Merci Mama is a Melbourne based, bespoke catering business, exclusively for events.
Our approach to food is simple – we let the flavours of high quality produce do all the talking. Our food is tasty, modern, fresh and interesting. We cater for all events, both big and small. If your event is special enough to cater, then we’ll be there.
WE’LL MAKE THE FOOD AS SPECIAL AS YOUR EVENT. THE REST IS UP TO YOU.
We’ll work with you to develop a menu that matches the theme of your event, and make sure that the food is just right for your guests, the venue and the rest of the vibe of the event. Your menu will be one of a kind, made with love and care just for you.

We’re as comfortable matching a menu to your thongs and boardies’ pool party as we are to your once in a lifetime black tie do. We’ll be as excited about the event as you are, and bring a cool and calm approach so there’s one less thing for you to worry about.

We’ve catered weddings, engagement parties, special birthdays, corporate events and name day celebrations. And, because we have no minimum number of guests, we’re open to providing you with the right food to match the feel of any event you’re planning.
We’ll make the food as special as your event. The rest is up to you.
We don’t have a set menu, a minimum number of guests, or even a set style of food. We use what tastes good, is in season, and will work at your event. We’ll create food you’ll be proud to serve your guests.

Hi! I’m Jules. I’m the one wearing the apron behind the scenes here at Merci Mama.
I’ve got a confession to make… I am crazy about food!
I love everything about it. From the changes of the season, the smells and tastes, and the presentation of beautifully crafted food made with care, to the smiles I see on the faces of people enjoying good food.
WITH A JAPANESE MUM AND A MALTESE DAD, THERE IS NO QUESTION THAT LOVING FOOD IS IN MY GENES.
But, to me, the most amazing thing about food is how it makes me feel.
My favourite memories involve food, and the smiles and (sometimes) tears of the beautiful people in my life who have come and gone. I love the way that food can start a conversation, from a simple piece of toast to a lovingly made Sunday roast. Food is just always a part of the most memorable, poignant moments in my life.
I love the way food can do anything, from curing a hangover (ouch) to being an excuse to catch up with old friends. When I look back on it, I see that I am happiest when I am sharing good, honest food with people who love the food, and the experience of sharing it, as much as I do.
I’VE ALWAYS BEEN A PERFECTIONIST, AND MERCI MAMA IS NO DIFFERENT.
Not only will I make food that you and your guests will love – I will also think of all the little things to turn your event into a success. Those little touches of care, thought and planning are what make an event work. Nothing will be too much effort.
My goal is to exceed your expectations, blow your guests away and just let your event unfold into exactly what YOU wanted it to be.

I’ve always been a perfectionist, and Merci Mama is no different.
So, why Merci Mama (pronounced with a French accent), you ask?
I suppose it’s a bit of a dedication to my mum who is far and away the best cook I know.
Like me, food was always on her mind. It was her amazing skills in the kitchen that always brought our big family together. I have such great memories of her whipping up three course dinners every night and having the crazy ability to exactly recreate dishes she had eaten in restaurants and often improve on them! Unfortunately she’s no longer here to dazzle everyone with her kitchen prowess but when I’m in the kitchen, I feel connected to her.
