It's a nice hill with a view of the city and the whole Alps mountains (it's good to go by bicycle) but underground it's made of wreckage from the Second World War... it's artificial.

I've read somewhere that the "Oasi delle farfalle" has opened again (Butterflies oasis museum, inside Montanelli park-Giardini Pubblici, with the amazing Villa Reale, close to AC Milan headquarters, people used to get married @ Palazzo Dugnani). Not really a great museum but butterflies even alight on you. You know, butterflies live only for a few days and for them it's not important to stay inside there or "open air": butterflies exist just to "make love", lol

27 years after John Paul II in Milan, arriving @ Linate airport, he will stay 3 days (1 -> 3 June), going @ Duomo cathedral square, @ Scala theatre, @ San Siro stadium, in Bresso, etc.

The families in Milan will host people from other countries. This is typical of people from Milan, we are kind people. Historically, Milan is a city hosting people from other places.

Millions of people are expected to join the venues.

MONZA - Last weekend was the shittiest one ever... AC Milan throwing away the league by themselves (but again, strange referee decisions against us) and McLaren losing by themselves as in a traffic jam... in hindsight, it would have been better to erase that crazy Bahrain race.
Former Milan and England Capello was @ the San Siro... rumours say he's gonna be (again) the new AC manager (or Marco Van Basten).
Before the Spain GP there's the Mugello test session in Italy (1-3 of May), the only one during the F1 year.
But today (23 April) was Saint George's day (Milan day :) ...and on 25: Saint Mark day ;), that is: Manchester City first name) and had a good news: soon we're going to test cars on the legendary Monza circuit again (as we did in the 90's... it's Oasis back :). This time: the English Jaguar! (it's years I wanted to do this). It's where the Red Bull comes from (they still have headquarters in Milton Keynes, so the Red Bull is not really an Austrian car). Also, Jaguar is one of Man City's sponsors and also the car for Oasis fans, that is, Button and Hamilton (you remember, Step Out, Going Nowhere, the commercials with the Shock of the Lightning), let me know if you wanna come. Noel Gallagher can't do this, 'cause he's got no driving license, he's not 18 years old yet. Reminds me of my first girlfriend, the blonde on a Jaguar, "...she looked just like a star in a Jaguar, she needs to lighten her load... She was dressed up in leopard skin" (Liam, lol)

I'm gonna get me a motor car, maybe a Jaguar, maybe a plane or a day of fame...

For the 3rd year, the San Siro stadium (also, where Oasis should play someday, if Noel Gallagher has some balls) is hosting the "Notte bianca" (white night), on 18 May (18 maggio).
Not only to visit the legendary "Scala del calcio" football theatre, it's also possible to shoot a penalty. As goalkeepers: young players of AC Milan and Inter, plus some famous players.
There will be thousands of people, in fact it's possible to go from 6:30 pm until 6 am (!), but it will probably end before.
The price for the public is € 15.
Inside the stadium there's also a museum. The people visiting come from all over the world, especially Holland (20%), probably for the legend of Marco Van Basten (rumours say he will be the next AC Milan manager - or Capello), then Great Britain (11%), Brazil and China (10%), etc. many from Japan too, of course.

Scooters from Milan are the famous Lambretta (name from Milan river Lambro), both Liam and Noel Gallagher have one.
It's amazing how people idolise people they don't know...

... excuse me? models godlike creatures?! they're total idiots without a brain who are lost when they don't use drugs. That's why they always have a map (lol).

Again, I see the people around the world are desperate (that's why girls come to visit me, lol - ironic).
To come to live in Milan you must bring a suitcase full of money, or have someone hosting you. There are jobs, but they can hardly make you live.
They don't know yet that, as a song by the band Bluvertigo from Monza, "life in Milan is selective, VERY selective"... as I call it: it's a "niche life"... I wrote about it time ago... you go to meet a celebrity, etc. it's a very different life, also some negative things, and even more expensive than in New York and London.

For some girls who came to visit me, it took time to understand the kind of life here... and they "didn't make it". I mean they wanted to stay but were too superficial, provincial, and came back to live, unhappy, in some lost place forgotten by God... I don't mean that here you can be surely happy (more often: the opposite), but you must be prepared... as that post of mine some time ago: Milan, heaven and hell... (Oasis' Lyla: heaven-hell, my mademoiselle...)

Then, if you live in Milan, for the other people in Italy you become "one from Milan"... that can be extremely positive or negative,according to the intelligence of the people saying that... Saying that about a girl, it means that you're an "impossible girl", so it's useless to try to flirt or whatever, as we say, she'll "never give it to you", lol.

