It caught my attention last night that I’ve been writing this blog for a year now (hard to believe). So, I decided to look up the stats for the year. I looked them up for all my blogs:

PaleoBabble: 58,201 visits

The Naked Bible: 70,300 visits

UFO Religions: 39,500 visits

Every Thought Captive: 49,472 visits

and my neglected Two Powers in Heaven:an amazing 25,908 visits

I don’t know what the stats really “mean,” but thanks to those who stopped by to read!

More on the 2012 Nonsense

A couple posts ago I pointed readers to a website debunking the 2012 nonsense. THe creator of the that site contacted me and alerted me to another site where his own work has been broken up into more “digestible bits.” This site is pretty cool (just look down the lefthand side). Lots of great information.

For Those of You Who Don’t Believe Print Media has a Socialist Progressive Bias …

This is a particularly egregious example of how the New York Times is an Obama healthcare lapdog.

Why is socialized healthcare bad? It isn’t just about inconvenience or incompetence (ask anyone who has lived under socialized medicine about those). It’s about the fact that, if hte government pays for all your medical care, it then will assume (and assert) the right to tell you how to live “for your health” and to cut costs. What you eat and drink, your level of exercise, what job you have (risks?), what appliances you have at home, where you live, etc. are all areas that can be “explored” for their effects on your health (not to mention a plethora of other things). In short, there are reasons why many consider universal healthcare the mother of all government control mechanisms over the lives of its citizens. The one paying for something that touches every area of your life (your body goes wherever you do!) will assume the right to make all sorts of decisions for you.

Fantasy Football with Mike

Well, it’s that time of year! I’ve created two fantasy football leagues. Their titles are oriented to my personal feeling of disenfranchisement with respect to the country’s resolute march toward socialism and fascism. Hey, it helps to let off a little steam and have some football fun at the same time. Here is the information on the leagues. Once they fill up, they’re filled up! (How profound). Just click through the appropriate link. Make sure you look at the “Scoring and Settings” under the LEAGUE tab before the draft. If you’ve never done a live draft, directions for testing your computer system for draft capability are on the league page, as well as a link to a mock draft (a practice draft). The drafts for these leagues aren’t until August (dates and times are on the league page).

Americorruption

Heard about President Obama’s Americorp scandal? Probably not. The mainstream media don’t seem to care (what a surprise).

In a nutshell, the president fired an inspector general last week, something that is pretty rare. In fact, it’s against the law. The law requires that Congress be given thirty days notice that such a firing is pending, since inspector generals are supposed to be non-political (they’re government watchdogs).

You might be thinking, “Maybe the president didn’t know about that law — he’s new on the job, you know.” Right. Sorry–guess who authored the law and proposed it in the first place? Why, Senator Barack Obama from Illinois! Boy, to violate his own law, he must have wanted that inspector general out of there pretty badly. Wonder why.

Read about it here – there’s a lot more to it. So much for the administration that was advertised as being open and transparent.

John Greenewald Getting Hassled by the NSA

Thanks to Nick Redfern for posting this, a short description and link about how John Greenewald, the erstwhile FOIA warrior with respect to UFO documentation, is being denied his FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests by the NSA on rather flimsy grounds. Hope John gets the desired results, since FOIA wasn’t created to hinder information flow.
