So one thing that MercyMe has enjoyed over the years is our times to play at this nations fairs. I mean, who can resist a corny dog or funnel cake or some fried Oreos? Its one of the best times of our summer. But seriously, we realize that each fair gives the Church one night to have as our own. Sometimes MercyMe is invited to be a part of it. Its that one night in the fairs two weeks of concerts that the Church body as whole can show up and say this is our night and this is how we do it – We Worship.

Sometimes we are sandwiched in between Kid Rock and Kelly Clarkson. But time after time the Church shows up to make a statement and say that we are here and that we something to say. The feedback we hear from the fair promoters is unbelievable. So whether its MercyMe or another one of your favorite CCM artists, lets get out to your state, county or regional fair and support that one night we get to show that we Love Jesus and have a voice.

Cant wait to see you AT THE FAIR. Check out the tour dates section for more details!

Hey all you MercyMe interwebers!!!!!!

So summer is here, and with it, comes….. VACATION!!!!!!!!! Lots of hot sweaty vacation!!!! We’ve all been going our separate ways and enjoying some time off with our families.

The Cochrans went to Missouri for some time away with family. The Shaffers went and caught some Cardinals games in St. Louis. The Brysons are at home changing an insurmountable number of diapers. Not sure what in the world the Grauls have been doing, but i think it has something to do with building a motorcycle. The Millards and Scheuchzers…. we went to the beach… together… 7 kids… 4 adults… 1 beach house… a few friends stopping by… (including everyone’s favorite web ninja Brody Harper and family,) it has been, aside from Bart’s little bout with heat exhaustion, AMAZING!!!

Now that we’re all rested up… don’t you think it’s just about time we hit the road and did a few shows??? Us too. We can’t wait to play these new Mr. Lovewell songs and hear you guys singing along!!! So if you’re coming out to one of our summer shows, make sure you have your prettiest singing voices ready…. ok…. pretty is not required, but LOUD is a must! If you’re not sure if we’re coming near you, click here to see our summer schedule.

Hope to see you and hear you soon!!!!!

Here are a few random pictures of us all jumping on the beach.

“I am excited about this sales debut by MercyMe,” remarked INO Records’ President Jeff Moseley. “To continually outdo themselves on each release is rare. In this business environment, a No. 3 debut by an artist is outstanding. We think it shows that the power of a song and a creative album still moves people and enhances their lives.”

The excitement about The Generous Mr. Lovewell began with great reviews from USA Today, Billboard, Christianity Todayand more, and then ignited a massive twitter groundswell as artists such as Chris Daughtry, The Jonas Brothers, Mandisa, TobyMac, Jeremy Camp, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman and more tweeted their support for MercyMe and The Generous Mr. Lovewell. In addition, fans all across the country have been sharing their stories of seeing Mr. Lovewell in action as they experience and watch good deeds take place all across the world.

“We have just been blown away by all the support from everyone for this album,” commented lead vocalist Bart Millard. “But more than that, it’s incredibly humbling to see the “love well” idea take flight – there are so many people out there living for Christ and truly living His love in the lives of others. I am in awe and incredibly thankful for the opportunity to witness it all!”

Named Billboard magazine’s “Christian Song Artist of the Decade,” MercyMe has been putting their message from The Generous Mr. Lovewell into action themselves over the past few weeks. Partnering with radio stations nationwide, they have made stops at Rescue Missions, serving food, washing dishes, and more, while also making personal visits to music fans, giving them intimate acoustic performances, fellowship and financial contributions to those in need. What is becoming known as the “Lovewell phenomenon” will continue on throughout the year as the band moves forward in their efforts and tours the country.

Hey everybody! We sold over 87,000 albums the first week, and debuted at #3 on billboard! All because of you the fans! We cannot say thank you enough!

This past week we sat speechless as people rallied around “Mr. Lovewell!” While we had a blast trying to reach #1, seeing people actually making a difference by “loving others well” is what truly caught us off guard. What we hoped would take place during the next several months, actually started taking place in a week! In the past few days, we have literally heard hundreds and hundreds of stories of people living out the gospel by loving others well.

Why were we motivated to go for the #1 spot on the charts? Because it gives Mr. Lovewell legs! All of a sudden mainstream media starts asking what ‘Lovewell’ is all about, and just like that, we have an open door to point to Christ in a big way! The good news is, because of you, we have still succeeded! Hitting the top 5 on billboard is huge! There are much bigger mainstream labels that are scratching their heads wondering how a “Christian” album pulled this off? Heads have been turned and God will get His glory! Like missionaries being sent to a foreign country, please continue to pray for us and other artists that are trying to have a voice in a very “foreign” industry.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and keep “loving well”
