The NBA has an attack mode to most of it’s set plays because of the 24 second clock. The teams don’t waste time of possessions especially with good defensive competition. Because of the 24-second clock, the NBA has to have an attacking mentality on offense. Gregg Popovich understand the concept of spacing the floor to have your best players with room to make plays.

NBA Coaches understand that players and coaches are like business partners and it’s not good to yell at your partner. It really shouldn’t be that way on the college or high school level either. Gregg Popovich understands that you can’t have too many huge egos on one team. The San Antonio Spurs promote a family environment and don’t bring problem children on their team.

You have to keep everyone on your basketball team engaged over a long season like 82 games so it’s critical that NBA coaches develop their bench. The Spurs have the best bench in the NBA right now. They have star power, but their bench is full of free agents and key players that help win games for them. You have to keep a happy locker room and confidence in your players is huge for them.

The best NBA coaches also give their players more options in a set play. The typical NBA inbounds basketball play can have six options to it. The coach will let the players decide on how to attack the basket.

Every coach on any level should be looking to improve their basketball coaching ability. You can learn from the NBA coaches and players in this postseason. The NBA Playoffs are a great time to learn from the best of the best.

I think that you will like these basketball plays from Anthony Elias. Anthony Elias is one of our basketball coaching contributors to Men’s Basketball HoopScoop. I hope that you enjoy it.

No doubt you have succumbed to the “Madness” yourself at times and spent hours watching the teams and found new plays that intrigued you. Perhaps you have even applied some of these plays to your own teams, with varied success. Maybe you wish you had a bit more in-depth analysis and explanation of some of these plays so you could add them to your playbook in a more complete form. You can find exactly this in the “2012 NCAA Tournament Playbook”. Inside you will find the top plays from the top teams of the 2012 national tournament.

Have you ever found you thought you knew everything there was to know about basketball and then you came across a team that used a system that completely confounded and befuddled you? If you do not have all the answers, you can bet your players will probably be in an even worse state. If you don’t have answers to unexpected game situations, you will find it easy to struggle against teams that use unique sets and run plays you haven’t before encountered. No doubt the coaches in the 2012 national tournament have found themselves in similar situations as this, throughout the years.

You see, great coaches know that even if they do a lot of scouting, they will sometimes find themselves such as the 2012 national tournament, for instance, against a team that they have not had a lot of time to scout. They will need to have some plays in the playbook that they normally didn’t use in order to counter rare strategies. If you take a look at this ebook, you will have as many plays as these coaches have in order to grow your own playbook so that you can have plays ready to go for as many situations as humanly possible.

>>>Get it now and get access to the spectacular basketball plays utilized in the 2012 national tournament<<<

The teams who got to the 2012 national tournament deserved it. They got there through hard play and highly developed strategies. Think you could learn something from them? They pushed themselves to the limit, just as you want your players to do. And the more plays you can give them to help as they push themselves, the better off you will be.

>>>That’s why you may want to see what plays you can add to your playbook from the teams of the 2012 national tournament<<<

Everyone has access to the same materials in this day and age, so you need to be that extra bit better, that extra bit persistent, to help take your team to higher levels. The difference between a good team and a great team is actually a slim margin, and can just mean a difference of five points per game scored on average, but even so it can seem like you never can get that extra few points on average that you need to have a better record and become a powerhouse to be feared by all.

What does it take, in basketball coaching, to reach that higher level? Yes, you have persistence. Yes, you have desire. These two attributes are a must for anyone involved in basketball coaching. You have to be hungry, for sure.

However, what you need more than anything else is creativity. As Einstein said, knowledge is limited, but imagination encircles the world. The more creative you can be in your basketball coaching the better chance you have of coming up with plays and systems that will confound and frustrate even the most athletically gifted of opponents. So, do not underestimate the power of creative thinking as you approach your team plans and your basketball coaching philosophy.

One thing you can do, in basketball coaching, is to build upon the knowledge and plans of others who have come before you. You do not have to necessarily do the same things they do, but you can take what has worked for dominant, championship teams, and tweak it a bit to fit the unique situation of your team. As such, you may be able to use the “2011-2012 NCAA Marathon Basketball: A shockingly creative basketball playbook” to help reach your goal of creativity in your strategy formulation.

