Hey there, Im Pete and Im one heck of a great and easy going dog! Im a 2 yrs old shepherd mix and I weigh 40 lbs. My foster mom brags about me all the time, I always hear people telling me she cant believe I havent been scooped up yet because Im the best low maintenance boy. Im not sure what that means, but let me tell you about me. First of all, Im totally housetrained and you I only get crated when mom goes to work or to run errands. Im great with the other dogs in the house, both large and small, and I absolutely love the dog park or for a walk around our neighborhood! I am super friendly, I like to play, but I also like to snuggle with my family, so you get the best of both worlds with me! You see, Im 2 now, so Ive grown out of those puppy behaviors some families dont want to deal with when they get a new dog for the family. Foster mom gives me chew bones to keep me busy sometimes. I love them! I am low shedding too! I do need a 6 privacy fence though in my yard because I can jump over a regular chain link fence. I havent been around cats, so they never know what to tell people about that, but I am good with kids, as long as they are gentle and nice to me! Im at PetSmart at 71st/Mingo just about every weekend. Please come down and meet me, I wont disappoint you. If you haven’t tried Zumba, then you’re missing out on all the fun! Zumba combines dance moves you’ve seen (and probably have tried to emulate) in movies like Dirty Dancing and Shall We Dance. But the moves will be broken down and repeated so you can get used to them. By the time you’re finished with your workout, you’ll be exhausted and you’ll know a few dance moves. You’ll have so much fun you’ll be ready to go back for more!

Wear close fitting clothes and drink lots of water. Loose fitting clothes can get caught up while you’re trying to perform your dance moves and make you move slower!

Don't get discouraged if you let yourself indulge in sweets! Keep on going and change your life!

Keep your resolutions this year! It’s still so early in the year, don’t let yourself get discouraged if you have faltered off the path to fitness. Of course, getting in shape and staying healthy is so important to living a long healthy life, but it’s hard sometimes to resist those chocolate cupcakes and just sitting on the couch all day.

Set your goal and write it down. Then document your progress so you can look back and see how you’re doing. Remember to drink lots of water, and eat lots of fruits and veggies!

Kris is learning commands and his foster mom says he is a smart boy. He’s a fast learner. Good with other dogs and very playful.The adoption fee is $100 and includes vet exam, all vaccinations plus rabies, deworming, negative heartworm test, and spay/neuter surgery.
