It’s that time of the year again when we like to be in the sun, but also be able to cool off in the comfort of our own homes. Unfortunately along with that cooling comfort comes higher utility bills. Most homeowners will just flip a switch and turn on the air conditioner without considering whether or not their ac unit is running as efficiently as possible. Although the EWKC program started slow last October, to date we have completed close to 100 projects . What does it take to get to the 15% energy savings required to qualify? This is still not an easy answer because no two houses are the same, and they all use energy differently. The assessment is the first step, and in most cases a customer can reassign the rebates and get several thousand dollars worth of work for just a few hundred out of pocket! This opportunity wont last long so my best advice is to act today.