>>>Grab it now<<<

You need basketball knowledge, but remember that it’s that spark of creativity that innovates, that astounds, and that ultimately leads to greater success as a coach and as a basketball team. This playbook will help you get into that mindset as you get inside the heads of some of the most creative and successful basketball coaches involved in the game, today. You will come to realize what it takes to succeed in basketball coaching and thus, succeed in creating a winning path for your team that can last for years to come.

>>>Now you can get it for only $17.95<<<

If you watched this game, you surely did not come away disappointed with the level of both athletic skill and effective coaching displayed within. You surely know that Calipari’s tenacity to keep with his dribble-drive motion offense over the years led to entertaining guard play and often a lot of quick attacks, but could it actually lead to the greatest success imaginable at this level? Of course you know now, after Kentucky’s win in the 2012 National Championship, that it can work and that it can lead the right team to become a champion.

Probably the best way to learn the most from this title game can be found inside the ebook, “Basketball playbook of champions: The 2012 National Championship Playbook” You will find a breakdown of the whole game and the plays and strategies of both teams as they faced each other in a clash of titans. Kansas are no slouches either, and never have been, so you can reap the benefits of analyzing the basketball philosophy they used which helped them reach the 2012 National Championship in the first place.

Every coach dreams of winning titles and championships and perhaps harbors possibly unrealistic dreams of being a millionaire coach known by coaches around the country. While this dream will not come true for most coaches, at least you can know the plays and creativity strategies that helped the two coaches of Kentucky and Kansas get their teams to the 2012 National Championship.

As you analyze the plays, you need to think about how you can apply them to your team and your players. Add a play here and there and then try them out for your team, as that’s the only way you can truly get the most out of a playbook such as this.

>>>Now you can grab it for only $17.95<<<

It’s not just plays that make champions, it’s also great players. But how many teams do you know with great players that consistently under-perform? There are too many, and any coach worth his coaching salt knows that he can take good players and help them achieve far more than they ever dreamed of doing.

>>>If you follow in the footsteps of the two coaches who led their teams to the 2012 National Championship, you will find it hard to go wrong<<<

MIAMI HEAT ZIPPER SERIES

Now that Chris Bosh is out with a strained abdominal muscle, Eric Spoelstra now has an even smaller arsenal of offensive weapons. The Heat have a team the have extreme pieces/players to utilize on offense, they have ultra dynamic scorers in Wade and Lebron in addition to players who are limited in there offensive skill at this point in their careers (Mario Chalmers, Joel Anthony, Dexter Pittman, Mike Miller, and Shane Battier). Spoelstra must find ways to move these pieces around and involve them in sets that set up his best two players and force the defense to give up easy looks to the Heat’s role players if they focus all their defensive energy on Lebron and Wade.

In the following frames the 1 and 2 positions are played by Lebron James and Dwayne Wade. Spoelstra has used them both as the point and the two guard in this set. It provides mis-direction and false motion and ends in a wing pick and roll as well as transitioning into other sets and counters. The initial set is as follow

The one dribble enters into a zipper screen for the two (Lebron actually got a quick seal and score when Danny Granger overplayed his cut off this screen at one point in their playoff series) the two receives the ball at the top of the key. after throwing the ball to the two, the one will make an Iverson cut across the free throw line and off the five. The two will then enter the ball to the one on the wing who can drive baseline immediately if overplayed. The five will then sprint into a wing pick an roll while the weak side of the floor is spaced by the other three players.

One of the first counters the heat run is a two man back door ( I have also seen the Thunder run a play like this for Kevin Durant). As the 1 makes the Iverson Cut , the four will flash back to the elbow and catch the ball and look to hit the one curling the Iverson cut to the rim off the five. This is work as a counter if the defense sags off the four and/or the are locking and trailing the one off the Iverson cut.

Since the two is also usually one of the heats main play makers in this set they also have an option to go into a middle screen for them. In the frames below after the iverson cut is made and the five’s defender is expecting to guard a wing ball screen, now the five will snake into a middle ball screen with the two.
