Melody Nuñez is a mixed-media artist who works in fiber art, using fabric, thread, vintage textiles, and small three-dimensional objects. Though her work is autobiographical it explores universal themes, like motherhood, mental health, and generational trauma.

Melody has won awards in several juried art exhibits, including First Place in a City of Laguna Beach Juried Fine Arts Exhibition and first place in the 2024 ARTventure Juried Exhibition (Fiber Art division). She was one of 11 artists featured in the Brea Gallery’s 2023 Threads That Bind exhibit and was an Artist-in-Residence at the Brea Gallery during the exhibit. Melody has also been an Artist-in-Residence at Dorland Mountain Arts (2021 & 2024).

Melody earned a B.A. in Art from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her art and articles have been featured in several magazines, including Where Women Create and Somerset Studio. You can find Melody’s illustrated collection of short stories here.
