Burlington, Vermont always does a great job with Mardi Gras, below are a few photographs that I snapped while watching from the 2012 parade from Main Street.

I have a set of macro extension tubes, a tripod and of course, a camera. It was only a matter of time before I took my new found love for HDR photography and applied the macro view to see what I could create. Below are some of the first shots.

All of these photographs were shot outside my house, in the yard on a tripod. Each image consists of three separate shots that were merged later using the Photomatix HDR plugin for Aperture.

This church is located in Underhill, Vermont. The images above were started with HDR compositions and finished off by blending in an overlay to add the textured look.

Not much snow in Vermont yet this year but the cold weather and Lake Champlain have produced plenty of ice lake side. This HDR photograph was shot at Oakledge Park in Burlington, Vermont.

The image you see is yet another HDR composition, and as you can tell, I am fully hooked on HDR.

The Spirit Of Ethan Allen III is a cruise ship that operates during the spring, summer, and fall on Lake Champlain in Burlington, Vermont.

This photograph uses a technique called HDR Photography and is made up of three separate images.
