Although he was very rough with his children and yes abused then. But if it wasn't for him, there'd be no Michael Jackson. Yes MJ did share horrid memories growing up, but he didn't always resent this patriarch. In fact, in various interviews and in the autobiography Moonwalk, the Gloved One praises Joe for getting him into the spotlight. From their humble beginnings in Gary, Indiana to striking it rich with Motown in California.

Hey guys,

I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Been caught up in many things in such. Maybe in the next few days I'll go over the new Michael Jackson songs that have been leaked from the vault back in Dec. 2015. Til then...

    Cha cha!!
The digital single comes with a post humous music video loosely based on the track.

This release comes after speculation that The Estate is working on Xscape 2.0. A second installment to the first project(think Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience). reports say feature 4(or more) new songs with another single by November.

If I were them, I'd use Jackson's unreleased Christmas song as the feature tune! That's one thing missing from Michael post-Thriller. During the History Era, Mr Jackson worked on an original Christmas track complete with bells, sleighs, and other seasonal effects. It's anyone's guess why it was scaped.

Music Video

I was not at all impressed by the sexual overtones throughout the clip as I was expecting more of a rated G/PG flic on a utopian oasis with laughing children and care-free pleasure. Instead, it appears her skin is utopia! Otherwise, I felt the production was fairly good. Click Here to check it out!
Although I felt the performance was otherwise spectacular, I believe there's some merit to the madness.

First of, his dance moves seem a bit clumsy and slow. Secondly, if you look real close, his mouth moves sloppily. Almost as if their motion-picture(CGI) wasn't synced properly. Thirdly(though I don't think this could be helped), Michael did not seem to connect with his audience as he normally does.

Personally, the original version would have done much better on the show. Either that or the original Xscape. Anyhow this dilemma is nowhere near the noise of the Casio fiasko! In honor of the 5th anniversary to Jackson's death, I implore you to keep Michaeling!
If you missed it, I've already reviewed the first four tacks <a 1="" href="http://www.michaeljacksonbeat.blogspot.com/2014/05/xscape-critical-analysis.html" part="" scape="" target="_blank" title="">Over Here. We shall continue with track five.

Slave To The Rhythm

Early 90's Version
Now this is quite unique and calls for a whole new explanation! Michael clashes theatrics with the club. A tapestric introduction followed by the dancefloor! "Slave To The Rhythm" will harken you back to the turn of the 90's. When inline skating was a way to pick up a date. Had Jackson released this, the dance industry would have been saved from mundanity. If only he remixed his own tracks(like Janet did on one album). Instead he relied on third-party candidates to do the job(mainly after Bad). There's even a story to go along with the beat(unlike most club-bangers today).

The songs portrays a passive-dependant mother who is practically enslave to her abusive husband. How she yearns to be released from his heavy chains. But for the good of her beloved children she dances to his whims and keeps instep to the rhythm of her hubby's demands. Thus, she's a slave in every sense of the word. Although she might not be literally shackled, this woman is mentally and emotionally bonded with her husbands iron cords of coercion and manipulation. Check it out Right Here(note: these youtube clips alone don't do justice to these tracks. You should have a good pair of headphones in hand)!

1989-91 Edition: 5/5 Stars!

Modern Version
Timbaland gives the rhythm more of a revolving dance floor vibe with a little extra emphasis on those chains!I was impressed by the amount of thought that went into this remix. But nothing beats the original. Yes the new version is more modern and today-oriented. But I'm sorry, Mikey's version rises above it head and shoulders! You Just can't out-do the raw energy of Michael's vision. The guy knew what he was doing. Go see Timbaland's Take and you'll know what I mean.

New Take: 4.0 Stars!

Do You Know Where Your Children Are

90's Version
Now this version goes before the 2010 Leak. As with most of his early demos, it is noticeably digitalized. Whereas the latter mix incorporates more live instrumentation. I prefer the finalized edition. Don't get me wrong. The former is also quite enjoyable. But the guitar lick from the other mix just blows me away!

Two drop-dead gorgeous 12-year-old girls face a broken family with an abusive uncle and an abusive father. So in distraught, they ran away and attempted to go it alone. Only to become allured by a huckster who promises them fame and fortune. Turns out he was a liar and now these girls are caught within the clutches of the porn industry. Don't you think papa should be a wee bit concerned about their missing children? Even giving his lives for these poor girls fettered in sexual slavery. It would seem they did at first. But apathy soon followed suit. Mother and father's storkism has all been but extinguished. The demo can be found Here!

Old Demo: 4.5/5 Stars!

2010 Leak: 5/5 Stars!

New Version
I thought they did a fair job crafting this remix. Though it loses a lot of it's 90's punch. Why do the beams remind me of Sega Genesis all of a sudden? For the past fifteen years soundboards have been overrated and abused. We need a renaissance of real music! Complete with authentic beats and organic melody. But anyhow, I appreciate that Tim and Roc did not rush this unlike the previous Desaster. Listen to the remix Here.

New Version: 4/5 Stars!

Blue Gangsta

Invincible Mix
I see 007 written all over this with a hint of the Mafia and Godfather meddled in there. And yes, Jackson did experiment a little with Hip-Hop without being obnoxious. I relish the Italian accordion fuming in the background. But what I like most is Michael's very powerful strung-out emotions portraying a mobster who's conscience is about to go numb.

This fellow feels immense regret and deep despair. A beautiful girl beckons him turn from the dark side. Yet he has just sworn himself into a high profile gang and has already proved himself by executing an atrocious federal crime. Although the guilt churns sourly within his stomach. He must suppress the pain because there's no turning back now. But try as he might, a feeling of doom continuously envelopes the man. Her glance pierces the very soul of his being. He has no choice but to carry on as "The Blue Gangsta". Check out Michael's version Over Here!

Original Version: 5/5 Stars!

New Version
They did an outstanding job on the theatrical introduction. Something Michael was very much into. Though once the track kicks in, the beat is too synthetic. But they did add some Latin strings to give it a Mexican tinge. Click Now to try it out!

Xscape

Michael's Take
Now this is what I'm talking about! "Xscape" has a powerful backbeat that has become one of Jackson's many signature street rhythms-those sharp timing thuds that defined The History Era. The best part is the bridge in it's highly melodic cue. I bet MJ and Darkchild had a field day with this in the studio.

The black media has Michael Jackson bound within the confines of yellow journalism. like watchdogs, the Paparazzi make sure they keep him locked up in his cage. Then one day his cell was found empty. Consequentially, the tabloid industry in conjunction with mainstream outlets make an unholy alliance to capture and bring him back behind the bars of sensationalism. Where everyone can break off a piece of the Jackson pie. His death wish is almost prophetic. Go Here and do your ears a favor!

Michael's Version: 6/5 Stars!!!

Timbo Style
Nothing can outdo the original. And Darkchild's new remix is no exception. Yet they do a good job contemporizing this tune into a Detroit experience-giving it a metropolitan feel. Love it or hate it, Click Here and find out how this compares to the original.

New Version: 4/5 Stars!

In Conclusion
I am quite satisfied with this record! There might be a few issues that need tweaking here or there. But overall, this project is a vast improvement compared to the Casio bomb. Which turned fan against fan, and fan against estate. I give this album a 4.5 out of 5 stars! Good job guys!

Xscape Album 4.5/5 Stars!

And let me tell you. I am thoroughly astonished! Yes, the contemporized mixed are a bit overproduced. But when compared against Michael, The Estake has come along way in amending their shabby reputation.

