This week only, June 16 – 22nd, Chase is offering 60,000 bonus points on the Chase Ink Bold and Chase Ink Plus card after minimum spend of $5,000 in the first three months.  This is an increase of 10,000 points from the normal 50,000 point offer.  The regular offer was already very attractive and now this just sweetness the deal.  The minimum spend has already been reduced to encourage more applicants.  When I applied two years ago for the Ink Bold, I had to meet a $10,000 minimum spend.  It was doable with all the creative spending tools available but it’s much easier at $5,000.

If you were considering the Chase Ink Bold, Ink Plus, Ink Cash or Ink Classic, now is definitely the time to pull the trigger on that application.  Remember, if you have the Ink Bold, you can also apply for the Ink Plus.  If you’ve had both like me, you might consider the Ink Cash Business card that has increased to $250 Cash Bonus from the normal $200.  NOTE:  The Ink Cash can also be transfer to Ultimate Rewards points if you have a Ink Bold, Ink Plus, or Sapphire Preferred.

Ultimate Rewards points can be transferred to the following partners:

Also remember that you don’t need to have a big business to apply for a business credit card.  It can be as simple as a home business that you sell your crafts on Etsy or Ebay.  You also do not need a tax identification number.  You can apply using your own social security number.  Even if you don’t have much income, you can still qualify as a start up business to apply for business credit cards as they based the approval primarily on your personal credit score even when you use a tax id.

So bottom line, if you are in a good place with your credit scores and finances to apply for a credit card, these are excellent offers.  I have never seen bonus offers higher for these Chase business cards.  The flexibility of Chase Ultimate Rewards points just can’t be beat!

Obviously, you can see the value of this deal if you have a Chase Ink Bold, Ink Plus or Ink Cash card.  With the five (5) point earning it’s a really great score.  Even if you don’t have a card that earns you five (5) points per dollar, you can use this deal to meet a minimum spend on one of your new credit cards to get your bonus miles/points.

NOTE:  There is a limit of 1 discounted card per transaction but I was able to buy 5 Visa Gift cards in one visit.  The clerk did 5 separate transactions for me and was very helpful.  He was very understanding why I wanted to buy several cards and actually offered to do 5 separate transactions for me.

For families (husband & wife both apply), this is 86,000  (40,000 x 2 plus 3,000 min. spend x 2 ) American Airlines miles.  If you don’t have the US Airways Dividend Miles Mastercard, it would be great to apply for this card as well.  The US Airways Dividend Miles Mastercard currently is offering 40,000 US Airways miles which will shortly become American Airlines miles when the merger of the two airlines is completed.  I would imagine we will be given the option very soon to transfer miles back and forth between each program.  This would enable you to book flights on US Airways or American Airlines with either miles balance.  Although in most cases if you had the US Airways Dividend Mastercard you would probably be better to book through the US Airways program because as a US Airways Dividend Mastercard holder you are able to book award seats for 5,000 less miles than normal which is a great benefit.  If both husband and wife applied for both of these cards, you could score an easy 146,000 miles.  86,000 AA miles and 60,000 US Airways miles.  Note: US Airways offer is really only 30,000 miles after first purchase.  Additional 10,000 miles is earned only through transferring a balance.

Check out where Etihad Airways flies.  Don’t worry it’s not just the Middle East.  They also fly many routes in Europe, Asia, India, Africa, Australia, and America.

Also, another important piece of information to know is that Etihad Airways allows Family membership and pooling of miles together in a family account.  You can nominate a head family member and add 8 family members.  Details and registration here.

I’m not sure if these bonus miles will go under your personal Etihad Guest Number or stay in a business account.  If they did get credited to your personal Etihad Guest Number, you could enroll other family members and pool the miles together.

One last detail; this offer requires you to upload your EIN number (Employer Identification Number) during the registration.  This is the first time I’ve ever come across a business loyalty program asking for this info.  Very interesting!  So if you don’t have a EIN, I don’t know that you would be able to enroll, or maybe you can just upload a copy of your SS#.  Not sure you’d want to do that.  Anyway, just wanted to make you aware about this strange requirement.  I registered and submitted my application with my social security number and did not upload a pdf image.  Just to test the system to see if those without a EIN can register for this promotion.  I do have a EIN number myself for Miles Momma but wanted to be able to report back to you all on this promotion.  I received a confirmation email telling me I would be receiving an email shortly regarding my registration status.  So watch for an update here soon from me.