As I'm not a girl :) (and not a gay who wants to marry Noel Gallagher), when people know that I'm from Milan, usually they have a great respect for me.

It's a "very English" city (also, same English flag), for many reasons (and in fact one of the biggest communities here is that of English people), and people from other parts of Italy are jealous... as Noel Gallagher said: "everybody hates the English"...

About the city and the people in general, they always picture Milan as a "gray city", with "gay people", saying that we "only have the fog" (thanks, very English that one too), that is totally false, as there's everything. As I was born in the historic centre and always lived there for decades, I can also say that it's almost always sunny.
The people who are not from Milan are usually very interested in Milan fashion and also nightlife, I used to be interested in that, now I have different interests.
Usually the rivalry is with people from Rome, but of course you can find many people from Rome who totally love Milan, and people from Milan who love Rome, in fact it can be considered a very nice city that one too.

This pic (after threesome, then I had a fifteensome, now a twentyfoursome for me...that'll do) is for my birthday (Pretty Green birthday), as every year, the green Miss Padania-Milano (Northern Soul beauty competition, their flag is a Christian English flag = Milano flag). There are always English Lotus green cars, you remember. In one of the most elegant Milan theatres, where the mods leader of Quadrophenia, Sting, goes - you know he makes wine and food in Italy, as my father. I told him (I was wearing a green parka ;) next time to come to the Football English pub in front of where we met, 'cause there are special things about his Newcastle.

There's not only fashion but also: dancing, singing, etc. the winner wears the typical crown (of Lucia) from the biggest Italian love story, from Milan zone (I promessi sposi - the betrothed), with happy ending (unlike Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet in Verona).
Not only the Beady Eye's beat, also the gnocca goes on (lol)

I said "goes on" 'cause in these days there has been a scandal (with money, not girls, this time, lol) for this political party (but every party had its scandals), that is very popular in the north (they also wanted the independence from the rest of Italy), and is linked to Berlusconi. Their idol is Braveheart William Wallace from Scotland. Noel's Scottish wife Sara would love it... (also because it's WilLIAM... enough said about that...)
Just like in England: a lot of regionalism... Noel would say: "everybody hates the English".

Some say it's a racist political party, but it isn't really, at least not towards black people, in fact there are black people working for them, also a friend from university, she became a mayor in a town, for that party.

They have a strong sense of traditions, and always said that Rome (where is the government) steals money, which is true. If there wasn't the North, Italy would be a 3rd world country, not a case that it's close to Africa... (well, not the north). They don't recognise the Italian flag and even changed the anthem: the famous "Va pensiero, sull'ali dorate" (Go, thought, on golden wings) by Verdi, also because the Italian hymn says that "Italy is slave of Roma".
I just told to Liam Gallagher: tomorrow I'm gonna wear the Pretty Green jacket you told me "nice jacket" in Milan, happy Easter LeGend :D

competition: win Monza

MONZA - Here's a competition as in the past years, to win Monza from Thursday 6 September: meeting all the Formula 1 drivers, shooting photos, on 7 September going around the big park of the circuit, sunbathing :), etc. oh and watching the cars too, lol.
During that Formula One weekend there's also the "Formula 1 rocks Milan" with a concert (speedy Beady Eye would be perfect), probably also the usual F1 night @ Hollywood Milano, where Liam Gallagher was (or Just Cavalli Hollywood, where Liam was) and the McLaren shop to visit as usual. Too cool places for Noel Gallagher, in fact he's never been there.
I already have an Australian model (dedicated to Noel Gallagher hating them) and a Czech model coming ;), but it's ok to have 3rd girl ;) (plus probably my sister working again @ Monza).
Last year we asked near which famous "Oasis place" Lewis Hamilton was born (Stevenage - Knebworth).
Two years ago we asked which Oasis song was covered by the McLaren drivers (Wonderwall).

Updates from Italy... on 13 July, Paolo Nutini (see previous post) will be @ Villa Arconati festival (Castellazzo di Bollate) near Milano, www.villarconati.it ...just like his Candy video: a place for getting married ;). No, not me... I quit with that (lol...I prefer to be free ;).
Also confirmed for the Pistoia Blues festival, back to his beautiful Toscana near Florence. Places of my "threesomes" lol with "them English girls"... one called Noel Gallagher said "everybody hates them", so someone had to love them :P

Mission: impossible, 2 days to the Big Match, the best club in history VS the best club today (18 vs 17 international trophies). Two games as these in 6 days is great football.

how to score to Barcelona

AC Milan scored 4 goals in 2 games vs Barcelona recently, that is one of the best teams in football history (we're gonna realise it when we'll be old) with Messi one of the best players in football history, despite this Milan is not one of the best Milan in history.
If this Barcelona is in a good night, they could score a 5-0 vs anyone. They will try everything to win the Champions League, 'cause they probably won't win their national league.