You will not find any hint of autotune, melodyne, nor any fake vocals on this record. You won't even find bells and whistles artificially stabled together into a jumbled mess! What you Will receive is an album full of Jackson's mind-crafted art. Ingeniously lared into 8 mind-blowing tracks that never made the cut(not because their bland). Plus 9 contemporary interpretations from the likes of Justin Timberlake(from NSYNC), Timbaland(Beyonce), Stargate(who worked with Lionel Richie), John McClain, J Roc, and Rodney Jerkins. At first you might feel it a bit bland or overproduced. But guys, just give it a few listens with your earphones and you'll see why I'm impressed. However, the originals will never be beat!

The Making of Escape
I wasn't all that impressed with the documentary. I was hoping for a step-by-stem analysis on Mr. Jackson's material by Matt Forger, Robbie, and many others who actually helped in making these 8 demos(Now to be fair, Corey Rooney was there and he did discuss his involvement in the making of "Chicago"). Instead the video was more on how they modernized his classics with state-of-the-art soundboards and synthesized beats. The DVD was too short and needed more promotion material added. Like Maybe a grassroots music video of clamation to celebrate Michael's artistry.

Love Never Felt So Good

Original Version
This is pretty much identical to the 8 year old leak(who's lyrics you can read Here). Only in better minted quality. Back in the early 80's Paul Anka and Kathy Wakefield each co-wrote this song and gave it to Mike-originally intending Anka to collaborate on piano. But since it did not conform to Michael's vision for his upcoming album "Bad". Jackson graciously handed the gem over to Mr. Mathis for his own album "A Special Part of Me"(Johnny's version can be heard Here).

If you want to hear Michael's crisp vocals untouched over a Classical piano then the original just might suit you more. This is Jackson in the prime of his life! Click Here to have a listen!

Demo: 5/5 Stars!

Updated Solo Version and Justin Timberlake's Video
John McClain(not McCain :)) has teamed up with Giorgio Tuinfort to produce a masterpiece-an actual improvement upon the demo. Adding some funky strings, a hard backbeat, and a Classical layout to the track! I firmly believe The Estate should keep these two guys in tabs as future references!

Now as for Justin Timberlake's spin, Timbaland inducts a Xylophone throughout with allusions to Don't Stop Til' You Get Enough. Without overdoing it Justin attempts to duet with the pop star "Suit and Tie" style. Even respectfully cueing Mick to chime in on his lines.

Although not another homemade fan collaboration, the music video does contain numerous stars paying tribute to MJ's legacy. Even Tia and Tamera Mowry are seen paying their respects[correction: on second thought, these twins are not from Sister Sister]! The video was alright but nothing "off the hook". For future projects, My opinion would be to veer more towards cartoons and storylines. Maybe even do something with The Muppets(hint hint). Something other than mere tributes. Well, here is the John McClain Mix. I'm not much of an Electro-Pop or Techno freak. But here's the Freddie Legrand Mix! It didn't impress me much.

New Solo Version: 5/5 Stars!

Timberlake's Edition: 4.5/5 Stars!

Freddie Legrand Remix 2/5 Stars!

Amazon.com Widgets

Chicage

Original Demo
Now this one was never completely finished until after Jackson passed away. Taj Jackson(Michael's Nephew) and Cory Rooney finished it as a candidate for his first posthumous album. To be honest, I haven't listened to the unleaked version before that. Taj Jackson's take is great but for some reason it feels ever so slightly off on the electric keys and cymbal snare. As they don't fully jive with his vocals. But as you get used to it, you will appreciate how Michael writes stories with his tongue.

The tale is about a seductress(what else is new :)) who plays the part of an innocent widow looking for the man of her dreams. Turns out she was married and those children were her husband's. Jackson caught on thin ice, passionately explained the whole ordeal to her jealous husband.

Originally, the song was called by Jackson "She Was Loving Me". The track can be found Here.

Original Take: 4.5/5 Stars!

New Take Plus Paperchaser
At first I felt the Harmon take was a bit jumbled and quirky but as I listened it eventually grew on me. They even add a few ab libs from him not found on the original. The quacking ducks weren't all that necessary(more like rubberduck :)). But they don't take anything away from the groove. Over all I feel they did a fine job tweaking his sound for a different generation! Go Here to have a listen.

New Version: 4/5 Stars!

Now as you're well aware, I'm not much into remixes and this one is no exception. I thought it was slightly too fast for my taste. But unlike other Michael Jackson remixes, Techno beats are not prominent throughout(thank goodness). I like how Papercha$er emphasises his vocals at certain times. Otherwise it's just another bland mix. But here you be the judge: Paperchaser!

Paperchaser Remix: 2.5/5 Stars!

Loving You

The Demo
The scene is from the mid 80's. Michael seems to have caught himself a little cold. On a dreary muggy night, Mr. Jackson relished the thought of giving his wife a fine-dining experience. But rather opts to spend the night under the covers as they've both come down with the flu. It's at this point they experience each other like never before.

You will adore his fresh and crisp vocals. Yes the tape is not in perfect condition. Yet that will not take away from the magic of this gem. And if one had to guess, this did not mix well with the Bad Sessions. So the song was in limbo until now. Test it out Right Here!

Original Recording: 4.5/5 Stars!

New Edition
Tim and Harmon give it a more uptempo beat with an R&B vibe written all over it! This sounds soo early 90's. Especially with the acappella outro for the finale. I can just hear the radio host chiming in right after that line. I could see Michael might've worked on it again during the Dangerous Era(of course with new vocals). But no such evidence exists as of yet.

The only quirk from me is it needs live instrumentation as mere synthesizers gives it a plastic cover. Everything else about the new take is just superb! Hear it for yourselves!

Timba Version: 4/5 Stars!

A Place With No Name

Original Mix
Derived from the tune "A Horse With No Name(listen Here) by America, Michael gives it a whole new spin with his signature ab libs and distinct drumline. The song tells a tale of an enchanted oasis. When Michael's jeep breaks down in the middle of nowhere(with a thousand suns blazing upon your back), a mysterious electrical fog beckens on the horizon. Dieing of thirst, these three men inch closer to find a highly attractive innocent woman calling on them to follow her through the mist. With little thought, Michael took her hand and was instantly transported unto a utopian landscape. Full of laughter and happiness. A place without a care in the world. Not named by any king, prince, nor prefect. Just beyond that fog.

His loved-one's had recently passed away. So you can tell how much this spring uplifts Michael's spirits. But pardon me for spoiling you with the whole storyline. I'll let you be the judge over Here!

Michael's Version: 5/5 Stars!

Stargate Edition
When I first heard the opening electric keys, my fears of another slop-fest production started surfacing. But after I purchased the CD I gave it a listen under the earphones. What can I tell you. I am ecstatic!! The electric keys and drum snare give it a melody dance beat like no other! No this is not Techno, Hip Hop, nor some bland club hit. This is Stargate in which The Estate will do good not to overlook on their next project!

I believe this should've been the lead single with an official video. I think dance floors would be demand it from coast to coast! Just imagine a claymation motion picture over a desert with MJ as a clayman acting out the scenes. Now that would be awesome! Or even something colorful like what Madonna's record label did when she was busy touring. Anyways, here's the New Take.

Stargate's Version: 5/5 Stars!

From "Beat It, to "Bad" the Gloved One was on the streets. Weather it be "Moonwalker" to "You Rock My World", he battled the Mafia(with Joe Peshie) and confronted The Godfather. He even experimented with Gangsta Rap for the uptemple smash "2 Bad". "Al Capone" has joined the party!

