Google Profits - Next Big Gold Rush? - No, Next Big Scam

I've been working from home a long time now as a lot of you know and make an honest living with my google adsense on my informational websites. No, I'm not rich. lol :) A friend of mine passed me along a link to an article today that really jumped up and grabbed my attention.

Jobs: Is Working Online at Home the Next Big Gold Rush

There are a few reasons this grabbed my attention, firstly because it is for making money with Google Adsense, which is what I do. The second reason was that the girl featured in the article actually is from Westfield, my hometown. The final reason was that it was seen on ABC, AOL, MSN, CNN etc. When you look at the article you will see what I mean. They claim she is making $5,000 a month posting google links and she learned her information from 2 courses. Easy Google Profits which costs $1.97 shipping and Enter Your Email which is free. So I immediately went to check out the Google Profits site as listed in the article. I'm not even going to dignify Easy Google Profits with a link in this article because I am infuriated with them as I am writing this.

So once I get on the Google Profits site you need to enter in your name, address, phone number and e-mail to check for availability. This should have sent up a red flag to me, but curiosity and hope for a better income got the best of me and I entered in the information. Once they get all that information from me for this product that will only cost me $1.97 shipping I read the disclaimer in really tiny writing at the top of the site. By authorizing the $1.97 shipping you are receiving a free 7 day trial to not one but three products and after 7 days you will start getting billed for all three products monthly to the tune of just under $100 a month. $100 a month!!!

So then I went and looked up Easy Google profits reviews and found a ton of scam complaints.

These types of programs infuriate me because they really take advantage of all the people who are looking to make extra money from home. Yes you can make money from home. Yes you can definately make money from home with Google Adsense, I am a huge supporter. However pretty much anything you need to know about making money with Google Adsense can be found on their site for free here: Google Adsense

I just wanted to post a review about this quickly as I know how quick these types of programs can take off. The biggest shock is that is was run by all these major networks and they only let the positive comments be put underneath the article. Shame on all the major networks listed on that article for contributing to a scam. Someone should have taken 30 second to look into the validity of the press release of Maria Gonzalez. As for Maria, congratulations, I'm quite sure she is now one rich lady for finding a network ignorant enough to support her in this program.

Training and Expectations

Bookminders provides employees with ongoing training necessary to effectively service clients, including computer-based, one-on-one and group training. After initial training, employees are trained and supervised by experienced staff to service assigned client accounts.

An employee’s workload (and related incentive based compensation) is expected to start out low and to increase based on:

The size and availability of client workload
Employee’s ability to learn quickly

Minimum workload after six months is expected to be 20 hours per week. Once fully trained a bookminder can expect to earn $1,500 - $2,000 per month working 15-20 hours per week. Bookminders working on more complex client assignments can earn $1,500 - $5,000 per month working 15-30 hours per week, and $4,000 - $8,000 per month working on new client setups (> 30 hours a week).

Job Requirements
Qualified applicants must have:

Four-year college degree, preferably in accounting or business
Five years accounting or finance experience
Excellent communication and computer skills
Experience with general ledger accounting software
Separate, dedicated home office space with high-speed internet connection
