Dahlings…I just bought this Lauren by Ralph Lauren Crested Blazer for a STEAL at Marshall’s! At $80 (down from $290) I just had to have it. I’ve wanted a crested blazer for a while now bc it makes any casual outfit look uber preppy & polished. I paired it with a button-down shirt from Zara, H&M shorts & my Dolce & Gabbana OTK boots (I have these in 2 colors – totes obsessed much?). A pair of Frye boots can also complete the look. The skinny belt lends a feminine touch & with my Prada Napa Gauffre Satchel, I am ready to take on the Upper East Side…

11.27.22 – Engaged @ St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Midtown Manhattan

Sure y’all didn’t know this, was coming…

I took almost a year break from social, as the last few years were incredibly challenging.

My mother passed away in 2018, followed by my father’s passing in 2019. In 2020, I separated from my now ex-husband, which was followed with a divorce. It was not fabulush, however…

Along the way, I met a charming cowboy, who helped me navigate these torrential life waters, showing me dedicated family man virtues, being the most loving dad to Sumner and sharing the most beautiful love I have ever experienced. It is not lost on me, that I am truly, one lucky Midtown Girl. 

Country Guy NYC and I are looking forward to sharing our family life, the beautiful home we are building, our Manhattan apartment and exciting plans for our upcoming country wedding (yes MG’s going Country Glam!).

Cheers to new beginnings and a fabulush 2023, y’all! More to come…

The holidays are a stressful time period, let alone being single. As soon as I leave Manhattan, I’m no longer this proud, independent single 29-year old. I’m this strange creature that every looks at in suburbia land with pity.

A black sheep. It’s almost as bad as weddings.

My family, as I’m sure many families do, constantly brings to attention my singleness at family functions. I also have the unfortunate pleasure of being the only single person left of all the cousins. YIPEE! Because of this, I’m either at the kids table (which is way funner) or my mom seats me next to her like she’s my protector.

God forbid I sit alone! 

I think it’s a lot of pressure to bring a date to your family functions because they’re ALL there. I would wait until you’re pretty serious before bringing them around to holiday events. Although, I’ve thought about bringing a guy to an occasion where all the family is there because then he’ll only have to interact for 5 minutes, then bounce to the next person lol.

I’ve had many years to think about this people. 

The bright side of being single during the holidays is not having to deal with the two-family conundrum. Dealing with one mother during the holidays can be stressful enough but adding your significant other’s mom – NO THANKS! Seems like a nightmare for the couples I know, so I’m always grateful I don’t have to deal with that…yet.

At MG, we are huge fans of modern preppy glam. I redecorated this living room with neutral, classic pieces and added accents in cool blues with touches of silver. Anchoring the room is a super comfy, sand-colored sofa and a vintage coffee table. By adding a geometric patterned rug, lattice table runner, bold-printed pillows and textured shawl, the room comes to life…

Although these accents are different patterns, they work cohesively bc they’re in the same color family. The final touch? A glamorous mirror & hammered silver accents to make this Modern Preppy Glam living room fabulush.
