of the world wide web, we are happy welcome you to the new online home of the Melodica Acoustic Festival. It might not look like much for now, but we are working on uploading content and structure, so that you, dear visitor, may find out all about the beautiful maze that was, is and will be Melodica.
