Mercury Intermedia builds applications for a wide range of mobile platforms aimed at key vertical markets. Mercury Intermedia started as a web development firm in 1995 under the name Tallent Communications. In 2003, Tallent Communications turned their focus to high engagement, web enabled desktop applications, producing products for Sports Illustrated, Golf Magazine, FedEx, and NFL teams. Recognizing the growing potential of next generation mobile devices such as the iPhone and Android, Mercury Intermedia refocused company efforts on mobile development, and in December of 2008, launched their first iPhone application, USA TODAY for iPhone.
