Michael performed two amazing back-to-back sold out shows at the Mt Airy Casino this past weekend!  Quite a few MJOers were in attendance and had the time of their lives!

Michael is such a natural and talented performer and I have never seen anything like the way he engages his audience..if you ever get a chance to see him perform live, grab it because you will be amazed!!

We’re pleased to announce that Michael will be performing 2 shows on September 4th with the Stars Of America at the Mount Airy Casino, PA. This comes as great news to all of his fans in the East.

The current Stars Of America include Nikki McKibbin, Alexis Stone Lopez and our favourite singer/songwriter, Michael Johns.

Michael continues to wow his fans with his wonderful talent and is one of the most engaging musicians you’ll come across – so if you can make it to the show, you will be in for a fantastic evening!

Michael has been busy writing and he got together recently with Brooke White to pen a new song for an upcoming movie…

Wrote a beautiful song with Brooke White for an upcoming movie yesterday. Hopefully it gets picked up coz she sounds amazing

Today he tweeted again with some very good news!!

The song got picked up by the producers Brooke told me last night i’m pretty pumped about it.

Congratulations to both Michael and Brooke..such a talented pair!  I know everyone will be dying to hear the new music and see their names on the film credits!

Michael was invited to sing at a private birthday event in Jackson Hole WY where the guests were treated to a wonderful version of Van Morrison’s “Into The Mystic” He was proudly wearing his “Western Tuxedo” and of course his the necessary cowboy hat!

Wait to you see the photos from this weekend in Jackson Hole WY I was dressed like a Cowboy all wknd and i gotta say i loved it haha

MJ I gotta say you rock that cowboy hat… wear it often please!!  :) You both look adorable dressed in your western outfits!

Wow! The fans at the Dodgers vs Giants baseball game last evening got an amazing treat with Michael’s fabulous renditions of both “The Star Spangled Banner” and “God Bless America”!

Recently, Michael was invited to be a celebrity judge in the search for a Cinderella!

Lythgoe Family Productions, MPI Entertainment and Jason Haigh-Ellery (producers of ”Footloose”, ”The Wedding Singer”) and the El Portal Theater have partnered with Westfield shopping centers to present “The Search for Cinderella”. The winner of this competition will star as Cinderella at the historic El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood at the end of the year in the premier production of Cinderella.

This production of Cinderella will be a magical musical extravaganza in the style of a Traditional London Panto. The age old fairytale of Cinderella will be set to modern day music with a comical twist.

Participants will be auditioning to the production staff, as well as 1-2 celebrity judges at each location. Celebrity guest judges include Kara DioGuardi, Mary Murphy, Adam Shankman, Mark Ballas, Michael Johns, Benji Schwimmer, and Director Bonnie Lythgoe.

Entertainment for the three days will kick off with a spectacular fireworks display on Friday night. Throughout the weekend, crowds will be wowed by acts such as Stars of America Tour, featuring former American Idols Michael Johns, Nikki McKibbin and Alexis Stone Lopez; the Beatles cover band Sun Kings; Journey Unauthorized; and a magic act from Biernacki and the Illusion.

If you are in the area, you don’t want to miss this event…. seeing Michael perform live is absolutely amazing!!

Tickets to the CornFest are $10 for adults, and $5 for seniors (65 and over) and youth (6-17). Advance tickets may be purchased at the Brentwood chamber offices, 8440 Brentwood Blvd., Suite C.

CornFest hours are Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call 925-634-3344.

The Idols are scheduled to perform starting at 4pm on Sunday but check with the venue to be sure.