As you can easily disern, "Al Capone" eventually evolved into what we know as Smooth Criminal. However, the inspiration actually stemmed in part from a previous outtake "Chicago 1945". Perhaps recorded during the Thriller Sessions.

As the song progressed in development, so did the storyline. Al Capone was eventually dropped in favor of Annie. Mr. Jackson brought the spirits to this ago-old club to rest by solving an ancient mystery of the murder of this innocent clubber during the roaring 20's. Thus, "Al Capone" became "Smooth Criminal"!

Lyrics to Al Capone
Why did you let him getaway, after the scary might just say
Another uptempo vintage track from Michael Jackson(mixed by Bill Bottrell and engineered by Matt Forger).

Originally Michael wanted to use this song as a theme for a Pepsi commercial but opted instead for the eponymous track "Bad". Just think if he went along with the former...

"You pay the price of fizz.....
The price of Pepsi-cola
Father never lies
Father never lies"

Imagine Michael lecturing a young girl on the pains of gulping-down too much Pepsi at once. But then going around yearning for just one more bottle of that soda-pop through interpreted dance(kind of like his split desire over Naomi Campbell for "In The Closet").

Oh the price of superstardom Michael indeed paid for! He could not go anywhere, Do anything without body-guards or a thinly-veiled disguise. As were all other major stars, Michael Jackson was a prisoner in his own home. You could indeed have it all but at the expense of Privacy and sanity. As MJ penned it...

“the girls who are over-obsessed with me, who follow me, who almost make me kill myself in my car, who just give their lives to do anything with me, to see me–they’ll do anything and it’s breaking my heart. It’s running me crazy. It’s breaking up my relationship with my girl, with my family. That’s the ‘Price of Fame’”.

Me? I would love to get nice and rich. But I'll pass on the fame.:)

Price of Fame Lyrics

I took my baby on a river boat cruise
And she was well aware
I was excited about the way that things could have been
She said that I don't care
I want a face no one can recognize, in disguise
Someone called out my name
They thought of taking pictures, autographs, then they grab
My joy had turned to pain

Father always told me,
You won't live a quiet life
If you're reaching for fortune and fame
I feel the pressure setting in, I'm living just to win
I'm done in my pain, don't you feel no pain? (No way!)

It's the price of fame, you pay the price of fame
So don't be feelin' no pain!
It's the price of fame, it's the price of fame
So don't you ever complain!

I am the cover of the magazine, what a scene
They know my every do's
“Just sign your name on the dotted line, you'll be fine.”
That always bothers me
Get in your car, you wanna take a ride, look behind
Someone is following you
You try to get away, you turn real fast, but too bad
They know your every move!

My father always told me
You won't live a quiet life
If you're reaching for fortune and fame
I feel the pressure setting in, I'm living just to win
I bleed all this pain, don't you ever complain!

It's the price of fame, you pay the price of fame
So don't you ever complain!
It's the price of fame, you pay the price for fame
So don't be feelin' no pain!

It's the price of fame, you pay the price of fame! (uh)
Father never lies
My father never lies (price of fame)
My father never lies (price of fame)
So don't be feeling this way boy!

I'd like to take sometime and get away, then they'll say,
Is that boy still alive? (uh)
The week in village...what a thrill
Only the strong survive

My father always told me,
You won't live a quiet life,
They startin' to wonderin' where have you been?
I feel their envious looks at me
Their mistaken jealousy (oh?)
Then stand here in my shoes
And then think of my blues!

It’s the price of fame!
You pay the price of fame
So don't you ever complain
It's the price of fame
You pay the price of fame
So don't be feeling this way
It's the price of fame
You pay the price of fame
So don't you ever complain
It's the price of fame
You pay the price of fame
My father never lies (price of fame)
My father never lies, baby
My father never lies (price of fame)
So don't be feeling no pain boy!
It is obviously a work in progress with Michael laughing towards the end with Rodney on keys(not Rodney Jerkins since he was still in high school then).

I don't think this would have made the cut. Yet a B-side was certainly not out of the realm of possibility. I feel that somehow the lyrics got recycled for "I Just Can't Stop Loving You".

Anyways, here's what Matt Forge has to say about this track...

"There were times when going back and listening to this stuff was really an emotional experience for me. That was especially the case when I started working on the song, 'Free.' When you listen to this song you hear Michael's spirit and joy. It's raw, it's loose, it's him in his element, doing what he loved to do. The first time I listened to it I broke down. This is what it was like every day."

Lyrics to Free

You're the one that I adore
Everyone they don't know me
Tell me things they all believe, I do
All the things I wanna say
Tell the things you are to me?
All the lies you have to say "I do"
Uh,uh,uh, baby

Yesterday is when I felt down
And you save my faith from the ground
And you say they looked at me
But all they want is to hear you say, "I do"
That's right, I want to be

Free, free like the wind blows
To fly away just like a sparrow
To feel letting my hair blow
To take my time wherever I go
I'm in my prime

You're the one that I adore
Just kiss me once, I wanna know you
Feel the love cause I can feel in mine
If you're the one for me
Just tell me twice and I will see
The heart and soul of all the things I feel
Uh, uh, uh, no

Yesterday when I felt down
I start to Try to remember you I'm relieved
Life is just a thing you don’t waste
??? Cause "I do"
Because I want to be

Free, free like the wind blows
To fly away just like a sparrow
To feel letting my hair blow
To take my time wherever I go
I want to be...

Free, free like the wind blows
To fly away just like a sparrow
To feel letting my hair blow
To take my time wherever I go
I'm in my (day, alright)

Oh, ah
Alright
Ah ah
Oh yeah

Yesterday when I felt down
I start to see you in my mind
And they tried to look at me,
But all they wanted to hear me say, "I do"
Yes, 'cause I want to be

Free, free like the wind blows
To fly away just like a sparrow
To feel letting my hair blow
To take my time wherever I go
I want to be...

Free, free like the wind blows
(Free like the wind blows)
To fly away just like a sparrow
(Wherever I go)
To feel letting my hair blow
(I take my time, baby)
To take my time wherever I go
(Take my time wherever I go)
I want to be...

Free, free like the wind blows
(Free like the wind)
To fly away just like a sparrow (Oh-my-my)
To feel letting my hair blow
(Woah, woah, woah, woah, baby)
To take my time wherever I go
(Wherever I go)

Free, free like the wind blows
(You'll be free, now)
(I want to be free)
To fly away just like a sparrow
(I wanna be free)
To feel letting my hair blow
(I want some loving) (Ah, ah, uh, oh baby)
To take my time wherever I go
(Wherever I go)
(Hoo!)

I've got to be free, baby!

*Laughing*

"Rodney, you're so silly."

For even in death a fire has been ignited regarding his vocals and post-humorous production of Michael. It comes as no surprise that Michael's latest project Bad25 has opened-up a whole new can of worms-And it all has to do with abortion papers!

Although the track might seem a little harsh and judgmental to some, just remember it's only a rough draft. As Michael quipped...

“I have to do it in a way so I don’t offend girls who have gotten abortions or bring back guilt trips so it has to be done carefully… I have to really think about it.“

In other words, Jackson would have worded it differently had he given it another shot. Personally, I believe the tune would morph into a less direct and more contemplative masterpiece as I don't think a song is a place to get preachy!

Although Michael was a very religious man, I believe his platonic love for children was another valid reason for his stance against elective abortion. I think a fair assessment of such songs as Heal the World and The Lost Children give some commentary on his views regarding children who never get to see the light of day.

Matt Forger has this to say on the tracks storyline...

