Beats Pro: $399. sturdy,great bass,personally not inspired by someone's name on the headband Barrows & Wilkins: $299. exceptional clarity, smooth, scared by undetachable, angel hair pasta thick cord Turtly Beach: $159. too many added gadgets come with it to break down but very decent sounding. AKG: $399. clean sound but low output and weak bass Pioneer HDJ 2000: well constructed and great feel/finish, superb sound from lows to highs. really enjoying these the most so far. Still looking forward to trying the Denon HP-1000s but now with a little apprehension Just ordered the DN HP-1000s, $150

I wanted a controller with a large platter. I finally bought a Stanton SCS.1d which has a 10 inch direct drive midi controller/platter. To be honest, I do miss my Xone 2D. It was a great controller. Overheating was NEVER an issue. The problem was me leaving the unit on top of some high wattage club lights that get very hot. Ever after that episode, the unit functioned perfectly.
