I’ve been inspired by Eve’s recent barrage of questions. :p We’re still pretty early into our journey, but if you have any burning questions, leave them in the comments and I’ll answer ONE every update! Story, characters, process, or whatever other comic-related things you’re curious about. Questions help me pinpoint trouble spots actually, so I welcome them with open tentacles!

And since we’ve already got some questions, might as well start the game now. About the hearing aid: no, things like that generally aren’t mass-produced. Some provinces in Rojardin are more modern than others, but devices like Abbie’s hearing aid are rather unique and can only be made by specialists. So yes, someone made the hearing aid just for her. Maybe their paths will cross again and you’ll get to meet him!

The mystery of the floating arm has been solved! WOOOO! Welp, that’s the end of the story! Wow, this has been a blast. I want to thank you guys for reading, I couldn’t have made it this far without–huh?

So. That’s an interesting way to wake up.

Well poo on a stick. I got so excited about uploading the last update that I didn’t even realize I’d forgotten a bit of dialogue. It’s not a big deal, you’re not missing much, but I went back and added it anyway cuz it kinda needs to be there.

I’m lame. I make mistakes sometimes. But that’s the benefit of the innernets over print. If I see an error, I can fix it right quick.

Sorry for that interruption Abbie. You can go back to angsting now.

HOW OMINOUS.

Okay guys, I’m totally going to try doing this TWC voting incentive thing! This week at work I’ve got an assignment that involves a lot of action, so I’ve been referencing some great animated fight scenes on YouTube. It just makes me want to work on fight scenes for MFK! I took a crack at it after work. Just vote for me at Top Web Comics to see one of the sketches I came up with~.

And it’s back to the story. Yayyyyy woooo!

Oh btw, I decided to clean up the front page a bit and moved the blog entries to their own page. You can still access them through the menu.

I really ought to get to updating the other sections of the website with goodies, and also start doing some voting incentives for Top Webcomics (though if you want to vote for me anyway, I won’t complain~)! It looks like I’ll be getting a bit of free time in the near near future because my job ends this Thursday. :[ Unemployment kinda sucks… but I genuinely look forward to having time for other things! I’ll do my best to make the most of it.

Just one inked page for tonight… which is probably fitting, since the next update will be business as usual. Like the “penciling” stage, inking is done digitally in Photoshop. Ironically, I use a brush that simulates pencil strokes for MFK’s inks. I prefer the softer, textured look to solid hard brush.

I take it into Manga Studio next for panel borders and lettering, if there is any. This particular page has none, so it’s all about laying out the panels the way I want them.

Then it’s back to Photoshop. Move the art around a bit, and we’re ready to start coloring.

There are some lines intersecting. I draw and paint everything on layers for ease and my own sanity.