"As noted earlier, this is a song that Michael knew could be controversial and, as a result, he spent a lot of time thinking about the story for the song and the voice through which the song should be told. The song is about a girl whose father is a priest. She was raised in the Church and on the Bible. She gets married in the Church but decides against the Bible, to have an abortion and she wants 'Abortion Papers.'"

I respectfully urge anyone reading this not to abort the miracle of life unless it is for therapeutic reasons(i.e. life or death situations). Please watch this video below and decide for yourselves if elective abortion is morally permissible...

Lyrics

Sister don't read, she'll never know
What about love?
Living a Christian soul
What do we get, she runs away
What about love?
What about all I pray

Don't know the worst, she knows a atheist
What about God?
Living is all I see
What do you get, things she would say
What about love?
That's all I pray

Those abortion papers
Signed in your name against the words of God
Those abortion papers
Think about life, I'd like to have my child

Sister confused, she went alone
What about love?
What about all I saw?
Biding a life, reading the words
Singing a song, citing a Bible verse

Father's confused, mother despair
Brother's in curse
What about all I've seen?
You know the lie, you keep it low
What about heart?
That's all I've known

Those abortion papers
Signed in your name against the words of God
Those abortion papers
Think about life, I'd like to have my child

Those abortion papers (Hoo!)
Signed in your name against the words of God
Those abortion papers
Think about life, I'd like to have my child

Look at my words, what do they say?
Look at my heart, burning is all heartbreak
What do you get?
What do you say?
What about love?
Feel my sin

Those abortion papers
Signed in your name against the words of God
Those abortion papers
Think about life, I'd like to have my child

Those abortion papers (Hoo!)
Think about life, I'd like to have my child

Who have the grateful?
Where will she go?
What will she do to see the world?

Sister don't know, where would she go
What about life?
What about all I saw?
What would you do?
Don't get so confuse
Love all the things
It's just the things I do

Those abortion papers
Signed in your name against the words of God
Those abortion papers
Think about life, I'd like to have my child

Those abortion papers
(Abortion paper)
(This paper) (Hee-Hee)
Those abortion papers (Hee Hee-Hee Hee Hee-Hee)
I'd like to have my child (Hee-Hee Hee Hee-Hee)

Those abortion papers
(Hee-Hee Hee Hee-Hee)
(Hee Hee-Hee Hee Hee-Hee)
Those abortion papers (Hee-Hee Hee Hee-Hee)
I'd like to have my child (Hee-Hee Hee Hee-Hee)
Those abortion papers (Hee-Hee Hee Hee-Hee)
(Hee-Hee Hee-Hee).
Only with an 80's glare and a Steve Wonder-sque harmonica. Although obviously unfinished, this slow Balled is crisp and fairly raw. However both Bill Bottrel and Bruce Swedein swore they never heard the track. So that leaves either Q or someone else in the mix of possible co-producers.

This is not my favorite outtake, but I do enjoy the slow groove and especially those powerful vocals at songs end.

Lyrics

There we are as cold as ice
Asking me to love you
And often be your friend
There you are, I walk alone
Telling me to love you
And often we all did

She told me, she'd forgiving me
A lifetime, love forever true
But she left me for another man
And I'm singing to keep from feelin' blue

All I know is
Tschada dada dada daa (oh no)
Tschada dada dada daa
Tschada dada dada daa
Come on set me free (set me free)

Here I am, so all alone
And I am so sad and lonely
Tell me, what will I do
I can't give, I'm all alone
You used to love me
I feel I am your blue

They told me you should sing a song
Of happy, when your feelin' blue
I'm singing for so very long
Still I am crying, tell me what should I do

All I know is
Tschada dada dada daa (oh no)
Tschada dada dada daa
Tschada dada dada daa
Come on set me free (set me free)

She told me she'd forgiving me
A lifetime, love so guaranty (guaranty)
But she left me for another man
And I'm singing, crying helplessly

But I'll keep singing
Tschada dada dada daa (oh no)
Tschada dada dada daa (oh my my)
Tschada dada dada daa
Come on set me free (set me free, wooh)

Tschada dada dada daa (ooh, and I keep crying)
Tschada dada dada daa (that's what I want, please)
Tschada dada dada daa (hold on, hold on)
Come on set me free (set me free)

All I know is
Tschada dada dada daa (wooh, wooh, wooh)
Tschada dada dada daa (wooh I, ooh)
Tschada dada dada daa
Come on set me free (set me free, wooh)

The Michael Jackson Estate in corroboration with Sony and Pepsi-co will embark on a mission to both promote and release The 25th Anniversary edition to Bad! The deal includes 16 oz. Pepsi cans and free downloads of remixes from the album.

But most importantly, Bad 25 will come as a 3-CD box set. Which will have all the songs you've come to love plus an album full of unreleased gems, a few remixes, and a full live audio CD! In addition, a DVD containing the full unedited 1988 Wembsley Stadium concert will also be included in the package! Two booklets with never-before seen photos of Mr. Jackson in his studio in Havenhurst will come with the territory!

It appears that Sony is attempting to redeem itself(which is a good thing) from their questionable attempt at giving us Michael. An album riddles with controversy from it's beginning. So far I've heard this anniversary edition will focus more on outtakes but will still contain a couple of reinterpretations by the trio Skrillex, Diplo and A-Trak. Quite unlike Thriller 25. Which almost exclusively featured mixes from Akon, West, and a few others.

Bad 25 will hit the shelves on September 18th. Just in time to ring in the Autumn season! I'll keep you posted on anything new. This has been an MJ news 411 update!

Don't Be Messin' Round

As part of the effort to advertise Bad 25(in stores on September 18th), Sony has just released a reissue of I Just Can't Stop Loving You with a special treat for a b-side! Which is just a taste of what will be commencing this Autumn. A three-album box set with a live concert DVD(more on that tomorrow). For now, let me give you a glimps into the making of "Don't Be Messin' Round".

Originally slated to appear on "Thriller", this gem could not find a suitable home to dwell in. Despite getting worked on within each corresponding session. The demo is a mix from none other then 1987.

With a funky tang and a mid-tempo flare reminiscent of Motown's "Dancing In The Street", Michael sure has an active imagination! Just by him dictating, you can sense him layering medley after medley and even popping a few guitar licks into the mix!

This tract was intentionally left unfinished for you get inside Michael Jackson's head and feel the rhythm and shear genius of the King of Pop!

Lyrics
Are you ready for a feeling time
Are you ready for a good treat
Now there's so much entertainment
Are you yeah... in to me

Chorus:
So don't be messin' around, don't be messin around
Don't be messin' around hey hey hey
Don't be messin' around, don't be messin' around
Don't be messin' around hey

If I started now in the deep
Thinking said this feeling is your life
I'll be so proud if you let the only one
That we love before a little while
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsty.com/michael-jackson-dont-be-messin-around-lyrics.html ]
Chorus:
Don't be messin' around, don't be messin around
Don't be messin' around hey hey hey
So don't be messin' around, don't be messin' around
Don't be messin' around hey
Oho yeah yeah,
Oho yeah, oho yeah, oho yeah

Now just started think of pumpin
To the beat I said let's movin up late
She said to keep your mind
There's won't be no romance
No no mess around with me I...

Chorus:
Don't be messin' around, don't be messin around
Don't be messin' around hey hey hey
So don't be messin' around, don't be messin' around
Don't be messin' around hey hey

[2 x Chorus:]

Upon hearing of a Michael Jackson version of Cirque Du Soleil, I was exited to hear a remix album accompanying the blitz! After all, The Beatles Love album rocked! It was an excellent commentary into the Fab 4's creative juice! I wondered what what was in store for The Gloved One!

