In the 1870 US census my ancestor Thomas Kane is found in Lackawannock Twp. listed as CANEE or (Canu); Thomas 32; Catherine 30;John 8 (MA); Patsy 5 (PA);Mary 3 (PA); Winnie 1 (PA);Gahen William 24 (Ire).
Their daughter Winifred KEAN was baptized at then All Saints Church, Mercer on 28 Mar 1869. I have not been able to get any info on Mary's (1867) baptism. Parents as listed as Thomas KEAN & Catherine GARAN (Gavin)

McLean/ McClean/ McClain family

I am researching the John McLean family. The earliest record that I have for him is in Berkeley Cty, Va in 1771 with the purchase of property. He and his family then move to Mercer Cty, Pa. I find McLeans in Mahoning, Salem and Coolspring. From property records I know that John had a wife named Agnes however I do not believe that she survives long enough to follow the family to Pa. I found a marriage record between William McFate/ Tate and Mary McLean in Frederick County, Va. No other marriages for his family have been found.

Joseph James Battyanyi Sr.
Joseph J. Battyanyi Sr. of Transfer, passed away peacefully at 10:00 am Friday (11-29-13) in Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage. He was 97.
Joe was born to Sigmond and Ethel Puskai Battyanyi on Jan. 2 1916, in Sharon, Pa.
He married his wife Elizabeth Klein on Aug. 6th 1938 and celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary together this year.
Joe was a veteran of the US Army and honorably discharged.