Messi scored his FIRST goal against an Italian team only last November... (only on a strange penalty conceded, that he even had to repeat) and he had to get a red card for a bad foul, 'cause he had already had a yellow one. He was very nervous...
Barcelona played better (but Milan on similar levels) but they had a result thanks to that penalty and an own goal by Milan.
Of course he's a great player, but if he played in Italy, without a team playing for him, he would score less goals and should be careful with injuries, as defences are better.
Unfortunately, we have the first game at home (San Siro), which is a big advantage for Barcelona, playing @ their Camp Nou the final one.
Guardiola, before the draw, said he wanted to avoid Milan, so they're not happy with this...

UPDATE: AC Milan didn't concede Milanello to Barcelona for a training on 29, but said they could help them to find a pitch in Milan.

Very bad news: the Messi of defences, Thiago Silva, injured, out for one month (and no Van Bommel too, no Abate, etc. and of course no Cassano after the heart operation... but the other day he started to play with the ball again, and could play Euro 2012 for Italy)

On 29 March there's a strike in Spain, and Barcelona will have their training in the (super training centre) Milanello, lol how strange.

1 September: Franz Ferdinand (very funny, dancing as in a disco), 2: Sigur Ros. There will be the Killers (they could be also @ Milano Arena Music 2012, new name for the Milano Jazzin' Festival... the city of Milan is not giving money for this event...how strange with the new communist mayor eh... Noel Gallagher would say: "him fucking communist", lol).
The "Perfect Day festival" is @ Castello Scaligero castle in Villafranca near Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet city Verona (15 September: Morricone). Paolo will be there but on 20 July.
Villafranca is the place where Intimissimi comes from.
November: Florence+the Machine. She comes to Milan again, at her last gig there were people shouting "ti amo Firenze" lol (translating her name in Italian) and it was a gig with Paolo so someone wrote "Paolo+the Machine" and she was laughing while singing, lol.

England is the 1st country on the list of those with a biggest difference between (a few) rich people and (many) poor ones... the country famously burnt by rioters (as Noel said: "fucking idiots").
Of course they always name Berlusconi when they want to say something they got from tabloids.
Wondering why there's always England involved, when there's something about racism... But they even said Italians are racists (they must have confused us with some Juventus fan insulting Balotelli), which is hilarious, being a deeply anti-racist and friendly country.
Next time they should keep their racism for themselves...

The food is mega: pizza and spaghetti bolognese, which is out of this world. The Black Cat (ll Gatto Nero) has great views overlooking the lake."

When she was dancing in the discos here, everybody was very interested in looking at her (girls included, lol), she was something never seen, the way she moved. When I went to Poland, 18 hours driving (it was worth, lol), in Austria we had to pay a fine for speeding (different gear, still speeding :), probably it will happen the same if police catch us making love open air in Fucking, Austria ahaha. She was quite a "moaning bitch"...Noel, you know what I mean...

Also for Napoli-Chelsea 3-1 tonight they could score 7 goals as AC Milan, as the English say: very boring Italian football eh... Appropriate video: ex Chelsea's - into Pretty Green Joe Cole was her ex boyfriend (before losing himself in provincial france), the one who should've joined "Milan fashion giants"... This is Oasis biggest fan... in every sense :). Keeley Hazell. I'm always honest: it's not me the biggest one :). She's obsessed with Oasis and Britpop. I remember there were even Facebook groups to establish who was the biggest one, they didn't even know. She was also a "pitbabe" as my sister, for Jenson Button (when was @ BAR Honda, British American Racing).
She's a very intelligent girl ;) (this one: no wishlist on Amazon, lol). Before the game I received loads of jealous racist insults (really pointless insults, 'cause I showed them how they are inferior in every single thing), and even Arsenal hooligans messing in Milan. Shows how pathetic their team is. I like Man City, and a bit also Liverpool and Chelsea, but cheating Manchester United and Arsenal are a total scum. I dislike them even more than United. Dictionary, arse-ass: Assenal.

a mix between English and Italian tongues, where mistakes are allowed and we blame it on alcohol (lol).
You know, true perfection has to be imperfect! I know that that sounds foolish but it's true!
Italians have resided in Britain since the times of Roman Emperor Claudius' invasion in AD 43. In Italy, a city as Milan (same flag of England, Saint George's, and best football club in history founded by a group of English and Italians) has 7,000 British inhabitants. There are many Britalians who have made a huge contribution to society. This was my childhood shock (especially her dress going down @ Italian Sanremo festival 1987 when she was 19: Will you remember (Wil)Liam :) - from 1:15 her dress falls (same leopard dress from Liam), flashing a nipple. The shock of the flashing, lol (of the lightning - Oasis). A scandal for those times, especially in Italy. I do remember. They talked about this for days, weeks, months, years. I'm still talking about it, it's history :)