But after listening to Immortal Megamix(edit), I was initially disappointed. I thought "Can You Feel It" could've been done better. Plus the other two mashed tunes just didn't budge(with the exception of "Black or White"). I thought the album was gonna be a big let-down!

However, that all changed when I delved into the whole album! Although there were still a few areas that should've been mixed and mashed a more efficiently(especially the intro), I am fairly impressed by what I heard coming out of this soundtrack by Kevin Antunes. The deluxe edition will definitely bring you a unique experience into MJ's career!

My favorite parts are Remember The Time with the ticking of the clocks, the electrifying Heartbreak Hotel, The miming Segment of Another part of me with little hinds of "Stranger in Moscow" and possibly even "Hollywood Tonight",, and Is It Scary/Somebody's Watchin' Me/Threatened which flows right into Thriller! There are also other bits and pieces which I like. For instance, listening to Michael's input as he crafted his art.

But there were still some unnecessary bells and whistles, sound-effects that just didn't seem to fit in. I believe melody should of been a little higher on the priority list.

Yet that's just me. I'm sure you'll probably enjoy it for what it's worth. But trust me, "Immortal Megamix" will not give you the whole picture. As they say, "don't judge a book by it's cover". Or in this case, it's sample..
When Headlines all across the globe cried in unison "The King of Pop is no more". Right then and there, a part of us died along with him.

It all started with breaking news. "Michael Jackson has been rushed to the hospital". Hoping to be just another prank, we learn it's the real deal. Furthermore, a reported comes on later affirming that he's slipped into a coma.

At that moment I was in denial. I mean, how could someone past the medical exams with flying colors suddenly pass into a perpetual dream? But then the cold naked truth was leaked! "We interrupt this broadcast to announce that Michael Jackson has passed away".

All our prayers, wishes, and longings were in vain. Michael had been dead all along! Many there were who literally burst into tears. Like John Lennon and Elvis Presley, we've lost another one of a kind legend. There won't be another like him. That's for sure!

Here's a 15 minute short documentary below titles "Never Can Say Goodbye"...

Never Can Say Goodbye from Dianna Dilworth on Vimeo.

I Am The Loser

Here is a brief snippet to a tune recorded by Michael Jackson around 2008 with Prince Durham and 2 Seas Records. A few titles had been floating around the net as of late. Like "I Am A Loser", or "I Was The Loser". But I think the most likely candidate is "I Am The Loser". Below is just a sketch of the lyrics made out from this snippet. Hopefully we'll get treated with a full leakage. Stay tuned!

"You laughed at me
You make a joke on me
You break my heart,
And then wonder why,
I am the loser,
Alright
I am the loser."

Times spanning the career of Michael Jackson! From his grassroots with The Jackson 5 to his most untimely death at age 50.

Read up on reviews of his then most latest achievements, on what he's up to, and the reactions to his ether-worldly deeds. From the eccentric to the down-right bizarre(in a good way)!

Discover dreams that never were and triumphs he could look back on with dignity. Discover the media that made him tick. And in the process some who, despite doubts upheld his genius!

You will also find many other contemporary newsletters discussing issues relevant from that time period. Weather it be racial integration, Sesame Street, or the Twin Towers. Expect to be immersed within the pages of yesteryear!

I was a little disappointed that they omitted any events prier to 1975. Like when he first emerged with his five brothers with four consecutive #1 hits. Also if your not a real history buff, then the surrounding ads and story may detriment your focus upon The King of Pop!

Otherwise, I am quite satisfied and have learned a thing or two probing the archives on The Life and Times of Michael Jackson. Click below to purchase your copy today!
How bout his famous Lisa Marie wedding shoot? Well, today's your lucky day!

Dick Zimmerman was asked to do an interview highlighting his career with such novices as Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nicole Kidman, and the like. Including his spectacular accomplishments with Michael Jackson! Here is a snippet of the interview concerning The Gloved One...

Tell me about the day you photographed Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' cover.
On the day of the shoot, he came alone. No entourage. We had two racks of wardrobe, handpicked by one of the best stylists in LA. Michael didn't really care for anything on it. He said, "I'd like to be wearing something like what you have on." I was wearing my white suit that day. I said, "Well, we're about the same height." So Michael is actually wearing my white suit on the cover.

What happened to the suit?
I auctioned it off at Sotheby's years ago. I was concerned with the safety of my wife and myself because, at the time, we had a very big house and I went out of town a lot. I didn't know if word would get around that I had the suit, and I didn't want to take a chance. I decided to just get rid of it.

How much did it sell for?
I believe I got $27,000 for it, and I'm guessing that was 10 years ago. Today, I could probably get a million bucks for it.

Tell me about shooting the exclusive wedding portrait of Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley.
We did the shoot at the Trump Tower in Donald Trump's suite. They actually closed down 5th Avenue in front of the building because they didn't have enough room on the sidewalk for the photographers. The whole street was filled with photographers.

How did you get past the throng of photographers?
They had to sneak me in through the service elevator. After we did it, I was worried about my life. These photographs were worth a lot of money. We closed down a whole photo lab so we could produce the images in secrecy.

After shooting the couple's wedding portraits, you went back up to Trump's suite. What happened then?
Around midnight the maid let me into Michael and Lisa Marie's suite and told me that Michael would be down in a few minutes. Thirty minutes go by and no sign of Michael. I'm walking around the suite -- it was kind of dark in there -- and I see this fellow across the room wearing a mustache and beard. I figured he was a security guard. I walked over to him asked if he had any idea when Michael was going to be here. I looked at him and all of a sudden I realized it was Michael. We both laughed as he pulled off his disguise. He had been waiting there the whole time, just watching me, waiting for me to notice him.

What happened after that?
He opened up a bottle of wine and sat down and looked over the photographs. We talked and talked until about 3 o'clock in the morning. He told me about all his frustrations. He had just done an interview with Diane Sawyer where he took her on a tour of his Neverland Ranch. He said he was as honest with her as anybody could possibly be, and the next day the press jumped on him. He had tears in his eyes. He said, "I don't know what to do anymore."

Do you feel he was misunderstood?
He was very misunderstood. They talk about him being a pedophile. I can tell you that didn't happen. He was very childlike. I thought he was like a gentle butterfly. All he talked about was future generations of children, the environment, air quality. His problem was that he had too many bodyguards around him. Too many people pushing him in all different directions, and with ulterior motives.

And for good reason too! The unthinkable had just occurred. Our idol had just passed away on account of patient malpractice(and addiction).

In "Michael-Diary of A Fan", Franck takes us on a journey through his personal life after this most tragic event. Weather by paying his respects, popping more pills, or even traveling around the world in an attempt to run from himself, his spirit would always come back to haunt him. Weather he visited the basilicas of Moscow, the parading rhythm of Spain, or even the organized routs of Tokyo. He just could not escape deaths cold grip upon his soul. Not until he confronted the monsters in his closet could Frank hope to allow MJ to R.I.P.

Although the book is littered with grammatical errors, I find his journey pretty intriguing. He even admits(to his credit) that some fans are just too fanatical(even to the point of making him out to be a god). His drawings of the King of Pop are superb(I wish I could draw like that). If you are looking for an extra novel to read in your spare time, then I recommend "Michael-Diary of A Fan"! Click below to purchase a copy...
Right before he was falsely charged with you know what(had this not happened, the track would've made the incomplete album slated for 2004).

Furthermore, he plans on leaking the full version real soon. Stay tuned for further updates! In the meantime watch for my post on Thursday as I have another book review!

