Here's Michael Jackson bio map which I created which shows important stages in Michael Jackson's life and also has couple of YouTube videos.

The map automatically animates, in chronological order, through the map markers. You can however pause the auto play feature by clicking on "Pause Auto Play" or just by clicking on forward, back arrows.

Ford's Fiesta Movement Mapped (#fiestamovement)

Some time back Ford recruited 100 "Agents" to test drive their Ford Fiesta (to be launched in 2010/2011). These agents will spend 6 months behind the wheel of their own Fiesta, lifestreaming their experiences on Twitter/YouTube.

RIP Rajeev Motwani - His Journey!

Rajeev Motwani a professor of Computer Science at Stanford University, was a brilliant young man who died in a accident at his home in Atherton, California on June 5th. From Wikipedia:

Motwani was one of the co-authors (with Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and Terry Winograd) of an influential early paper on the PageRank algorithm, the basis for Google's search techniques

So where did Rajeev come from? Here's a Google Maps Journey of Rajeev Motwani which includes a video tribute at the end.

Google Mapping Chrysler Dealers who got dumped in Michigan

Chrysler announced that it was going to dump approximately 789 dealers around the country. Since I am from Michigan, I decided to look at dealers in Michigan who got the bad news. The affected dealers in Michigan are shown above in Google Maps.

Kids are home today - Schools closed because of Swine Flu Scare

Plymouth Canton Schools in Michigan, the district I live in is closed today and tomorrow because of suspected Swine Flu case. Its the 3rd largest school district in Michigan with approximately 19,000 students. There are other schools which are closed here in the Metro Detroit area also. (source Detroit Free Press)

Last week I created a Google Map+Twitter Swine Flu Map which showed tweets from various regions in United States and Europe.

Now that this thing has hit very close to home, I decided to look at tweets related to Swine Flu in the state of Michigan. With Lansing, Michigan as base I searched for Tweets within 175 miles radius from Lansing, Michigan. Check out the Swine Flu related tweets in Michigan in this Google Maps Mashup.

This is simply amazing!. Check this video out which shows a car being locked, unlocked, engines turned on, engines turned off from anywhere in the world from your iPod touch or iPhone. The car has 3G internet connection and the iPod touch is connected to the internet via Wi-fi. The iPod touch has a Google Maps Mashup application which pulls data from the car's GPS and shows the car's current location.

Check out my NCAA Mens' Basketball Championship History - Google Maps Mashup which I had created couple of years ago. It shows locations of championship teams, the runners-up, championship venues from 1939 to 2008. You can sort the data by Scores, Miles traveled by winners and losers.