She's American but her surname clearly sounds Swedish... as in Sweet Life, Anita Ekberg was Swedish but played the role of an American actress:

here are the origins about the "myth of the Swedish girl" we Italians have. The cult-movie by Federico Fellini, La Dolce Vita (1960), featuring the legendary Marcello Mastroianni (quite nervous character in this film), Anita here called Sylvia. This film was so popular that still after 50 years today we still think about it everytime a foreign girl comes visiting Italy on holidays, so you have to treat her as a Princess. In the film there were also the "paparazzi" photographers, for the first time using that word (from the name of a character, Paparazzo).

But that situation is not always positive, in fact there are many Swedish (and not only Swedish... usually it's Northern Europe, 'cause they're clearly not Latins) who have stereotypes about Italians, and they think we are all "latin lovers" (they probably don't know that it's usually an expression about South Italy), so we are 'dangerous' for the girls, 'cause we want to have sex with them. Well, I think it's not only the Italians, lol. So there are girls who are scared to come, and don't come, because of stereotypes, commonplaces. I talked to a Polish girl who was saying a series of bad things about here, and at the end she admitted that she has not even been to Italy in all her life. As I was saying a 1000 times (some countries can't understand it), Italy is very different from zone to zone... it's even more than only one country, there's a strong regionalism (similar to England). People, dialects, etc. can change even from town to town. About girls, it's not so common to see men whistling at girls in Milan, while for example in Sicily this MUST be done, LOL. Nothing so bad... There was a Swedish girl called as me :), Anna Nelson (but me not Anna, lol), as Nelson is a Swedish name (they taught me their surnames end in "-son" to mean they are the "son of.." someone), she went on holidays to the South of Italy and remained shocked by the 'experience'. But there's also the contrary: some girls come, BECAUSE they want sex, lol.
The film was a scandal for those times, of course today it's not a scandal, there was just this scene of the Trevi fountain, a party in a villa, etc. nothing really outrageous today.

Beckham: Milan in my heart, miss you much

LONDON - One would expect David Beckham saying "Manchester United is always in my heart" (or Real Madrid), having played there for many years. But Beckham "forgot" them and named Milan when asked about his career, even though he could play for the Italian champions for a few months only. He said it's something he always keeps inside himself.
The "Spice boy", Oasis fan (attending the Gallaghers last gig in Milan), back to London for the launch of his line "David Beckham Bodywear for H&M" (underwear), recently refused his transfer to Paris (Saint Germain), plus other rumours about him joining English clubs, and stays in Los Angeles for the family, to play with LA Galaxy.
For the Champions League's Milan-Arsenal, he predicted AC Milan to win.

For his statue @ Madame Tussauds museum in London, he's wearing an AC Milan shirt.

Monza 2012 tickets and advices

You can already get tickets for Monza GP 2012 (6->9 September), click here - until 31 January you save money. Usually, people prefer to already own a ticket, of course, but there are also some ways to have a ticket paying before and getting it the day you arrive there. Formula 1 is a very expensive sport, but it's worth.
If you're coming from far, of course you want to stay the whole weekend, but for people who live closer, even if they are big fans, 3-4 days of Formula One could be very tiring (because of the sun, walking, etc.), so for them it's better just 1 or 2.

For some things you should spend more, for other things you should spend less. Here are my advices from our experiences.

TRAVELLING TO ITALY

if you're coming from abroad, foreign countries, you probably have to take a plane, that is not expensive, especially if you book some time before, at least one month. There are 3 main airports around Milan: Malpensa (quite far but there's a nice train arriving to Milan's Cadorna station), Linate (closer, the bus number 73 takes you to the centre) and Orio al Serio (very far, you'll have to take a train).

So when you're here you probably don't have a car (unless you rent one), but it's better to go around without a car, as traffic is a problem and it also would be difficult for you without knowing the places. And, you would have to spend a lot of money for fuel and car parkings for whole days. It's also more adventurous to go around and meet people.

STAYING

cheap hotels, hostels, campings, are not very popular in Milan, you could find them but they could be far and not very nice (you know, Milan is quite an expensive city), I remember also some English girls told me about them. Well, if you like camping, I remember a Hungarian girl choosing it, there's one "inside" the circuit (it is so inside that last year we laughed because when we were going to the circuit I went inside the camping and a girl working there tried to stop me, and I said: no autographs, please, lol. I was sure it wasn't a camping so I could go inside :).