*Update* In case your wondering what "All In Your Name" means. Well, according to Gibb it's all for the cause of the fans(at least indirectly). Berry has just released a brief snippet of behind-the-scenes studio footage(which is reportedly up to two hours long) of them rehearsing this work of art! Watch and listen below...

[[**Update** The single has now been released of it's entirety. More details can be found Here!]]
Dr. Freeze has recently dropped by and conducted an interview with MJFrance founder Quagmire about working with his idol Michael Jackson. They spent a good deal on the phone talking about everything from being called to drafting a few tracks-even goofin' around together. And before I let the dialog take over, here are a few tidbits about Mr. Freeze.

During the Invincible Sessions, he helped string together Break of Dawn. Blue Gangsta, and A Place With No Name were album outtakes recorded around the same time. But I'll save the rest for the interview.

take it away guys...

An Interview With Dr. Freeze
Quagmire: I'm eager to hear how you began working with Michael Jackson and how he contacted you.

Dr. Freeze: I knew his manager, John McClain, and I was working on an album with my partners, Spydermann. After completing the album, it did not go as planned and we had to cancel the project. I was very upset. And then John McClain said, "Do not worry Freeze. I have another project for you. You'll be in business with Michael." I said: "Michael ... who?" And he said: "Michael Jackson!" I did not believe it at first and I thought it was crazy. And then one day I was on the phone with my father and someone called me on the other line...And it was Michael! That's how it all began. I had some songs that I made for Michael. He adored them! Because Michael and I, we have a knack for melody. So every time I proposed something, it was easy for him to study the song because it was as if he already knew. I gave him some songs that he adored. He cherished them. That's how we met.

Q: Speaking of "Break Of Dawn", which is a great song. I think that's one of the most sensual songs he has ever made and that's what I wanted to hear from Michael. I do not know if you knew, this is the first time he talks about making love in a song. I do not know if you had addressed this very issue with him?

F: (laughs) Yeah, thank you. It was his favorite song. That was his baby!

Q: Do you remember the exact number of songs that you have presented?

F: I introduced him to many songs. The main songs on which we worked are "Break Of Dawn", "A Place With No Name" and "Blue Gangsta". These three songs were our priorities. "Break Of Dawn" is one of the songs that have been finalized. Others have been released later. They are kept in reserve.

Q: So you suggest songs hmm...No doubt Michael adores most of his work. As I understand, he loved every bit of "Break Of Dawn", and from there he decided to focus on this particular song. What happened next?

F: We were recording, went studio hopping, re-registered, and recorded more songs. You know, "A Place With No Name" and "Gangsta Blue" were recorded at the same time. There are also some others I can not speak of now. But other songs were recorded. We saved a lot but these three songs were our three main objectives.

Q: What was your mindset in the first day in the studio with him? How did you feel?

F: It was pretty scary for me! I felt like I was back in primary school and not knowing anything about the production! With Michael I relearned everything. The other producers and I were as students facing a teacher. With Michael, it was as if we knew nothing more to the business: we had to start over and relearn everything. He taught us to do everything the best way possible: Michael was a perfectionist and we had to start from scratch to produce the music the best possible way. I was very nervous, very nervous but very honored! Anyway, Michael was more nervous with me than I were with him. He was simply the most wonderful person with whom you could never dream of working with. It was great! He knew all about the music industry, everything about everything, nothing was foreign to him, and he taught me a lot. Finally, he was very humble and creative. It was really great to work with him.

Q: You have therefore proposed his "Break Of Dawn", and then you had to redo the song in full by following his advice?

F: No, he just had to record vocals...and add his magic! It was like flowers and trees grew in the song! He touched her and it became magical! I was shocked!

Q: So all the musical parts and the lyrics were made in advance?

F: Yes, he loved the song! He wanted to leave it as is! All of it was me on this piece, no one had the right to change anything. Because it sounded like he had heard it for the first time we had a dream, a vision, and he wanted to recreate this dream in song to the last detail. He did not want to change anything, he wanted to keep the magic of the song absolutely intact. What you hear on Invincible is exactly the version I've given him before he raises his voice there.

Q: How long did it take him to record the song?

F: It took him time because he wanted a lot of momentum in the voice, especially the harmony you hear in the chorus. It took time. The process was in the studio as long as if we were filming a movie!

Q: At that time, he also worked on other songs for Invincible?

F: Yes.

Q: So he was taken to record his voice, listen to it, arrange it, working on other songs, then he returned a few days later to make additional catches...right?

F: Yes, it was incremental work. Sometimes he recorded the lead vocals, sometimes it was just the chorus or ad-lib...He also listened to the different mixes and changed some details around here or there. He was in full creative control. We wanted the song to be perfect, and to return to my analogy about film, it was a bit like a director looking to improve his film by changing the script or changing players. This is the type of process that was used to create this song, and overall, the album Invincible.

Q: So basically, he changed a verse, started work on another song, and a few days later, he came to you to change the song again?

F: Yes. When he returned, changes were made and ideas were proposed, he listened attentively. It also arose at times to arrange two or three things. Ultimately, all decisions were his. He was the boss. He was open to any criticism or suggestions beneficial to the song, as the tune kept its effectiveness. All that interested him was to have #1 hits.

Q: Who's idea was it to take "A Horse With No Name" from "America" unto a whole new level?

F: That's me. Again, I did all the music, and he only had to learn the lyrics. It was at the same time as "Break Of Dawn", but it was not extended and we continued to work on it later. It has improved gradually.

Q: Was it planned for the album Invincible or another project?

F: Initially it was planned for Invincible, yes. It is not out on this album and was therefore kept in reserve as was "Blue Gangsta".

Q: Compared to the extract leak on the Internet, can we expect different mixing?

F: Yes, what you heard was an old mix. One you'll soon hear is completely new.

Q: You said "soon"? I am willing to learn more!

F: "A Place With No Name" and "Blue Gangsta" will both be on the next post-humorous album of Michael Jackson. "A Place With No Name" will be different from the leak on the internet, it will be updated. For "Blue Gangsta" I've rerecorded the instrumental. So expect changes to that as well.

Q: Did you complete this song with Michael when he was alive lifetime?

F: Absolutely, it has been finalized.

Q: What were your feelings about Michael when you got to know him a little better in the studio?

F: It taught me not only to create a song correctly, but it also gave me advice on the music industry as a whole. My main feeling is that he was an absolute genius. I was fortunate to learn from one of the greatest entertainers of all time. I try to apply his advice to the projects I undertake today: I try to keep alive the artistic spirit of Michael Jackson. It's like if I graduated from the University of Michael Jackson. Anyway, getting back to your question, the word "feeling" is too low. There is no word strong enough to describe what I learned and lived with the King of Pop.

Q: Do you have any anecdotes about your studio sessions?

F: Not really. I had great fun working with him. Michael was someone who loved to make funny jokes. He really opened up about many topics, video games, etc...Then resumed his work. We were amazed at his performance. It happened like that.

Q: Did he warm up a lot vocally recording the track?

F: Anyone who is warm, either in sports or singing. We never saw him do his vocal exercises before us, but when he came into the studio to record, he stood before the microphone and set fire to the song. As he left, the studio was in ashes and our jaws on the floor. It was really impressive to see.

Quagmire: As I said earlier, "Break Of Dawn" contains very specific words. It's very sensual and it's the first time he talks about making love. How did he feel over this when you made the recordings, in what state of mind was he in? Were there any special wishes during these sessions?

Dr. Freeze: No, he just told me he loved the song. I do not give him orders, he knew exactly what to do. He took control of the plane, I'm just busy taking off.

Q: Basically, he said: "Can we do what verse again, Ell..." By the way, is what you called Elliot?

F: No, he always called me "Freeze"!

Q: And you, you immediately called him by his first name?

F: Absolutely! We were really close. In fact, to be precise, I called him by his nickname "Mike" instead of Michael.

Q: You mentioned video games earlier. Do you remember the games you played with him at the time?

F: In his house, he had plenty of video games. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and also Flight Simulator. We spent a lot of time playing them.

Q: Were you playing in the studio or at Neverland?

F: Yes, I went to Neverland, to relax and work. We worked a lot there. He had a studio at the ranch. So I was working there and sometimes he would say: "Come on, take a break Freeze! Go and have a little fun, watch a movie, engage in an attraction or take a stroll to the zoo!" Neverland was a bit like a second home to me.

Q: I did not know you worked at Neverland! It's interesting because we do not have many details on the studio of Neverland. Was it a professional studio?

F: Yes, completely, There was a lot of professional equipment, Pro Tools, stuff like that, you know?

Q: Did he use it alone?

F: Absolutely, as soon as Michael was talking about an unbeatable studio.

Q: In fact, we know he could not really play an instrument, so we always wondered if he was able to record anything on his own without the help of an engineer or producer.

F: He could do everything himself. You know, Michael was truly a "living instrument". He could play some chords on a keyboard, he was doing pretty good. He also knew programmed beats.

Q: Getting back to "Break of Dawn", can you tell us why Michael Jackson does not sing the chorus of this song?

F: Well, because he liked my version of the chorus. He found it very beautiful, and he wanted to leave everything as is. He liked my singing. He would not spoil the chorus, he loved how I had preserved it. My trademark is to make the chorus to every song that I produce("Poison," "I Want to Sex You Up"). I've been doing this forever, and Michael loved my singing on "Break of Dawn".

Q: Where did you get the inspiration for the songs "Break Of Dawn", "Blue Gangsta" and "A Place With No Name"? How does your creative process work?

F: "Break Of Dawn" is just a romantic ballad that I wrote one day. For "Blue Gangsta" I wanted to make a new "Smooth Criminal". Something more modern and rooted in the 2000s. That was the idea. "A Place With No Name" is itself a kind of escape, a song where you just close your eyes to find yourself instantly transported into a wonderful world. In fact, this song was inspired by "A Horse With No Name" from the group America. The lyrics of this song are very deep. I wanted to refresh it, make a version for the 2000s as well.

Q: Did you obtain the rights to the band quickly? Did you ask permission?

F: Oh absolutely, the group America loved the idea. They found this "update" absolutely terrific. They were really excited about this project. Compared to the extract leak on the internet, many wonderful items were added to the song by Michael. It's more dense, much denser. Believe me, when you hear it, you'll be taping your foot!

Q: So you did not touch it, will it emerge as you had finalized with him?

F: The song will be released in it's latest version on which we worked. It will be drastically different from the extract(July 2009) version and more enormous. In fact, this song is very cinematic in its form. It would have been a perfect song for a movie like Avatar because it reveals to us a wonderful world, where people are different, but happy. This song is like an escape from everyday life. it's a song where one is literally transported.

Q: Was "Blue Gangsta" remixed by Tempamental as "No Friend Of Mine"?

F: This is not the name of the song, it's just the chorus that contains these few words. The real title is "Blue Gangsta". When I heard this remix, I could not believe it. Many people called me because of that and I do not understand what had happened. The concern is that I do not even know who released the song! It remains a mystery. Why did they do that? Where did this rap originate? How were they taken? In fact, we knew nothing about this story, me nor Michael. We really do not understand where this leak came come...

Q: There are still a few weeks, nobody knew where this track originate, and how Michael Jackson had been involved in this project.

F: Yeah, I know it's crazy. The name of the song was not even good![Dr. Freeze humming the chorus of the song on the phone: "Your no friend of mine, what you put me through, now I'm the blue gangsta nah..."] Was just the chorus. This highlights the ignorance of people who are causing the leaks on the internet: they take the song and put it online without knowing its origin.

Q: For fans, they did not really understand how it could be proposed. It was weird. We suspected that something was amiss, but we did not know exactly what...

F: Yes, the song was not presented to the public as needed. A guy has just stolen the song, added a rap, and swung it on the net. I was not even credited, any more than Michael! She just landed here without any logical explanation...

Q: Have you done other songs with Michael Jackson, other than these three?

F: We did some other songs, I do not think we've finalized anything. I'm not sure I can tell you much more.

Q: Overall, how many songs did you write for Michael?

F: Oh, about thirty, and I had to save five or six of 'em.

Q: And you have these songs in your possession today?

F: Most of his novels are in the coffers now. We have no control over them. They keep everything in the chests.

Q: So is the hands of the Estate?

F: Yes, absolutely. John McClain is responsible for it.

Q: Is he the boss!

F: Yes, the boss!

Q: Were you able to hear new songs?

F: Yes, I could listen to most of them. But I can not say anything, sorry. I'm not allowed to disclose anything.

Q: Let's play a little game instead. I'll give you the names of songs, and you tell me whether or not you've heard 'em. Have you heard "Escape"?

F: "Escape"? That tells me nothing.

Q: "Fear," "Face", does that tell you something?

F: No, nothing at all

Q: Have you listened to "Do You Know Where Your Children Are?

F: I've heard it in the studios.

Q: "Crack Kills"?

F: Never heard of that.

Q: The "gloved One"?

F: No.

Q: In fact, it would be easier if you give us some names...Could you give us the name of an unreleased track that you particularly marked and talk a little?

F: There's a song we made together, but I do not know if he has completed his vocal parts. It's called "Rise Above It All". It's a song I wrote and on which we worked.

Q: What was it about?

F: It's an upbeat song. If you feel bad, if things are going wrong in the world, be positive and try to be as happy as possible, leaving aside all the negative things. Overcome negativity, go beyond the woes of the world, all wars, the starving children and all the bad things. Assemble yourselves, hold your hand, raise your hands to heaven and pass it all. It's a little theme song. I can not say whether he had recorded the song, but in any case, we worked on it. There are other songs on which they collaborated. Most of these songs are mid-tempo, but I can not say anything more.

Quagmire: Have you talked with John McClain of songs that you recorded with Michael and what he intended to do with them?

Dr. Freeze: No. It's hard to go directly into contact with John McClain, he is very busy. The subject has not yet been addressed.

Q: How do you know if "A Place With No Name" and "Blue Gangsta" will be on the next album?

F: That I know. This is confirmed.

Q: Great, we look forward to that! Do you intend to edit the song "Blue Gangsta", like a fresh remake?

F: Actually, I've already done so for "Blue Gangsta". I've updated it a bit, the song is completed, ready to go. It will be completely different from the version leaked on the net. It is perfectly calibrated to enter a nightclub. It sounds very European in style productions Kraftwerk.

Q: Will you keep the base of the song?[Quagmire he sings an excerpt]

F: Absolutely everything is the same, but it sounds more current.

Q: You've stepped up the pace?

F: No, no. Everything is exactly the same.

Q: [Confused] Okay. So to summarize, you've just added a few extra sounds and made some alterations to the "sound"?

F: Exactly. To make an analogy, it's like if you had shot a movie and then you take it out in 3D.

Q: Any shoot-up of your recording sessions?

F: No, no cameras were allowed. You know, he disliked being photographed and being filmed in the studio. Therefore, it was forbidden.

Q: Earlier in the interview, you said he was programming beats and played the keyboard in front of you. Can you tell us more?