But I think it's better if you spend just a little bit more for this and stay in a normal hotel, so you can also easily visit Milano. Usually, people say to avoid hotels around Stazione Centrale (the main station), 'cause it's a bit dangerous.
I know some people prefer to stay in a hotel outside the city, I think it's a bad choice, you could get lost. Not even the people here know so well all the places.
Ferrari crew stay in one of the most central hotels, just right under the Duomo cathedral (there's also their shop near there) and of course it's very expensive. But drivers usually sleep inside the circuit in their rooms. Jenson Button and Jessica Michibata usually stay @ a luxury hotel by Como lake (not very far from the circuit), same hotel where former Oasis Liam Gallagher-speeding Beady Eye often come. I know some people stay @ same hotels of celebrities to be sure to meet them, but it's a risk, you could spend a lot of money in vain. And I tell you, there's nothing to go crazy for famous people.

If you're an attractive girl, there's no problem for anything, and you can stay by us, lol.

My sister sometimes has a job on the circuit on the grid as "umbrella girl", now she's more a chief for the girls working.

MILAN -> MONZA
(distance: about 15 kms, =10 miles, but the total is about 20 kilometres to the circuit)

when you're in Milan and you have to go to the circuit, the best way is:

a taxi, but it could cost too much, and you wouldn't meet other fans="tifosi", as Schumacher says.

If you don't want to take a taxi, first take a train (about 2 €uros or so, usually towards direction Chiasso) from Garibaldi station (green line metro stop), not from Stazione Centrale station, because there are less trains to go to Monza.

In a few minutes you arrive in Monza, the city (but it doesn't mean that you're already on the circuit, not yet).

Here, outside Monza station, you can walk a tunnel to go out on the right of the station, there's a free bus (called "linea nera", black line), from 7:30 am, from Friday to Sunday of the Formula 1 weekend (there isn't on Thursday, if you have to go there to meet the drivers for the "walk about"). But my advice is to avoid this bus, because it's good that you don't have to pay and you'll be with a lot of fans, but the traffic is the same and then you realise why it's free: sometimes a long time to wait and it leaves you inside the big park of Monza and you'll have to walk a VERY long road to arrive to the circuit, it will take a lot of time. The same when you have to go away (and you'll also ask yourself: where the fuck is the bus station? :)

So (flashback :), when you are at Monza station, it's better to take bus tickets (a few €uros) at the tobacconist's and go outside on the left, there's a small garden, a few stairs and a road above ("corso Milano" street). I can see it could be a little complicated at this point, we can go together :), but many people ask me so I have to choose :). When you get this bus (number 221), there could be the same traffic (really annoying, especially when you come back), but it will leave you to a comfortable place, Biassono, near one of the circuit entrances (you will see a landmark with the circuit shape in a little square, there's also a small wall to photograph, with photos and signatures of past and present drivers).
When you have to come back, step off the bus when you see a McDonald's in "corso Milano" street, that is near Monza station.

On Sunday ONLY, there's also a free train from Milan, Stazione Centrale, that even arrives to the circuit (so, no buses at all), but then you realise why it's free: again, the little problem is that it leaves you at Lesmo entrance so you will have to walk a lot, depending on where you're staying in the circuit. Anyway, this train could be good to go there, but my advice is that you avoid it when you have to come back on Sunday afternoon, because there are literally thousands of people trying to use these free trains and you'll have to spend a lot of time in a huge crowd, you could go mad, also because tired from the long weekend.

FOOD

prices are a bit high inside the circuit, you know, because they also have to pay Ecclestone :) and the quality is a bit "standard", let's say, classic hot dogs, "salamella" sausage and similar stuff. Also, you'll have to deal with long queues of big-belly hungry Germans, lol.

If you want to eat better things and spend less, my trick, when you're on the "final" bus just before arriving to that little square of the autographs wall, is to step off the bus (Vedano stop, you can also ask the driver) and go to this little town called Vedano al Lambro (the Milano river giving the name to Lambretta), there's a nice "rosticceria" to buy food, and then you're still close to a circuit entrance.
To always have very cold water the whole day, you should put a bottle in the freezer the night before, so it's frozen and it melts slowly during the day.

Remember also to bring a suntan lotion cream, 'cause even if it's September, usually it's still really hot and last year we got tanned more in 4 days than in 2 months of holidays.
Also, avoid those foreign people playing with boxes or cards inside the circuit: they try to get money from you but they're actors (whole families) and when the police comes, they run away.