F: Sometimes, he naturally created songs, and when he did hear me, I was stunned. Essentially, it was just ideas thrown here and there, depending on the emotion in which he stood. It was in the creative process and he loved it. From dusk till dawn, he created sounds, melodies, harmonies. It was quite an experience for me. I learned a lot from him.

Q: Which studios did you record in?

F: We recorded in several studios. Sometimes in New York, sometimes in California. We spent much time at the ranch. In fact, the choice depended mainly on the studio where it was geographically. We went through the Hit Factory in New York, and if my memory serves me right, "Record One" in Los Angeles. We also used the studio of John McClain and recorded at Neverland.

Q: Are there any catches recorded at Neverland, which were used in the final mix of a song?

F: With regard to my records, all of them are from major studios. But he has recorded songs with other producers from Neverland. Unfortunately, I can not tell you exactly what songs. Ah yes, I remember a song that is present on his latest album. It's called "Hollywood" I believe, and I remember he had worked on it at Neverland.

Q: So he worked on other projects when you were there?

F: Yes, he was working on other songs. He sometimes asked me my opinion. Sometimes I've worked a bit with him. But hey, I was not alone. There were some other producers who were with him as well.

Q: When you have finished the sessions with him, did you know that they were finished or did you expect that he'll get back to work on other songs?

F: As soon as we started recording together, I knew that I would dedicate myself totally. I only wanted to work with Michael. I had promised never to work with anyone else. It was a full time job: I worked with him for years. I was in the studio with him shortly before his death.

Q: You were in the studio with him just before his death?

F: In fact, we talked a lot and we were about to enter the studio. To be precise, I remember going to see him at his residence in Vegas, and there was a studio there. It was just before he leaved.

Q: Did you saved anything?

F: No, nothing was recorded, we just brainstormed. We were about to start recording sessions: one was ready and we prepared the equipment for the studio. I offered a few new songs I had written especially for him. He loved them very much, he wanted to save them, but he died.

Q: Did he talk about his upcoming album? Any launch dates?

F: No, we never discussed this issue.

Q: Returning to "Blue Gangsta", did you get the idea of the accordion and whistles to the Ennio Morricone?

F: Yes. I had the idea of ringing, it comes from the movie "The Good the Bad and the Ugly"[He whistles the melody on the phone]. As I said, I wanted to make a new "Smooth Criminal". It was our objective: "the new Smooth Criminal."

Q: Do you remember your impression when you first met? Was it as you imagined? Were you surprised or disappointed by his character?

F: I already knew that Michael was the most humble person you could meet. He was my best friend, the most beautiful meeting of my life. It's like a meeting with Captain Kirk frankly, who does not like Captain Kirk? This fictional character was cool, friendly and he was a nice guy. And although Michael was a bit like that. As you can imagine, I am a true fan of Star Trek, and that's why I speak of Captain Kirk...Meet Michael Jackson, was a bit like if I met Captain Kirk, it was just unbelievable. Today, there are more stars with the same aura. I was really amazed when I met him and my parents are very proud of me: not only have I managed to work with the King of Pop, but it was not limited to a mere professional relationship. I became his friend, his best friend. I love him to death, even today. We were like brothers, very close, so yeah, to summarize, my meeting with Michael, it was as if I had become friendly with Captain Kirk!

Q: Michael is universally recognized as the greatest artist. You met him and you became one of his friends. Do you have any anecdotes about him we would not know?

F: It was incredible, a genius. He was an angel, which is also why his name was Michael. Yeah, he was truly an angel.

Q: Were there any requests for special equipment for recording, such as microphones or instruments? Were there any special requirements?

F: No, he did not care as it sounded good. He could sing something in his notebook and save it like that, it did not bother him as it was a good melody or a tube power.

Q: Do you remember the microphone used for "Break Of Dawn"?

F: No. We were in so many studios...It's a question you should ask for sound engineers: they each had their own equipment and I do not remember exactly what they had.

Q: What engineers have participated in your recording sessions?

F: From memory, there was Prince Michael, Brad and Mike Dean Buxer. There was also Bruce Swedien, of course. I have not worked directly with him but I know him very well, it's very cool. Another genius.

Q: Did he complete some of your songs, or did you finalize everything alone, mixing included?

F: There are engineers who have reworked some songs. I do not know who made the final mixes. I would have asked John McClain...I do not know who worked on these songs with Michael, I was not there physically.

Q: What is the thing that you are most impressed with Michael, artistically speaking?

F: Michael loved his fans, he loved his music and he loved making music for his fans. He liked to give love and joy to people. It was his mission. He was very dedicated and loyal. It was something he wanted to do, or that he had to do. He loved people from the depths of his soul. And when he made this music, he did for us.

Q: What is your favorite album by Michael?

F: I love 'em all. With Michael Jackson, it is impossible to have a favorite song or album. However, when I was a kid, my favorite song was "Rock With You". I found it really amazing...Yeah, it was definitely one of my favorites.

Q: Do you remember your last discussion with Michael?

F: We were just about to record the new album and when he heard my songs he told me to send them out as quickly as possible abroad. He liked my new productions. This was our last discussion. He said "I love you" and voila, it was over.

Q: What did you mean by "abroad" just now?

F: The music I'm currently selling out abroad. I've followed Michael's instructions to the letter. He told me to take this music right now and sell it abroad, and that's what I've done. You know, he really knew something about business, so I follow his advice. And so, here is the info that I'll reveal exclusively: my new album coming soon!

Q: When will it he?

F: The first candidate for single release will be in the Spring of 2011. It's called "We Are The Robots".

Q: That's great! Thank you for your generosity and these tidbits about Michael Jackson. All our good wishes for your future projects.

F: Thank you.
But only in the U.K. The launch is scheduled for early March(though things could change).

Teddy Riley and perhaps a few others may lay a couple of remixes for the track. But nothing is set in stone yet.

I don't believe this albums deserves more promotion. Yet all personal feelings aside, we'll just have to wait and see. Coming from the Invincible Sessions is "Blue Gangsta". Co-written by Elliot Straite(aka Dr. Freeze) and completed(barely) around 1999-2001. He also co-authored two other outtakes(with Michael) from those sessions. Namely "A Place With No Name" and "Break of Dawn.

In 2006 Pras and Temperamental both got a hold of the track and renamed it "Gangsta(No Friend of Mine). Featuring raping segments of their own.

But now for the very first time we're treated with a Rapless sole by non other then the King of Pop himself Michael Jackson! Enjoy!!!

Lyrics
What you're gonna do
You ain't no friend of mine
Look what you've put me through
Now that I'm the blue gangsta

What you're gonna do
You ain't no friend of mine
The blue gangsta

What you're gonna do, cause I'm gonna get you
No way to run no way to hide
All the things you've said, everything you've done to me
You can no longer make me cry

Look what you've done to me, baby
I can no longer smile, baby
And I've waited so long, just to carry on
I'm the blue gangsta

What you're gonna do
You ain't no friend of mine (Gangster)
Look what you've put me through
Now that I'm the blue gangsta (I'm the blue gangsta)
You ain't no friend of mine
(I can never fall in Love)
The blue gangsta

You've tricked me nine to five, left and you said crime
I've been abused, watch me light in fuse
Said you'd be my wife, nothing but big lies

Don't know what I've done, everything you've got
Things you've done to me, are coming back to you
You know just what I've done, the things you've done to me
I'm the blue gangsta
The blue gangsta

See, I am so amused to the things you've said
And the things you have done to me
There is nothing in this world make me change
You make me wanna sing

Aaaah
